The Russian Military is reportedly working on developing a nuclear weapon to be deployed in space that is being designed to wipe out entire Western satellite networks and knock out communications and military targeting systems‚ according to U.S. intelligence. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) sounded the alarm in a message that he sent to Members that said the Committee “has identified an urgent matter with regard to a destabilizing foreign military capability that should be known by all Congressional Policy Makers.” Turner said in a statement that while all House members are able to view some of the information about the “serious national security threat‚” he wants Biden to “declassify all information relating to this threat so that Congress‚ the Administration‚ and our allies can openly discuss the actions necessary to respond to this threat.” ABC News reported that the nuclear weapon would not be deployed against targets on earth‚ but rather is designed to target satellites.
