SpaceX’s Starbase city officials silent on crane collapse

A crane collapsed at SpaceX’s South Texas rocket facility this week, and the company’s newly-formed city won’t say if anyone was hurt. On June 23, a crane being used to clean up debris from the most recent SpaceX rocket explosion collapsed at the company’s launch complex. Footage of the accident was captured by Lab Padre, […]

Ella Langley Seemingly Confirms That She & Megan Moroney Are On Good Terms With Simple Response To TikTok Video

Sounds like it’s all good… and I hope that’s the case. For months now, Ella Langley, Riley Green and Megan Moroney have been at the center of rumors that there was some sort of love triangle going on between the three of them, which first started when fans were convinced that Riley and Ella, who worked together on the massive hit “You Look Like You Love Me,” were an item, or had at least some sort of romantic fling or something of that nature. They shut that idea down pretty much from the get go, and Riley has said before that Ella is “too smart” to date him, adding that they knew going into it that the song would cause conversation about their relationship status. They were fully expecting fans to embrace the love story, or the idea of it, the same way they did for legendary country music couples like George Jones and Tammy Wynette. He explained: “Yeah, I mean, Ella’s probably too smart to date me anyway. But I think that’s kind of the country music fan, like, they love the Tim McGraw and Faith, and the George and Tammy. And when we first started having the success we did with that song, I kinda told Ella, I was like, ‘There’s gonna be a lot of things said, but I mean, you don’t really have to play into it or not play into it, it’s gonna be something people enjoy the same way we do when we go listen to those songs.’” Even when Ella herself said they were just very good friends, it still wasn’t enough to convince the world that they were not together. But since Riley and Megan Moroney were also seen together around the same time, it started a whole new flurry of rumors and theories that it was Riley and Megan that were an item, and Ella had some sort of hard feelings towards both of them. I mean, fans have gone DEEP in terms of trying to figure out what’s gone on (or hasn’t gone on), noting everyt time someone followed someone on Instagram, analyzing all of their facial expressions to absurd levels and it’s really gone so far. So much so, that people have obviously started “choosing teams” like we’re in high school, and there’s been a strange narrative online, especially among their younger fans, that Ella and Megan don’t like each other because of everything with Riley. I have hated seeing the two of them being pitted against each other, especially over something like this, because they’re two of mainstreams most promising young acts with huge careers ahead of them. Ideally, they’d be cordial enough to support each other and maybe even work together, because the girls should stick together and they’re both in unique positions in terms of being able to really understand what the other is going through with the music and fame. And even if there was a disagreement or fight at some point, it sounds like they’re on good terms now… a fan posted the following video on TikTok: “PERSONALLY I don’t think there’s any beef. I think it’s everyone playing into the money of a narrative. BUT I love both ladies dearly- don’t think anything serious be going on between either of them and a MAN. Sue me. Whatever sells.” She added: “Just a girl who loves both Ella Langley and Megan Moroney.” Ella left a simple comment to seemingly confirm she and Megan are on good terms, saying: “Slay.” It indicates that the two of them have no beef or bad blood, and I really hope that’s the case and this weird narrative about the girls being enemies and against one another can go away forever… they’re both very talented, have their own styles and sound to their music, and I’d love to see them put out a song together one day because I know it would be a huge hit from what could be a very powerful duo: @justamberthingss PERSONALLY i don’t think there’s any beef i think it’s everyone playing into the money of a narrative. BUT i love both ladies dearly- don’t think anything serious be going on between either of them and a MAN. sue me. whatever sells #ellalangley #meganmoroney #rileygreen #meganmoroneymusic #ellalangleymusic #barefoot #barefootfestival #wildwood #wildwoodnj #fyp #fypシ ♬ cowboy friends – Ella Langley Ella dropped a new single today called “Never Met Anyone Like You”: The post Ella Langley Seemingly Confirms That She & Megan Moroney Are On Good Terms With Simple Response To TikTok Video first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Teenage Phenom, Jake Kohn, Proves He’s Wise Beyond His Years With Impressive Debut Album, ‘Where Do We Go From Here?’

He may only be 17 years old, but this Jake Kohn kid sure knows how to write a song. That statement comes as no surprise to many who have followed the Appalachian country music scene closely over the past couple of years, but if you’re just now coming across Kohn and his music, then you are in for a treat. His debut album Where Do We Go From Here? is the perfect place to start. A product of the unassumingly strong Winchester, Virginia, music scene, Kohn has grown up in nearby Stephens City, VA, and his music is steeped in the tradition of the Appalachian artists that have come before him and inspired him along the way. With an emphasis on vivid storytelling and detailed lyricism, Kohn’s songwriting is undeniably captivating and relatable for listeners on many levels, a wildly impressive feat for someone who just recently graduated from high school. But from the second Kohn opens his mouth to sing, and the listener becomes acquainted with his uniquely deep and raspy vocal prowess, it all seems to make sense. Whether his lyrics are true or not, Kohn’s vocal delivery makes you feel every word he sings, and that is the case in each track on his brand new album. Even the incredible cover that may surprise some people. Featuring 11 songs, the Where Do We Go From Here? tracklist flows seamlessly between tales of the people and places in Kohn’s young mind, running the gamut sonically between fast-paced barn burners and stripped back Appalachian balladry. Whatever kind of country music you’re into, as long as it’s the good kind, there’s something for you on this record. A long time coming, Kohn released the album’s lead single “Frostbite” via Atlantic Records in November 2023 following a semi-viral moment on YouTube when RadioWV, the same platform that put Oliver Anthony on the map, posted a video of him performing the hard-hitting track. Periodically dropping additional singles over the next year and a half, including the track he and Wyatt Flores co-wrote together for the high profile Twisters: The Album, Kohn released 7 of the 11 tracks prior to the full project’s release today, all of which have been exceptionally well received. Of the 4 brand new songs, “Fraterville, TN” is one of the many highlights on this album, telling the bone-chilling story of a tragic 1902 mine explosion. But despite all of Kohn’s fantastic songwriting on the record, one of he biggest standouts is his cover of Alice in Chains’ iconic grunge song “Nutshell,” featuring his buddy Zac Townsend, as well as Marcus King, who lays down a guitar solo for the ages. Produced by Eddie Spear, the sought after producer who has recently worked on projects with Zach Bryan, Sierra Ferrell, and Colby Acuff, among others, and featuring the likes of Flores, King, and Townsend, it’s clear that Kohn has surrounded himself with top-tier talent, and it shows in the record. Check out the Where Do We Go From Here?, and the four tracks that are just hitting streaming platforms for the first time. “The Last One” “Fraterville, TN” “Nutshell” ft. Marcus King & Zac Townsend “Vicksburg” What a special debut album from one of the most intriguing young acts in country music. I hope this project is just he what he needed for his music to blow up, because this music deserves to be heard by the masses. In addition to a handful of existing tour dates remaining this summer, Kohn recently announced an 18 show co-headlining tour with Low Water Bridge Band, and trust me, these are shows you will not want to miss. Check out Kohn’s tour dates below, and make sure to go ahead and grab your tickets if he’s coming to a city near you. You’ll be glad you caught him before he blows up. Parker McCollum Says He “Said Yes Immediately” When Asked To Play President Donald Trump’s Inauguration

An honor that he couldn’t pass up. It’s been a big 12 months for Parker McCollum. Last August he and his wife Hallie Ray welcomed their first child, a son named Major. And just today he released his self-titled, fifth studio album. But back in January he got asked to do something that he couldn’t say no to: Perform at a presidential inauguration. Parker performed at the Commander-in-Chief ball, one of three inaugural balls attended by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump during the inauguration day festivities. During his performance, Parker paid tribute to the late, great Toby Keith with a performance of “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” which Toby himself had performed at Trump’s first inauguration back in 2017. @brandon.warren54 What way to cap the night off!! #parkermccollum #tobykeith #tribute #redwhiteandblue #wereback @parkermccollum @Toby Keith ♬ original sound – brandon.warren54 And of course there was the usual backlash from people who get mad at anybody associated with Trump, which is to be expected. But Parker apparently wasn’t worried about any of that. During a recent interview with the AP, the Gold Chain Cowboy said he didn’t have to think about it when he was asked to perform at the inauguration: “I said yes immediately.” Despite immediately agreeing to perform, Parker says that it’s not until you’re actually there that you recognize the magnitude of the event: “You don’t realize how big of an event that is until you go, and you’re the band at a presidential inauguration. The city is shut down, it is just logistically a nightmare, but it was a crazy honor to get to be considered and thought of.” And what did President Trump think of Parker’s performance? Well, he’s not sure… “Donald Trump probably has no idea that we even played at the inauguration, but you get one shot on this planet. If you get to play a presidential inauguration, go play the inauguration. Like, what a crazy honor. And I was really glad we did it.” Amen. @apnewsentertainment Parker McCollum reflected on the surreal experience of performing at Trump’s inauguration. The country singer drops his fifth full-length album, a self-titled project, this week. #parkermccollum #trump #donaldtrump #inauguration #presidentialinauguration ♬ original sound – AP Entertainment The comments echo those made by Jason Aldean, who recently spoke on the honor of performing for a presidential inauguration, regardless of who’s taking office: “I don’t think it’s a big secret that I’m a Trump fan. I love what he does. I think he’s my kind of president, you know what I mean? He’s a friend, and it was an honor for us to get to play that. It was something that I actually made the call and said, ‘Hey, this is something that I want to be a part of, I want us to be a part of, and if there’s any way for you guys to include us, let me know.’ And they called and wanted us to play.” Aldean says it was a bucket list moment, and an opportunity to check something off the list that he had never done: Play for a president. “I think for us, I mean, 20 years on the road and we’ve done a lot of stuff. We’ve played Grammys, we’ve played all of it. Every awards show, we’ve played stadiums, we’ve done duets, we’ve done it all. One thing we had never done was play for a president. And so to do that, I think for us as entertainers it’s another box to be like, man, this crazy life and career we’ve had. We did all these things and there’s another box we checked that we – I mean, just a bunch of reject kids that learned to play instruments and we’re like, this was not supposed to happen for us and here we are doing it. It’s cool. So to me it was an honor. And it was cold… It was electric around that place when we played that. It was so cool, just the atmosphere that night and being part of it, it was awesome.” Regardless of your politics, it’s gotta be an honor to be asked to play for any President of the United States. And when that president happens to be a friend of yours, there’s no doubt it’s even better. The post Parker McCollum Says He “Said Yes Immediately” When Asked To Play President Donald Trump’s Inauguration first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
