Sending prayers to the bus driver. Drake White took to Instagram yesterday, October 23, to share that he and his band were sadly involved in a bus accident while en route to Albany, New York. White shared on his social media that he and his band were safe; however, their bus driver sustained injuries and was sent to the hospital to receive medical attention. “Our bus was involved in an accident at about 2:30 AM. Everyone is okay as far as the band and the crew, uh, the bus driver is currently in the hospital. We will unfortunately not be able to play our show in Albany, New York tonight.” The accident led Drake White to cancel last night’s show in New York, on October 23, but he and his band are back at it tonight in Massachusetts, on October 24. Before continuing with his message, White thanks all the fans who bought tickets to the show in Albany and apologizes for the last-minute cancellation. “Sometimes, unfortunately, these things happen as we put a lot of miles on these roads, and I just appreciate your thoughts and prayers for being with our bus driver, and we’ll see you down the road.”  White did not provide much information about the crash or its cause. However, at the end of his message, he shared images of the bus with his fans and followers. The front windshield of the bus is smashed on the driver’s side. They would also share an additional passage in the caption, citing Psalm 31:10, 14-15: “I am dying from my grief; my years are shortened by sadness. Misery has drained my strength; I am wasting away from within. But I am trusting you, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in your hands.” It should go without saying that a loss like this is unimaginably devastating.
