Ceasefire Finished? Israeli Forces Strike Gaza After Hamas Allegedly Breaks Ceasefire Agreement

Well, the peace in the Middle East didn’t last too long. On Sunday, the Israeli military conducted strikes against Hamas in Gaza. According to an Israeli military spokesperson the Israeli strikes come after Hamas allegedly broke the ceasefire agreement. BREAKING: Hamas VIOLATED the ceasefire agreement, launching an RPG and sniper attack on Israeli forces inside Gaza – as a result, Israel struck back Is Hamas about to FAFO with President Trump? pic.twitter.com/Zrsxbg7j8D — Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) October 19, 2025 Fox News reported the latest military developments in Gaza and Hamas did to break the ceasefire: The Israeli military conducted strikes against Hamas in Gaza after accusing the terrorist organization of repeatedly violating its ceasefire agreement on Sunday. An Israeli military official confirmed the strikes to Fox News on Sunday, pointing to attacks by Hamas since Friday. The IDF later confirmed that it was taking actions in Gaza. “Earlier today, terrorists fired an anti-tank missile and gunfire toward IDF troops operating to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in the Rafah area, in southern Gaza, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement,” the IDF said in a statement. “In response, the IDF has begun striking in the area to eliminate the threat and dismantle tunnel shafts and military structures used for terrorist activity,” it continued. Israel has responded by striking areas in the north and south of the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office says he has instructed the minister of defense and other security heads to “act forcefully” in reaction to the attacks. Hamas claims it has “no knowledge” of any attacks against Israeli forces, releasing a statement on Sunday saying they were still abiding by the terms of the agreement. “We affirm our full commitment to implementing everything that has been agreed upon, foremost among which is the ceasefire in all areas of the Gaza Strip. We have no knowledge of any events or clashes taking place in the Rafah area,” the group wrote. Israel has resumed bombing in southern Gaza, breaking the ceasefire, after alleged violations by Hamas. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has called for a resumption of fighting in the Gaza Strip at “full strength.” Follow: @AFpost pic.twitter.com/vC89Hwlwjz — AF Post (@AFpost) October 19, 2025 Thought? The Guardian reported more Israeli strikes on Gaza could happen again: An Israeli military official has said that more airstrikes could be carried out in Gaza, after attacks earlier in the day in Rafah in the south and Beit Lahia in the north, according to AFP. “There is a possibility for more strikes,” the official told reporters during an online briefing, after the army said it had targeted militants responsible for three separate attacks on Israeli forces.

Maddening: IL Judge Bans ICE and Border Patrol from Courts

Another activist judge in Illinois ruled that Border Patrol and ICE agents cannot make arrests inside or around courtrooms in the state. Obviously making arrests in those areas is far safer than other areas such as on the street or in homes. “Cook County Circuit Chief Judge Timothy Evans is barring civil arrests of people […] The post Maddening: IL Judge Bans ICE and Border Patrol from Courts appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Speaker Johnson Pushes Back On ‘No Kings’ Protests

House Speaker Mike Johnson pushed back Sunday on the widespread “no kings” protests that took place across the United States a day earlier, saying that President Donald Trump was far from the authoritarian “king” Democrats were claiming that he was. Johnson joined host Jonathan Karl on ABC’s “This Week” to discuss a wide range of topics, from the ongoing government shutdown to the protests — some of which were attended by high-profile elected Democrats — and he argued that if Trump were behaving like a king, the government shutdown would not still be in effect. WATCH: “If President Trump was a king, the government would be open right now. If President Trump was a king, they would not have been able to engage in that free speech exercise,” Speaker Johnson tells @JonKarl following the nationwide “No Kings” protests. https://t.co/wiTLxsYRmW pic.twitter.com/AIDORW7u64 — This Week (@ThisWeekABC) October 19, 2025 “Let’s start with the ‘no kings’ rallies,” Karl jumped right in after introducing Johnson. “You called these ‘Hate America rallies,’ what do you mean by that?” “Well, that collection of folks that I listed were certainly part of it. We congratulate them on an apparently violent free speech exercise. I was a First Amendment lawyer for 20 years, we defend that right — but the irony of the message is pretty clear for everyone. If President Trump was a king, the government would be open right now. If President Trump was a king, they would not have been able to engage in that free speech exercise out on the mall, by the way, which was open because President Trump hasn’t closed it,” Johnson replied, taking aim at former President Barack Obama, who did close outdoor monuments when the government shut down under his leadership. “In the last shutdown, 2013-era, President Obama closed the National Mall,” he said. “He closed all the national parks, didn’t allow people to engage in all this.” “So it’s — they needed a stunt, they needed a show. Chuck Schumer has — needs cover right now, he’s closed the government down because he needs political cover and this was part of it,” Johnson concluded, Schumer faced backlash from within his own party during the last shutdown battle, largely because he voted with Republicans and said that it was more important to keep the government open than to score a few political points.

Sixth Tiny Home Village is Ending Homelessness for Veterans Across the US: ‘This place saved me’

This week, the nonprofit Veterans Community Project (VCP) broke ground on its sixth tiny home village, this time in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to offer more military veterans a fresh start with housing and individualized care. Each 240-square-foot home is part of a larger community designed to help residents regain stability and independence. Since its founding in […] The post Sixth Tiny Home Village is Ending Homelessness for Veterans Across the US: ‘This place saved me’ appeared first on Good News Network.

What Mamdani Means for NYC: VDH’s Warning

Victor Davis Hanson warned Americans to not be fooled by Zohran Mamdani’s charming smile. Hanson joined Mark Levin on Fox News’ “Life, Liberty, & Levin” Saturday night and broke down three main factors contributing to the leading mayoral candidate for New York City’s popularity. “I think he feels that he’s a creature of an off year, low turnout election in New York,” Hanson said. “Number two: The demography of New York has changed when people fled it after COVID. And then he’s going to run on this Obama-like charismatic smile.” There’s “a million or a million and a half less conservative voters” after COVID, Hanson explained. And then with his charming front, Mamdani appears like “he is not going to be dangerous” because he “doesn’t scream and yell like Elizabeth Warren” does, for example. ‘He Hates the System That Made Him:’ Victor Davis Hanson Slams Mamdani as Privileged, Arrogant, and Anti-American@VDHanson warned Americans to not be fooled by Zohran Mamdani’s charming smile when he joined Mark Levin Saturday night.“He smiles a lot, and he lies. He wants to… pic.twitter.com/Jj7LRqKhPW— The Daily Signal (@DailySignal) October 19, 2025 “That fools a lot of people,” Hanson said. “He appeals to the upper, upper middle class who feel that their intellectual abilities or their degrees entitle them to a certain lifestyle, and they don’t have it in New York.” Hanson added that he doesn’t think Mamdani’s supporters “expect what he’ll do.” “We’re really talking about the upper, upper middle class in a low turnout election with a divided ticket with Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa, and he [Mamdani] thinks he can sneak in, and I think he’s right,” Hanson predicted.  There could have been a united front against Mamdani, however, “with a center-right candidate,” Hanson said. Candidates like former New York City Mayors Mike Bloomberg, or better yet, like Rudy Giuliani, “would’ve won … but they didn’t have that.” “He [Mamdani] smiles a lot, and he lies,” Hanson said. “He wants to disarm everybody in New York. He wants to outlaw guns, but he doesn’t want to disarm Hamas. It makes no sense, but it does make sense if he’s a radical Marxist, which he is.” Mamdani is actually a very “privileged” person who “grew up with advantages” because his parents are a “multimillionaire professor [and a] filmmaker,” Hanson said. “He seems to hate the very system that empowered his entire family,” Hanson said. “He’s a very dangerous person because he is charismatic.” The post What Mamdani Means for NYC: VDH’s Warning appeared first on The Daily Signal.
