Tell us how you really feel… Tim McGraw was in Las Vegas last weekend for his Tim McGraw: Live in Vegas shows, which he’s playing in place of Dolly Parton’s previously-scheduled residency shows, which she postponed until 2026 due to health issues. But it wasn’t exactly his performance that had people talking… There’s was video a viral video of McGraw wearing some, um, statement pants, if you will, and they definitely had people talking online. McGraw was seen onstage in what looks like suede neutral pants, which were pretty tight, and featured fringe all the way down the sides of the legs. I love his music. I love his voice, but oh my God I cannot take my eyes off of those pants.” “No no no. He’s on a roll. Over the weekend, Riley Green scored his fourth Country Airplay #1 with his second duet with Ella Langley, “Don’t Mind If I Do.” It’s Ella’s second on that chart, and they’re now just the second pair since the list launched in January 1990 to have earned multiple collaborative #1s, after Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani led in 2020 with “Nobody but You” and “Happy Anywhere.” For Riley, he becomes the first artist since Taylor Swift to land back-to-back Country Airplay #1s with songs written entirely on his or her own. One of his other solo writes, “Worst Way,” led the chart for two weeks in June. And he also played a couple of shows in Las Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo (NFR), and he performed am unreleased new duet called “Go Ahead” with Hannah McFarland, who is an up-and-coming country artist and Alabama native like Riley. She will be on the road with him in 2026 for his Cowboy As It Gets tour, so you’re likely to hear the studio cut of this one well before the tour starts: “Last nights red wine has my head hurting, Didn’t sleep a wink all night, Somehow girl you still look perfect, I guess we knew that you’d be leaving, One night with you ain’t near enough for what I’m needing, So, you can climb in that cab and catch that flight back to LA You can shut the blinds, Shut out the world, lay in this damn bed all day…” The duets clearly work for him, and considering the success he’s had with Ella Langley on two duets now, including their award-winning song “You Look Like You Love Me,” I think it’s smart to keep going with those and this one sounds great from what I could hear in this live performance. Last week, Riley talked to Katie Neal during an interview on her Katie & Company radio show, where he revealed that he’s already been in the studio cutting new songs, and he says they’re even more raw and stripped back than his aforementioned recent album. He explained that all of the new cuts are built around an acoustic track, and are much less produced than anything he’s done before… which is saying a lot, because I think Riley tends to keep it pretty simple all the time, which is what I love about his music. He added that it’s “the direction I’ve wanted to go” for a while, and I already think it will be some of his best music yet: “I was gonna tell you about it… yeah, we recorded some new songs. There’s some country stuff. I feel like it’s a little raw… a little rougher recording, which I really enjoy. I think that was something we did right on this last album. I was excited about going into the studio and doing a little less production, kind of building around an acoustic track, and that’s literally what we did. Yeah, there’s some stuff that I feel like is a little different, a little less produced, which is kind of the direction I’ve wanted to go.” He was very vague on when we might expect to hear some of these songs, but I would guess he will probably release a new album, or at least several songs, before he hits the road on his aforementioned tour… stay tuned.
