2026 Honda Rebel 300 with E-Clutch and Other Rebel Models Announced

2026 Honda Rebel 300 E-Clutch in Pearl Smoky Gray The 2026 Honda Rebel lineup will include the Rebel 300, three variants of the Rebel 500, and five variants of the Rebel 1100. Most models return unchanged, but the Rebel 300 will now come with Honda’s E-Clutch.  2026 Honda Rebel 300  New for 2026 is the addition of Honda E-Clutch technology to the Honda Rebel 300, simplifying the riding experience. Aimed at new and younger riders, the Rebel 300 is the smallest model in the Rebel family and offers a low seat height, a low weight, and an affordable price tag. It is now even more accessible thanks to the addition of Honda’s E-Clutch, first seen on the CB650R and CBR650R. The E-Clutch actuates the clutch automatically so the rider doesn’t need to use the clutch lever at all. If the rider chooses to use the clutch lever, the E-Clutch will shut off for five seconds. While using E-Clutch, the rider needs only to use the foot lever to shift; the machine will engage and disengage the clutch on its own. For a thorough explanation and review of the E-Clutch technology, read our 2024 Honda CB650R and CBR650R Review.  The Honda Rebel 300 E-Clutch offers a slim profile, making it easier for new riders to manage. Except for the addition of the E-Clutch, the Rebel 300 returns unchanged. It remains powered by a 286cc Single and has a tubular-steel frame. Seat height is 27.1 inches, and curb weight is 379 lb. It features a relaxed and neutral riding position with midmount footpegs and includes an LCD instrument display and LED lighting.  2026 Honda Rebel 300 E-Clutch in Matte Black Metallic The 2026 Honda Rebel 300 will be available in Matte Black Metallic or Pearl Smoky Gray for $5,349.  2026 Honda Rebel 500  Providing a more powerful option while remaining approachable is the Rebel 500, powered by a 471cc parallel-Twin. It has a 27.2-inch seat height and weighs 414 lb, and it also includes an LCD instrument display and LED lighting. It’s available in a standard trim and an SE trim with added accessories including a brown diamond-stitch seat, black fork boots, and a color-matched headlight cowl. Both versions include ABS.  2026 Honda Rebel 500 SE in Pearl Blue The 2026 Rebel 500 will be available in Pearl Black or Pearl Smoky Gray for $6,799. The 2026 Rebel 500 SE will be available in Pearl Blue for $6,999.  2026 Honda Rebel 500 in Pearl Black 2026 Honda Rebel 1100  The big brother of the Rebel family is the Rebel 1100. Introduced in 2021, the 1100 is powered by a 1,083cc parallel-Twin from the Africa Twin. It includes rider aids like engine brake control, traction control, cruise control, three preset ride modes, and two user-customizable ride modes. It also includes a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, and a USB-C port sits near the handlebar.  2026 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT in Matte Silver The 2026 Rebel 1100 is available in five trim options, three of which include Honda’s Dual-Clutch Transmission and two of which are the T (touring) trim with a fairing and saddlebags.  2026 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT SE in Deep Pearl Gray The standard model will be available in Matte Black Metallic or Matte Silver for $9,699, and the Rebel 1100 DCT is available in the same two colors for $10,399. The Rebel 1100 DCT SE adds fork boots, bar-end mirrors, a color-matched headlight cowl, a short front fender, and a special seat. It’s offered in Deep Pearl Gray for $11,199. The two T trims are available in Gray Metallic, with the manual-transmission version priced at $10,899 and the DCT version at $11,599.  2026 Honda Rebel 1100T in Gray Metallic Visit the Honda website for more information.  Check out more new bikes in Rider’s 2026 Motorcycle Buyers Guide  The post 2026 Honda Rebel 300 with E-Clutch and Other Rebel Models Announced  appeared first on Rider Magazine.

State Dept Insider Charged Under Espionage Act After Mishandling Secret Docs, Meetings With China

A senior State Department adviser who had repeatedly met with Chinese government officials was arrested after investigators discovered more than a thousand pages of classified documents at his home, according to the FBI. The Justice Department announced Tuesday that 64-year-old Ashley Tellis was arrested by the FBI over the weekend and charged with the unlawful retention of national defense information under the Espionage Act. Tellis has worked for the State Department since 2001 and has a Top Secret security clearance. An FBI raid of his Vienna, Virginia, home on October 11 found more than 1,000 pages of documents marked “Top Secret” or “Secret,” according to an FBI affidavit. The document also said that Tellis had met with Chinese government officials to discuss international affairs and received a red gift bag at one such meeting.  “We are fully focused on protecting the American people from all threats, foreign and domestic. The charges as alleged in this case represent a grave risk to the safety and security of our citizens,” said U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan. “The facts and the law in this case are clear, and we will continue following them to ensure that justice is served.” Tellis, an expert on India and South Asian affairs, is a naturalized American citizen who was born and raised in India. He had been a contractor for the Office of Net Assessment at the Pentagon and is a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. On September 12, the affidavit says that surveillance footage captured Tellis arriving at a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility at a Pentagon building in Alexandria, Virginia, where he “had a co-worker print multiple classified documents for him that day.” Later, after he had left, investigators found a document marked “TOP SECRET” in a file folder at a cubicle used by Tellis, the FBI said. He returned on October 10, allegedly putting the documents into his briefcase before leaving the building.  In a different instance, Tellis entered a State Department building on September 25 and printed hundreds of pages of secret information on Air Force techniques and procedures, the affidavit says. He also printed additional information on military aircraft capabilities, according to the FBI.  Get 40% off new DailyWire+ annual memberships with code FALL40 at checkout!  “The documents were generally found in four locations: (1) a four-drawer locked filing cabinet in a closet in the basement home office area; (2) a two-drawer locked filing cabinet in the basement home office area; (3) in the vicinity of a desk in the basement home office area; and (4) in three large black trash bags in an unfinished storage room in the basement,” the affidavit says.  The FBI also said that Tellis had multiple meetings with Chinese officials at Northern Virginia restaurants from September 15, 2022, to September 2, 2025.  The first meeting occurred at a restaurant in Fairfax when Tellis allegedly arrived with a manila envelope, and Chinese officials arrived with a “gift bag,” according to the affidavit. Tellis left without the manila envelope, the FBI said. During a different meeting in Fairfax on April 11, 2023, Tellis allegedly discussed Iran-China relations and artificial intelligence. On March 19, 2024, Tellis was overheard talking about America’s relationship with Pakistan with Chinese officials, according to the affidavit.  At the most recent meeting, Tellis was given a red gift bag by Chinese officials on September 2 in Fairfax, according to the FBI. If convicted, Tellis could face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

U.S. Military Warns Hamas To End Gaza Violence After Trump Vows To ‘Disarm’ Terrorist Group

The U.S. Central Command on Wednesday “strongly” urged Hamas to end its violence in Gaza after President Donald Trump vowed that the terror group would be disarmed. Admiral Brad Cooper, the CENTCOM commander, issued a statement calling on Hamas to take advantage of “an historic opportunity for peace … by fully standing down, strictly adhering to Trump’s 20-point peace plan, and disarming without delay.” This week, Hamas terrorists have ramped up their efforts to reassert control in the Gaza Strip after Israeli forces pulled out of most areas in Gaza in accordance with the ceasefire and hostage agreement. At least seven men, whom Hamas accused of conspiring with Israel, were publicly executed in Gaza on Monday. Hamas has also been fighting with rival groups in Gaza in recent days. “We strongly urge Hamas to immediately suspend violence and shooting at innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza — in both Hamas-held parts of Gaza and those secured by the IDF behind the Yellow Line,” Admiral Cooper said. Get 40% off new DailyWire+ annual memberships with code FALL40 at checkout!  “We have conveyed our concerns to the mediators who agreed to work with us to enforce the peace and protect innocent Gaza civilians,” Cooper added. “We remain highly optimistic for the future of peace in the region.” President Trump said on Tuesday that Hamas has already promised to disarm, a major demand in his 20-point peace plan. “They’re going to disarm because they said they were going to disarm,” Trump said. “And if they don’t disarm, we will disarm them.” “They know I’m not playing games,” the president added. Media reports published last week claimed that the United States was deploying 200 troops to Israel to watch over the ceasefire, but White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said those reports were “NOT true and taken out of context.” Leavitt added, “To be clear: up to 200 U.S. personnel, who are already stationed at CENTCOM, will be tasked with monitoring the peace agreement in Israel, and they will work with other international forces on the ground.” CENTCOM’s area of responsibility spans across 21 nations in the Middle East. (Photo by CENTCOM/Handout/Anadolu via Getty Images) Vice President JD Vance said earlier this week that the administration had no plans to put American troops on the ground in Gaza or Israel. “We’re not planning to put boots on the ground. What we already have is a U.S. Central Command, we already have people in that region of the world,” Vance told NBC News on Sunday. “They’re going to monitor the terms of the ceasefire. They’re going to monitor, ensure the humanitarian aid is flowing.” The first phase of Trump’s peace plan, which went into effect on Monday, did not include Hamas laying down its weapons, nor have the terrorists agreed to give up control of the Gaza Strip, another major point of the president’s plan. Trump, however, remains optimistic that the terror group will agree to those stipulations in the future. Israel has already accused Hamas of failing to follow through on its promise to hand over all of the remaining hostages. While the 20 remaining living hostages were handed over earlier this week, Israel is still waiting to receive the remains of dozens of hostages who died in Hamas captivity. The Israel Defense Forces said on Wednesday that one of the four bodies it has received so far “does not match any of the hostages.” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office called on Hamas to uphold its end of the agreement and return all 28 deceased hostages. Netanyahu’s office said that Israel “will not compromise on this and will spare no effort until we return all of the fallen hostages, every last one of them.”

John Rich Reflects On Charlie Kirk’s Legacy: ‘Say Things That Will Outlast You’

Daily Wire podcast host Isabel Brown on Tuesday put together a tribute episode to honor slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk on what would have been his 32nd birthday. Brown invited big-name country music artists and smaller indie acts to discuss faith, music, and Kirk’s impact on the world. Legendary country star John Rich also stopped by “The Isabel Brown Show” to pay tribute to Kirk and discuss what it means to stand up for faith and principles in the entertainment industry. “As an American, you always have this decision to make at some point, especially in today’s culture, and that is, ‘Am I willing to say what I really think and stand for what I really stand for, knowing I’m going to take a horrible bloody nose in my career or possibly worse?’” he told Brown, adding that he “wrestled with that for many years.” “My American dream was to play country music, be on the radio, play the Grand Ole Opry, write hit songs, all of that,” Rich went on. “And so knowing that the industry was so liberal, if I came out swinging as a Christian conservative patriot, I’m probably going to be short-lived from that point forward … And sure enough, that was the case. I’m not on the radio anymore. I don’t get invited to their big fancy parties. But on the other hand, I can say whatever I want to.” “I can speak the truth,” the singer said. “And, you know, Charlie represented that. I mean, you see a guy who knew that walking into those situations was going to be uncomfortable at the least and potentially dangerous, which now we know it was actually deadly to walk into those situations. But he represents what it means to be a real Christian.” “Real Christians don’t just speak the truth when it’s comfortable,” Rich added. “Matter of fact, quite the opposite.” The singer also mentioned Kirk’s legacy, with more young people following his example and getting married and having children.  “It’s literally the greatest feeling a person can ever have, as you know and as I know,” Rich said of marriage and parenthood. “And I think that that has been downplayed, ridiculed, demonized, even to go out and get married and have kids. I mean, we’ve seen it in the media.” Get 40% off new DailyWire+ annual memberships with code FALL40 at checkout!  He added, “‘No, you don’t need to do that. You need to be a Kardashian. You need to be a pro athlete. You need to be this, be that.’ What about just being a regular, good dad or a regular, good mom? And they’ve never really talked about the benefits you get back to yourself when you become a good dad or a good mom. There’s nothing in the world that compares.” Rich said the Christian revival that was set in motion following Kirk’s assassination has been inspiring.  “I do think with Charlie’s death, the mask of shallowness has been pulled back off of our culture … It’s giving people a line of sight into the real deep things of life that really matter.” The country star also offered advice to anyone seeking to live a better life. “Put things into motion that will outlive you,” he said. “That way down the road when you’re no longer here, whether you die at 31 or 110, somebody somewhere gets to hear or see you do or say something that impacts them long after you’re gone.” He went on, “It’s okay to go be successful, but your focus should be significance in your music, in your art, in what you say, in your speech. In shows like this, say things that will outlast you. That would be my advice.” Singer Matthew West agreed with all points and also discussed the challenges of being the father of teenagers. He said he’d “been a fan of Charlie’s for a long time” and was always “inspired by his bold stance, but also the way that he exercised his right to free speech in such a respectful way.” “I have teenage daughters, you know, who need young influencers like Charlie showing them the way and speaking into their lives like Charlie,” West said. He added that in the aftermath of Kirk’s assassination, he felt a “stirring,” which was noticeable when he performed his song “Unashamed” several days later at a stadium in Pennsylvania.  “I definitely have felt just a stirring taking place and a spiritual awakening, as well as just a cultural awakening of going, ‘What kind of voice am I gonna have in the world? And am I willing to use it even if it comes at a cost?’” West emphasized the impact Kirk was able to make despite being young. “There’s a verse in the Bible that says, ‘Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers,’” he said, referencing a passage that’s been used in reference to Kirk many times since his death. The singer said the hatred against Kirk is also very revealing as it’s proof of “the legitimate spiritual warfare that we as Christians do believe is constantly raging on around us at all times.”  West said his takeaway is to be even bolder in his faith despite the backlash he may experience. “There’s a line in one of my songs called ‘Unashamed’ and it’s made me think about Charlie,” he told Brown. “And every time I find myself singing it on stage since Charlie’s death, I think about him and I think about like, I just, I almost sing it kind of angry. And the line says, ‘I don’t answer to the crowd/ I answer to a King/ So the louder they shout/ The louder I sing.’”  West also performed a song he wrote as a tribute to Kirk, which came to him on the night of the assassination.  “September 10th, after we found out that Charlie had gone home to be with the Lord, I gathered my wife and my two daughters together and we talked about it and we prayed … later that night, I heard a song coming from my daughter’s bedroom and she was just up there, my 19 year old daughter with her guitar and she was singing … this old hymn  from my childhood.” He added, “And I went to bed that night and … a Bible verse woke me up early that morning. I don’t want to romanticize it, but literally that’s what happened.” The singer-songwriter said the idea of God being close, even in the face of a tragedy, inspired the song “Be Close,” which he performed on the tribute episode. Brown’s tribute episode, “A Life Worth Singing For,” also included insight and reflection from Cole Swindell, Abe Parker, and Anne Wilson.
