The FBI arrested an individual living in Louisiana who allegedly participated in the Hamas October 7, 2023, massacre of Israelis before traveling to the United States on a fraudulent visa, according to a newly unsealed criminal complaint.

Federal prosecutors have accused Mahmoud Amin Ya’qub al-Muhtadi, 33, of Louisiana, of taking part in the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, massacre in Israel and of gaining entry to the United States through a fraudulent visa application. According to a criminal complaint unsealed Thursday, al-Muhtadi wasn’t just a bystander. He’s accused of organizing armed fighters in Gaza, helping coordinate the assault, and crossing into Israel himself just behind the first wave of Hamas terrorists. Communications from that morning show al-Muhtadi instructing others to “bring the rifles,” “get ready,” and asking for bulletproof vests and ammunition. One message was blunt: “If you have a full magazine, bring it to me.” The FBI complaint, according to The New York Times, reveals his phone connected to an Israeli cell tower on the morning of the attack — a damning indicator he may have crossed into Israeli territory. Nearby, 60 people — including American citizens — were slaughtered at a kibbutz. Though al-Muhtadi hasn’t yet been charged with directly murdering anyone, the evidence places him near the scene of the massacre and in contact with those actively involved. He got into the United States. Al-Muhtadi allegedly applied for a U.S. immigrant visa under the name Mahmoud Almuhtadi, claiming to have no connection to paramilitary groups or terrorism. He entered America through Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in September 2024 and later posted selfies on social media — holding a Glock — from Tulsa, Oklahoma. By May 2025, he was tracked to Lafayette, Louisiana, where he was working at a restaurant when the feds caught up to him. And al-Muhtadi wasn’t acting alone. According to the complaint, he’s a known member of the National Resistance Brigades, the armed wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) — a Gazan Marxist terror organization with a long, bloody track record of murdering Israelis. The DFLP has operated alongside Hamas in multiple attacks, including on October 7. Despite being previously designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. State Department, the DFLP was quietly removed years ago, supposedly due to its declining influence. Daily Wire hosts discussed Generation Z’s apparent rejection of radical gender theories during the premiere of “Friendly Fire” on DailyWire+ Thursday night, debating whether the young generation is headed in a positive direction. Daily Wire host Michael Knowles kicked off the segment on transgenderism by citing a recent study from the University of Buckingham on “The Decline of Trans and Queer Identity among Young Americans.” The study showed that in the past two years, there has been a steady decline among undergrad students who identify as “nonbinary.” Knowles kicked it over to the newest Daily Wire host, Isabel Brown, asking, “Isabel, I need to know: is your generation not gay anymore?” Twenty-eight-year-old Brown, who wrote the book, “The End of the Alphabet: How Gen Z Can Save America,” replied, saying, “I have been trying to warn the world that Gen Z, the kids, were alright for a very long time. Walsh, however, said that he does believe studies and anecdotal observations show “the trans and ‘nonbinary’ thing is declining, it’s losing steam.” “And that was inevitable and the reason why is because no one ever really believed it to begin with,” Walsh added. He argued that the culture has shifted in recent years, and people are no longer afraid to speak out about the insanity of the transgender identity. “I’m not surprised that we’re seeing this trend. I don’t know that we’re going to see it extend over to homosexuality, but I do think that with trans and ‘nonbinary’ that it’s on its way out,” Walsh said. Daily Wire host Andrew Klavan said that he agrees with Brown that Gen Z “will actually save the world.” “They are not the way the two generations between the Boomers and them are,” Klavan said. “They aren’t hostile, women dress like women, the men look perfectly comfortable being men, they don’t radiate the same kind of hostility that I get from the people who are around like 50. Somehow feminism seems to have lost its grip on them, and they seem just much more comfortable in their skins, so I’m hopeful.” Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro chimed in, saying that transgenderism became the “ultimate victimhood status,” but now that victimhood status is going out of vogue. “The victimhood status went away because of things like what Matt did and what we did, obviously, here at The Daily Wire over the course of the last ten years, and sanity reasserted itself,” Shapiro said. “And you’re no longer considered an inherent victim because you’re a man who claims to be a woman, or the opposite. In fact, in some cases, you may in fact be an aggressor as we have seen from time to time.” Shapiro, however, was not optimistic about the future of Gen Z and warned that many young Americans would move on from radical gender theory and adopt full-blown Marxism, finding their identity in their perceived economic disadvantages. After finding victimhood status in race and sex, Gen Z will move to financial situation, Shapiro argued. “I’m optimistic that people are going to move away from crazier, ‘I’m sexually identifying as a cat’ routine, but I think they are going to increasingly identify as somehow economically dispossessed and then call for massive government interventionism, which is mostly what the [Zohran] Mamdani moment is about,” Shapiro continued. “And that, by the way, is what you’re seeing mostly in the polls for young people,” he said. “Young people are increasingly hot on socialism and communism, they’re increasingly hot on massive government interventionism, they don’t really like capitalism very much, so I think that the next victimhood status is going to go back to classic Marx victimhood status.”

Former National Security Adviser John Bolton surrendered to authorities on Friday morning for his arraignment and pleaded not guilty to the 18 federal charges he faces related to his handling of classified documents. Bolton made his first court appearance in Greenbelt, Maryland, before Judge Timothy Sullivan. After pleading not guilty, Bolton is set to be released and is not required to post bail. He is due back in court on November 21, CNN reported. Bolton is allowed to travel domestically, but he will be required to hand over his passport and travel documents to his lawyer. If he wants to travel internationally, he will have to seek approval from the court. While Judge Sullivan oversaw Bolton’s federal arraignment on Friday, U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang — an Obama appointee — has been assigned the case going forward, CNN reported. In August, the FBI raided the former national security adviser’s home in Maryland, taking troves of documents, three computers, and two iPhones amid the Justice Department’s investigation into his handling of classified material. President Trump said on Thursday that he was not aware that Bolton had been indicted, but added, “I think he’s a bad person.” “It’s too bad, but that’s the way it goes,” Trump told reporters. In a statement on Thursday, Bolton said that he was being targeted in a political prosecution. “For four decades, I have devoted my life to America’s foreign policy and national security. I would never compromise those goals. I tried to do that during my tenure in the first Trump administration but resigned when it became impossible to do so,” said Bolton. “Now, I have become the latest target in weaponizing the Justice Department to charge those he deems to be his enemies with charges that were declined before or distort the facts,” he added. In 2023, Trump was also charged with crimes related to his handling of classified documents after leaving office. That case was dismissed a year later after Trump-nominated District Court Judge Aileen Cannon ruled that the appointment of Special Counsel Jack Smith violated the Constitution. Bolton is accused of sending “diary-like entries” to two people “that contained information classified” as “TOP SECRET.” The two people to whom Bolton allegedly sent the classified information were his wife and daughter, CNN reported. “BOLTON wrote many of these diary-like entries by transcribing his handwritten notes from his day’s activities into word processing documents, which he then electronically sent to Individuals 1 and 2 through a commercial non-governmental messaging application,” the indictment reads. “On other occasions, BOLTON used his personal non-governmental email accounts, such as email accounts hosted by AOL and Google, to email information classified up to the TOP SECRET/SCI level to Individuals 1 and/or 2 at their personal email accounts,” the indictment adds. “At no point did BOLTON have authorization to store or transmit the classified information that he sent to Individuals 1 and 2 via his personal electronic devices and accounts. Nor did, at any time, Individuals 1 or 2 have authorization to know or store the classified information that BOLTON gave to them.” The investigation into Bolton’s handling of classified documents gained momentum under the Biden administration and continued after President Trump took office for a second time in January, The New York Times reported. After serving under Trump from 2018 to 2019, Bolton became a harsh critic of the president and authored a book on his experience less than a year after Trump said he fired Bolton as National Security Adviser. Trump said that he terminated Bolton, but Bolton has insisted that he resigned from his position. The book, “The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir,” was promoted as “the most comprehensive and substantial account of the Trump Administration.” The Trump administration argued that Bolton’s book endangered national security. After a back-and-forth, Bolton removed classified information from his book manuscript before he published it, according to court records.
