Prey Is Finally Getting the Theatrical Release Director Dan Trachtenberg Says It Was Made For

News Prey Prey Is Finally Getting the Theatrical Release Director Dan Trachtenberg Says It Was Made For The 2022 film is showing as part of a Predator double feature. By Molly Templeton | Published on October 8, 2025 Image: David Bukach. © 2022 20th Century Studios Comment 0 Share New Share Image: David Bukach. © 2022 20th Century Studios In 2022, Dan Trachtenberg’s first Predator film, Prey, was a hit—beloved by critics and audiences and the most-streamed movie the week of its release. But it was only available on Hulu, not in movie theaters. The reasons for this were somewhat corporate and technical. “I mean, look, we made it to be a big theatrical experience, and on the downside, it’s not being released that way,” Trachtenberg told Uproxx, “So Hulu hasn’t really had… There hasn’t been a 20th franchise baby that has come out yet. So they’re hoping to really ignite the platform to say, ‘We’re not just putting out the smaller, lower-budget fare. That this is also a place to have giant cinematic experiences.'” Prey deserves a giant cinematic experience, and now it’s finally getting one. On November 5, it’ll be released in theaters as part of a double feature with the new Predator: Badlands. This is a teensy bit of a sneak preview for the new film, which technically comes out on November 7th. Prey stars Amber Midthunder as a young Comanche woman who wants to be a hunter, though she’s trained as a healer—a useful skill when she and her tribe encounter an alien. Empire called it “Effortlessly the best Predator movie since the original,” writing, “Prey proves that, against all expectation, there’s life in the franchise yet, not to mention a thrilling new lead in Amber Midthunder.” Tickets for the Prey/Predator: Badlands double feature are expected to be available here (the site was live earlier but seems to have since been taken down). There’s currently no word on if AMC or other theaters will offer additional screenings. EXCLUSIVE: Unpaid ICE Agents Continue to Arrest Pedophiles, Smugglers, Thieves as Shutdown Drags On

FIRST ON THE DAILY SIGNAL—Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, working without pay due to the government shutdown, arrested pedophiles, human smugglers, and thieves across the country on Tuesday. “During the Democrats’ government shutdown, our ICE law enforcement officers are working without pay to arrest pedophiles, human smugglers, and other violent criminals from our streets,” Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. ICE agents are considered essential workers during the shutdown, so they are required to report for work without receiving paychecks for their service. About 200,000 officers have been working for free during the shutdown, now in its seventh day. They will be paid retroactively after the shutdown ends. “We will not let the government shutdown slow us down from making America safe again,” McLauglin continued. “Our law enforcement officers are working around the clock to arrest and remove heinous criminals from our country.”  These criminals, which DHS describes as the “worst of the worst,” include Jose Estrada-Hidalgo, an illegal alien from Mexico, who was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14 years of age in Tarrant County, Texas. Jose Estrada-Hidalgo Agents also arrested Milton Omar Valdez-Carrasco, another illegal alien from Mexico, who was convicted of criminal sexual contact with a minor in Vineland, New Jersey.   Milton Omar Valdez-Carrasco Silvino Juan Martinez-Montesinos, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, was convicted of sexual conduct in New York. Silvino Juan Martinez-Montesinos Calixto Mendez-Gomez, an illegal alien from Guatemala, was arrested after being convicted of solicitation to commit human smuggling in Maricopa County, Arizona.   Calixto Mendez-Gomez Rafael Puerto-Urbina, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras, was apprehended due to being convicted of felony theft of property $10,000 to 60,000 in Shelby County, Tennessee.   Rafael Puerto-Urbina As the government enters week two of the shutdown, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem urged Americans to thank law enforcement officers for working without pay. “We’re into the second week of the Democrats’ shutdown,” Noem said. “Our brave men and women of law enforcement—with families, bills, and car payments to make—continue to defend our homeland against violent criminals without pay. They are heroes.” We’re into the second week of the Democrats’ Shutdown. Our brave men and women of law enforcement—with families, bills, and car payments to make—continue to defend our homeland against violent criminals without pay. They are heroes. Thank a law enforcement officer today.— Secretary Kristi Noem (@Sec_Noem) October 8, 2025 The post EXCLUSIVE: Unpaid ICE Agents Continue to Arrest Pedophiles, Smugglers, Thieves as Shutdown Drags On appeared first on The Daily Signal.

Anderson Cooper Teams Up with Cory Booker to RIP ICE, 'Deeply Corrupt' Trump

Senator Cory Booker (D-N.J.) continues to get a pass from the leftist media. The man who bragged on NBC in 2019 that his testosterone sometimes makes him want to punch Donald Trump appeared Monday night on Anderson Cooper 360 to call Trump dangerous, reckless, chaotic, cruel and deeply corrupt, with absolutely zero pushback. Cooper brought up the September 30th overnight ICE raid at a Chicago apartment complex, which resulted in the arrests of 37 illegal aliens from several countries. The complex was reportedly targeted because it was frequented by members of the Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua. Two gang members were said to be among those captured along with others with criminal records. Cooper mentioned the 37 illegal aliens earlier in the show. But if you were hearing about this for the first time from Cooper in this interview, all you heard was a crafted Democrat talking point on the horrors of ICE:  COOPER: You showed this video earlier. It was put out by Homeland Security. It's highly produced, very slick. Posted by Secretary Kristi Noem. It shows the huge ICE raid last week on a Chicago apartment building. I mean, it looks like an action film. As you know, families, including children, were forced outside, zip-tied, a Blackhawk helicopter hovering overhead. What do you make of what is happening in Chicago and the way this administration is portraying it? BOOKER: I mean, this should appall all Americans. When you say people were zip-tied, those were American citizens that were zip-tied, American children that were zip-tied. As he's pursuing what he thinks is an action hero movie, what's really happening is people are getting hurt, communities are being torn apart, people are afraid. And he is violating everyday our values, not to mention our public safety and our strength. Donald Trump is reckless, chaotic, cruel, and deeply corrupt. And this is something I'm glad to see most Americans on both sides of the aisle together say that is wrong. "Facts First" CNN did not acknowledge that DHS debunked the zip-tied children claim as an internet hoax. Cooper then encouraged another Booker speech: "Do you think this is an attempt to kind of normalize, you know, federal troops on the ground in major American cities?" Booker then bizarrely went on to compare these ICE raids and arrests to the arrest of radical leftist Angela Davis in 1970 when she was on the FBI's Most Wanted list: "the reality is, as in America, we know, as the great James Baldwin said after the false wrong arrest of Angela Davis, if they come for you in the morning, then they're going to come for me at night. When you take away other people's values anywhere, it's a threat to all of our shared precious values everywhere." Angela Davis was later the vice-presidential nominee in 1980 and 1984 for the Communist Party USA, which wasn't all about our "shared precious values" of freedom. Booker closed by going after Trump, again, "He doesn't respect checks and balances. Donald Trump is dangerous, and we more and more need to realize that."  Well, since Booker declared that sometimes his testosterone makes him want to punch Trump, there have been two assassination attempts on Trump. Now he says we need to realize how dangerous he is, as Cooper sits silently by.  Both Anderson Cooper and Cory Booker were playing on the same Trump-trashing team. This was a despicable display of media bias at its worst.

Masked pro-Hamas agitators turn violent — 4 cops injured, 13 arrested in Boston

Violence broke out in Boston on Tuesday evening when pro-Palestine protesters gathered for a rally on the two-year anniversary of Hamas' October 7 terrorist attack that caused the deaths of more than 1,200 Israelis and sparked the ongoing war.'From my perspective, this is all the same ball of wax: Antifa, free Palestine, trans-tifa. They're all the same effectively, far-left/communist agitators.'Flyers of the protest feature an illustration of people masked in kaffiyehs and a police car on fire."Flood downtown for Palestine," the flyer reads. "Rally and march."John Gately, the host of the "John F Gately Show," captured footage of the downtown protest, which he estimated was attended by roughly 175 people.Gately recorded a video of a group of masked protesters sitting on the ground, trying to conceal their activities. When Gately approached the group, they quickly formed a barrier, holding up kaffiyehs to block his view, and even appeared to move a police barrier. One protester claimed they were providing first aid to one of their comrades who needed to "rest."Gately told Blaze News that when the march arrived at Boston's Downtown Crossing, "things got ugly" as protesters blocked emergency vehicles."There was a kerfuffle. There was a report of pepper spray; I didn't see that," Gately said. "It was a fight in the middle of Tremont Street."RELATED: Two years after October 7: God hasn't been silentContent warning: language — (@) He described seeing protesters pushing and shoving before police swarmed in to arrest 13 individuals, eight men and five women. Four officers sustained injuries, all of which were non-life-threatening but included broken bones.RELATED: Hamas agrees to Trump Gaza deal, plans to release all Israeli hostagesContent warning: language — (@) Tensions in the community were already high before Tuesday's demonstration, Gately stated. He explained that a visiting professor from Harvard Law School fired off a pellet rifle near a Brookline synagogue last week on the eve of Yom Kippur. The professor allegedly told law enforcement he was "hunting rats." "From my perspective, this is all the same ball of wax: Antifa, free Palestine, trans-tifa. They're all the same effectively, far-left/communist agitators," Gately told Blaze News. "It's all the same oppressor versus oppressed dialectic.""I think that effectively, the far-left promotes violence," Gately added. In a statement provided to Blaze News, Mayor Michelle Wu (D) said, "We are extremely grateful for the work of the Boston Police in keeping the city safe and in supporting the right to peacefully protest. Boston will not tolerate violence, and we categorically condemn those who came into our community to attack our police officers. The individuals who engaged in these attacks must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."Blaze News contacted Gov. Maura Healey's office for comment. Comey pleads not guilty

Former FBI Director James Comey pled not guilty at his arraignment on Wednesday. He faces federal charges from the Department of Justice for obstructing a congressional proceeding and making false statements. The charges are related to his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on 30, 2020, where he addressed the FBI's role in the Russia collusion investigation related to the 2016 election.'No one is above the law.'Comey was indicted on September 25 of this year. The indictment alleges that Comey lied about his role in authorizing FBI contacts to serve as anonymous media sources during the investigation and that he deliberately withheld information about the investigation from the Judiciary Committee. The case is scheduled to go to trial in January. "No one is above the law. Today’s indictment reflects this Department of Justice’s commitment to holding those who abuse positions of power accountable for misleading the American people. We will follow the facts in this case," Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote on X following the announcement of Comey's indictment.RELATED: 'Ultimate hypocrisy': Murkowski, now whining about Comey indictment, sang a different tune when Dems went after Trump Photo by Mark Reinstein/Corbis via Getty ImagesComey has denied the accusations and said that he looks forward to a trial. His legal team also claimed the indictment amounts to vindictive persecution and that they plan to request a dismissal, according to the AP.President Donald Trump has repeatedly referred to Comey as a "dirty cop" as well as a "slimeball."Like Blaze News?
