Is The Almost Constant Seismic Activity Along The West Coast Building Up To A Major Catastrophic Event?

This month, seismic activity along the west coast has been making headlines almost every single day.  Could it be possible that all of this seismic activity is leading up to some sort of a really big event?  It should be obvious to everyone that the clock is ticking.  I have been sounding the alarm about the potential for apocalyptic seismic events along the west coast for a long time, and now it feels like we are building up to some sort of a crescendo.  Unfortunately, most of the people living right along the west coast are still convinced that everything is going to be just fine. On Thursday, a “major earthquake” suddenly struck an area approximately 180 miles from the Oregon coast… A major earthquake has struck off the coast of Oregon, sending shockwaves felt in multiple cities along the US West Coast with more quakes expected to follow. The magnitude 6.0 earthquake erupted in the Pacific Ocean, approximately 180 miles from the coastline, at 10.25pm ET Thursday night. This earthquake was so powerful that it was felt as far away as Portland, and it was followed by magnitude 3.1 quake. But what is really alarming the experts is the fact that these quakes “took place along the Juan de Fuca Plate”… This latest quakes took place along the Juan de Fuca Plate, which drives the Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ) – a nearly 700-mile-long fault line off the West Coast of North America. Scientists have long warned that the zone is overdue for a catastrophic event, with many nicknaming it the ‘Sleeping Giant.’ Simulations have shown the fault is capable of a magnitude 9.0 earthquake that would impact most of the Pacific Northwest, including major cities such as Seattle and Portland. I have written countless articles about the Cascadia Subduction Zone. The next time it produces a megathrust earthquake, there might not be any warning at all. And when that happens, a “100-foot-tall mega tsunami” could suddenly come slamming into coastal towns and cities… If an earthquake between 8.0 and 9.0 in magnitude struck today, scientists have estimated that the shockwave could produce a 100-foot-tall mega tsunami which wipes out most of the nearby coastline. A 2022 emergency report from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) estimated that there would be over 100,000 people injured and over 618,000 buildings damaged or destroyed during the next major CSZ earthquake. Scientists assure us that this is going to happen someday. It is just a matter of time. The day before the magnitude 6.0 earthquake off the coast of Oregon, a swarm of at least 40 earthquakes began in Southern California.  The following comes from a Daily Mail article entitled “Dozens of earthquakes shake California where the earth is tearing apart”… At least 40 earthquakes have shaken Southern California since Wednesday morning, with the largest reaching a magnitude of 4.4. The US Geological Survey recorded the first quake near Holtville at 1:40am PT on Wednesday, with the most recent detected on Thursday morning. Hundreds of California residents have issued reports of shaking to the USGS, and shockwaves were also recorded in Arizona and Mexico. The city of Holtville is about 130 miles from San Diego, and it sits in an area known as the Salton Trough. Geologists tell us that the Salton Trough is a place where the crust of our planet is literally “slowly pulling apart”… Geologists describe the Salton Trough as a young, actively stretching rift valley, meaning the Earth’s crust in the region is slowly pulling apart. This process occurs because the Pacific Plate is sliding northwestward relative to the North American Plate along the San Andreas system, while simultaneously, the crust in the Salton Trough is being stretched and thinned. As the land pulls apart, it fractures along numerous faults, including the Imperial Fault and smaller subsidiary faults, producing frequent earthquakes of varying magnitudes. We have all seen movies about what is going to happen to Southern California someday. Sadly, “someday” may arrive a lot sooner than most people think. The day before the earthquake swarm started in Holtville, a magnitude 4.4 earthquake hit Mendocino County in Northern California… A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck eastern Mendocino County on Tuesday afternoon, shaking a rural area southeast of Willits, according to the United States Geological Survey. The quake occurred at 1:10 p.m. local time and was centered roughly 6 miles east-southeast of Willits, the agency said. It struck at a depth of just under 5 miles, a level that can produce noticeable shaking near the surface. Could it be possible that the Mendocino Triple Junction is waking up? The Mendocino Triple Junction is considered to be one of the most dangerous seismic zones along the entire California coastline… Off the coast of Humboldt County lies the Mendocino Triple Junction, where three of Earth’s major tectonic plates come together. South of this point, the Pacific plate moves northwest alongside the North American plate, forming the San Andreas fault. North of the junction, the Gorda (or Juan de Fuca) plate pushes northeast and slides beneath the North American plate, sinking into the Earth’s mantle in a process known as subduction. Our scientists have always known that the Mendocino Triple Junction is a major threat. But now they have discovered that there are “five moving pieces rather than just three major plates”… The updated model shows that the region contains five moving pieces rather than just three major plates. Two of these pieces are completely hidden below the surface. At the southern end of the Cascadia subduction zone, the researchers found that a section of the North American plate has broken off and is being pulled downward along with the Gorda plate as it sinks beneath North America. South of the triple junction, the Pacific plate is dragging a mass of rock known as the Pioneer fragment beneath the North American plate as it moves north. The fault separating the Pioneer fragment from the North American plate lies nearly flat and cannot be seen from the surface. The entire west coast of the United States sits directly along the Pacific Ring of Fire, and the past 12 months have been a time when the Pacific Ring of Fire has been shaking like crazy. Of course the entire southern coast of Alaska also sits directly along the Pacific Ring of Fire, and it was just hit by a magnitude 5.9 earthquake. And last month a magnitude 7.0 earthquake rocked the state… A 7.0 magnitude earthquake has rocked Alaska on Saturday, Dec. 6, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The earthquake occurred at 11:41 a.m. local time in northeast of Yakutat, Alaska, the USGS said. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Yakutat had a total population of about 657 in 2020 and 332 housing units in 2023. Yakutat is over 300 miles from Anchorage, where the earthquake was also felt, the USGS’s interactive map shows. Alaska gets pummeled by significant earthquakes so frequently that most of them don’t even make the news anymore. But they should. I think that seismic activity along the Pacific Ring of Fire is going to be a major theme in 2026. Unfortunately, most people that live in the most dangerous areas will not take the threat seriously until it is too late. ***Please consider becoming a paid subscriber to Michael’s Substack newsletter.  Michael’s work reaches people in more than 100 different countries every single week, and it is the faithful support of the paid subscribers that makes this possible.*** Michael’s new book entitled “10 Prophetic Events That Are Coming Next” is available in paperback and for the Kindle on Amazon.com, and you can subscribe to his Substack newsletter at michaeltsnyder.substack.com. As Western Media Whitewashes Deadly Riots In Iran, NGOs Push Regime Change Propaganda

by Matt Agorist, The Free Thought Project: As deadly riots burn Iranian cities, Western media ignores the shocking wave of violence, turning instead to US government-funded NGOs for data. The one-sided portrayal has helped push Trump to the brink of authorizing renewed US attacks. (The GrayZone) Western media has ignored a growing trove of video evidence […]

5 Fascinating Maps That Show Our Evolving Understanding of the World

Cartography, the science and practice of drawing maps, both reflects and shapes our perception of the world. Over the millennia, many maps have been produced, ranging from basic sketches to detailed manifestations of both science and art. The evolution of the maps we use reflects the evolution of our understanding of our world. Here are five fascinating maps that captured our view of the world at a certain point in time, which also shaped history.   1. Ptolemy’s Geographia (Ptolemy’s World Map) Ptolemy’s World Map, Byzantine Greek, c. 1300. Source: Vatican Library   Not to be confused with Ptolemy I, Alexander the Great’s successor and founder of Egypt’s Ptolemaic dynasty, Claudius Ptolemy was an ancient mathematician, astronomer, and geographer. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, under the rule of the Romans, Ptolemy is believed to have been ethnically Greek or a Hellenized Egyptian. He used both Greek and Babylonian knowledge in his work, which was extensively used or commented upon in Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages.   Ptolemy’s world map is a title given to any map based on Ptolemy’s description of the known world of the Greco-Romans in the 2nd century CE in his Geographia. Thus, there are many maps in a variety of styles, but they are all based on Ptolemy’s atlas, originally based on an atlas created by Marinus of Tyre, his geographical dictionary, and his treatise on cartography.   Ptolemy’s World Map from Leinhart Holle’s 1482 Edition by Nicolaus Germanus, 1482. Source: British Library   The map depicts three continents: Europe, Asia, and Africa, then known as Libya. For its time, Ptolemy’s world map was greatly detailed and surprisingly accurate. Such was its value that the Roman Empire presumably used it to support its imperial expansion. The Romans traded throughout the Indian Ocean and even reached China.   2. Mapamundi de los Cresques (The Catalan Atlas) Catalan Atlas by Unknown (Abraham Cresques and Jehuda Cresques), c. 1375. Source: Instituto Geográfico Nacional, Spain   Created almost at the end of the European Middle Ages in 1375, the Catalan Atlas is often considered the most important map of the medieval period. Much like other major cartographic works, the Catalan Atlas was the immediate product of its context. The atlas was created on the island of Majorca, which had a long history of seafaring and trade. Thus, there was a keen interest in perfecting the cartographic craft to aid commerce and navigation. The Majorcan cartographic school was a successful endeavor that rivaled its contemporary counterpart, the Italian cartographic school.   The Catalan Atlas depicts the known world with great detail and incredible artistry. It begins with Catalan texts and illustrations on cosmography, astronomy, and astrology, plus information on the tides and sailing. The rest of the document is the actual map. It depicts Europe, the Far East, North and West Africa, and Jerusalem and its surroundings. The map is both an innovative piece and is conscious of past cartographic traditions and discoveries.   A fragment of the Catalan Atlas featuring Mansa Musa, 1375. Source: Bibliothèque Nationale de France   The map includes a particular reference to the legendary ruler of the Mali Empire, Mansa Musa, in the western part of Africa, right at the bottom of the map. He is depicted crowned, sitting on his throne while holding a golden nugget in one hand and a scepter in the other. Mansa Musa is famous for his incredible riches and is believed to be the richest man in history.   3. The Waldsemüller Map (Waldsemüller’s Universalis Cosmographia) Universalis Cosmographia by Martin Waldseemüller, 1507. Source: Library of Congress   Martin Waldsemüller’s Universalis cosmographia is one of the maps that changed our perspective of the world. Often just called Waldsemüller’s map, Universalis cosmographia is a testament to major changes in understanding the world during the Age of Exploration. Based on the explorations and accounts of Florentine merchant Amerigo Vespucci, the map includes a raw depiction of the Americas and, for the first time, gives the land the name “America.”   Waldsemüller’s map is a mappa mundi that follows the traditions of preceding cartography but adds key new elements that make it a worthy standalone piece. Waldsemüller named the New World in honor of Vespucci, believing him to be the first to define said land as a new, previously unknown continent. However, Vespucci never truly expressed that what he had explored was part of a truly distinct continent. Instead, Christopher Columbus was believed to be the true discoverer, yet he also never thought he had reached a new continent.   Amerigo Vespucci finding the Southern Cross, c. 1600. Source: Wikimedia Commons   Waldsemüller later corrected himself and, on a new version of his map, gave the new continent the title of Terra Incognita. He also recognized Columbus as responsible for the discovery, not Vespucci. Still, Vespucci’s legacy as the bearer of the New World’s name was greater than Columbus’. Replication of the map boosted familiarity with the new name, which aligned well with existing terms (Asia, Europa, Africa), and meant that the name was adopted.   4. The First Atlas (Ortelius’ Theatrum Orbis Terrarum) Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, by Abraham Ortelius, 1570. Source: Biblioteca Nacional de España   Although maybe not as famous as some of the other maps on this list, Abraham Ortelius’ Theatrum Orbis Terrarum is considered the first modern atlas. The atlas was first published in 1570, but Ortelius would make changes to it throughout his life, up until his death in 1598. Growing into more than 31 editions in seven languages and more than one hundred maps, Ortelius’ atlas was highly consequential. Decades after Ortelius’ death, Dutch cartographer Willem Blaeu continued Ortelius’ work and created his own atlas. This would reach a final version under the name of Atlas Maior, possibly the largest and most expensive book published in the 17th century.   Both Ortelius’ Atlas and the Atlas Maior are considered masterpieces of Dutch cartography. The Theatrum Orbis Terrarum consisted of a series of uniform map sheets and a supporting text bound, forming a proper book. By the last edition edited by Ortelius himself, the atlas had detailed maps of their known world, including most of Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, the Middle East, Russia, China, Southeast Asia, the Americas, and Europe. The atlas was very quickly a successful endeavor, becoming a popular item among the wealthy elites of the time.   Detail of sea monsters on the Theatrum Orbis Terrarium, by Abraham Ortelius, 1570. Source: Library of Congress   In addition to being considered the first true modern atlas, the Theatrum Orbis Terrarum is also considered the official beginning of the Dutch Golden Age of Cartography, a period of great cartographic production and innovation. The first atlas, the use of triangulation, and the first atlas of nautical charts were all examples of successful innovation during the Dutch Golden Age. Many famous cartographers, such as Ortelius, Gerardus Mercator, and Johannes Janssonius, enjoyed success during this period.   5. The Mercator Projection (Mercator’s 1569 World Map) Nova et Aucta Orbis Terrae Descrirptio ad Usum Navigantium Emendate Accommodata, by Gerardus Mercator, 1569. Source: Wikimedia Commons   Perhaps the most recognizable map in this list, Gerardus Mercator’s 1569 World Map, set in motion one of the most consequential cartographic traditions in history: the Mercator Projection. Much has been said about this map, but little is known about its creator and its first incarnation. For starters, the Mercator projection isn’t a map per se but rather a projection.   Instead of just being a standalone map, a projection is a cartographic element that precedes any two-dimensional map. Given that the world is spherical, the translation from a three-dimensional representation into a two-dimensional one requires certain transformations. These transformations are nothing more than decisions taken to portray the world in a particular manner. Mercator’s 1569 World Map, with its incredibly long complete title, “New and more complete representation of the terrestrial globe properly adapted for use in navigation,” is the first map created from this type of projection. The projection is known for inflating the size of objects away from the equator, making certain landmasses like Greenland appear much larger than they truly are.   Modern map showing the true relative size of different continents. Source: Wikimedia Commons   The Mercator projection is somewhat infamous for its arguably exaggerated distortion. All three-dimensional objects will have some sort of distortion when represented on a plane. Yet the Mercator projection has been accused of being unsuitable for general world maps, biased towards the northern hemisphere, and responsible for influencing people’s worldviews. Mercator originally devised the projection to provide a uniquely favorable perspective for navigation, which it did successfully. Still, the criticisms towards the projection remain valid; its overall dominance in the 19th and 20th centuries made it difficult to escape the particular perspective provided by the projection.

COMEDY GOLD: President Trump Tells Hilarious Story About His Fat Friend Who Is Now “Fatter Than Ever”

If he wanted to, President Trump really could have an amazing career as a standup comedian. Check out this hilarious story he tells about his fat friend who is now “fatter than ever” because Ozempic did not work for him. Absolute comedy gold! Watch here: BREAKING: President Trump tells friend Ozempic does not work on him after he gained weight. pic.twitter.com/yBVYzimQdC — Leading Report (@LeadingReport) January 16, 2026 Backup here if needed: Honestly one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a really long time. I think I laughed at that short story more than most actual standup comedians doing their routines! We also got this moment yesterday which is also great — what a perfect one-liner and incredible timing: Where? Trump is the Goat pic.twitter.com/kMOEK2iQBo — G-PA (@IndianaGPA) January 15, 2026 Or how about Trump if he were doing Seinfeld? It’s so good! Trump Does A Seinfeld – Toilets and Showers These continue to crack me up! It's pure perfection.... You add the Seinfeld music, a few cut scenes to a standup crowd, and it's wild! It's not just funny, it's almost perfectly Jerry's comedic timing. Cracks me up every time, and this is one someone actually special requested. In the last video, one of the comments said "You have to do the toilets and showers bit next" and apparently their wish was granted. Enjoy: Backup here: https://rumble.com/v3qsnoa--trumpfeld-trump-does-a-seinfeld-toilets-and-showers.html And if you missed some of the old ones, I have them for you below.... Trump Does A Seinfeld -- Part 3 There is so much creativity out there in MAGA world... I supposed I should say I'm not sure if these are made in loving admiration or more mean-spirited, but I think they're hilarious and also kind of uncanny. It's amazing how you just slap some Seinfeld music over the top of some of the hilarious things Trump says and it feels literally like a Seinfeld routine. Not just a "comedy routine" but specifically Seinfeld. So I take them in the sense that imitation is the highest form of flattery and I think they're hilarious. I'll post the prior ones down below, but first enjoy this: People are loving it: If you loved that, here is the original... Trump Does A Seinfeld! Every so often, I find something that REALLY makes me laugh. There are a lot of things that I just kind of chuckle at... Things that are amusing... But then every so often you find something that literally makes you laugh out loud. It's only 43 seconds but I found it today. Somebody took President Trump's riff on paper straws from 2 years ago and put some Seinfeld music behind it and the result is pure perfection! His timing is perfect and the material is classic Jerry Seinfeld observational humor. Enjoy this one: Backup here: Trump does a Seinfeld routine! I'm dying! ??? pic.twitter.com/iQJOm8eN2B — Noah Christopher (@DailyNoahNews) June 27, 2023 Here are my top three favorite comments in response... First: Genius editing! If you can edit like this, contact me and I want to hire you! Then I gotta say I agree with this next one: Jerry is good, but he's not topping this delivery! And of course we have to end with my favorite: Jerk Store! I shoulda said Jerk Store! Meanwhile, on a more serious note, what do REAL comedians think of Trump jokes? Two of the best out there on my list are the aforementioned Jerry Seinfeld and then in the George Washington slot on Mt. Rushmore it would be Norm Macdonald. The best of the best. What do these guys think about comedians attacking Trump with "jokes"? They don't like it. They don't find it funny. They think it's lazy. And they're right. The late night TV hosts attacking Trump night after night often times don't even have a punchline, it's just hatred of Donald Trump. That's comedy now? Maybe we should listen to two of the best to ever do it. Here's Jerry Seinfeld's take: And here's Norm, on all things Trump. You gotta love Norm's story about asking Trump for a picture on Jimmy Fallon, it's hilarious. But then Norm gets serious and as he so often does, Norm can changes gears from going 100 miles per hour on something outrageously wild and inappropriate and hilarious to being deeply introspective and insightful. And that's what he does here. Norm was asked about Alec Baldwin's impersonation of Trump and Norm had a brilliant take. Norm said if you're impersonating someone, you have to actually like that person...because they instinctively like themselves. So any impersonation that starts off with hatred for the person is doomed to fail. Brilliant insight. Watch here: Now back to my prior point... I'm curious how this will end up in the Comments below, but I want your take on TOP TEN best comedians. And set aside if they became Far-Left later in life. I'm talking about in their prime, who was the funniest? In no particular order except for Norm at #1, here's a first draft of my list: 1 - Norm Macdonald 2 - Dave Chappelle 3 - Jim Gaffigan 4 - Sebastian Maniscalco (I don't consider Sebastian a physical comedian, although most do) 5 - Mitch Hedburg 6 - Chris Rock 7 - Steve Martin (one of the rare physical comedians I like) 8 - George Carlin 9 - ??? 10 - ??? Help me out, who gets 9 and 10? Eddie? Robin? Pryor? Patrice? Rickles? Not making even my Top 20 are: Louis CK - sorry I just don't find him funny Amy Schumer - need I say more? John Mulaney Hey, on a different topic, can I get your vote on this please? We're trying to make this a landslide and I need your help: NATIONAL POLL: Who Should Go To GITMO, Trump or Biden? They've even got Matt Gaetz doing one and it's also pretty good! Matt Gaetz Does A Seinfeld What's the dealllll with Kevin McCarthy? Ok, that's not the setup to an actual joke, but if it was Jerry Seinfeld could do it! But what I really want to show you is this hilarious clip from Matt Gaetz. I can't tell if they used a little AI to give his voice that classic "Seinfeld" tone the way he finishes each sentence with a slightly upturned humorous tone? Or if simply slapping the Seinfeld music under the track was enough, but this is hilarious. Every once in a while you have to just stop and laugh and this is one of those times. So enjoy this, here is Matt Gaetz doing a Seinfeld routine: Matt Gaetz doing his best Jerry Seinfeld impression when talking about our money being devalued. pic.twitter.com/xPtq7itvi0 — illuminatibot (@iluminatibot) September 28, 2023 Backup here: https://rumble.com/v3lnf2o--matt-gaetz-does-a-seinfeld....html My only complaint is it isn't longer!
