Charlie Kirk Was Role Model for What It Means to Be a Man

Popular culture has two competing narratives about manhood. Charlie Kirk rejected both of them—and set an example that young men should follow. The dominant view is that masculinity is toxic. In 2018, the American Psychological Association issued guidelines declaring that “traditional masculinity ideology” limits “males’ psychological development.” It also has negative influences on mental and physical health, APA claimed. Masculinity ideology includes “anti-femininity, achievement, eschewal of the appearance of weakness, and adventure, risk, and violence,” according to the guidelines. The first APA guideline states, “Psychologists strive to recognize that masculinities are constructed based on social, cultural, and contextual norms.” The not-so-subtle implication is that men should act like women. The opposing view is personified by Andrew Tate, who has a massive online following among young men. He takes masculine qualities—like aggression and competitiveness—to the extreme. He’s physically strong. He’s brash. He flaunts his wealth and surrounds himself with beautiful women. Tate also wants men to dominate women. He deems women and treats them like objects to use and discard. British prosecutors have accused him of rape and human trafficking. He’s also faced similar legal problems in Romania. What feminists miss is that men have unique strengths. What Tate misses is that those strengths need to be directed to a noble purpose, or they do become toxic. What a tragedy if a young man follows either path. Kirk didn’t. He exemplified biblical manhood and set an example for men to follow. In his book “Raising a Modern-Day Knight,” Robert Lewis lays out four characteristics of a godly man. You can clearly see them in Kirk’s life. First, a man should reject passivity. Adam stood by as Eve took the forbidden fruit. He should have protected his bride; instead, he let her go first. Too many young men sit idle while video games and pornography sap their God-given potential. There are so many examples of Kirk rejecting passivity, but consider this one: Culture and the education establishment push students toward the Left. Kirk didn’t float along with what was popular. He thought critically about issues and rejected the dominant cultural narratives. Second, a man should accept responsibility. For decades, conservatives have simply assumed that young adults will start liberal before real life moves them right. Kirk—at 18—decided to change that, equipped with only his vision, energy, and willingness to work tirelessly. The organization he built, Turning Point USA, moved young people to the right and helped elect President Donald Trump in 2024. Third, a man should lead courageously. Kirk put his moral courage on display in every college visit. But it wasn’t just professionally. Erika Kirk, his widow, raved about how he led their family spiritually. Kirk wanted men to lead by creating families. “Get married. Have children. Build a legacy,” he wrote on the social media platform X last year. Fourth, a man lives for a greater reward. This is why Kirk’s legacy will endure. In his professional and personal life, he worked to build something greater than himself. Even as his fame, power, and wealth grew, he kept pointing to the Savior. “It’s all about Jesus,” he wrote on X in August. Just days before his death, he wrote, “Jesus defeated death so you can live.” No man is going to replace Charlie Kirk. But every young man would become a better man by following his example. The Reason Every US General Will Meet in Quantico

The meeting of every US General in the Marine Corps Base at Quantico does not seem to be tied to any war declaration or crisis. Numerous sources say it’s to provide direction on the realignment of the military, going over the rules, bringing the military back to a “war ethos.” The speech by the Secretary […] The post The Reason Every US General Will Meet in Quantico appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Denmark Bans Drone Flights After Fresh Sightings At Military Bases

Denmark ordered a ban on Sunday on civil drone flights, after drones were observed at several military facilities overnight, following a week in which drone sorties caused the temporary closures of several Danish airports. The Danish military said in a statement it had deployed “several capacities” in response to the overnight sightings at bases, declining further comment on the nature of its response. Drone sorties earlier this week forced Denmark to shut airports, including a nearly four-hour closure of Copenhagen Airport on Monday. Denmark has called the drones part of a “hybrid attack.” It has stopped short of saying definitively who it believes is responsible, but Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has suggested it could be Moscow, calling Russia the primary “country that poses a threat to European security.” The Kremlin denies blame. Denmark will host EU leaders on Wednesday, followed by a summit on Thursday of the wider, 47-member European Political Community, set up to unite the EU with other friendly European countries after Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Russia Slams Ukraine With Nearly 600 Drones And 50 Missiles

Russia Slams Ukraine With Nearly 600 Drones And 50 Missiles

Russia launched hundreds of drones and missiles at Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine early on Sunday, killing at least four people and injuring dozens, in one of the most sustained attacks on the capital since the full-scale war began. Neighbouring Poland closed its airspace near two southeastern cities and its air force scrambled jets in response until the danger had passed. Ukraine’s military said that Russia launched 595 drones and 48 missiles overnight and its air defences shot down 568 drones and 43 missiles. It noted that the main target of the strike was the capital Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelensky said the attack, which lasted more than 12 hours, damaged a cardiology clinic, factories and residential buildings. Russia’s defense ministry said on Sunday it had carried out a “massive” attack on Ukraine using long-range air and sea-based weapons and drones to target military infrastructure, including airfields. Moscow has denied targeting civilians in its war against Ukraine, although thousands have been killed and residential areas extensively damaged by its attacks. Zelensky again urged the international community to act decisively to cut off Russia’s energy revenues that fund its invasion. Ukraine has so far failed to convince U.S. President Donald Trump to impose punitive sanctions on Moscow. Get 40% off new DailyWire+ annual memberships with code FALL40 at checkout “The time for decisive action is long overdue, and we count on a strong response from the United States, Europe, the G7, and the G20,” he said on the Telegram messaging app. Kyiv awoke to loud explosions, drones flying overhead and air defences booming. Smoke from one of the strike sites drifted across the morning sky as the air raid alert ended at 09:13 a.m. (0613 GMT), nearly seven hours after it began. Reuters journalists visited an area in the suburbs of Kyiv, where rows of newly built homes were almost totally destroyed, and parked cars flattened by falling debris. Residents sifted through the wreckage of an apartment block after their windows were blown in by the force of a blast. Some people hurried to metro stations underground, from where they followed events on their mobile phones. Attacks on such a scale have stretched Ukraine’s limited air defences throughout 2025. Zelensky said on Saturday an additional Patriot missile system from Israel had been deployed and he expected two more to arrive this autumn. He and other officials have asked international partners for more to protect Ukraine’s skies, but air defense systems are limited in availability and other nations are keen to bolster their defenses amid perceived threats from Russia. Zelensky said Sunday’s attack targeted several regions, including the southern city of Zaporizhzhia, where authorities said at least 16 people were injured. Emergency services said at least four people were killed, while 67 people were reported wounded across the country by local authorities. Among the fatalities was a 12-year-old girl, although that has not been officially confirmed, Tymur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv’s military administration, said on Telegram. The TRUTH about spiritual warfare and the battle for America's soul

The world is engaged in a spiritual battle, which Blaze Media co-founder Glenn Beck and Catholic YouTuber Taylor Marshall believe requires immediate action — and not through a political avenue.“The biggest failure of our time is that Christianity has become more political or more social. And it’s not an interior renewal. It’s not an encounter with Jesus Christ risen from the dead. And ‘How do I live for you daily?’” Marshall tells Glenn.“It’s too casual,” Glenn agrees, noting that many people are held in high esteem within the church despite their clearly incompatible views.“In my church, there was Harry Reid. He was for abortion. How the hell does that work?” he asks.“Part of the problem is, because of original sin and our concupiscence in our flesh, we’re all in a battle ourselves, right? We’re all tempted towards evil, selfishness, power grabs, control. Natural man is an enemy of God,” Marshall says.“That’s one of the things we’ve lost in Christianity is the concept of war, battle, spiritual struggle ... we need to get back to this understanding that we are in a spiritual battle and our enemies are not principally other people,” he continues.“Our enemies are the dark evil principalities. The demons, the diabolical. That is ultimately what we are fighting against,” he adds. And with this understanding, Marshall believes it’s time to really “unite.”“Not just in a generic way, ‘unite,’ but we need to unite structurally,” he says.“I mean, think of like, the Republican Party. We’re 45,000 different groups. Nothing, I mean, nothing gets done anyway, but nothing would for sure get done. There needs to be a unity. There needs to be a Christendom,” he explains.“And as a Catholic, I think this is the way forward,” he adds.Want more from Glenn Beck?To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling, thought-provoking analysis, and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.
