Under cover of darkness in the north Italian city of Brescia, a masked man has become famous for performing “acts of urban love.” Armed with a paint roller and the moniker “Ghost Painter,” this unknown citizen stalks the city streets, painting over graffiti left by vandals. Like all Italian cities, going back to the days […] The post Masked Hero Goes Viral for Painting Over Graffiti on Buildings in Northern Italy – WATCH appeared first on Good News Network.

Five Stories Featuring Dragons Great and Small

Books reading recommendations Five Stories Featuring Dragons Great and Small In which dragons are stolen, hunted, adopted, and even 3D-printed. By Ratika Deshpande | Published on August 21, 2025 Credit: Ville Miettinen (CC BY 2.0) Comment 0 Share New Share Credit: Ville Miettinen (CC BY 2.0) “We men dream dreams, we work magic, we do good, we do evil. The dragons do not dream. They are dreams. They do not work magic: it is their substance, their being. They do not do; they are.”—Ursula K. Le Guin, The Farthest Shore Who among us isn’t fascinated by dragons, drawn by their majesty? In the realms of fantasy, some might desire to be like them. Some desire to own them, to have power over the might creatures. And some desire to take some of their power for themselves, doing whatever it takes to obtain it. Consider the following stories: “Blackwood Dragon Blues” by Michael Haynes Rich people have a thing for “exotic” animals. And they’re definitely interested in paying good money if said animal is a dragon—in this case, a Blackwood dragon. These creatures are born small and take decades to become fully grown.  One family, however, that cares more about money than dragons is going to put a Blackwood up for auction. There’s a customer who really wants to buy it, but they only have enough money to afford a safecracker like our narrator and a dragon trainer like Martha. Our narrator could do with some cash, but it’s no easy job when the object of your theft is a beast that can breathe fire and, having been cooped up in captivity, will definitely not be in a pleasant mood. “The Dragon Project” by Naomi Kritzer Vivian is a bioengineer who makes living creatures through 3D printing. She and her business partner Jed have a new customer who wants them to make him a dragon. Vivian creates a small and accurate one, but the client isn’t pleased. He wants something bigger—something with wings and scales that’ll breathe fire, insurance terms be damned. When the next attempt doesn’t please him and they decide to drop the client, he resolves to get his dragon made elsewhere. But the terms, the client is going to find out, exist for a reason. How will he get out of this mess? And might it be to Vivian and Jed’s benefit? A fun story with a happy ending. “Dragon’s Choice” by Deborah Drake Dragons as pets is not a new idea. But what if the dragons were actually small and delicate rather than giant and fierce? And what if those dragons had their own ideas about domestication? A short and sweet flash story. “Earth Dragon, Turning” by Anya Ow Yue Ling goes around selling medical bak chang. General Xie crosses paths with Yue Ling, who asks Xie if she is going to “appease” the earth dragon, who recently caused deadly earthquakes in the region. The General has brought bombs to deal with the beast, an idea that appalls Yue Ling. Through braided flashbacks, we learn why such an approach shocks her, and Yue Ling’s own reasons for dealing with the earth dragon differently. A gentle story about belief and loss. “Dragon Soap” by M.K. Hutchins Maisy hunts small dragons, who have been damaging the radishes and taking away chickens, selling them to Beth, the apothecary, so she can put food on the table and buy Gran’s tonic—although Gran mustn’t find out how Maisy manages to do so. Unfortunately, her little brother follows her into the swamp and ends up getting the mange, so Maisy has to swallow her hatred for the apothecary and go ask for anti-mange soap on credit. The thing is, Gran and Maisy are pretty sure Beth is scamming everyone with her remedies, but they’re too busy trying to survive to find another way—until Maisy makes a discovery that might save them all.  [end-mark] The post Five Stories Featuring Dragons Great and Small appeared first on Reactor.

‘ODNI 2.0’: Gabbard Announces Plan to Reduce Her Office by Over 40%

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is reducing her office by over 40% before the end of fiscal year 2025 on Sept. 30. The move, according to Gabbard’s office, will “save taxpayers over $700 million per year.”   The downsizing comes as the Trump administration continues its aim to reduce waste in the federal government.   “ODNI and the [Intelligence Community] must make serious changes to fulfill its responsibility to the American people and the U.S. Constitution by focusing on our core mission: find the truth and provide objective, unbiased, timely intelligence to the president and policymakers,” Gabbard said in a statement Wednesday.   Gabbard is calling the downsized and refocused office “ODNI 2.0.”   The Office of the Director of National Intelligence was created after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the U.S. to bring needed changes to the Intelligence Community. But according to Gabbard, the office has strayed from its founding intent.   “Over the last 20 years, ODNI has become bloated and inefficient, and the intelligence community is rife with abuse of power, unauthorized leaks of classified intelligence, and politicized weaponization of intelligence,” the director said.   The announcement to downsize ODNI came just one day after Gabbard said she is stripping the security clearance of 37 former or current intelligence professionals. Gabbard claims the intelligence professionals are losing clearance because they “have abused the public trust by politicizing and manipulating intelligence, leaking classified intelligence without authorization, and/or committing intentional egregious violations of tradecraft standards.”  Throughout the summer, Gabbard has also released multiple documents related to the “Russiagate” scandal, some of which indicate the intelligence community had a direct hand in furthering a now debunked claim that Russian authorities conspired with then-candidate Donald Trump to help secure the president’s victory in the 2026 election.   The release of the “Russiagate” documents, the revoking of security clearances, and now the downsizing of ODNI all point to Gabbard’s intent to reform the office and, in her words, begin “the start of a new era focused on serving our country, fulfilling our core national security mission with excellence, always grounded in the U.S. Constitution, and ensuring the safety, security, and freedom of the American people.”   The post ‘ODNI 2.0’: Gabbard Announces Plan to Reduce Her Office by Over 40% appeared first on The Daily Signal.

Fox Covers Illegal Alien Who Killed Three After California Gave Him Drivers License

Since Monday morning, Fox & Friends has been keeping viewers updated on a tragic story which illustrates that sanctuary states are a danger not just to their own residents but to the entire country. The show covered an illegal alien who killed three with his tractor trailer in Florida after receiving a commercial drivers license from both California and Washington state. Fox hosts not only informed viewers that Governor Gavin Newsom's attempt to blame President Donald Trump backfired, but also that the Transportation Department found in its investigation that the driver, Harjinder Singh, was unable to pass a driving test in spite of having a license from two states. On Wednesday morning, the show related: AINSLEY EARHARDT: The Trump administration now investigating a deadly Florida crash allegedly caused by an illegal migrant truck driver. BRIAN KILMEADE: And officials say the suspect couldn't read English or understand road signs despite getting a commercial driver's license from two sanctuary states. Reporter Lucas Tomlinson read from Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy's preliminary findings: "Washington state improperly issued the driver a full-term commercial drivers license. Asylum seekers or illegal aliens are not allowed to receive this. New Mexico failed to conduct an English language proficiency test when they pulled the driver over for speeding. Had they done this, the driver would not have been on the road." Tomlinson recalled that Singh had made an illegal U-turn in the middle of a Florida highway, leading to a minivan crashing into the truck, leaving the three occupants dead. On Tuesday morning, Fox hosts informed viewers that Governor Newsom had the audacity to blame President Trump for the accident even though it was the Joe Biden administration that granted Singh a work permit after the Trump administration rejected his application. Fill-in co-host Charles Hurt read from Governor Newsom's statement trolling the President: But, of course, that didn't stop Governor Gavin Newsom from deciding to continue his trying to cosplay as Donald Trump by getting on Twitter and talking a big game -- talking smack, saying "Hey, genius," talking to the Trump administration, "the federal government (TRUMP ADMIN) already confirmed that this guy meets federal and state immigration requirements. You issued him a work permit. As usual, the Trump administration is either lying or clueless. PS @grok, who was President in 2018?" Hurt soon read a statement released by Homeland Security assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin which put the California Democrat in his place: Tricia McLaughlin -- DHS assistant secretary -- responds and absolutely destroys him. saying: "False. Harjinder Singh" -- who is the driver of the truck that did the illegal U-turn who is an illegal and should not have had a license -- "is in the United States illegally, and his work authorization was rejected under the Trump Administration on September 14, 2020. It was later approved under the Biden Administration June 9, 2021. The state of California issues commercial drivers licenses. There is no national CDL. Sincerely, Genius." Transcripts follow: Fox & Friends August 19, 2025 6:16 a.m. Eastern LAWRENCE JONES: Meanwhile, what's happening with these illegals -- the story from Florida -- they shouldn't have ever had a CDL license, but they got one in California. We brought you the story yesterday, and it looks like they were able to -- it was denied -- the work permit was denied by the Trump administration, but the Biden administration granted him that work visa. CHARLES HURT: But, of course, that didn't stop Governor Gavin Newsom from deciding to continue his trying to cosplay as Donald Trump by getting on Twitter and talking a big game -- talking smack, saying "Hey, genius," talking to the Trump administration, "the federal government (TRUMP ADMIN) already confirmed that this guy meets federal and state immigration requirements. You issued him a work permit. As usual, the Trump administration is either lying or clueless. PS @grok, who was President in 2018?" So this was all part of Gavin Newsom trying to pretend like he's a tough guy like Donald Trump because he doesn't have enough to do in his own state like rebuilding neighborhoods that were burned to the ground by the wildfires. Tricia McLaughlin -- DHS assistant secretary -- responds and absolutely destroys him. saying: "False. Sincerely, Genius." So she came bringing the receipts and dropped a ton of bricks on Gavin Newsom's head. AINSLEY EARHARDT: I love that she knows the exact dates -- September 14 -- you know, that's when Donald Trump denied it. This is all because Gavin Newsom was getting criticized  because there's that car accident on the Florida turnpike where this guy -- this illegal immigrant is doing the U-turn -- barely even has an expression after he realizes the minivan doesn't have time to stop and slams underneath his truck. Look at that -- three people died in that -- killed three people, and he has barely an expression when he's caught on his dash camera. (.,,) Fox & Friends August 20, 2025 6:02 a.m. Eastern AINSLEY EARHARDT: The Trump administration now investigating a deadly Florida crash allegedly caused by an illegal migrant truck driver. BRIAN KILMEADE: And officials say the suspect couldn't read English or understand road signs despite getting a commercial driver's license from two sanctuary states. LAWRENCE JONES: Lucas Tomlinson is live in Washington with details. Good morning, Lucas. LUCAS TOMLINSON: Good morning, Lawrence. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has launched a new investigation into this deadly Florida highway crash involving an illegal alien. Preliminary reports state that if states had followed the rules, the driver would have never been behind the wheel. It also says the driver responsible for that fatal crash that killed three people, quote, "The driver failed the assessment, providing correct responses to just two of 12 verbal questions and only accurately identifying one of four highway traffic signs." Here's more from Secretary (Sean) Duffy X posting. Here's what we know: "Washington state improperly issued the driver a full-term commercial drivers license. Asylum seekers or illegal aliens are not allowed to receive this. New Mexico failed to conduct an English language proficiency test when they pulled the driver over for speeding. Had they done this, the driver would not have been on the road." They're also looking into California's issuance of a commercial drivers license. "The failures here are despicable," and "Non-enforcement and radical immigration policies have turned the trucking industry into a lawless frontier, resulting in unqualified foreign drivers improperly acquiring licenses to operate 40-ton vehicles. (The President) and I moved quickly to require drivers to speak English -- our national language -- and launch a full-scale audit of how these licenses are doled out." Now, here's more about the driver. Harjinger Singh is accused of killing three people in a minivan in Florida after -- you showed the video -- for attempting an illegal U-turn through a highway last week in Fort Pierce, marked "official use only," with his massive truck -- tractor trailer -- blocking the highway of a four-lane highway.

Newsom’s DMV gave a CDL to an illegal alien who couldn’t read road signs — now 3 are dead

An illegal immigrant truck driver has been accused of causing a crash in Fort Pierce, Florida, that killed three people. The driver failed English and road sign tests.Harjinder Singh crossed into the United States illegally in 2018 via the southern border, before obtaining a commercial driver’s license in California. When he attempted to obtain work authorization, it was rejected by the first Trump administration on September 14, 2020.Homeland Security assistant secretary for public affairs Trisha McLaughlin is well aware that Singh was initially rejected by the Trump administration, which is why she’s pointing the finger at California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) for the deaths.“[Three] innocent people were killed in Florida because Gavin Newsom’s California DMV issued an illegal alien a Commercial Driver’s License — this state of governance is asinine. How many more innocent people have to die before @GavinNewsom stops playing games with the safety of the American public?” McLaughlin said in a post on X.In an attempt to get back at McLaughlin, Newsom responded on his press office X account, “Hey, genius: the federal government (TRUMP ADMIN) already confirmed that this guy meets federal and state immigration requirements — YOU issued him a work permit (EAD).”“As usual, the Trump Administration is either lying or clueless,” he added.McLaughlin wasn’t having it, responding, “False. Harjinder Singh is in the United States illegally and his work authorization was rejected under the Trump Administration on September 14, 2020. It was later approved under the Biden Administration June 9, 2021.”“The state of California issues Commercial Drivers Licenses. There is no national CDL. Sincerely, Genius,” she fired back.“So good,” BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales comments. The California governor also appears to be gunning for the White House in 2028, but Gonzales doesn’t think he’s anyone to worry about.“The Polymarket presidential odds for 2028 do have him behind JD Vance. Vance is coming in at 28%. Gavin Newsom’s at 16%,” she says.Want more from Sara Gonzales? To enjoy more of Sara's no-holds-barred take to news and culture, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.
