When Little Boy Smashes 3,500-Year-Old Artifact, Museum Has Unexpected Response

Exploring museums with centuries old artifacts can be tons of fun — but it can also be dangerous. That’s something a family recently learned after a visit to the Hecht Museum, located at the University of Haifa in Israel. Here, many of the artifacts on display are not sealed behind glass. So, when a little boy gets curious about some jars he spots, he decides to get a closer look. As a result, the boy accidentally smashes one of the jars! These jars date back to the Middle Bronze Age. That makes them at least 3,500 years old, according to the museum. It’s believed they were used as a way to store and transport supplies like wine and olive oil. Although they’re empty now, the 4-year-old boy’s curiosity came from wanting to know what was inside. Needless to say, both the boy and his dad were shocked by what happened. Facebook It was clear that the 4-year-old, who “pulled the jar slightly,” did not intend to break it. This is something his dad, Alex, made clear when alerting museum staff about what had happened. There’s no doubt that this moment was stressful — Alex had no idea how the museum would respond. But the actions they chose to take certainly surprised Dad… in the best way possible. When a Little Boy Smashes a Centuries-Old Jar, His Dad Is Left Speechless Over the Museum’s Response Rather than getting the police involved, the museum made it clear they weren’t going to hold this accident against the kid or Alex. They even shared that this incident won’t deter them from keeping artifacts out in the open, noting that the founder believed “that there is a special charm in experiencing an archaeological find without any obstructions.” Plus, thanks to skilled experts, the jar is expected to be restored soon and will be returned to the same spot. Best of all, they’re inviting Alex and his son back for another visit once the jar is back, explaining that offering them another tour will “sweeten together the previous experience at the museum.” How cool is that!? NFL Player Has Cutest “Negotiation” With Young Fan In The Stands

Sports fans often dream of getting a memento from their favorite athlete, but one young man turned the tables on this NFL player! In a hilarious video, a boy in the stands tried to get the attention of running back Jamaal Williams with an oversized Pikachu plushy. It totally worked! Within moments, the football player was running over to accept the toy. However, there was a catch. This NFL fan hadn’t flagged the athlete down to give him a present. Pikachu was just a bargaining chip so that the boy could ask for something from the player! Luckily, Williams was willing to play ball. He really wanted the stuffed toy! @bleacherreport The way Jamaal rolled in (via @Samantha Blanchard) #nfl #football #saints ♬ original sound – bleacherreport “What do you want?” he asked the boy seriously. He offered a couple of different options, but the NFL fan had his heart set on the player’s glove. So, Williams promised to make the exchange later. For the moment, he returned Pikachu to his owner, knowing he’d be back for him later. What an adorable negotiation! According to the comments section on this sweet video, this isn’t the first time an NFL fan has made this type of deal with Jamaal Williams. Screengrab from TikTok “When I was at the Lions training camp I traded him a Gaara action figure for his practice worn gloves,” one user wrote. “He signed them and made me sign the Gaara action figure.” Another person added that this football player often asks NFL fans for their autographs! “He has all the fans sign the items,” they said. “It’s so cool.” A third user wrote that, on the day the video was taken, “He stayed out a long time after and gave so many signatures and more. The kids were very happy!” Jamaal Williams seems to have a really sweet relationship with sports fans! It’s so wonderful to see a professional athlete going out of his way to make others feel special. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. Celebrating 25 Years Of Toad Closures: Meet The Woman Saving Thousands

Margaret Cooper, a Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust life member, is a tireless warrior. In the 1990s, she began a fight to help common toads cross roads. The current estimate is that 20 tons (44092.5 pounds) of toads die on UK roads yearly. Margaret knew she couldn’t save them all but could save some. She fought for a toad road closure on Beanford Lane in Oxton, Nottinghamshire. She won in 1999, and the road is off-limits to vehicle traffic every March. To mark the 25th anniversary of her victory, Margaret was awarded a sign from the Automobile Association (AA) to commemorate her work. What are the dangers posed when the road’s closed for toads? I wonder what PCs take on this would be. byu/Arashmin inBoJackHorseman Toads are not like frogs. They don’t hop-hop-hop to get where they’re going. Toads tend to meander along, moving a bit, hanging out, then moving. They like the warmth of pavement, so they tend to linger on roadways longer. This is important because they return to ancestral breeding grounds yearly. Some toads may travel more than a mile to get “home.” They don’t understand the danger of crossing roads because, well, they’re toads, and they don’t drive. Road closures are essential to allow the toads to cross safely. Margaret Cooper’s work is considered the first toad closure in the UK. Several roads across the country have annual closures now to protect the toads. Image from Wikimedia Commons. Declining toad populations in recent years are causing great concern. Where thousands of toads previously crossed during the annual March closure, this year has seen very few toads crossing. Margaret described the numbers as “disastrous” during a live interview on March 25, 2024. Although previous toad population numbers have declined, this year is worse. Margaret and others are hoping for a resurgence in the coming years and will monitor the situation. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. Christians Against Trump Should Realize They’ll Be Public Enemy No. 1 In Harris Admin

Donald Trump made waves when he said his administration would be “great for women and their reproductive rights.” Some in the pro-life movement were understandably perturbed. Yet they must remember: a Kamala Harris administration won’t just be ardently pro-abortion, but will work to criminalize being pro-life altogether. Since Trump made the comment on Truth Social, […]
