Wikimedia Foundation CEO Maryana Iskander has no interest in holding Kamala Harris accountable for recent devastating claims against her, including the claim that Harris plagiarized content from Wikipedia.  MRC Free Speech America reached out to Iskander and 10 other Wikimedia Foundation employees on Oct. 14 after Manhattan Institute Senior Fellow Christopher Rufo published evidence showing that Harris, the current Democratic presidential nominee, had plagiarized content from many sources for her 2009 book, Smart on Crime: A Career Prosecutor’s Plan to Make Us Safer. Iskander and her Wikipedia employees refused to respond to repeated MRC inquiries about content allegedly plagiarized from Wikipedia.  Rufo explained in the exposé that “according to Stefan Weber, a famed Austrian ‘plagiarism hunter’ who has taken down politicians in the German-speaking world, Harris’s book contains more than a dozen ‘vicious plagiarism fragments.’” Rufo noted that Weber’s findings included material purportedly lifted from NBC News, a college press release, and of course, Wikipedia. Rufo further wrote that Harris not only copied Wikipedia’s language in one section but also came to an “unreliable conclusion” as a result of having utilized an “unreliable source” like Wikipedia. Despite the news that Harris purportedly plagiarized from Wikipedia, Iskander did not come to the defense of her foundation. Before replacing radical leftist and current NPR CEO Kathleen Maher as Wikimedia Foundation CEO in 2022, Iskander worked as the Chief Operating Officer of Planned Parenthood, an organization that butchers hundreds of thousands of unborn babies every year. For example, according to Planned Parenthood’s own 2022-2023 report, they ended 392,715 unborn lives in just one year.  Even before refusing to respond to this damning Harris news, Wikipedia has demonstrated remarkable leftist bias under both Maher and Iskander. Under Maher, Wikipedia tilted so far to the left that Wikipedia founder Larry Singer criticized the online encyclopedia for its obvious lack of neutrality. Editors at Wikipedia have also, at different times, banned Breitbart and Newsmax as sources on the website. These editors have also heavily discouraged using Fox News as a source while demonizing satire website and Free Speech Alliance member The Babylon Bee.  Wikipedia’s history of bias includes a history of covering for the Biden-Harris administration. For example, Wikipedia editors allowed 116 edits to their “recession page,” in an apparent attempt to avoid embarrassing President Joe Biden and Harris with evidence of their economic failures. Wikipedia editors or users even shamelessly attached a label to the top of the page warning that an “outdated” version of the article was going viral. Wikipedia editors also egregiously permitted consultants connected to Hunter Biden to edit Hunter Biden’s page in an apparent attempt to improve his image.  Conservatives are under attack! Contact your representatives and demand that Big Tech be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency, clarity on so-called hate speech and equal footing for conservatives. Friends discovered a Montana father brutally mangled to death in his tent. In fact, the victim was so gruesomely mutilated that friends thought a bear mauled him. However, police say the "loving" dad was not killed by a bear; they're calling it a homicide.On Saturday morning, friends of Dustin Kjersem went looking for him after he failed to meet up with them Friday and hadn't been seen since Thursday afternoon. Friends found the 35-year-old father in his tent at a makeshift campsite that morning in Big Sky, one hour southwest of Bozeman, Montana.'This incident was a vicious attack, and detectives are working hard to develop and track down leads. A suspect has not been arrested at this time.'Kjersem's friends immediately contacted police and said he was killed in a bear attack. Members of the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office; Big Sky Fire Department; Montana Highway Patrol; and Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks were dispatched to the spot where the body was discovered. A Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks agent with "expertise in bear attacks" noted that there were not "any signs of bear activity at the scene," which "prompted investigators to treat the case as a homicide."The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release, "Evidence gathered through an autopsy further indicated that this was a homicide.""This incident was a vicious attack, and detectives are working hard to develop and track down leads," police stated. "A suspect has not been arrested at this time."Gallatin County Sheriff Dan Springer said, "People have asked me if there's a threat to this community, and the answer is we don't know. We don't have enough information to know at this time."Springer warned, "We do know that someone was out there who killed someone in a very heinous way, so if you're out in the woods you need to be paying attention, you need to remain vigilant." CBS News reported that Kjersem had sustained "multiple chop wounds," including to his skull, an autopsy revealed. Authorities noted that there is no cellphone service in the crime scene area, which has made the investigation more difficult. Kjersem's sister — Jillian Price — said of her brother, “He was a loving, helpful ... father who in no way deserved this.” “I asked our community to please find out who did this,” she added. “There is someone in our valley that is capable of truly heinous things.”Kjersem had been driving a black 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck with a black topper and a silver aluminum ladder rack.Sheriff Springer said, "He was brutally killed at his campsite, and we need your help."Capt. Nathan Kamerman said, "Think of the whole canyon. A massive spill of data from Game Freak, the developer behind the Pokémon franchise, has been revealed to contain source code, concept art, and over 25 years of internal files.The data breach dubbed "Teraleak" contains a ton of stolen data, including the following: Developer build of Pokémon Black/WhiteOld tech demosUnreleased gamesTest builds for Pokémon GoDocuments for canceled and upcoming moviesConcept artTechnical documents'The Pokémon brand is still really strong.'Game Freak has confirmed the hack in a Japanese document; which, when translated, reveals that the names and company email addresses of over 2,600 employees, contract workers, and former employees were exposed."Our company has discovered that personal information of our employees and others was leaked in connection with unauthorized access to our servers by a third party in August 2024," Game Freak wrote."We are contacting the affected employees individually."The company added, "We have already rebuilt and re-inspected the server and will strive to prevent recurrence by further strengthening our security measures." Then, it linked to a response form.John F. Trent, editor for gaming and culture site That Park Place, said, "in the short term there might be some negative repercussions, but in the long run the Pokemon brand is still really strong."Trent pointed to the brand's continuing to "kneecap" itself by embracing a woke ideology and said it may result in the company becoming an "enemy of the audience" it is trying to sell to.What is becoming increasingly apparent, however, is how hacking culture and cybersecurity have become self-sustaining industries. Mysterious hacks and data dumps occur, and cyber security companies with shady connections jump at the chance to rescue the affected party.In an interview about the 2014 Sony Pictures hack, researcher Ken Heckenlively referred to cybersecurity agencies as being “like bounty hunters" who all want to play heroes for big tech companies.This mirrors the circumstances surrounding CrowdStrike, which made headlines during the 2016 federal electoral campaign.The cyber-security firm was called upon to investigate the alleged hacks of the DNC despite being responsible for the party's cyber security already, essentially investigating itself.CrowdStrike, which sparked a worldwide systems crash in August, was later revealed to have connections to the World Economic Forum, massive investment firm Vanguard, and intelligence agencies.
