In a victory for the GOP, a Pennsylvania judge has upheld a decision from the Butler County Board of Elections that bars voters “curing” their defective mail-in ballots that lack inner secrecy envelopes, aka “naked ballots.” Pennsylvania requires votes by mail to have ballots inside an inner secrecy envelope. “Prior to Election Day, the plaintiffs submitted mail-in ballots without an inner secrecy envelope and the board of elections rejected them. In an effort to cure their ballots, both voters submitted provisional ballots on Election Day. However, the board decided not to count the voters’ provisional ballots,” Democracy Docket explained. “The actions of the Board in adopting a narrow cure policy that applies in such a way as to uphold voting deadlines and ensure secrecy in voting is maintained, but that allows electors the greatest possible chance of having their vote counted, does not violate either the Election Code or the Free and Equal clause of the Pennsylvania Constitution,” Judge S. Michael Yeager wrote, adding, “It is the voter’s burden to ensure they have completed the steps necessary for their mail-in ballot to be included in the tabulation.” In a prior petition to Judge Yeager, the Republican National Committee and Pennsylvania GOP wrote, “There can be no dispute that the unequivocal law of Pennsylvania is that secrecy envelopes are required, and any mail-in ballot received without a secrecy envelope cannot be counted. CHICAGO—A ragtag coalition of communists, anti-Israel demonstrators, revolutionary feminists, and more have descended on the Windy City to attack the Democratic Party and Vice President Kamala Harris from the Left. The March on the DNC is comprised of more than 150 extremist groups that “support terrorism and/or identify as Marxist, communist, or anarchist,” according to the Capital Research Center. Members of the coalition have praised Hamas, pushed for a communist revolution, and called for political violence. The extremist organization isn’t shy about its willingness to use violence to achieve its political goals. “In Behind Enemy Lines, we strive to approach all of our political work with the discipline and seriousness required in the struggle against imperialism,” reads an article on the group’s site. It goes on to praise the use of violence by Leftists during the Black Lives Matter riots. “To borrow an example from some comrades: hundreds, if not thousands of protests against police killings took place in the summer of 2020,” the group says. “None of them were as effective in delivering a message than the burning of the 3rd Police Precinct in Minneapolis in a spontaneous outpouring of the rage of the masses, all done without group chats or the leadership of ‘experienced activists.’” The protest attracted a wide range of different extreme Leftists, including one protester who openly sided with the terrorist organization Hamas, holding a sign that read “Armed resistance is the only answer. The group found that “the extremist groups have ties to or have expressed support for 19 foreign terrorist organizations,” including Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Communist Party of the Philippines, and the Taliban, among others. Monday’s protest, which began at Chicago’s Union Park, was primarily focused on the Israel-Palestine conflict, with the far-Left demonstrators accusing the Democratic Party, “genocide Joe,” and “killer Kamala,” of being complicit in genocide. Attendees heard from Dr. Cornel West, a leftwing activist and political candidate, who slammed the Democrats while speaking to The Daily Wire. “Shame on the Democratic Party who can’t meet a low moral litmus test of calling genocide into question, you can’t deny it. Many people have wondered during the course of their lives what it would be like to be present and sort of alive, observing their own funeral. They would get to see all the orations about what a wonderful person they were. Yet no one really actually gets to give their own eulogy at their own funeral. But Joe Biden did just that last night. The overriding feeling you get from watching the DNC is that these people are so pathetically fake — so fake. Last night was supposed to be a unifying tribute night to Biden  as they shuffle him off his mortal coil. In fact, Biden showed up to give a speech, and then they put him on a plane and shoved him off, saying, “Get the hell out of here.” And they sent him to California. Remember, that guy is still the president until January. So I have no idea who’s running the country. You have no idea who’s running the country. Apparently, it simply doesn’t matter who is running the country at this point. But the idea was that he was going to speak in prime time. They were going to give him his gold watch. They were going to give him a big round of applause for his wondrous leadership after having stabbed his candidacy to death and left it bleeding out on the floor. They were going to talk about what a wonderful president he has been. It would be a night of warm feelings and hot, flowing tears, and it would just be an emotional, resonant, and incredible night when he “passed the torch.”  In reality, it was the sad spectacle of an old man being shoved off a cliff and forced to celebrate as he himself was shoved off the cliff. That is basically what happened to Biden last night. He had to embrace the party at last and feel the joy. Then, they packed him into an ice box and shipped him off by train to California, where he is on vacation again. It was, once more, that feeling of fakery that pervades this entire enterprise. The American people are unhappy with the direction of the country right now. There’s not a single poll in America that shows fewer than two-thirds of Americans thinking America is moving in the wrong direction. Democrats are in charge of the government. They are in charge of the White House. They’re in charge of the Senate. So if you believe the country is moving in the wrong direction (and two-thirds of you do), everyone might want to consider why that is. When a country is very unhappy about the economy, foreign policy, and elitism of critical race theory, the intersectional Democrats — the people who say a boy can be a girl and vice versa and then simultaneously say that if you speak differently, you ought to be ousted from public life —  does slapping a Kamala Harris Happy Face sticker on this bag of crap work? That is their policy proposal? Does that make anyone feel any better? The entire thing is phony. The entire thing is fake. From soup to nuts last night, it was all phony, it was all fake, up to and including Biden’s speech at the very end. The entire celebration was supposed to culminate in Biden giving a warm speech about Harris and about him being a heroic figure. Cincinnatus retiring to his farm, George Washington giving up command, and so on. Instead, they shoved him off beyond prime time. He started speaking last night at 11:30 p.m. in the battleground states — in Michigan, in Pennsylvania, in Georgia.  He spoke for 48 minutes. The Democrats tried to pretend that it was about Biden, and it really wasn’t. It was about shoving him off the cliff as fast as possible. Ace pollster Nate Silver admitted on X that “you’ve gotta be pretty naive to think the prolonged DNC tonight is for any reason other than diminishing Biden’s visibility.” That is exactly right. It doesn’t matter what the face of the clock says of the Democratic Party. It just matters what the machinery, the workings of the clock, are. They switched out the face of the clock for a different face of the clock. It is the same exact machinery underneath. Biden was always a machine politician. Now, Harris is a machine politician. It’s the same exact machine, but you’re not supposed to feel the fakery. So the question is: Who would be that gullible? That is the question for 2024. Just who is that gullible? Who is going to be taken in by all of the sloganeering about Donald Trump being a threat to democracy and being such a deep, abiding, and terrible figure in American public life? To the point one just continues on with these crappy policies that have wrecked America fiscally, are setting us on a path to economic ruin, have set the world on fire in terms of foreign policy, and have opened the door to Russia, China, and Iran? Who would be that gullible? Who would be gullible enough to believe what they are selling? Because it is a sales pitch, and it is a bad sales pitch at that. The sales pitch, of course, begins with fake “joy, joy, joy, joy, joy.” There’s something peculiarly sinister about people saying that there is just “joy” everywhere. Our candidate’s better than the other candidate.” It’s another thing to say and be enthusiastic for the Democratic candidate because they’re excited Biden is out now. It is another thing entirely to pretend Harris — one of the most scripted, manufactured, non-genuine politicians in American history — is a representative of “joy,” that the awful awkward cackle she unleashes when asked a difficult question is not a cackle; rather, it is an expression of her inner child. She, like Peter Pan, is youth. She is “joy.” She is a little bird breaking free from the egg. She is a representative of “joy.” You should feel the “joy.” And if you don’t feel the “joy,” it’s because you’re bad. It’s because you’re mean; it’s because you’re cruel. Maybe a little racist. That’s why you don’t feel the “joy.” That is the Democratic Party platform at this point.  Whoever buys this crap is stupid. Whoever buys this crap, pretends it’s about the “joy,” and embraces the “moving forward” is a rube and a sucker and being played like a fiddle.
