The AC/DC guitar solo that Slash said is one of his favorites

One of the most important guitarists from the past decades, Slash was born in England but moved to the United States with his mother when he was still a kid. He grew up listening to many different music genres but he really fell in love for Rock and Roll music Over the decades he talked about many of his favorite bands and one of them is AC/DC. He even revealed which is one of his favorite guitar solos of the band. The AC/DC guitar solo that Slash said is one of his favorites AC/DC has an amazing discography and it's really hard to pick favorite songs among so many great ones. But Slash once said in an interview with Consequence Of Sound that "Hells Bells" has one of his favorite guitar solos. “The first time I ever heard it was at my friend’s house. So this was 1980. This was a crucial point in rock ‘n’ roll at that time. Because all my favorite bands had either disbanded or members had died. And there was a lot of new music, but nothing really turned me on that much. And AC/DC, I was familiar with ‘Highway to Hell’ and I was familiar with ‘Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap,’ and I was into those two records. But I didn’t know Bon Scott had died, I didn’t know they had a new singer or any of that. And then all of a sudden ‘Back in Black’ came out. It was like a battle cry for rock and roll and heavy metal at that time.” He continued: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etAIpkdhU9Q&pp=ygULaGVsbHMgYmVsbHM%3D “It was a killer record from start to finish – every song was good. The single ‘Back in Black’ was as good a single as a rock ‘n’ roll single gets. I think one of my favorite songs on the record was ‘Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution.' And then, even to this day, one of my favorite guitar solos of all time is in ‘Hells Bells.’ So that particular record, it was pivotal for me. I just started playing guitar, and it was the first really great rock and roll band to come along in a little while. And, obviously, it was a big record for AC/DC and garnered them a place in history books that would go on forever and ever after that,” Slash said. The Guns N' Roses guitarist has always been a big fan of AC/DC and some of his favorite albums from the group are "Powerage" (1978), "Highway To Hell" (1979), "Back In Black" (1980) and "Power Up" (2020). His solo band was AC/DC's opening act He had the chance to meet Angus Young and Brian Johnson better when his band Slash's Snakepit was AC/DC's opening act back in 2001. He recalled that in an interview with BBC Radio. "I’ll go with Angus Young (as my Rock God) at this point because he’s somebody I’ve known for a really long time. The first record I really heard from AC/DC was ‘Highway to Hell.’" Slash continued: “I didn’t hear any of the stuff prior to that. But that had a big enough of an impact, and then after that, ‘Back in Black.’ And then I got to meet Angus and Brian and the rest of the guys when I was opening for AC/DC with Snakepit in 2001. “And they were just really great. They took me out on the road, took me under their wing. I just always loved their work ethic, always loved Angus’ guitar style. (So) I mean, all things considered, the first time I saw AC/DC – I think it was on TV. I was just like, ‘Wow! Check this out!’, you know?” Slash said. The post The AC/DC guitar solo that Slash said is one of his favorites appeared first on Rock And Roll Garage.

Blink-182’s “One More Time… Part-2” Coming Soon

Blink-182 will release “One More Time… Part-2” on September 6th. The eight new tracks expand last year’s “One More Time…,” which went to #1 on the Billboard 200.  “One More Time… Part-2” will arrive in physical and digital configurations, including a two-LP complete limited edition deluxe edition featuring all 27 tracks from “One More Time…” and “Part-2.” “One More Time…,” the band’s ninth studio effort marked the return of guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge following his departure from the band in ’15. DeLonge reached out after bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus was diagnosed with lymphoma in ’21. The trio overcame lingering disputes, which later led to DeLonge’s return. The first single off “Part-2″, “All In My Head” will drop this Friday (8/23). ### The post Blink-182’s “One More Time… Part-2” Coming Soon appeared first on RockinTown.
