An Orleans Parish prosecutor was discovered dead in his office by an apparent suicide, police said. The statement said the DA’s office would resume normal operations on Tuesday. Records show Kersting was admitted to the Louisiana bar on Oct. 30, 2020. Kersting had been assigned to the office’s SAKI unit (Sexual Assault Kit Initiative), a specialized division that works in partnership with NOPD sex crimes detectives to investigate and prosecute sex crimes cases through the use of recovered DNA evidence. The FBI recovered a black ISIS flag from the rented truck and found that Jabbar pledged allegiance to ISIS in online videos posted hours before the attack.

The incoming first lady is an executive producer on the film directed by Brett Ratner, who was infamously cast out of the Warner Brothers studio after being accused of sexual misconduct in 2017. Amazon said in a statement that the documentary offers an “unprecedented behind-the-scenes look” at Melania Trump and a “truly unique story.” Filming began in December, and the project is slated for release at some point during the second half of this year. “Prime Video will be sharing more details on the project as filming progresses and release plans are finalized. We are excited to share this truly unique story with our millions of customers around the world,” the company said. The former and now future first lady also released a self-titled memoir late last year. Her husband takes office on Jan. 20.
