Many people have wondered during the course of their lives what it would be like to be present and sort of alive, observing their own funeral. They would get to see all the orations about what a wonderful person they were. Yet no one really actually gets to give their own eulogy at their own funeral. But Joe Biden did just that last night. The overriding feeling you get from watching the DNC is that these people are so pathetically fake — so fake. Last night was supposed to be a unifying tribute night to Biden  as they shuffle him off his mortal coil. In fact, Biden showed up to give a speech, and then they put him on a plane and shoved him off, saying, “Get the hell out of here.” And they sent him to California. Remember, that guy is still the president until January. So I have no idea who’s running the country. You have no idea who’s running the country. Apparently, it simply doesn’t matter who is running the country at this point. But the idea was that he was going to speak in prime time. They were going to give him his gold watch. They were going to give him a big round of applause for his wondrous leadership after having stabbed his candidacy to death and left it bleeding out on the floor. They were going to talk about what a wonderful president he has been. It would be a night of warm feelings and hot, flowing tears, and it would just be an emotional, resonant, and incredible night when he “passed the torch.”  In reality, it was the sad spectacle of an old man being shoved off a cliff and forced to celebrate as he himself was shoved off the cliff. That is basically what happened to Biden last night. He had to embrace the party at last and feel the joy. Then, they packed him into an ice box and shipped him off by train to California, where he is on vacation again. It was, once more, that feeling of fakery that pervades this entire enterprise. The American people are unhappy with the direction of the country right now. There’s not a single poll in America that shows fewer than two-thirds of Americans thinking America is moving in the wrong direction. Democrats are in charge of the government. They are in charge of the White House. They’re in charge of the Senate. So if you believe the country is moving in the wrong direction (and two-thirds of you do), everyone might want to consider why that is. When a country is very unhappy about the economy, foreign policy, and elitism of critical race theory, the intersectional Democrats — the people who say a boy can be a girl and vice versa and then simultaneously say that if you speak differently, you ought to be ousted from public life —  does slapping a Kamala Harris Happy Face sticker on this bag of crap work? That is their policy proposal? Does that make anyone feel any better? The entire thing is phony. The entire thing is fake. From soup to nuts last night, it was all phony, it was all fake, up to and including Biden’s speech at the very end. The entire celebration was supposed to culminate in Biden giving a warm speech about Harris and about him being a heroic figure. Cincinnatus retiring to his farm, George Washington giving up command, and so on. Instead, they shoved him off beyond prime time. He started speaking last night at 11:30 p.m. in the battleground states — in Michigan, in Pennsylvania, in Georgia.  He spoke for 48 minutes. The Democrats tried to pretend that it was about Biden, and it really wasn’t. It was about shoving him off the cliff as fast as possible. Ace pollster Nate Silver admitted on X that “you’ve gotta be pretty naive to think the prolonged DNC tonight is for any reason other than diminishing Biden’s visibility.” That is exactly right. It doesn’t matter what the face of the clock says of the Democratic Party. It just matters what the machinery, the workings of the clock, are. They switched out the face of the clock for a different face of the clock. It is the same exact machinery underneath. Biden was always a machine politician. Now, Harris is a machine politician. It’s the same exact machine, but you’re not supposed to feel the fakery. So the question is: Who would be that gullible? That is the question for 2024. Just who is that gullible? Who is going to be taken in by all of the sloganeering about Donald Trump being a threat to democracy and being such a deep, abiding, and terrible figure in American public life? To the point one just continues on with these crappy policies that have wrecked America fiscally, are setting us on a path to economic ruin, have set the world on fire in terms of foreign policy, and have opened the door to Russia, China, and Iran? Who would be that gullible? Who would be gullible enough to believe what they are selling? Because it is a sales pitch, and it is a bad sales pitch at that. The sales pitch, of course, begins with fake “joy, joy, joy, joy, joy.” There’s something peculiarly sinister about people saying that there is just “joy” everywhere. Our candidate’s better than the other candidate.” It’s another thing to say and be enthusiastic for the Democratic candidate because they’re excited Biden is out now. It is another thing entirely to pretend Harris — one of the most scripted, manufactured, non-genuine politicians in American history — is a representative of “joy,” that the awful awkward cackle she unleashes when asked a difficult question is not a cackle; rather, it is an expression of her inner child. She, like Peter Pan, is youth. She is “joy.” She is a little bird breaking free from the egg. She is a representative of “joy.” You should feel the “joy.” And if you don’t feel the “joy,” it’s because you’re bad. It’s because you’re mean; it’s because you’re cruel. Maybe a little racist. That’s why you don’t feel the “joy.” That is the Democratic Party platform at this point.  Whoever buys this crap is stupid. Whoever buys this crap, pretends it’s about the “joy,” and embraces the “moving forward” is a rube and a sucker and being played like a fiddle.

News Secret Level Secret Level Trailer: Animated Anthology Series Visits Worlds of 15 Video Games The series featured include Warhamner 40,000, PAC-MAN, and Dungeons & Dragons. The show is called Secret Level and comes from Tim Miller, who—through his company Blur Studio—is also the showrunner and creator of Love, Death + Robots. Dave Wilson serves as executive producer and supervising director. “Secret Level weaves a tapestry of iconic games across multiple mediums, to tell a series of unique and captivating stories,” Amazon MGM Studios Head of Television, Vernon Sanders, said in a statement, adding that “each episode will take our global Prime Video customers on a brand new journey with breathtaking animation and imaginative storytelling.” Here are the games featured in the series’ fifteen episodes: Armored Core Concord Crossfire Dungeons & Dragons Exodus Honor of Kings Mega Man New World: Aeternum PAC-MAN PlayStation (Highlighting various PlayStation Studios beloved entities) Spelunky The Outer Worlds Unreal Tournament Warhammer 40,000 Prime Video also released a trailer for the upcoming series, which includes snippets of the upcoming episodes. A Michigan jury has found seven pro-life activists guilty of engaging in a conspiracy against rights and violations of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances, or FACE, Act for peacefully protesting outside of an abortion clinic. The charges against the pro-life activists were brought by President Joe Biden’s administration, specifically the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division led by Kristen Clarke. The Daily Wire reported Tuesday that the DOJ has used the conspiracy against rights charge, which was originally designed for the Ku Klux Klan, to prosecute the pro-lifers, who face 10 years in prison as well as heavy fines. One of these pro-life activists is 89-year-old Eva Edl, who survived a World War II-era death camp before escaping to the United States. She has devoted her life to protecting unborn babies. “I feel very strongly, because of my background, that human life is sacred,” she told The Daily Signal in April as she discussed her looming trials. “Government does not have the authority to permit what God forbids. And murder is forbidden by God.” Immediately after seven Christian pro-lifers were convicted in Detroit of violating the FACE Act and conspiracy against rights, they went outside the courthouse and started singing and praying. pic.twitter.com/8SzFe3tjcu— Leif Le Mahieu (@leif_lemahieu) August 20, 2024 The jury convicted her Tuesday with fellow pro-life activists Chester Gallagher, Heather Idoni, Joel Curry, Justin Phillips, Cal Zastrow, and Eva Zastrow, The Daily Wire reported. The group of pro-life activists had participated in a “rescue”—an event where they peacefully protested outside of Northland Family Planning Clinic, an abortion clinic, in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Additionally, Edl and Idoni had participated in a pro-life protest at Women’s Health Clinic in Saginaw, Michigan.  The FACE Act prohibits use of force, obstruction, or property damage intended to interfere with “reproductive health care services.” Though it theoretically protects houses of worship and pro-life pregnancy resource centers as well as abortion clinics, the Biden administration’s Justice Department has largely used the FACE Act to prosecute pro-life activists like Edl. Edl maintains that she never committed any violence against those at the abortion clinics. She says that her actions are completely justified, given that she is trying to save the lives of babies about to be aborted. “Let me liken it to something,” Edl said, referring back to her time in the death camp, “When we were rounded up to be killed, we were placed in cattle cars, and our train was headed toward the extermination camp.” “What if citizens of my country would have overcome their fear and a number of them stood on those railroad tracks between the gate of the entrance to the death camp and the train?” she asked. “The train would have to stop. And while the guards on those trains would be busy rounding up the ones that were in front of the train, another group could have come in, pried open our cattle car and possibly set us free. But nobody did.” She has heard stories that people stood by the roadside and wept as the cattle cars went by. “But that didn’t help us any,” she said. “So, when we place our bodies between the woman and the clinic, we buy time to get our sidewalk counselors the opportunity to speak with women and –hopefully open their hearts with love for their babies and let their babies live,” the death camp survivor said. “After all,” she added, “we offer them everything there is, including adoptions. I’ve offered to adopt babies on the spot … we’re standing between the killer and the victim.” Kristen Clarke, the head of the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, heads up enforcement of the FACE Act. Following a report from The Daily Signal in April, Clarke recently admitted that she hid the fact that she had been arrested and her arrest’s subsequent expungement from her record from investigators when she was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to her Justice Department post. The president’s critics have accused the Biden-Harris administration and the DOJ of weaponizing the FACE Act against pro-lifers while failing to charge pro-abortion criminals for the hundreds of attacks on pro-life pregnancy resource centers since the May 2022 leak of the draft Supreme Court opinion indicating Roe v. Wade would soon be overturned. Some critics, among them Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, have called for the repeal of the FACE Act, arguing that it serves no purpose but to target pro-life activists. “The Biden administration is using the FACE Act to give pro-life activists and senior citizens lengthy prison terms for nonviolent offenses and protests—all while turning a blind eye to the violence, arson, and riots conducted on behalf of ‘approved’ leftist causes,” Lee told The Daily Signal in May, when a number of pro-life activists were sentenced to prison time. “Unequal enforcement of the law is a violation of the law,” Lee added at the time, “and men and women who try to expose the horrors of abortion are being unjustly persecuted for their motivations.” The post Death Camp Survivor, Pro-Life Activists Convicted Over Peaceful Pro-Life Protest appeared first on The Daily Signal.
