When are vaulted Greek Mythics coming back to Fortnite? Wings‚ Chains‚ and Zeus Lightning Bolt

The Mythics from Season 2 of Chapter 5 of Fortnite may have been vaulted. You might be scratching your head as to why theyre gone since these events usually span the entire season. If youre wondering why theyre gone and when the vaulted Greek Mythics are coming back to Fortnite including Wings‚ Chains‚ and Zeues Lighting Bolt‚ we may have the answer.When are the Wings‚ Chains‚ and Zeus Lighting Bolt Mythics coming back from being Vaulted in Fortnite?At the time of writing this piece‚there seems to be no return datefor any of the Vaulted Greek Gods Mythics. So you might not be able to get any of the free items that came in the event right now. However‚ according to Epic‚ the Avatar event in Fortnite runs till early May. One could assume that when the current event ends‚ the Greek Gods from the ongoing season might return. If they do‚ hopefully‚ all the items associated with each God will make a return too. Think Tanks‚ Political Groups‚ and Activists Join Forces to Amplify School Choice Efforts in Virginia

A coalition of parents rights activists have reignited the fight for school choice for Virginias families with the help of The Heritage Foundation.Virginias Thomas Jefferson Institute has pushed for education reform in the Old Dominion for years‚ including through its Virginia Education Opportunity Alliance‚ a parents rights coalition. A $150‚000 Innovation Prize grant from Heritage in 2022 has since helped the institute reach out to the broader school choice movement and grow its coalition to advocate for greater educational freedom throughout the commonwealth. (The Daily Signal is the news outlet of The Heritage Foundation.)According to Thomas Jefferson Institute President Chris Braunlich‚ the grant provided a unique opportunity for our coalition to jump-start the education choice movement in Virginia‚ where it has lain moribund for decades.In a phone interview on April 3‚ Braunlich said the alliance connects all aspects of the political sphere together: Three major think tanks‚ the Family Foundation‚ Heritage Action [for America]‚ [and] a bunch of others are all on the same page and [are] all pushing the same direction because of the coalition.Reflecting on what still needs to be done‚ Braunlich said he hopes the alliance can reach out to minority communities‚ particularly in areas where schools are failing the most. He said the group has seen success with informing parents in different left-leaning areas of Virginia‚ like Richmond‚ the state capital‚ and the Hampton Roads area.The coalition uses a myriad of methods to engage Virginia communities. Word-of-mouth‚ social media campaigns‚ and outreach coordinators who hold meetings in their various communities all help to reach people throughout the state‚ including minority groups.Braunlich said that the coalition is unique because it brings public policy think tanks and political groups together to formulate plans and execute them through one voice.The Thomas Jefferson Institute is a 25-year-old Virginia public policy organization dedicated to changing lives through freedom and opportunity‚ according to its website. The institute conducts research on a broad spectrum of subjects and distributes that research to conservatives and persuadable middle‚ politically moderate Virginians.The Heritage Innovation Prize provides substantial financial awards totaling up to $1 million annually to results-oriented nonprofits for projects involving research‚ litigation‚ education‚ outreach‚ or communications; particularly those focused on empowering parents in education‚ holding Big Tech accountable‚ countering the threat of the Chinese Communist Party‚ securing Americas borders and reducing crime‚ ensuring free and fair elections‚ reducing the growth of spending and inflation‚ and promoting life and family formation.The post Think Tanks‚ Political Groups‚ and Activists Join Forces to Amplify School Choice Efforts in Virginia appeared first on The Daily Signal.

NYPD‚ Other Cops Deserve Next-Gen Protective Gear

The heartbreakingkilling of NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller during aMarch 25traffic stopin Queensreminds Americansof the dangersthatour cops facedaily. Unfortunately‚ the accused gunman fatally shot Diller‚ 31‚just below hisbullet-resistant vest.Enough is enough!The time is nowto give New York Police Departmentofficersthe trailblazing protective gear they desperately need and deserve.Todays standard-issue body shields leave officers exposed to perpetrators increasingly lethal weapons. But groundbreaking innovations like liquid armor and ultra-high-strength composites could revolutionize police protection‚ creating lightweight‚ flexible equipment that lets cops operate more securely.AI-powered sensors and real-time data analysis could enhance authorities situational awareness and decision-making. On the horizon: Lighter and more comfortable smart long johns that officers could slip beneath their uniforms.Breakthroughs in smart helmetsalso could prevent deaths. Advanced composites of Kevlar‚ carbon fiber‚ and thermoplastics could help craft headgear that are more nimble‚ easier to wear‚ and far tougher on hostile fire.Much of this R&;amp;D is already underway‚ driven largely by the Pentagons quest for better military gear. These improvements often feature importantlaw-enforcement applications. Predictably‚ the usual suspectscop-haters‚ criminal apologists‚ and the defund the police crowdcomplain about the militarization of local precincts.But what kind of society deploys police officers without the best safeguards?Criminals will never stop trying to outgun the police‚ says retired NYPD Capt. Ed Mamet‚ co-host of WABC radiosCop Talk podcast. We owe it to our uniformed officers to keep up with the technology and give them the best protection as swiftly as possible.Better equipment could save civilians‚ too. Officers who feel invulnerable are less likely to resort to force while fearing for their own lives. Nobody wants to turn police into robocops‚ but supplying them with 21st-century armor makes common sense for them and those they shield from criminals.Advanced defensive materials eventually will become more affordable. 3D printing already slashes costs in other industries.But critics of police will do everything they can to scuttle relevant R&;amp;D. Only relentless public pressure from law-abiding citizens will keep this initiative on track.Politically‚ Americans who back the blue should derail the defunders. Indeed‚ Republicans should give those who rant against the cops the opportunity to vote on lifesaving paraphernalia.Whatever they might think about police head count levels and patrol tactics‚ do the likes of Reps. Ayanna Pressley‚ D-Mass.; Jamal Bowman‚ D-N.Y.; and Ilhan Omar‚ D-Minn. and their state and local comrades want Americas cops to be more or less likely to die under fire? If the haters want cops merely restrained‚ but not dead‚ they should vote accordingly on Capitol Hill and in U.S. statehouses and city halls.However‚ if the cop-loathing Left really wants to make it easier for criminals tokill police officers‚ then these lawmakers should be honest about the deadly depths of their cop-hatred. Police supporters then should educate voters on such facts.Government spending should flow from woke nonsense to high-tech police protection. President Joe Bidens latest budget earmarks billions for nebulous gender equity projects. A second Trump administration should reallocate these funds to perfecting and deploying safer law-enforcement equipment.And if the U.S. Houses notorious Squad opposes those defensive devices‚ they should lose the earmarks that‚ maddeningly‚ they scored in last months budget cliffhanger. If‚ for instance‚ Pressley opposes this gear‚ it should be curtains for her $400‚000 PowerUp Latinx Business Initiative. Ditto Omars $1 million People Serving People Elevator and Bowmans $1.65 million Mt. Vernon Green Tech Park. Those funds should underwrite police-safety R&;amp;D.Diller made the ultimate sacrifice while upholding his oath. America should honor his memory by giving his uniformed brothers and sisters every possible advantage in their vital and dangerous work. Its time to move heaven and earth to armor the NYPD and other police squads and make it much easier for them to stay alive when criminal bullets go flying.The Daily Signal publishes a variety of perspectives. Nothing written here is to be construed as representing the views of The Heritage Foundation.The post NYPD‚ Other Cops Deserve Next-Gen Protective Gear appeared first on The Daily Signal.

BUZZKILL! Krugman Claimed ';Wave of Inflation'; Seems to ';Have Broken Day Before Hot BLS Report

The New York Times economics parody writer Paul Krugman because thats all hes been reduced to now cant seem to avoid sleepwalking his way into major‚ unforced errors.In another Apr. 9 column praising President Joe Bidens alleged Goldilocks economy‚ Krugman was adamant that while there was a wave of inflation‚ it seems to have broken.Yes‚ Krugman wrote this just a day before the Bureau of Labor Statistics released its Apr. 10 report showing that consumer prices spiked hotter than expected at 3.5 percent year-over-year and 0.4 percent month-over-month.CNBC analyzed that core consumer prices (excluding food and energy) also accelerated 0.4% on a monthly basis while rising 3.8% from a year ago‚ compared with respective estimates for 0.3% and 3.7%.French newspaper Le Monde concluded‚ The numbers are bad and getting worse. In other words‚ Krugman: You done messed up A-Aron.Krugmans column‚ in retrospect‚ gets even more painful as one reads on:Basically‚ America rapidly restored full employment while experiencing a one-time jump in the level of prices without a sustained rise in inflation‚ the rate at which prices are rising. Not bad‚ especially considering all the dire predictions made along the way. [emphasis added].Ouch.The other hole in Krugmans argument here is that he doesnt mention the workers missing from the labor force. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce conservatively estimated that number to be around 1.7 million on Feb. 13‚ 2024‚ compared to February 2020. The chamber stated‚ If every unemployed person in the country found a job‚ we would still have nearly 2.4 million open jobs. Other estimates put the number of jobs missing from the labor market compared to its pre-pandemic trend at 4.8 million.Krugmans new shtick for spinning the U.S. economic situation is suggesting that Americans should forget the CPI index by the BLS altogether. The so-called breaking of the wave of inflation‚ as Krugman put it‚ is especially clear if you measure inflation the way other countries do. By his distorted metrics‚ Krugman claimed irresponsibly that inflation has already been cut to roughly 2 percent‚ the [Federal Reserves] inflation target. Ah‚ so all Americans have to do is use other countries metrics to hoodwink themselves into believing that the inflation situation is better than it is. Brilliant!Its too bad for Krugman the liberal media writ large are now projecting the new inflation numbers are signaling that the Fed isnt anywhere near its target to be comfortably cutting interest rates anytime soon.Even liberal CNN anchor Kate Bolduan admitted that the hot BLS numbers meant [i]nflation is headed in the wrong direction right now. Subsequently‚ the Atlanta Federal Reserve revised down its nowcast model for first quarter GDP growth to 2.4 percent from its April 5‚ 2.5 percent estimate. Heritage Foundation economist EJ Antoni summarized what the series of unfortunate events for Krugmans narrative meant for the future in an X post: BLS releases hot CPI and now ATL Fed revises down GDP nowcast...Inflation: faster[.] Growth: slower [.] Say it w/ me: stagflation.BLS releases hot CPI and now ATL Fed revises down GDP nowcast...Inflation: fasterGrowth: slowerSay it w/ me: stagflation pic.twitter.com/UoptaylTDe E.J. Antoni‚ Ph.D. (@RealEJAntoni) April 10‚ 2024But thats not all. Queens College‚ Cambridge President Mohamed A. El-Erian even conceded that the hot inflation report signaled continued price pressure on consumers‚ which hits the poor hardest‚ and a sharp market reaction. Liberal Harvard Professor of Practice Jason Furman also admitted‚ Over the last twelve months core CPI has risen 3.5%. That is faster than any twelve month period from February 1993 to 2020.Conservatives are under attack. Contact The New York Times at 800-698-4637 and demand it distance itself from Krugmans awful takes on Bidenomics.

Oh‚ NOW You Like Him?! Disneys ABC Hails DeSantis for Cracking Down on Retail Theft

Exactly two weeks after Disney more or less cried uncle and agreed to a settlement with the State of Florida in its lawsuit over the Parental Rights in Education bill and a few months after Governor Ron DeSantiss (R-FL) presidential campaign came to an end‚ Disney-owned ABC had a surprisingly laudatory segment on Thursdays Good Morning America as they praised DeSantis for com[ing] down on hard on porch piracy and retail theft.Oh‚ how convenient. Now that both fronts of Disneys pressure campaign bashing DeSantis for defending children and parents and constantly trashing his presidential campaign to benefit Trump are over‚ ABC seems to think hes no longer a threat‚ so theyre now free to give him some love.Co-host Robin Roberts had the first of two teases:ROBERTS: Porch pirate crackdown. The latest state to come down hard on criminals who swipe packages.DESANTIS: Someones going to have hell to pay for stealing.ROBERTS: And strict new penalties for retail theft.In the second‚ co-host Michael Strahan got in on the act‚ promising a segment on the latest state to crack down on porch pirates.Strahan also opened the segment: Now to the porch pirate crackdown in Florida. Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill to make the Sunshine State the latest to raise penalties for stealing packages from outside homes as well as for retail theft.Even the accompanying chyron alone came off like something from an alternate reality: Florida Porch Pirate Crackdown; Governor Signs Bill to Toughen Penalties for Stealing Packages‚ Retail Theft.Correspondent Melissa Adan didnt bat an eye as she reported Florida is actually going to make it a felony if you steal $40 or more worth of property and said the police chief of Coral Gables told her he welcomes this news‚ as he sees hundreds of these cases here in his city and he hopes that these stiffer criminal charges make a difference.Highlighting a few examples of porch pirates and footage of one homeowner using a decoy package to catch a would-be thief‚ Adan said DeSantis had enough and was cracking down thanks to [a] law going into effect this October with that $40 penalty‚ which she explained was previously $100 and stricter penalties for retail theft.She even had not one but two soundbites praising this decision with a motorcycle shop owner fretting thieves have thought they can grab whatever they want and then the aforementioned Coral Gables chief saying hed able to make stronger cases against these repeat offenders and also kind of giving other diversionary sentences to people who are facing felonies.Stating the obvious retail theft has become a growing trend across the country and a National Retail Federation statistic such crimes cost consumers $112 billion in 2022‚ Adan briefly alluded to California being the worst such state‚ but didnt point out which party controls the state.Tossing back to the co-hosts‚ she threw a bone to Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY): Meantime‚ last month in New York‚ the governor there announced a $45 million plan to fight back against organized retail crime theft.To see the relevant transcript from April 11‚ click expand.ABCs Good Morning AmericaApril 11‚ 20247:01 a.m. Eastern [TEASE][ON-SCREEN HEADLINE: Strict New Penalties; Porch Pirate Crackdown]ROBIN ROBERTS: Porch pirate crackdown. Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill to make the Sunshine State the latest to raise penalties for stealing packages from outside homes as well as for retail theft. Melissa Adan is in Miami with more. Good morning‚ Melissa.MELISSA ADAN: Good morning‚ Michael. So‚ the state of Florida is actually going to make it a felony if you steal $40 or more worth of property. The police chief here in Coral Gables tells me he welcomes this news‚ as he sees hundreds of these cases here in his city and he hopes that these stiffer criminal charges make a difference. This morning‚ they are the brazen thieves striking in broad daylight and in the night. This porch pirate in Sacramento disguised as a trash bag captured stealing a package. Some homeowners like this one‚ have had enough‚ using a decoy package to catch this alleged thief.CARLOS MEIJIA [TO PORCH PIRATE]: Yo! Yo!ADAN: In Florida‚ the governor cracking down. A new law going into effect this October. If you steal property worth more than $40‚ it will be considered a felony.DESANTIS: Someones going to have hell to pay for stealing it.ADAN: The law‚ replacing an already existing one. This time‚ lowering the stolen property value from $100 to $40. It also includes stricter penalties for retail theft.WMR OWNER BOB BREWSTER: Everything in our store is a candy store for a criminal‚ things they can grab‚ sell fast and then take from us.ADAN: In Coral Gables‚ the police chief welcoming the law‚ sharing these videos of thieves in action.CORAL GABLES‚ FL POLICE DEPARTMENT CHIEF EDARD HUDAK: Were able to make stronger cases against these repeat offenders and also kind of giving other diversionary sentences to people who are facing felonies.ADAN: Its a growing trend across the country‚ with at least nine other states making porch pirating a felony. And thats not all. According to the National Retail Federation‚ organized retail crime cost consumers $112 billion in 2022. The state topping the list? California. A proposed bill there calling for repeat shoplifters to serve jail time after a third conviction. Meantime‚ last month in New York‚ the governor there announced a $45 million plan to fight back against organized retail crime theft. Guys?ROBERTS: All right‚ Melissa. Our thanks to you.

Pro-Palestinian radical threatens to ';murder'; Calif. city council‚ video shows: ';Jesus probably would';ve killed you himself';

A hate-filled activist in California unleashed a torrent of invectives during a recent city council meeting‚ threatening to ";murder"; the members and the mayor and insisting that ";Jesus probably would';ve killed you himself.";Members of United Liberation Front‚ a group of pro-Palestinian radicals‚ have lately been attending the bi-weekly city council meetings in Bakersfield‚ California. They demand the city adopt or at least introduce a resolution supporting a ceasefire in Gaza‚ and they have often become disruptive as the council thus far has refused to cooperate.At the meeting on Wednesday evening‚ one ULF member‚ 28-year-old Riddhi Patel‚ escalated the hostility between the group and the council even further when she impugned city leaders during two separate speeches.At first‚ she griped about the resolution issue‚ claiming that the councilmembers and mayor were all ";horrible human beings"; who could not care less about ";oppression"; in Palestine or any other similarly oppressed ";country‚"; let alone ";the oppression occurring"; in the U.S.Patel also pointed to those around the globe who support ";violent revolution against their oppressors."; ";I hope one day somebody brings a guillotine and kills all of you motherf***ers‚"; she spat as she walked away from the podium the first time.At some point‚ a then-bespectacled Patel returned to the podium and wailed on the council and mayor for installing metal detectors near the entrance to City Hall. She claimed the metal detectors served no purpose other than to ";criminalize"; those attempting to hold leaders ";accountable."; She also accused officials of escalating the violence and sometimes even of letting their constituents ";die.";";You guys want to criminalize us with metal detectors? We';ll see you at your house‚"; she said in closing.";We';ll murder you."; (@) Patel then attempted to return to her seat‚ and the person entrusted with managing the meeting appeared to ignore Patel';s violent comments and awkwardly tried to carry on as though nothing had happened. However‚ Mayor Karen Goh interrupted the proceedings‚ claiming Patel had made a ";threat"; and asking officers to ";escort"; her out accordingly.Patel was not only made to leave the premises. She was arrested and charged with 16 felonies: eight counts of threatening with intent to terrorize and eight counts of threatening elected public officials. She remains in custody on a bond of at least $1 million.Some of her ULF comrades have already tried to distance themselves from her. Maria Quinonez‚ who also attended the meeting on Wednesday‚ described Patel';s comments as ";shocking"; and insisted they ";in no way represent those of us who continue to come to city council to demand a ceasefire and an end to the genocide [in Gaza].";The City of Bakersfield declined KERO';s request for comment since ";the matter is under investigation.";Like Blaze News? Will viewership tank once Caitlin Clark heads to the WNBA?

Womens basketball has now broken records‚ and some believe it has a lot more to do with Caitlin Clark than anything else.The television broadcast of the South Carolina-Iowa game averaged 18.9 million viewers and peaked at 24.1 million‚ which is the most views ever recorded for a men or womens college basketball game on an ESPN platform.Shes brought a bunch of eyes to womens college basketball‚ Jeffy tells Pat Gray‚ who adds‚ Its hard for me to believe. The most-watched basketball game of any kind?While its an impressive feat‚ neither Gray or Jeffy believe the viewership will continue once Clark moves on to the WNBA.In the future‚ without Caitlin‚ you know there will be a few more eyes brought to womens basketball‚ Jeffy says.Gray wonders if they will stay there‚ and Jeffy predicts‚ No way.Even the vice president has gotten in on the madness by recently feigning interest in womens basketball‚ claiming that womens teams were not allowed to have brackets until 2022.A bit of a history lesson‚ do you know that the womens teams were not allowed to have brackets until 2022? Think about that‚ Kamala Harris said‚ despite being wrong.People used to say‚ Ah‚ womens sports‚ whos interested? She added.Well check back in with you next year after Caitlins gone‚ Gray laughs.Want more from Pat Gray?To enjoy more of Pat';s biting analysis and signature wit as he restores common sense to a senseless world‚ subscribe to BlazeTV the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America‚ defend the Constitution‚ and live the American dream.
