A surprising rise in the U.S. unemployment rate last month has rattled financial markets and set off new worries about the threat of a recession - but it could also prove to be a false alarm.

Kelly Ripa shared a lipstick trick with her Instagram followers weeks ago, showing them how she achieves a full lip look via a mini tutorial video. “No, I didn’t get lip fillers. This is the lip trick, you monsters,” her caption read. Actress Bernadette Peters attempted to recreate the makeup look using Ripa’s tips but ended up with a comical result. She made sure to narrate her experience on a recent episode of Live With Kelly And Mark, noting that she looked like a clown after her first attempt. She also credited youngsters on social media for inspiring the idea even though their liner application is too extreme for her. Instagram Fans thoughts on Ripa’s lipstick trick Like Peters, some of Ripa’s followers deemed the technique impractical. “The way that I just watched this entire thing like I need to do this love a good tutorial even if it’s not applicable,” someone wrote. “This is NOT a ready to wear daily tip or trick…she was merely shutting up the critics that accused her of getting fillers,” another explained. Instagram Other fans were either impressed by Ripa’s beauty or interested in the makeup products she used to achieve the look. She was not spared from criticism either, with a few speculations of cosmetic surgery arising in the comments.
