Why haven't we seen this VERY telling study on police &; racism? Probably because the left covered it up

Author Coleman Hughes recently brought an argument in favor of colorblindness to the leftist panel of "The View‚" and they weren’t having it. “Your argument for colorblindness is something that the right has co-opted‚” one of "The View" cohosts said to Hughes. “You are being used as a pawn by the right‚” she added. The host then accused Hughes of saying that he was a conservative‚ which he denied. “I think it’s better‚ and it would be better for everyone‚ if we stuck to the topics rather than make it about me with no evidence that I’ve been co-opted‚” Hughes said. “Who’s the racist here?” Glenn Beck asks‚ astounded. “We have gotten to a place or we were at a place to where we wanted to see people for the content of their character‚ thought that was right‚ and in many cases‚ that’s the way we judged the world.” Hughes also mentioned a study brought up by Roland Fryer during a speech at the Free Press. The study was on police violence — and it didn’t fall in line with the left’s assumptions of bias in the police force. “I collected a lot of data‚” Fryer‚ who is also African-American‚ said. “We collected millions of observations on everyday use of force that wasn’t lethal. We collected thousands of observations on lethal force‚ and it was in this moment in 2016 that I realized people lose their minds when they don’t like the result.” Fryer noted that he found “some bias in the low-level uses of force everyday‚” which included “pushing up against cars and things like that.” “People seem to like that result‚” he said. “But we didn’t find any racial bias in police shootings‚” he continued‚ noting that he had eight full-time RAs that it took to do the study over the course of a year. When he found the result‚ he hired eight fresh ones — and the study came back the same. “I had colleagues take me to the side and say‚ ‘Don’t publish this‚ you’ll ruin your career‚’” Fryer explained. “I said‚ ‘What are you talking about?’ I said‚ ‘What’s wrong with it?’” Want more from Glenn Beck?To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling‚ thought-provoking analysis‚ and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos‚ subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America‚ defend the Constitution‚ and live the American dream.

Photo of slain‚ mostly naked Jewish woman Hamas paraded in truck on Oct. 7 part of prize-winning images — and outrage erupts

Outrage has erupted after the photo of a mostly naked‚ slain Jewish woman Hamas paraded in a truck amid the Oct. 7 terror attacks against Israel was included in a group of images that won a prestigious photography award. The victim was Shani Louk‚ a 23-year-old German-Israeli tattoo artist‚ and the Associated Press photo of Louk's body in the back of a truck surrounded by armed militants was the first image in a group of AP photos titled "Israel Hamas War" that won first place in Pictures of the Year International's Team Picture Story of the Year category. While the image in question was still available to view on the POY site Friday‚ it was not on the POY's Instagram page Friday‚ which is displaying dozens of winning images. But that Instagram image seems to have been captured before it apparently was deleted. The X post below shows a redacted version of it: — (@) "This premiere category recognizes the collaborative effort of a photography staff covering a single topic or news story‚" the Team Picture Story of the Year category description reads. "It is a narrative picture story that consists of images taken as part of a team effort to cover a single issue or news story."Here's the caption of Ali Mahmud's AP photo; Louk is mentioned in the last sentence: "The militant Hamas rulers of the Gaza Strip carried out an unprecedented‚ multi-front attack on Israel at daybreak Saturday‚ Oct. 7‚ 2023‚ firing thousands of rockets as dozens of Hamas fighters infiltrated the heavily fortified border in several locations by air‚ land‚ and sea and catching the country off-guard on a major holiday. Israel's retaliation after Gaza's militant Hamas rulers launched the unprecedented attack on Israel killing over 1‚200 Israelis and taking captive dozens‚ has been fierce for Gaza and it’s [sic] people. Heavy Israeli airstrikes on the enclave has killed thousands of Palestinians. Palestinian militants drive back to the Gaza Strip with the body of Shani Louk‚ a German-Israeli dual citizen‚ during their cross-border attack on Israel‚ Saturday‚ Oct. 7‚ 2023." The Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute at the Missouri School of Journalism runs the POY awards‚ self-described as the world’s oldest photojournalism competition‚ the New York Post reported. How are people reacting? As you might guess‚ a number of observers are outraged that the photo won an award: — (@) — (@) — (@) — (@) — (@) — (@) What did POY have to say?The Post reported that Pictures of the Year International officials said the selection of photos in question expressed “the greater emotions related to the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza.”“This year and every year‚ the photos in the competition are selected by a panel of professional journalists tasked with identifying compelling representations of the significant news events of the year‚” POY director Lynden Steele said in a statement‚ the paper said. “While we understand the reactions to the pictures‚ we also believe that photojournalism plays an important role in bringing attention to the harsh realities of war."Anything else?Fox News noted a Jewish Chronicle report saying‚ "In February‚ the families of Louk and other Nova massacre victims sued AP and Reuters for what they alleged to be the involvement of photojournalists employed by those agencies in the atrocities of October 7."But the AP released a statement Feb. 22 responding to the lawsuit from the National Jewish Advocacy Center‚ defending its coverage of the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attacks‚ Fox News reported. "AP had no advance knowledge of the October 7 attacks‚ nor have we seen any evidence — including in the lawsuit — that the freelance journalists who contributed to our coverage did‚" AP's vice president of corporate communication‚ Lauren Easton‚ wrote in a statement‚ according to the cable network. "Allegations like this are reckless and create even more potential danger for journalists in the region." Fox News added that the statement continued‚ "Documenting breaking news events around the world — no matter how horrific — is our job. Without AP and other news organizations‚ the world would not have known what was happening on October 7." Deputy's 10-year-old son sold dead dad's gun to classmate at Florida school for $300‚ causing lockdown; both students arrested

Two 10-year-old students were arrested for the sale of a gun at a Florida elementary school‚ according to police. The mother of the gun-dealing boy — who is a deputy — has been placed on administrative leave following the startling accusations coming to light. In February‚ the 10-year-old son of a deputy agreed to sell a handgun to a fellow student for $300. The gun reportedly belonged to the boy's father‚ who is now deceased. On Wednesday morning‚ the Country Oaks Elementary School was placed under a "brief" lockdown after the Hendry County Sheriff's Office received a tip about "a suspicious incident" on campus in Labelle‚ Florida."Hendry County School Deputies along with the Hendry County School District Employees and school staff quickly looked into the situation and together resolved it‚" the Hendry County Sheriff's Office said in a statement. Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden stated‚ "The school was placed on a brief lockdown. Employees and school staff quickly resolved it. This is an isolated incident and I want to assure everyone that at no time were the students‚ staff‚ and school administration in danger."Law enforcement reportedly discovered ammunition in the backpack of the boy who purchased the gun.The Hendry County Sheriff's Office said the gun was later located in the backyard under a shed of the boy who purchased the firearm. Police said they also found a bag containing approximately 74 grams of marijuana near the gun. Both boys were arrested. The 10-year-old boy was charged with the purchase of a firearm by a minor‚ unlawful possession of a firearm by a minor‚ possession of a firearm on school property‚ and possession of marijuana over 20 grams. The deputy's son was hit with charges of selling a firearm to a minor‚ unlawful possession of a firearm by a minor‚ possession of a firearm on school property‚ and grand theft of a firearm. The mother of the boy who sold the gun is a Hendry County deputy. She was placed on administrative leave pending an administrative investigation. Since their arrests‚ both 10-year-old students have been in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice. Hendry County Superintendent Michael Swindle said‚ "It's heartbreaking. We focus on education‚ but society has gotten us to a place where‚ we don’t know what led us to this in this child’s life‚ but this is a very sad situation." California grandfather shot dead in front of granddaughter after answering front door‚  $30‚000 reward offered to find killer

A California grandfather was gunned down after answering his front door. The beloved husband was murdered right in front of his granddaughter‚ according to police. After not being able to track down the killer for months‚ law enforcement is now offering a considerable reward to bring the murderer to justice. Hector Ascencio Sr. was at his home with his granddaughter around 9 p.m. on Sept. 16‚ 2023‚ in the South Gate neighborhood of Los Angeles‚ California. Ascencio heard a knock at the door while his 10-year-old granddaughter was sitting in the living room nearby‚ KABC-TV reported. When the 57-year-old grandfather answered the door‚ he was shot dead by the killer. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department noted that Ascencio's granddaughter "witnessed" her grandfather's murder. The murder suspect immediately fled the crime scene‚ allegedly speeding off in a dark-colored 4-door vehicle. It is unknown whether there were any other people in the vehicle. Law enforcement has yet to track down Ascencio's killer after months on the hunt. Investigators do not have a motive for the senseless murder. Hector's family said the grandfather didn't have any enemies and they are still shocked by the murder. Los Angeles Supervisor Janice Hahn said in a statement‚ "Hector was in his own home with his family when someone savagely took his life. His granddaughter watched Hector die. We need to bring his killers to justice as soon as possible‚ and I ask for the public’s help."On Thursday‚ the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the City of South Gate both authorized a $30‚000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect who killed the grandfather. "If you saw something or you were with the person just speak up. It’s not right. Why did they shoot him? He just opened the door and just took him like that‚" said Andy Ascencio‚ one of Hector's sons.Anyone with information regarding the murder is urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-550 (Attention Detective Esteban Soliz or Detective Mike Rivas). Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477) or online at lacrimestoppers.org. New base building and FPS game has mixed reviews but lots of players

Outpost: Infinity Siege seems like it should be a good time. The newly launched game combines Destiny 2 and Armored Core 6 style sci-fi action with base building and tower defense in a manner that looks‚ from a distance at least‚ like it should be pretty enjoyable. It seems like players agree that the game's premise is enticing‚ as Outpost has attracted a strong enough user base to trend on Steam‚ but‚ unfortunately‚ a lot of those same players have been leaving fairly disappointed reviews after checking it out. New anime multiplayer game is blowing up on Steam and available free

Sometimes‚ a game comes out of nowhere and rockets up the charts on Steam. The latest example of this is Holo X Break‚ a free beat 'em up based on Japanese virtual YouTuber agency Hololive Production. Launched today‚ the game is already doing very well on Valve's platform thanks to its mix of side scrolling action that hearkens back to classic arcade games and colorful anime style aesthetics‚ not dissimilar from Persona 3 Reload‚ Genshin Impact‚ and‚ in turns‚ Sea of Stars. It doesn't hurt either that it's completely free to play. Continue reading New anime multiplayer game is blowing up on Steam and available free
