Instead, they speculated about what the spinoff could look like. One idea that Sweetin has been particularly fond of involves imagining the original characters living together in a retirement community years down the road. She likens the concept to a Golden Girls-style sitcom, where the show would center on Stephanie, Kimmy, and D.J. in their old age with humor. Barber seemed to agree, pointing out that longtime fans would likely prefer to see more of the original cast rather than a newer generation. Sweetin noted how much time had passed between the original Full House and Netflix’s Fuller House, suggesting that perhaps another 10 to 15 years could be the right window to revisit the characters meaningfully. While nothing is official, a Fuller House spinoff idea has caught attention. Bob Saget’s passing in 2022 would certainly make any future project feel different, but fans would always love the Tanner family and Full House as a whole.
