The White House hosted quite a scene last week when President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance squared off against Ukrainian leader Volodymyrr Zelenskyy. After the explosive meeting, Zelenskyy was reportedly ushered out early, sparking praise from Americans who believe Ukraine already received too much U.S. taxpayer without receiving much appreciation for the largesse. For one cable TV personality, however, Trump and Vance came across as the losers. As Outkick reported: It was clear to anyone watching that Trump and Vance absolutely dominated Zelensky. Politics aside, the Ukrainian leader couldn’t have handled the situation worse. They both rolled him after he got an attitude. According to Breitbart, one such star was NFL legend Brett Favre: An otherwise normal Oval Office meeting with a foreign leader took a decided turn for the bizarre after Zelensky went after Vice President Vance following a seemingly innocuous comment about pursuing diplomacy to end the Ukraine- Russia war, as previous President Joe Biden had failed to do. Things derailed quickly from there as Zelensky continuously interrupted Trump and Vance while making a critical error in saying that the U.S. would soon “feel” the ramifications of the war. By the end of the conversation, both Trump and Vance had called the visiting Ukrainian head of state “disrespectful,” and Trump told Zelensky to leave. President Trump just signed an executive order to formally declare English as the official language of our great nation. The executive order is a reversal of a prior executive order signed by Bill Clinton that forced federally-funded agencies and establishments to accommodate people who do not speak English. Now, this requirement has been revoked. It is up to each individual agency to provide assistance to non-English speakers, or not. Fox News has more details on the EO: President Donald Trump on Saturday signed an executive order making English the official language of the U.S. The order revokes an executive order issued by former President Bill Clinton in 2000, “Improving Access Services for Persons with Limited English Proficiency,” that required federal agencies and recipients of federal funding to provide language assistance to non-English speakers. However, Trump’s order notes it does not “require or direct” any change in services provided by any agency. It will be up to agency heads to decide if any changes should be made. While English has been used as the country’s national language — seen in every historic governing document — the U.S. has never had an official language. “A nationally designated language is at the core of a unified and cohesive society, and the United States is strengthened by a citizenry that can freely exhange ideas in one shared language,” Trump wrote in the order. Vance, who brought his family to Sugarbush Resort in Warren, Vermont, was greeted by a half-mile gauntlet of protesters holding pro-Ukraine signs Saturday. There appeared to be hundreds in the crowd. The protesters carried signs calling Vance “Nazi scum,” accusing him of being a “traitor” and telling him to “go ski in Russia.” Other signs said “Trump serves Putin,” “Theocracy is not freedom” and “Stand with Ukraine.” But not all Green Mountain State skiers were upset with Vance’s visit, and one local skier complained about the demonstrations to Fox News Digital. “Those people protesting Vance are f—ing morons,” the skier said. A source also told Fox News that the Vances initially intended to stay at a four-star inn near the resort, but that they moved to an undisclosed location instead, though that decision preceded the protests. Vance, his wife Usha, and their three children drove to Sugarbush Resort in Warren, Vermont, Saturday morning only to see powdery snow, a sprawling resort, and a slew of angry protestors. One demonstrator held a sign that said “Vance is a traitor go ski in Russia.” Vermont government officials had prepared for his arrival prior to the trip. On Thursday, Republican Gov. Phil Scott released a statement telling Vermonters that “while we may not always agree, we should be respectful.” That didn’t stop locals from showing up en masse to condemn the VP’s recent behavior. Protestors held pride flags, pro-Ukraine posters, and anti-Vance signs. Sugarbush employee Lucy Welch even took to the resort’s website to rebuke Vance. Welch typically writes morning snow reports to inform visitors about the day’s conditions. But her Saturday morning message looked a little different when she told readers “we are living in a really scary and really serious time.” Welch wrote that the resort’s natural beauty is threatened by the Trump administration’s “direct attack” on national park employees and negligence regarding climate change. I am really scared for our future.” Protestors were told to leave and Vance was relocated to an undisclosed location. One thing isn’t sitting right with me about these protests… I have to ask: where did all the people come from? Keep in mind that JD Vance was visiting the small town of Sugarbush, Vermont, with a population of less than 2,000. Are we expected to believe that half of the whole town showed up to ruin JD Vance’s vacation? Or that so many people were angered by JD Vance putting America First yesterday that they dropped what they were doing as soon as they heard about the ski trip and headed to Sugarbush, VT?
