3 Years Ago Biden-Harris Replaced the Taliban with the Taliban

Today, we honor the 13 US men and women who died for America but died needlessly. The only President to attend the ceremony at Arlington was Donald Trump. Where were the others? Three years ago today, 13 American heroes were killed in the botched Harris-Biden Afghanistan withdrawal. We will NEVER FORGET their service and sacrifice. Tim Walz, Who Mocks JD Vance For Going To Yale, Claimed Misleading Harvard Affiliation

When vice presidential candidate Tim Walz ran for Congress in 2006, he embellished a connection to Harvard University. The biographical embellishment is especially concerning considering Walz had routinely mocked GOP vice presidential candidate JD Vance for leaving poverty and attending Yale University. The misleading information was included in a biography Walz used to launch his 2006 campaign. “Harvard University offered Walz an opportunity to gain a new perspective on global education by teaching in the People’s Republic of China,” the biography said. Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. As The Washington Free Beacon reported, Walz’s congressional biography – published after Walz won his first election – said the same thing. A 2018 version of his biography said Walz’s teaching in China was the result of a “program at Harvard University,” according to the Free Beacon. Walz taught in China but has never been considered a Harvard student or alumnus. He taught through a program called WorldTeach, a nonprofit founded by Harvard undergraduates in 1986. It was once funded by Harvard’s Phillips Brooks House Association, which has been characterized as “a student-run community service group” by the Harvard Crimson. The PBHA provides resources to numerous nonprofit organizations and also makes it easier for Harvard students to obtain volunteer opportunities. WorldTeach, however, has never been an official Harvard program. Walz no longer mentions any Harvard connections in his current biographies. Walz has been traveling the country to campaign and, in doing so, has repeatedly mocked Vance for escaping poverty and attending Yale University. At one event last week, Walz seemingly insulted his former high school classmates in an attempt to mock Vance. “I had 24 kids in my high school class and none of them went to Yale,” Walz said, according to The Hill. “But I’ll tell you what, growing up in a small town like that, you learn to take care of each other.” Vance responded to the dig by saying he was proud of his accomplishments. “As you guys know, I grew up in a very poor family. I was raised by a grandmother who didn’t graduate from high school, much less from college, and I’m proud of the fact that she really worked her tail off, that she, you know, went to her grave fighting to give me opportunities,” Vance told Fox News. “I’m not ashamed of the fact that my grandmother sacrificed for me and I was able to live the American Dream.” WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘AM I RACIST?’ — A MATT WALSH COMEDY ON DEI “I’m proud of what I accomplished, and more importantly, I’m proud of all the people who sacrificed in order to give me a better life,” Vance said later in the program. “I would think Tim Walz would want to praise people who sacrificed to give their children and grandchildren a better life. Not put me down, but I guess this is the political order of the day. He’s going to attack me. That’s fine, but I’m proud of my family.” It’s not the first time Walz has embellished or misled about his life, nor is it the first time he has done so when it comes to teaching. Walz, a former high school teacher, repeatedly claimed or implied he had won “Teacher of the Year” awards,” leading many to believe he had won a statewide or national award. But Walz had won a local teacher of the year award and an additional award for ethics.

Columbia’s President Abandons Ship. Students Like Me Brace For Election Protests.

Columbia’s President Abandons Ship. Students Like Me Brace For Election Protests.

On August 14, Columbia President Minouche Shafik resigned after occupying the top seat for just over a year. Good riddance. Under her watch, protesters occupied Hamilton Hall and burned a student’s Israeli flag before assaulting him with rocks. Now, Columbia is restricting campus access for demonstrations and considering arrest authorization for its campus police. It’s not just Columbia either. After spending millions of dollars on property damages rather than limit students’ supposed “speech rights” during Israel-Hamas protests last semester, universities are now walking back their protest policies. This month it was revealed that Harvard banned encampments and chalking, and tax-payer-funded Indiana University is doing the same.  It’s not just Jewish students who are apprehensive about this fall. We’re excited to vote in our first presidential election, but we’re fed up with fringe students who physically threaten us to enforce a campus culture of intimidation. Eli Noam, a Columbia Garrett Professor of Public Policy and Business Responsibility, was a student at Harvard during student protests in the 1960s. He says that the protests today are about bullying, not change. “In the ‘60s, we protested and challenged the university administration. Today’s students are looking for the administration to protect them from all kinds of evil things like harassment, discrimination, bullying, and so on.” 60% of students at least somewhat agree that the climate at their school prohibits them from expressing their opinions because others might find it offensive, according to a recent Knight Foundation-Ipsos poll. Only 43% of students feel that freedom of speech is “very secure or secure today” — a 30% drop since 2016. Our campus climate used to require a self-censorship tax we paid to eat lunch with friends, get invited to parties, and share notes. Now, for simply being Jewish, students are paying with their physical safety, like the UCLA student who was blocked from attending class by a Jewish Exclusion Zone, or the Yale student who was stabbed in the eye, or the student at my school who was assaulted in front of his Jewish fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau. All of us — despite our race, religion or creed — are taking notice. “I always thought that there had been a risk of harassment,” Noelle Delumpa, a junior at Xavier University, said. “I never really worried about physical violence, but I have started to worry with the uprising of the pro-Palestine protests, seeing how they are burning these flags and pushing people out of encampments if they don’t ‘belong.’” Anthony Rispo, a student at Columbia, agrees. “I don’t really feel that way for myself, per se, but when you start to add things up, it doesn’t look good.” “Look, Hamilton Hall was vandalized, pure and simple,” he continued. “The students that did it got off free.” Our worries are warranted. These unruly demonstrators plan to return with the same vigor as before. In response to the new policies at Columbia, protesters vandalized Columbia’s Chief Operating Officer’s home and propped up a sign on campus that read “We’re Back Bitches.” Harvard’s Out of Occupied Palestine group wrote, “Not reading that, Free Palestine” on Instagram. Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. As we get closer to November 5, all issues are fair game in our national conversation — except on campus. And as much as administrators claim they protect free speech, we know our schools don’t have our backs. Just ask Macy Gunnell, a junior at St. Mary’s College, who advocated for the reversal of a policy that would have admitted transgender women to her all-women’s college. When she rallied alumni, family and friends to boycott the school in protest of the policy, she didn’t get the same leniency universities afforded pro-Hamas protesters. “I was threatened with my life,” Gunnell said. “I locked my door and had my phone by hand, ready to call the police if necessary. People were spreading my room number online, which definitely did not help either.” Instead of defending Macy’s speech rights, Administrators idly watched as students threatened her safety. The recent federal injunction against the University of California, Los Angeles and Trump’s promise to crack down on college anti-Semitism are signs of hope. But sadly I predict this fall will be no different. “Ultimately, they [the protesters] are prepared to break the rules, whatever the rules are, as part of a process to create attention, noise, and victimhood,” Prof. Noam said. “Now, the university administration believes that if they’re flexible and show that they’re nice guys, somehow everyone will be friends. I’m just not sure if that’s the reality.” Protesters emboldened by the fecklessness of administrators will dominate the discourse and dox anyone who dares dissent. The Israel-Palestine conflict, immigration, and abortion are all hot-button issues this year. As the election season evolves, we all are nervously suppressing our beliefs because we know we’re next. * * * Daniel Idfresne is a junior at Syracuse University. ‘Don’t F*** S*** Up’: Quentin Tarantino Says Kamala Risks Losing If She Takes Questions

Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino believes Kamala Harris could “f*** s*** up” if she gives in to pressure to hold a news conference or agrees to a sit-down interview during the race for the presidency. Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, has been criticized for avoiding the media since being tapped as the Democratic Party’s new presidential candidate. The “Pulp Fiction” director talked politics with Bill Maher during a recent episode of his “Club Random” podcast.  The host pointed out that Harris would never talk to him, to which Tarantino replied that there was “no reason” for the Democratic nominee to appear on Maher’s show before the election. Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. Quentin Tarantino joins the list of Democrats saying Kamala shouldn’t take questions because it could hurt her chances of winning — which raises the question, how incompetent or extreme do they think she is that answering questions could make her lose? pic.twitter.com/JN99kDx54f — Ian Miller (@ianmSC) August 25, 2024 Maher shot back, saying he represents the middle-ground voters who Harris should be targeting because the far-Left Democrats are already voting for her.   Tarantino said this isn’t a “normal election cycle” where “you have a year to set your case” He said, “I think they’re just all about winning the f***ing election, all right, and the easiest path to winning the election. Look, you can talk about maybe she should have had more guts about this or that and the other but we’re the f***ing president. And Trump’s not the president, and we’re the f***ing president, and now it’s gonna be about this.” “This is about f***ing winning,” Tarantino says again. “What most people don’t give the Democrats enough credit for, but we give the Republicans credit for, is like no, sometimes it’s just about f***ing winning. And it doesn’t matter how we look at this moment.” “It’s a mad f***ing dash and she is running, and she’s not stopping to stumble. … I’m gonna vote for her f***ing anyway, no matter what she says in a stupid f***ng interview, so don’t f*** s*** up,” Tarantino added. The interview clip started circulating on X, with many users reposting and wondering why Harris’s supporters are so terrified of her going off script or taking questions, even from journalists on her side. Rare Copy Of “Lord Of The Rings” Valued At A Whopping $12K

For decades, the Lord of the Rings series has proven to be magical. There’s magic in the stories, of course, but the real magic is the series’ ability to unite people. That said, few fans have bragging rights quite like this man on Antiques Roadshow. Not only does he have a 1972 copy of The Lord of the Rings, but he also has a signed copy from the author himself. This fact alone is amazing. But it’s really the details that make this story so incredible. As the man explains on the show, he received the book from his parents on his 12th or 13th birthday. As luck would have it, soon after, his parents were given the chance to get the book signed… learn more from the man himself in the video below. Man Tells Story of How He Got a Signed Copy of The Lord of the Rings — and Discovers Its Worth That’s right — this man’s parents had a friend who had their own friend who knew J.R.R. Tolkien. So well, in fact, that they were able to get this child his very own signed copy. Overwhelmed by this kind gesture, the boy wrote a letter of thanks to Tolkien. Sadly, the author passed soon after. Still, even then he got a response from his publisher, letting the boy know Tolkien had read the letter before passing. With all things considered, this prized possession is estimated to be worth $12,000. Still, if you ask most of the people in the comment section of this video, they’ll say it’s priceless. “I would keep it. Invaluable especially with the personal letter,” one person shares, with another adding, “Bro knows exactly what it’s worth with that nod.” Although we don’t know for sure whether or not this man chose to sell the book, the official Antiques Roadshow account did share that, “Most of our guests do end up keeping their treasures!” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here! Precious: Teeny-Tiny Kitten Snuggles Up To Golden Retriever On Couch

Could there be anything cuter than a golden retriever and a kitten who are best friends? One pet owner caught the absolute sweetest footage of these two animals cuddling on the couch, and it will literally make your heart melt! This adorable clip proves that cats and dogs really can get along with each other. The way that this kitten crawled into the golden retriever’s lap, they almost seemed like parent and child! In the video, the dog was minding their own business on the couch when a tiny cat decided to join them. Not content to lay down nearby, the creature climbed right on top of the larger animal. The kitten found a cozy spot curled up in the space between the golden retriever’s front and back legs. It was a perfect fit! View this post on Instagram A post shared by Brown Hiking Trails (@brownhikingtrails) As soon as the little cat got settled, the dog started licking their face affectionately. Then, the golden retriever promptly resumed napping with the kitten nestled against them! Meet this family’s deer friends. This video was uploaded by Brown Hiking Trails, whose social media accounts are all about their animal friends. Often, their posts include local deer as well as pets! In fact, The Dodo even shared a video about them on X a couple of years ago. It seems that the family’s golden retriever has become excellent friends with the area’s wildlife! Golden retriever's been best friends with this deer for 11 years — watch them grow up together pic.twitter.com/vS0M9U5iDp— The Dodo (@dodo) November 29, 2022 Lorrie Brown, one of the humans behind Brown Hiking Trails, told the media outlet the sweet story of how her household befriended a deer named Buttons. Apparently, this poor animal was hit by a car and needed help recovering. So, Lorrie and her family volunteered to nurse the creature back to health. Although Buttons now lives in the wild, she remains close to the people who rescued her. In fact, she often knocks on the family’s door with her hooves! Obviously, the Browns’ friendly dog is one of Buttons’ besties. That’s one of the things we love about golden retrievers — they seem to get along with everyone, from little kittens to wild animals! “My Next Adventure… Is Dying” Jane Goodall’s Surprisingly Insightful Take

“My Next Adventure… Is Dying” Jane Goodall’s Surprisingly Insightful Take

At 90 years old, Jane Goodall has gone on many adventures in her life. Her work as an ethologist and primatologist has, quite literally, transformed the way we understand animal behavior and personality. Her work has also inspired countless others to pursue their own path in similar work. In fact, the Jane Goodall Institute exists to carry on her work long after she’s gone. But if you ask this infamous person herself, she will say she is not quite done with having adventures of her own. You might be thinking, “What kind of adventure can someone have once they reach the age of 90?” First, more than you may think. But also, Jane Goodall recently shared that she views death itself as a type of adventure. This may sound a bit morbid, but Goodall finds a way to express her views in a way that actually feels hopeful. See for yourself in the video below. While there are plenty of reasons to find the idea of dying scary, Goodall’s point of view is giving people pause. Rather than seeing the other side of death as a terrifying unknown, she views it as the next big adventure. This is something she believes whether there is “nothing” or “something” after death. Though, if you do ask for her opinion, Goodall believes there is something waiting for us. Jane Goodall’s Unique View on What Happens After Death is Surprisingly Hopeful No matter what you believe, though, there is something oh-so comforting about Goodall’s wise, insightful words. “Life is death’s opening act,” someone poetically shares in the comment section of the video, with another adding, “This women speaks facts and wisdom the whole planet should hear.” “I met her and was in awe of her clear understanding of life,” a third person shares. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here! The post “My Next Adventure… Is Dying” Jane Goodall’s Surprisingly Insightful Take appeared first on InspireMore.
