Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA), who is running for re-election against the GOP’s Dave McCormick, accepted a $5,000 donation from a group pushing for more EB-5 visas, which have been used by Chinese nationals to enter the U.S. in high numbers. Federal Election Commission filings show that the Immigrant Investors Association/Invest in the USA PAC donated to Casey in June. Casey is the only Senate candidate to have accepted a donation from the group, the New York Post reported. “The overhauled EB-5 program, which requires a minimum investment of $800,000 for certain projects, has drawn the attention of Chinese nationals,” The Wall Street Journal noted in August 2023, adding, “In May, Florida Gov.
