Biden Apologizes For Calling Alleged Laken Riley Murderer An ‘Illegal’: They ‘Built The Country’

President Joe Biden apologized over the weekend for calling the illegal alien who allegedly murdered a young woman in Georgia an “illegal” during his recent State of the Union speech. The young woman — 22-year-old Georgia nursing student Laken Riley — was brutally murdered allegedly by Venezuelan national Jose Ibarra‚ who is reportedly an active gang member. Biden faced significant blowback from Democrats for correctly calling Ibarra an “illegal‚” which comes as the party tries to court the millions of illegal aliens who have entered the U.S. under Biden. “I noticed the look of surprise on your face when you walked into the chamber and you saw Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. It was priceless‚” MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart said to Biden during an interview that aired on Satuday. “You feigned shock at seeing her. But during your response to her heckling of you‚ you used the word ‘illegal’ when talking about the man who allegedly killed Laken Riley.” “Undocumented‚” Biden interrupted. “An undocumented person.” “And I shouldn’t have used ‘illegal‚’ it’s undocumented‚” Biden claimed‚ even though the correct legal terminology is‚ in fact‚ “illegal alien.” “And look‚ when I spoke about the difference between Trump and me‚ one of the things I talked about at the border was his‚ the way he talks about vermin‚ the way he talks about these people polluting the blood‚” he continued. “And I talked about what I’m not going to do‚ what I won’t do‚ I’m not gonna treat any‚ any‚ any of these people with disrespect. Look‚ they built the country. The reason our economy is growing. We have to control the border and more orderly flow‚ but I don’t share his view at all.” “So you regret using that word?” Capehart pressed. “Yes‚” Biden responded. Atlantic Writer Blames Slow Electric-Vehicle Sales on Donald Trump

Atlantic Writer Blames Slow Electric-Vehicle Sales on Donald Trump

Andrew Moseman goes into some detail in Friday's Atlantic magazine as to why electric vehicle sales have slowed down recently to the extent that he is now calling 2024 a lost year for EVs as reflected in the title‚ "America’s Lost Year for Electric Cars." Despite Moseman providing us with a myriad of obvious reasons why consumers appear to be rejecting EVs‚ he falls back on the easy all-purpose explanation for liberals to blame for whatever the woes: Trump's fault! First let us see how precisely Moseman blames Orange Man Bad for slowing EV sales. Then there is the election‚ the outcome of which may compound this lost year. Donald Trump has made electric-car antagonism part of his campaign‚ and his victory would sap federal support for electrification just as EVs are maybe ready to turn a corner in 2025. During an election year‚ “I think there’s a natural tendency [for car companies] to hedge‚ just because we don’t know how things are going to shake out‚” Cantor told me. Car companies that charged ahead with electric models under Joe Biden might rethink their ambitions in the case of a Trump win‚ Cantor said. (The CEO of Stellantis‚ the parent company of Chrysler and Jeep‚ has basically said as much.) This just underlines that the car companies went down this road because they were forced. On a related note‚ Moseman also blames pickup truck buyers: Politics could stymie the advance of EVs in other ways. Rapson’s third batch of American buyers after the enthusiasts and pragmatists is the holdouts—people who might reject electric cars outright. That includes millions of potential buyers of electrified Ford and Chevy trucks who‚ for reasons political and mechanical‚ have shown little interest in battery-powered pickups. “Pickup buyers do not want electric trucks‚” McDonald said. Their reluctance casts doubt on the goal of total electrification put forth by politicians and car execs. Yes‚ place the blame upon Trump and redneck pickup truck people‚ yet Moseman himself provides more than enough real reasons for the slowdown in EV sales. The demise of the Bolt was supposed to mark the end of the beginning. In place of the Bolt—GM’s first mass-market EV—the company had planned to unleash a fleet of more advanced EVs early this year. It hasn’t gone as anticipated: Software bugs‚ battery problems‚ and factory delays have plagued the cars. The battery-powered Equinox SUV has yet to go on sale‚ and its larger sibling‚ the Blazer‚ was released before GM suspended sales. You can buy the fully electric version of the Silverado pickup truck—but demand has been so lukewarm that GM has delayed production at a factory that‚ you guessed it‚ used to make the Bolt. Right now‚ America’s transition to electric cars is stuck between stages. For electric cars to accelerate toward world dominance‚ car companies must sell millions of EVs to Americans with no attachment to the idea of battery-powered driving‚ not only to the early adopters who had few good options beyond Tesla and the Bolt. Now there are at least 50 models available‚ and nearly every large carmaker has at least one true EV on the market. But few of them are affordable enough for many car buyers‚ and the next generation of EVs—the ones designed to entice people who have not yet gone electric—isn’t coming soon enough. As a result‚ 2024 is shaping up to be a lost year for EVs‚ with little movement toward our supposed all-electric future. Yeah‚ so by Moseman's own admission the higher prices for EVs over gasoline powered cars would be a good reason for the slow sales of the former. A much bigger reason than because Donald Trump said mean things about EVs. And beside price we have more from Moseman as to why consumers would need to think twice before purchasing an EV such as rapid depreciation and loss of driving range: The current slate of EVs isn’t winning them over. Tesla’s Model Y‚ the top-selling EV by far‚ starts at $44‚000. Popular models such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E‚ the Volkswagen ID.4‚ and the Hyundai Ioniq5 are in the same ballpark‚ and many early entrants in the EV race cost much more. Meanwhile‚ the gas-powered Honda CR-V that rules the suburbs starts at $29‚500; a Toyota Prius starts for even less. Without the Chevy Bolt‚ a bargain-EV shopper has few options beyond the uncertain market for used electric cars. They can be had for cheap‚ because older EVs are depreciating fast. But driving range declines as EVs age for the same reason your smartphone battery fades. So there are very real reasons to not purchase EVs besides Trump but since this article appeared in Atlantic magazine‚ it is necessary to invoke the Orange Boogeyman as an explanation for slow EV sales.

Pentagon says no evidence of aliens or covert government UFO programs‚ but are developing 'Gremlin' system to track UAPs

The Pentagon said there is no evidence of extraterrestrial lifeforms visiting Earth and claimed the U.S. government does not conduct covert operations with recovered UFO spacecraft. The Pentagon released a 63-page report on Friday titled: "Report on the Historical Record of U.S. Government Involvement with Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)."Unidentified anomalous phenomena is a relatively new term for UFOs that includes mysterious objects from the sky‚ underwater‚ or in space. The Pentagon's All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office examined data regarding UAPs from 1945 through October 2023."To date‚ AARO has not discovered any empirical evidence that any sighting of a UAP represented off-world technology or the existence of a classified program that had not been properly reported to Congress‚" the report read. "Investigative efforts determined that most sightings were the result of misidentification of ordinary objects and phenomena‚" the AARO declared. "Although many UAP reports remain unsolved‚ AARO assesses that if additional‚ quality data were available‚ most of these cases also could be identified and resolved as ordinary objects or phenomena."The Pentagon addressed suspicions that the U.S. government has covert programs attempting to reverse-engineer spacecraft from other worlds. Pentagon press secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said in a statement‚ "AARO assesses that all of the named and described alleged hidden UAP reverse-engineering programs provided by interviewees either do not exist; are misidentified authentic national security programs that are not related to extraterrestrial technology exploitation; or resolve to a disestablished program."Ryder added that the "rigorous analytic and scientific" investigation found no evidence that the "U.S. government and various contractors have recovered and are hiding off-world technology and biological materials." The AARO plans to publish a second volume of the report later this year that covers information gathered after November 2023‚ and will include interviews with current and former U.S. government personnel regarding UAPs.There have been government reports and congressional testimony that hint at the possibility of UFOs existing. In June 2021‚ the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence published its preliminary assessment of UAPs that said 143 UAP encounters were unexplainable. In the same month‚ the head of NASA said he didn't think we were alone in the universe. Tennessee Republican Rep. Tim Burchett said he believed UAPs to be "something that is out of our galaxy" and claimed that the government "covered up" Roswell. Last July‚ a former intelligence official claimed the government is hiding a top-secret program focused on reverse-engineering a spacecraft from another planet. The UFO whistleblower is David Grusch – a former national reconnaissance officer representative for the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Task Force‚ a former member of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency‚ and an Air Force veteran. On Friday‚ the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office announced that it is developing a portable surveillance system to detect and document UAPs. Tim Phillips – the acting director of the AARO – told the DefenseScoop website‚ "We're working with some of the government labs‚ such as the Department of Energy labs‚ and we have a great partner with Georgia Tech. And what we’re doing is developing a deployable‚ configurable sensor suite that we can put in Pelican cases. We’re going to be able to pull it to the field to do a long-term [collection]."Phillips noted that the new sensors will utilize "hyperspectral surveillance" to attempt to capture UAP encounters‚ which contain information across a wide range of wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum."If we have a national security site and there are objects being reported that trend within restricted airspace‚ or within a maritime range‚ or in the proximity of one of our spaceships‚ we need to understand what that is‚" Phillips continued. "And so that’s why we’re developing a sensor capability that we can deploy in reaction to reports."Like Blaze News? Former beauty contestant ignites firestorm by attacking TikTok fishing star's southern accent‚ doing manual labor: 'American women are men'

A former beauty pageant contestant turned journalist and political commentator ignited a firestorm by attacking a TikTok fishing star for her southern accent and interest in construction. Sameera Khan is a former Bernie Sanders supporter and now an "anti-woke" social media commentator. Khan was a Washington correspondent for the Kremlin-backed RT‚ but had gotten into trouble with the Russian media outlet in 2018 after she posted memes praising Joseph Stalin's gulags that the state news network deemed as "uninformed and misguided." Khan claimed she resigned from RT a week before the controversy. Khan sparked outrage again this week when she attacked an outdoors social media influencer and American women in general. Khan denigrated Hannah Barron – an Alabama-based social media star known for her content revolving around hunting‚ fishing‚ and firearms. Barron is known as "The Catfish Girl" for her skills at noodling – the act of catching fish with only one's bare hands.Barron has over 2.1 followers on TikTok‚ 1.4 million followers on Instagram‚ and more than 744‚000 subscribers on YouTube.Khan reposted a TikTok video from Barron's TikTok account showing Hannah doing a tour of a house being constructed by Barron‚ her father‚ and her boyfriend. Khan mocked Barron and American women by saying‚ "This accent needs to be illegal and women should be banned from doing manual labour like this. There is NOTHING feminine about American women. American women are literally men." — (@) She added‚ "Lebanese women are literally perfect. And they are actually feminine‚ unlike estrogen-deficient American women who hold the record for highest testosterone levels in the world."Khan then posted a video of Barron noodling with the caption: "High-value American men should become passport bros. Don’t they deserve better than the filth they are limited to in their own country…? Do you agree or disagree? What are your thoughts?"The former beauty pageant contestant wrote on her X account with over 232‚000 followers that the United States is under a "tomboy occupation." Khan claimed that any man attracted to Hannah "would be embarrassed to be seen with her in public." — (@) The post on the X social media platform triggered an immediate backlash from netizens. Conservative political activist Lauren Witzke: "These kind of women give birth to sons who could conquer any Middle Eastern country overnight. Don’t hate on White Southern Women."Libertarian activist Spike Cohen: "We need to stop all immigration of people who agree with Samirah until we can figure out what the hell is going on."Writer Emily Zanotti: "I knew we would get to 'if you like women you are literally gay' eventually‚ I just didn’t anticipate it would be this quickly. Idiots‚ if you want a homestead‚ your lady is gonna need to do more with her hands than feed a sourdough starter lol."Author Joey Jones: "Women who talk like this‚ and can do things like this are too busy being satisfied‚ fulfilled and loved to care about some rando with an X account."YouTuber Melonie Mac: "Adorable southern girl who enjoys renovating and fishing. Jealousy ain't cute‚ and this sweet young woman you're trying to drag looks like she's living her best life and likely has no issues whatsoever with prospects."British author Helen Pluckrose: "Men will not hear your spite‚ Samirah. They will be too busy falling in love with the woman who manages to combine a stunning figure‚ charisma‚ energy‚ an appreciation for construction‚ likability &; a warm‚ southern accent. I’m half in love with her myself."Cartoonist George Alexopoulos: "Useless princess who thinks a hard day's work is shopping with her father and/or husband's money and getting her nails done‚ jealous of American women who don't need makeup and can build houses."A user wrote: "She is beautiful‚ building a home‚ and promoting firearms. This is the productive south If you hate this you are miserable as it comes."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox.
