MSNBC Claims Supreme Court Ruling Could Make Trump 'King' of America

Following the long awaited Supreme Court decision regarding former President Trump’s limited immunity, the progressive media began yet another doomsday diatribe. On MSNBC’s 11th Hour host Stephanie Ruhle and her co-panelists hit the panic button, claiming that the case allowed for a president like Trump to become a “king,” that there are “practically no limits whatsoever,” and tht Trump “can do whatever he wants.” These claims, not only completely false, exemplify the fear mongering which permeated the media’s agenda. Ruhle began the panel speaking to former Deputy Assistant Attorney General Harry Litman, regarding the decision. Litman responding pessimistically, mourning what the ruling could possibly do to the indictments against Trump: It's somewhat more far-reaching and in particular to that point it just lops off big chunks of the indictment, and it's not at all clear that we have no sort of concrete guidance that obviously saves any part of the indictment. Trump has an argument to make in any context. The point that Andrew just raised, he will fight tooth and nail and say you can't even put on evidence because I would be immune here and they are really cryptic, but it's quite clear if he's acting in a way that can somehow be classified as part of Core Powers, he's immune and immune for a really, I would say, pernicious reason. They cannot look into his motives, which is the core, I think, of what we think he did wrong and the soul of the criminal eye.     Ignoring the fact that ruling did put limits on presidential immunity, Litman proclaimed: “It doesn't matter why he uses powers and that really does make him tantamount to a king.” As the interview continued, Ruhle took time to comment on Trump’s policies and accusing him of breaking the Emoluments Clause, stating, “Donald Trump has an even more wide-open lane, if he were to be president again, to mix his personal business interests with the possible official government role… We saw Ivanka get Chinese trademarks and of course Jared raising money from the Saudis. It infuriated people they talked about the Emoluments clause yet nothing happened.” In reality, there were no breaches of the Emoluments Clause. Trump’s kids were running the business and Trump wasn’t. The Emoluments cases brought against the Trump Hotel in D.C. were thrown out at both appellate and Supreme Court levels, both during and after his presidency. And it’s rather hypocritical of Ruhle to have issues with the private business deals of Trump’s children and family members when she and MSNBC defended Hunter Biden’s shady overseas business dealings; especially when his case, the jobs he held were in industries he had no expertise in. As a crowning fault, Susan Gasser, a New Yorker staff writer, denied the entirety of Justice Roberts’ opinion, claiming the potentiality of a future President Trump without any checks: It's a breathtaking decision and you can only imagine that Donald Trump, he is a maximizer. He will seek to push the limits, whatever the limits are, and now the Supreme Court has basically said there are practically no limits whatsoever. Of course, he's going to claim that basically any conduct that he engages in is ipso facto, official conduct, and therefore he can do whatever he wants. More misinformation and propaganda, as the liberal media continued to fear monger the public into following its agenda. The transcript is below, click “expand” to read: MSNBC The 11th Hour 7/1/2024 11:07:26 PM EST (...) STEPHANIE RUHLE: How does today's decision compare with what you expected to see? HARRY LITMAN: It's somewhat more far-reaching and in particular to that point it just lops off big chunks of the indictment, and it's not at all clear that we have no sort of concrete guidance that obviously saves any part of the indictment. Trump has an argument to make in any context. The point that Andrew just raised, he will fight tooth and nail and say you can't even put on evidence because I would be immune here and they are really cryptic, but it's quite clear if he's acting in a way that can somehow be classified as part of Core Powers, he's immune and immune for a really, I would say, pernicious reason, they cannot look into his motives, which is the core, I think, of what we think he did wrong and the soul of the criminal eye. It doesn't matter why he uses powers and that really does make him tantamount to a king.   RUHLE: Core powers, all right, guys, you know whatever the case maybe, I'm always going to try to connect it to money and power, so I want to talk the business impact, because now Donald Trump has an even more wide-open lane, if he were to be president again, to mix his personal business interests with the possible official government role. If you remember, early in his presidency, he claimed there could be no conflicts of interest for a president and then he steamrolled through his four years with the Trump hotel in DC, events at Doral, events at Mar-a-Lago, all different lobbyist groups, foreign governments booking up rooms, basically soft bribing him with paying his businesses. We saw Ivanka get Chinese trademarks and, of course, Jared raising money from the Saudis. It infuriated people they talked about the Emoluments Clause, yet nothing happened. And now he is going to have an even easier time if he were to be president, again. Susan, the irony of all this, it's reported today that the Trump family just inked a deal for Trump Tower Saudi Arabia   SUSAN GLASSER: But, of course they did, Steph. Look, it's a breathtaking decision and you can only imagine that Donald Trump, he is a maximizer. He will seek to push the limits, whatever the limits are, and now the Supreme Court has basically said there are practically no limits whatsoever. Of course, he's going to claim that basically any conduct that he engages in is ipso facto, official conduct, and therefore he can do whatever he wants.

Prosecutors attacked underage victims as prostitutes to sabotage 2006 case against Epstein, new transcripts appear to show

Prosecutors handling a grand jury trial proceeding against Jeffrey Epstein in 2006 may have sabotaged their own case by attacking two underage victims as prostitutes and criminals, newly released transcripts appear to show.On Monday, Circuit Judge Luis Delgado released about 150 pages of a transcript taken during Epstein's four-hour grand jury hearing in Palm Beach County in July 2006. Though grand jury transcripts are usually sealed permanently, Florida's Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a law earlier this year to ensure the public's access to grand jury transcripts in certain cases such as Epstein's.'Does her website also include pictures of her in skimpy attire, drinking alcohol and sexually provocative photos?'Delgado seemed eager to disseminate the transcripts, indicating it was necessary to preserve the integrity of the court. "For almost 20 years, the story of how Jeffrey Epstein victimized some of Palm Beach County’s most vulnerable has been the subject of much anger and has at times diminished the public’s perception of the criminal justice system," he wrote. "The details in the record will be outrageous to decent people. The testimony taken by the Grand Jury concerns activity ranging from grossly unacceptable to rape — all of the conduct at issue is sexually deviant, disgusting, and criminal."Delgado did not exaggerate. The transcripts appear to show former State's Attorney Barry Krischer and Lanna Belohlavek painting two victims as criminals and prostitutes. The first victim testified that she was just 14 years old when she first went to Epstein's mansion to give him a massage in exchange for $300. At Epstein's request, she allegedly stripped down to her underwear, gave him a massage, and then allowed him to use a vibrator on her for an extra $100.The girl also admitted that she lied and told Epstein she was 18. It is unclear how many encounters she may have had with Epstein. About a year after her initial visit to his mansion, the girl's stepmother found the money, learned the reason Epstein had given it to her, and reported the girl's claims to local police.Despite evidence that the girl was likely the victim of statutory rape and sexual grooming, prosecutors called her out as a criminal."You aware that you committed a crime?" prosecutor Belohlavek asked the girl during the grand jury hearing. The girl replied that she didn't realize at the time that what she had done was a crime but had since come to realize that it was. "Now, I guess it's prostitution or something like that," she said.A juror also asked the girl whether she knew "deep down" when she was going to Epstein's mansion that what she was doing was "wrong" and damaging to her "reputation." The girl replied that she did.The other victim who testified at the grand jury proceeding claimed that she had visited Epstein's mansion more than 100 times, and during the course of those visits, Epstein gradually convinced her to participate in more and more sexual activity in exchange for $200. She also received money and even a rental car for her personal use if she brought along other girls, she said."He told her, 'The younger, the better,'" Palm Beach Police Detective Joe Recarey testified at the hearing. The girl said Epstein knew she was 17 from the start of these visits. On the day before her 18th birthday, Epstein allegedly escalated their encounters to intercourse for the first time. "She screamed no," Recarey testified. So Epstein reportedly stopped and paid the girl $1,000.Once again, prosecutors appeared to impugn the girl's character."You understand that you in effect were committing prostitution yourself," one said.At various times during the hearing, Krischer and Belohlavek also harped on the girls' body piercings, their shoplifting escapades, their arrests for other alleged crimes, and how much money they made from Epstein. During the testimony of one investigator, one prosecutor even asked, "Does her [MySpace page] also include pictures of her in skimpy attire, drinking alcohol and sexually provocative photos?"'It is so sad, the number of victims Epstein was able to abuse because the State carried water for him when they had a chance to put him away.'Though the grand jury transcript does not reveal all the possible charges on which the grand jury could have indicted Epstein, the grand jury ultimately indicted him on a single count of solicitation of prostitution. In an agreement with federal prosecutors two years later, Epstein pled guilty to that original solicitation charge plus an additional count of soliciting a minor into prostitution. He served 13 months of an 18-month sentence in a low-security prison with almost daily work release, so he was able to return to his office on a regular basis. With the newly released transcripts, critics are once again appalled at the way prosecutors handled the initial case. Spencer Kuvin, who represented nine of Epstein's alleged victims, including one of the girls who testified before the grand jury, called it "despicable" and "atrocious.""They basically tanked their own case," he said."It just reaffirmed what we always knew was happening is that the state attorney was afraid to prosecute him, and that they tanked their own case by attacking their own witnesses during the grand jury proceeding," he added. "It was almost like the grand jury proceeding was an attempt to prosecute the teenagers and ignore Epstein."Brad Edwards, another attorney for some of Epstein's alleged victims, made similar comments, claiming prosecutors wanted the grand jury "to return minimal" charges against Jeffrey Epstein — "if any.""A fraction of the evidence was presented, in a misleading way, and the Office portrayed the victims as criminals," Edwards continued. "It is so sad, the number of victims Epstein was able to abuse because the State carried water for him when they had a chance to put him away."Detective Recarey died in 2018. Epstein then died the following year while awaiting federal trial in New York. Reports indicate he hanged himself in his prison cell.Krischer did not respond to a request for comment from the AP about the transcript but has previously defended his handling of the case. "No matter how my office resolved the state charges, the U.S. Attorney's Office always had the ability to file its own federal charges," he said in a statement in 2019.The Miami Herald attempted to reach Belohlavek for comment but was unsuccessful.Like Blaze News? Los Angeles man chases down suspects' car after robbery, rear-ends it into crash that kills one suspect, police say

California police said that a man who was targeted in a robbery used his car to chase down the suspects, rear-ended their vehicle, and caused a crash that killed one of the suspects. The astonishing sequence unfolded on Saturday evening after the 21-year-old victim was approached by a group of armed men at a gas station in Culver City and robbed, according to a police press release. 'One of the suspects was found hiding in the backyard of a home by a K9 unit.' The man chased after the suspects' white sedan in his Mercedes-Benz SUV, and some time later, rear-ended the car, forcing it to crash into a light pole near Adams Boulevard and West View Street. Police said they responded to calls about the car accident at about 5:28 p.m., and when they arrived, they found one of the suspects dead from his injuries in the crash. He was described only as a man in his thirties. Other suspects fled from the scene after the crash and fired a gun at the victim during their escape. One of the suspects was found hiding in the backyard of a home by a K-9 unit and taken into custody. Police said the victim stayed at the scene of the crash and cooperated with the police investigation. They did not say whether he was detained, but they did confirm that the case was being investigated as a homicide. The victim was not injured, and the police are still investigating the incident. Recent statistics from the LAPD show that violent crime has increased in Los Angeles by 2.9% while robberies have increased by 9.5%. Interim Los Angeles Police Chief Dominic Choi told a meeting of the Board of Police Commissioners that homicide had increased by a whopping 28.1% from 73 homicides through March compared to only 57 homicides in the same period the previous year. Some critics have blamed worsening crime on liberal criminal enforcement policies by District Attorney George Gascón, who was elected with the help of millions in donations from left-wing billionaire George Soros. Culver City is a city in Los Angeles County of about 40k residents. The average home in the city costs about $1.3 million, according to Zillow, while the average rent for an apartment with two bedrooms is $3,239, according to Apartments.com. Like Blaze News?
