Abortion rights activist Hadley Duvall claimed during a Monday morning MSNBC appearance that all women of childbearing age should realize that their “lives are at stake” going into the 2024 election. Duvall became an abortion activist after being raped at age 12 by her stepfather — who is now in prison — after which she became pregnant and miscarried. She sat alongside Vice President Kamala Harris and argued that every woman’s life was “at stake” if she did not have easy access to abortion — and that only re-electing President Joe Biden would ensure that. Hunter Biden‘s law license in Washington, D.C., has been suspended after the first son was found guilty on all charges in his federal gun trial in Delaware earlier this month. A D.C. Court of Appeals order on Tuesday said Biden is “suspended immediately from the practice of law … pending resolution of this matter” following his conviction on three felony counts that appear to be “serious crimes” as defined by D.C. Bar rules. Chief Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby, who signed the order, also said the Board on Professional Responsibility is “directed to institute a formal proceeding to determine the nature of the offense and whether it involves moral turpitude.” Biden has reportedly been a member of the D.C. bar since 2007, though CNN said that he has worked as an attorney in recent years as he sought income from other ventures, such as his 2021 memoir called “Beautiful Things” and his art career. A disciplinary office in the nation’s capital recommended that Biden’s law license be suspended a little more than a week after the 54-year-old was convicted of lying on paperwork for a revolver and owning the firearm while being a drug addict in 2018. Court records highlighted by the New York Post indicate that Biden also has a law license in Connecticut that has been placed on administrative suspension for a failure to pay a fee. However, The Washington Post noted that Biden probably will receive a lighter sentence because he is a first-time offender. Attorneys for Biden submitted a filing on Monday requesting a new trial while arguing that a federal appeals court did not give the trial court formal permission to proceed after dismissing his appeals, according to Reuters. President Joe Biden, who is running for a second term in the White House, has said he will not pardon his son or commute whatever sentence Hunter may receive. Hunter Biden is also facing a tax trial in California, which is set to begin in September. The indictments in gun and tax cases, which took shape after the collapse of a plea deal last year, are spearheaded by special counsel David Weiss.

Parts of the gag order against former President Donald Trump in his New York hush money case were lifted by Judge Juan Merchan on Tuesday, just two days before Trump is set to square off against President Joe Biden in the first debate of the election season. Merchan lifted sections of the gag order that prohibited Trump from speaking about witnesses in the case or jurors, who ultimately delivered a guilty verdict against the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, CNBC reported. Trump is still barred from making public statements about Manhattan District Attorney’s Office prosecutors and staff or court staff, including any of their family members. The gag order does not prohibit Trump from talking about Manhattan Democratic District Attorney Alvin Bragg since he is an elected official. Trump and Biden are set to take the stage in Atlanta on Thursday night for the first presidential debate, which will be hosted by CNN and moderated by CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. Trump was found guilty on all 34 felony charges of falsifying business records last month in a trial that the former president blasted as a political “witch hunt” and “election interference.” The 34 charges were centered on accusations of a scheme to cover up an alleged affair between Trump and porn actress Stormy Daniels. Trump has denied an affair ever happened. Trump was fined 10 times by Merchan for a total of $10,000 for violating the gag order during the trial. The judge also threatened to put Trump behind bars if he continued to violate the order. Trump suggested that spending time behind bars would be worth the “sacrifice,” saying, “our Constitution is much more important than jail.” Trump is scheduled to be sentenced on July 11, which comes just four days before the Republican National Convention kicks off in Milwaukee on July 15. Each of Trump’s 34 felony counts comes with a maximum of four years in prison, but the former president is expected to appeal the guilty verdict. Legal experts are also doubtful that Merchan will sentence Trump, the first former president to be convicted of felony crimes, to prison.

Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence shared an update on his wife after visiting her in the hospital on June 25th. The 78-year-old is suffering memory loss caused by a concussion.
