FLASHBACK: Jamie Dimon Says He Does NOT Expect a “Soft Landing” In The Economy

This is a flashback to a report we brought you before all the recent stock market chaos.  Looks like he was right again.  We’ll continue to bring you updates as we see them.  This report was first brought to you in April 2024.   There are a handful of people in our Country who are so deeply tied into the financial system that you HAVE TO listen whenever they speak about the economy. Warren Buffett. Jamie Dimon. The classic “too big to fails”. And Jamie Dimon just shocked the financial world by saying he does not expect a “soft landing” for the economy. Ok, so what does that mean and why should you care? You should care a LOT.  Because if he’s right things are about to get very ugly. NOTE: But make sure you read to the very end of this article because I’m going to tell you a couple things you can do to safeguard things for your family and yourself. So think about it like this….you’ve got an airplane up in the air and the pilot has to land it soon.  But he’s facing all sorts of “headwinds”…. Things like very high inflation (which simply means have you noticed how shopping at the grocery store seems to cost almost double these days what it did just 4 years ago?)… Things like very high interest rates (plan to buy a new home?  You can buy about HALF the size and quality of home now as you could 4 years ago thanks to high interest rates)…. Things like a bad job market (job numbers are up but that’s only because people are taking 2 and 3 jobs to just stay afloat)…. So you have all of these headwinds pushing your plane around and the likelihood of having a soft and smooth landing becomes increasingly more difficult and increasingly more unlikely. But it’s not just some abstract thinking exercise….if the plane does not have a soft landing, your world could be in for some big pain.  Your personal world.  Your job, your finances, your bank accounts.  If you think things have been bad under Biden, just realize the plane hasn’t fully landed yet. In other words, buckle up! This is especially troubling because usually Jamie Dimon is the biggest cheerleader for the USA and the economy, almost always expecting a rosy future. So this is a real departure and raises a lot of eyebrows. Take a look here: Jamie Dimon is skeptical of a soft landing. “Don’t get lulled into a false sense of security.” The JPMorgan CEO sits down with our editor in chief. https://t.co/vyWUBkWZ4O https://t.co/vyWUBkWZ4O — The Wall Street Journal (@WSJ) April 25, 2024 Watch this short 2-minute summary: Jamie Dimon, JPMorgan CEO, in his interview with WSJ: – Markets are too optimistic about a soft landing. – Expects soft landing odds to be half of what markets are pricing in. – “Don’t get lulled into a false sense of security because the today looks okay.” 2-minute summary: pic.twitter.com/9zDlagskIE — AlphaPicks (@AlphaPicks) April 25, 2024 Fox News had more details: JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon on Thursday cautioned that markets are too optimistic about the odds of a soft landing as the U.S. economy continues to battle still-high inflation and interest rates. “The odds of a soft landing, the market kind of prices in 70%. I think it’s half of that,” Dimon said during an interview with The Wall Street Journal. “It looks a little bit more like the ’70s to me, and I point out to a lot of people, things looked pretty rosy in 1972 – they were not rosy in 1973.” At that time, unemployment and inflation were both high but economic growth was weak, a phenomenon now known as “stagflation.” Dimon has reiterated concerns that the economy risks headed toward a repeat of 1970s-style stagflation, a warning that has grown louder in recent months amid signs that progress on inflation has flatlined. “Don’t get lulled into a false sense of security that because today looks okay, tomorrow is going to be okay,” he said. Dimon’s comments come as Federal Reserve policymakers weigh when to start cutting interest rates amid concerns that progress on inflation has stalled. While inflation has fallen considerably from a peak of 9.1%, progress has largely slowed since the summer. Investors have steadily dialed back their expectations as central bank officials signal they are in no rush to cut, and that incoming economic data will guide their decision. Hiking interest rates creates higher rates on consumer and business loans, which then slows the economy by forcing employers to cut back on spending. Higher rates have helped push the average rate on a 30-year mortgage above 8% for the first time in decades. Borrowing costs for everything from home equity lines of credit, auto loans and credit cards have also spiked. But it’s not just these comments. You might recall back in the Fall I brought you a report that Jamie Dimon planned to sell a large amount of his shares in JP Morgan Chase Bank. Big deal, right? Actually it is. Because since he first became CEO in 2006, he has NEVER sold a single share. Remember how I told you he’s typically always been optimistic about a rosy future? He always has. Until now. For over 18 years, he never sold a single share of stock in the Bank, but now he’s selling a bunch. And the sales just recently concluded. Wonder why he wants out now? Is it because he knows what is coming? Here is the report I brought you back in the Fall — we are ALWAYS ahead of things and our reporting is once again proving to be spot on (this was actually part of a 4-part series about Insider’s Selling all at the same time): Insider’s Selling (Part 3): Jamie Dimon Sells MILLIONS Of Stock — First Time Ever In Over 18 Years This is Part 3 of a 3-part series about Stock Market Insiders selling massive amounts of stock in their companies. Parts 1 and 2 are listed below in case you missed them: Insider’s Selling (Part 1): Jeff Bezos Sells $8.5 BILLION of Amazon Stock Insider’s Selling (Part 2): Walton Family Cashes Out of Wal-Mart! And now part 3, featuring JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon. This is a fascinating one to me because since Dimon became CEO of the bank in 2006, he has NEVER sold a single share --- until now: That's 18+ years and not a single sale. So why now? Why $150 MILLION now? SHIT ABOUT TO HIT THE FAN? Jamie Dimon sold $125m of JPMorgan stock through a plan, while his wife Judith Kent sold $25m of stock By Ed LinFriday, 23 February 2024 at 02:03https://t.co/o3ZjlPKQwI — Jack Straw (@JackStr42679640) February 24, 2024 Is Dimon selling perfectly at the top? That remains to be seen, but what we know for sure is he perfectly bought at the bottom: Jamie Dimon bought 1.235 million shares in the open market from 2009 to 2016 at the exact times when markets bottomed. Last week, he sold 821,778 shares of JPM stock worth $150 million for the first time ever. Impeccable timing? pic.twitter.com/Nk99iHm5Jj — Wall Street Silver (@WallStreetSilv) February 26, 2024 In other words, I'm following this guy! Here are more details, from the NY Post: JPMorgan Chase chief Jamie Dimon cashed in about $150 million of his stock in the bank — the first time the head of the largest US lender has sold shares since taking charge in 2005. Dimon, one of the longest-serving chief executives on Wall Street, unloaded 821,778 shares of JPMorgan, according to an SEC filing Thursday. The selloff is part of a larger plan the bank revealed in an SEC filing in October to sell 1 million of the 8.6 million shares Dimon and his family own. A spokesperson for JPMorgan confirmed to The Post that “this was the planned sale of less than 10% of his holdings that we announced last October.” Jamie Dimon in a suit gesturing as he speaks during a Senate hearing on Wall Street firms. At that time, a regulatory filing attributed Dimon’s trimming of his personal stake in JPMorgan to financial diversification and tax-planning purposes. U.S. stocks smashed a new record high last week, but the rally may not last for long thanks to heightened risks that the economy returns to a 1970s-style stagflation scenario. US heading to 1970s-style stagflation, JPMorgan Chase strategists warn Chase sued over ‘unconscionable and predatory’ junk fees for depositing checks that bounce JPMorgan shares were up over 1%, to $183.07, in early trading Friday and the firm has a market capitalization of $527.3 billion — the largest of any US bank. Year-to-date, JPMorgan has already seen its share price rise more than 6%. Year-to-date, JPMorgan has already seen its share price rise more than 6%. Under Dimon’s nearly two-decade reign, JPMorgan’s shares have increased some 250%. Year-to-date, JPMorgan has already seen its share price rise more than 6%. Under Dimon’s nearly two-decade reign, JPMorgan’s shares have increased some 250%. Even after the selloff, Dimon and his family still own about 7.6 million shares in JPMorgan, which has more than $2.5 trillion under management, per the bank’s website. Dimon “continues to believe the company’s prospects are very strong and his stake in the company will remain very significant,” JPMorgan told The Post in October after announcing his planned stock sale. Dimon’s transactions involving JPMorgan shares are subject to the terms of Rule 10b5-1 of the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934, the bank told The Post, which requires insiders to sell company stock by setting up a predetermined plan that specifies a transaction date and the amount of stock to be sold. So....what should you do?  What CAN you do? I will repeat what I've said in all 3 parts of this series....I am NOT a financial advisor -- hear me clearly on that -- but if you'd like to get out of stocks and into something SAFER for your retirement, may I suggest that Gold has ALWAYS been God's money? Gold has never failed, it was money in the Bible and it's still money today. And a store of value. So how do you protect yourself? And your family? How do you stay safe? And....here's a nice kicker....how can you do it with no money out of pocket?  (Yes, really!) Simple: you need to get some #Gold or #Silver in your own possession. It's called "physical" gold and silver. Not paper traded garbage on the stock exchanges that isn't backed by anything. Don't touch that stuff. I have two special hook-ups for you. Both involve PHYSICAL gold and silver. Because if you do NOTHING else, make sure you own "physical" gold and silver, not paper contracts. The paper contracts (like stock ticker SLV and GLD) could very well go POOF one day and disappear or go to zero, because they're not actually backed by the gold and silver they claim to represent. It's a massive game of musical chairs out there and when the music stops (and I think it will stop soon...) people who only own paper might find themselves owning something not worth the paper it's literally written on. And I know you'll never forget it if I give you this GIF so....Let's Get Physical: Now...WHERE do you get physical gold and silver and how do you know it's real and safe? And that you're getting the best price? Oh, and how about personal one-on-one real customer service? You know, like you were some Big Wig millionaire at Goldman Sachs who could just call their personal banker and get help? That's what I'm about to tell you.   I have two killer connections for you... The first is for purchasing gold and silver bullion. That means bulk bars. That's the cheapest and most economical way to do it, to stretch your dollar into as much gold and silver as possible. The website is called WLT Precious Metals and when you see my logo in the top left-hand corner, you'll know you're in the right place. You'll get a personal phone call with Ira Bershatsky (or someone on his team) and they will work with you free of charge for as long as needed to answer any questions you have and get you taken care of. How about that! You don't see that much anymore, but Ira and his team pride themselves on good old-fashioned real customers service: No sales pitch, just real, actual help. And the best prices you will find. Here's the only disclaimer I will give you: because they do pride themselves on dedicated service, it might take a few days before you get a phone call back.  Just be patient. Good things come to those who wait! You can contact Ira and WLT Precious Metals here. Ok, that was #1. Now I want to tell you about option #2. An equally great company, I am so happy to be working with these guys. This next company is called Genesis Gold and this is for people who want to purchase real physical gold or silver in their IRAs (Investment Retirement Accounts). You know what the beauty of that is? TAX FREE baby! I'm not a tax advisor, but that's a general oversimplification. Never pay more taxes than you are legally required to pay. And that's why I love getting gold and silver in my IRA (and why I hold a large chunk in an IRA myself!). There's so much to love about Genesis Gold, starting with the fact they are proudly and un-ashamedly Christina! They call it "Faith-Driven Stewardship" and they put it right on the homepage of their website along with a quote from Ezekiel: Wealth Preservation With Gold & Silver – The Genesis Gold IRA By your wisdom and your understanding you have made wealth for yourself, and have gathered Gold and Silver into your treasuries – EZEKIEL 28:4 Genesis Gold Group believes the Bible gives clues on how man-made currencies (paper money) represent instability, and a lack of virtue and encourages living wastefully in excess. Conflicts have beleaguered us since the dawn of civilization, and they can all be encapsulated into one battle. The battle is between currency, man-made paper, and gold and silver — the two precious metals found in our Earth’s crust, sent to us by our Lord to use as money. Man-made currency always leads nations down the path to increased war, greed, and ultimate collapse. History has shown that abandoning gold and silver has always been a bad idea. Gold and Silver enforce discipline, nurture self-constraint, self-reliance, and balance, and lead to confidence, a restrained government, and a more stable foreign policy. Genesis Gold Group believes in empowering faith-driven stewardship with Gold & Silver are an integral part of a balanced portfolio. Protecting your finances with precious metals has never been more crucial during these trying times. With a combined 50-plus years in the precious metals industry, let your Genesis gold and silver experts guide you through the simplicity of asset protection and growth with our Genesis Gold IRA. Sincerely, Genesis Gold Group Empowering Faith-Driven Stewardship Oh....and they're VERY good at what they do. You also get physical gold and silver with Genesis, believe it or not!  The gold and silver is purchased for you (in whatever combination of coins and bars you prefer, a picture taken and sent to you, and then stored safely in a vault for you! I love what these guys are doing. Here's more on why gold and silver in your IRA are so powerful: You can contact Genesis Gold here. They are also very backed up with record demand, so you may have to wait a bit, but someone WILL get in touch with you for personal customer service and assistance! Tell 'em Noah sent ya! Oh, and did you know Genesis is recommended by SUPERMAN himself? It's true. Superman himself, Clark Kent -- Dean Cain -- came on my show a few weeks ago and we broke it all down: Watch here: Stay safe! Make sure you can weather the storm when it hits! Because the storm always hits eventually, doesn't it? As for me and my house, we will be ready.

Halloween Came Early: Cat With Dwarfism Shows Off His Purrfect Costume

It may not be Halloween just yet, but this adorable cat is modeling his costume anyway! Skippy, a little black kitty with dwarfism, looked way too cute in a pair of dragon wings! His owners caught the sweetest video of their pet walking around the house, showing off his spooky outfit. This clip has received over a million views on social media! Apparently, the inspiration behind this cat’s dragon Halloween costume comes from the animated film, How to Train Your Dragon. Many people have told Skippy’s owners that their kitty looks just like the dragon from the movie, Toothless. We have to agree that the resemblance is uncanny! @skippito.pepito Everyone says he’s looks like Toothless! #blackcat #voidcat #kitten #specialneedscat #howtotrainyourdragon #toothless #funnycats #littlekitty #fy #fyp #fypp #fyppage #fypシ゚viral ♬ Test Drive – From How To Train Your Dragon Music From The Motion Picture – John Powell Commenters also thought that this cat’s Halloween costume was just too perfect! “I immediately yelled Toothless,” said one user. Another added, “This is it, the cutest video on the internet.” You may have noticed that the cat had some trouble getting around in the video while wearing his Halloween costume. Skippy’s owners addressed this in the comments section when someone pointed it out. They explained that his dwarfism affects his mobility. “Don’t worry, he is ok!” they wrote. “He was born with a form of dwarfism, so his bones didn’t develop properly. But rest assured he is not in any pain.” Screengrab from TikTok Catster tells us that dwarfism is a genetic condition that causes disporportionately short legs as well as other bodily abnormalities. It can also lead to chronic pain or other health issues further down the line. In other posts, Skippy’s owners have shared some of the special care that their kitty requires because of his dwarfism. For example, this little guy can’t clean himself the way that other cats can. So, his humans have to give him baths more frequently. @skippito.pepito He gets baths because he can’t groom himself and gets crusty lol #blackcat #specialneedscats #dwarfcat #bathtime #meow #kittenlove #fyp #fypp #fypage #fyppage #fypシ゚viral ♬ original sound – Skippito Pepito We’re so glad that Skippy has loving owners who are willing to care for his special needs! Some Of The Smallest Dinosaur Footprints Ever Found After Heavy Rains

An ancient trail of tiny dinosaur footprints has been discovered in the Linxia UNESCO Global Geopark in Gansu province, China. According to reports from South China Morning Post, scientists got the heads up from museum employees in the region who spotted the miniature marks after heavy rains.Extreme weather can both help and hamper paleontology. On the one hand, the sped-up erosion can bring to the surface things that have been buried over time. However, as the discovery of possibly the oldest dinosaur to date recently demonstrated, it can also make the process of studying such finds much, much harder. In the case of these miniature footprints, the rains revealed five that are said to be just a few centimeters across, demonstrating how small the dinosaurs that made them were. It’s thought that Minisauripus may be behind the prints, thought to be a little smaller than a chicken.    “We estimate that the body length [of the dinosaurs] is about 25 centimeters (9.84 inches), but the tail should account for at least half of the length,” said Lida Xing, a paleontologist and associate professor at the China University of Geosciences, to SCMP.As Xing explained, while we might think most of the mightiest of dinosaurs, the mini ones were an important step to the enormously successful animal group that came next: “The miniaturisation of dinosaurs was a key factor in their evolution into birds, and it was a very important evolutionary event.”If the fossil footprints do indeed belong to Minisauripus, it appears they may have been living alongside waterbirds, as evidenced by other footprints and ripple marks that indicate water was nearby. Being so small means these dinosaurs leave little in the way of fossils for scientists to study, which is why ichnology is so important as it enables us to study their fossilized tracks in lieu of bones. There’s some debate as to whether the fossil evidence we have for these dinosaurs is their adult or juvenile form, but in a 2016 paper Xing and colleagues wrote that some Minisauripus prints in Yangmozu in Sichuan Province were “the smallest known non-avialian theropod track ichnogenus.” So, a diddy dino indeed.

Philip K. Dick theorizes the Matrix in 1977: “We live in a computer-programmed reality”

Our understanding of the world, the universe, and human history might be entirely misguided. An increasing number of people believe that an unseen, unknown intelligence or force could be influencing our daily lives—either assisting or hindering us—and potentially stripping away our free will. Renowned science fiction writer Philip K. Dick had a remarkable talent for revealing alternate realities that may parallel our own. What fueled his profound insights? Who or what was the muse guiding him to envision other worlds? Dick claimed that a supernatural force entered his life, granting him the ability to exist in multiple realities simultaneously. It was Dick who first proposed the idea that what we call reality is really a computer simulation. As John Lennon wrote in “Strawberry Fields,” “Nothing is real.” The movie franchise, “The Matrix,” is based on Dick’s ideas, though he never received any official credit for his concept from the film’s producers. Publisher and author Timothy Green Beckley has been experiencing synchronicity since childhood. Read his memoirs of meaningful synchronicities, both happy and sad, and his belief that we are all just prisoners enclosed in the matrix Dick posited. If we accept the existence of the matrix, does that mean we can also escape it? Can we exert free will in spite of the unknowably complex nature of the machinery that generates our reality? Read “The Matrix Control System of Philip K. Dick and the Paranormal Synchronicities of Timothy Green Beckley” and come to your own understanding. Philip K. Dick and the cover of his book “VALIS,” which was inspired by his contact experience with a stranger who appeared on his doorstep, a crucial moment that opened his eyes to the true nature of reality. Philip K. Dick remains one of the most revered writers in the history of the science fiction genre. His books and stories have been translated to the big screen many times, in such mega-hits as “Total Recall,” “Blade Runner,” and “The Adjustment Bureau.” Hipster director Richard Linklater did an animated version of “A Scanner Darkly” in 2006, and, as of this writing in 2017, Amazon is streaming its take on “The Man in the High Castle,” in all of its postwar topsy-turvy glory, as it posits an alternate history in which the Axis powers actually won the Second World War. Dick is also said to have pioneered the concept behind the hit movie franchise “The Matrix.” Although never officially credited by the filmmakers, it was Dick who first conjectured that what we think of as everyday reality, the reality where you knock on a table and feel it in your knuckles, is not reality at all. Instead, we live in a computer simulation of reality where the unseen puppet masters can bend us to their will at any time. This theory, this concept, has grown in popularity in UFO and paranormal circles, due in large part to statements and research from the likes of Charles Fort (who thought we were like movable pieces on a giant chest board), UFO researcher Dr. Jacques Vallee and seminal paranormal writer John A. Keel. The programmers/overlords “playfully” make themselves known with moments of synchronicity, with meaningful coincidences that cannot possibly have happened by mere chance. Since our lives in the matrix are all we know, it is difficult to imagine escaping from the predestined existence that has been meted out to us. GIRDING UP HIS LOINS TO MAKE WAR ON ‘REALITY’ But Timothy Green Beckley doesn’t quite agree with that dismal, hopeless perspective. Beckley believes, as perhaps a prisoner of war might, that it is his duty to at least try to set himself free from the arbitrary control of the program’s designers. If we can imagine freedom from the matrix, does the mere act of imagining make it possible? Such issues are dealt with, along with many others, in the recently published “The Matrix Control System of Philip K. Dick and the Paranormal Synchronicities of Timothy Green Beckley.” The title is rather long, as is the book itself, at nearly 450 pages. It is well-documented for a book on such an elusive subject and illustrated from cover to cover. Despite its length, it is written in an easy to comprehend, conversational style, with only minor references to more intellectually dense and complex figures, such as Carl Jung, whose concepts on synchronicity even his most ardent students agree can sometimes be difficult to follow. The new book opens with an introduction by the late Dick’s widow, Tessa Dick. Philip K Dick with his wife Leslie (Tessa) busby (married between 1973-1977). Photo courtesy of Tessa Dick. “Tim Beckley has a firm handle on the nature of the strange incidents,” Tessa writes, “that occurred in the life of my husband, Philip K. Dick. Whereas many writers have chosen the easy way out, offering explanations ranging from epilepsy to drug abuse, Beckley has dug deep into the story of Phil’s life and unearthed evidence that such things really do happen to many people.” According to Tessa, her late husband often questioned his own sanity, a form of self-doubt, which, for those who experience synchronicity and the paranormal, seems to come with the territory. “He told stories for a living,” Tessa writes, “and he told stories for fun. He took the little anomalies of our world and spun them into alternative realities. He also warned us of the police state in which we live. The Nazis won World War II, and the Empire never ended. We must wake up and see the world as it is, not as the media present it to us. Behind the propaganda, this world is all about control.” Page from “The Religious Experience of Philip K. Dick” by R. Crumb. A LIFE-CHANGING KNOCK ON THE DOOR The “strange incidents” that Tessa mentions above include one that I write about in the “The Matrix Control System of Philip K. Dick.” “The visionary mysticism that would come to dominate Philip K. Dick’s final years began in 1974, with a visit from the local drugstore. It is a pivotal moment in Dick’s personal history and has been much written about and analyzed after the fact.” Dick had recently been to see the dentist about an impacted wisdom tooth. The procedure included a dose of sodium pentothal. Next, a young woman delivered a bottle of Darvon tablets to Dick at his apartment in Fullerton, California. She was wearing a necklace with a pendant of a golden fish, an ancient Christian symbol that had been adopted by the Jesus counterculture movement of the late 1960s. The fish pendant began to emit a golden ray of light and Dick suddenly experienced what is called “anamnesis,” the recollection of the entire sum of knowledge. It is also called “intellectual intuition,” the direct perception by the mind of a metaphysical reality behind the screens of appearance. Dick had seen the ultimate nature of what he called “true reality.” In the following days and weeks, Dick would see psychedelic visions with phantasmagorical light shows. He also heard “voices’ and had prophetic dreams. These phenomena would continue until his death eight years later at the age of 53. After the 1974 experience with the pendant and his sudden awakening, Dick dedicated the rest of his life to understanding what it all meant. Dick wrote a lengthy, 8,000 page analysis of the events called “Exegesis,” what he called “an attempt to understand my own understanding.” That understanding would lead Dick to practice a form of Christianity called Gnosticism, which New York Times columnist Simon Critchley, in writing about Dick’s conversion, called “the worship of an alien God by those alienated from the world.” Dick believed that he, along with the rest of us, were all living simultaneously in the present day as well as the time of the first Christians in Rome. The political and economic structure of our modern world is really the BIP, or Black Iron Prison, which is opposed to the spiritual redemption offered by the PTG, or Palm Tree Garden. This is again a belief heavily influenced by the Gnostics, many of whom held that the physical, material world is really the creation of the God of Evil and that we await salvation from an “alien” God, a true “extraterrestrial,” not bound up in the wickedness and oppression on our planet’s surface. At one point, Dick’s voices and visions drove him to attempt suicide and he was placed in a mental hospital. “When I believe, I am crazy,” he wrote. “When I don’t believe, I suffer psychotic depression.” But elsewhere Dick says more optimistically, “I experienced an invasion of my mind by a transcendentally rational mind, as if I had been insane all my life and suddenly I had become sane.” There is, of course, the tritely familiar expression that there is a fine line between genius and insanity. Philosophers have also argued that there is a fine line between madness and genuine religious experience. Could Dick’s “alien God” truly free us from the Matrix? Did Dick mark a path to freedom that we might one day follow? Tim Beckley with the hosts of the Los Angeles radio program “Out And About” standing in front of the mysterious dome known as the Integratron Machine. The plans for the device were given to inventor and pilot George Van Tassel by beings from an alternate reality. The device, though never completed, is said to have been constructed in the desert as a sort of “time machine.” THE STRANGE UPS AND DOWNS OF SYNCHRONICITY The second part of the new book’s title is “The Paranormal Synchronicities of Timothy Green Beckley,” which Beckley’s chapters deliver on big time. As a memoirist of meaningful coincidence, Beckley has few, if any equals. His experiences with synchronicity began in his childhood and continue to the present day. His life is saturated with moments that he believes force him to acknowledge the invisible maker of all things in the matrix. Sometimes the stories are lighthearted, like the time Beckley was working for a porn magazine to make ends meet and got the idea to hold a contest in which the prize was a porn star’s panties. Of the two hundred or so entries received, the winner turned out to be a New York City cab driver. The cabbie visited the magazine’s office in Times Square and was photographed receiving his prize, after which the hack left for home with his newfound treasure. “Never figured I would have the opportunity to run into him again,” Beckley writes. “Why would I?” Four years later, Beckley was out roaming the city rather late at night when he heard a horn honk and a yellow vehicle pulled over to the curb in front of him. It was a taxi, driven by the same man who had won the star’s panties. “With a beaming smile,” Beckley writes, “he points to the rearview mirror and there, hanging where all his out-of-town passengers can see, are the porn star’s most intimate apparel. She was really touched when I told her about my meeting up with the lucky grand prize winner. I guess you can say that some synchronicities are more personal than others. Sometimes the matrix does share an intimate – or intimidating – moment with us all.” Bishop James Pike and Philip K. Dick. SYNCHRONIZED WITH TRAGEDY Perhaps one of the “intimidating” moments of Beckley’s experiences with the matrix would involve Philip K. Dick and an Episcopal clergyman named Bishop James Pike. In 1966, Pike performed the wedding ceremony for Dick and his fourth wife, Nancy Herbert. Pike was himself an anomaly. He was under fire from the church for what were considered at the time to be “radical” views, like the ordination of women to the priesthood, racial desegregation and the acceptance of LGBT people within the mainline churches. Pike also had controversial opinions on the Virgin Birth, the Second Coming of Jesus and other basic church doctrines. A few months before the bishop officiated at Dick’s wedding, Pike’s son committed suicide. The young man had been residing in a single room in a hotel off Broadway in midtown Manhattan. He had been depressed, using drugs, and just couldn’t take it anymore. A friend of Beckley’s, a woman named Sandra, whose family lived in an apartment next door to young Pike’s, said the condition of the room had been “messy” in the aftermath of Pike’s use of a handgun to take his own life. “But I didn’t realize,” Beckley said, “until I spoke to Sandra recently, that I had slept in the very room where the tragic event had taken place.” The room had eventually been merged with the apartment rented by Sandra’s family and Beckley had stayed there many times. But no one had ever told him about the history of Room 429. There is a lot more to the story Beckley has to tell about Dick, Pike and Pike’s son, events that would come to involve a well-known spiritualist and medium named the Reverend Arthur Ford as well as Diamond Jim Brady, the dapper man-about-town of the early 20th century. One should read the new book for the full story, as Beckley recounts a chain of events that is both amazing and nightmarish but which cannot be briefly summed up in the space allotted for this article. In the more than three decades since his death, Philip K. Dick is now thought of as one of the most influential of all modern day sci-fi novelists and short story authors. “Total Recall,” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, is based upon one of his award-winning titles. TRANSCENDING THE MATRIX “The Matrix Control System of Philip K. Dick and the Paranormal Synchronicities of Timothy Green Beckley” also offers contributions from an excellent cast of paranormal writers and researchers, to include Tim Swartz, Brad Steiger, Nick Redfern, Diane Tessman, Valerie D’Orazio, Brent Raynes, Cynthia Cirile, Hercules Invictus and Joseph Green. The various authors discuss their own experiences with synchronicity as well as provide an overview of some of the “real-world” factors that support Dick’s concept that our reality has been preprogrammed by computer “designers” we can barely conceive of as existing, let alone claim to understand. Our existence means something. It is important to us, even if we live in a mechanized contrivance that is to some extent basically indifferent to our struggles and hardships. Perhaps, by coming to understand what synchronicity really is, we will be taking that first step to a truly free form of consciousness that transcends the matrix entirely. Timothy Green Beckley, for one, certainly hopes so. By Sean Casteel, source: Spectral Vision The post Philip K. Dick theorizes the Matrix in 1977: “We live in a computer-programmed reality” appeared first on Anomalien.com.

Column: NPR Proves They Despise Trump 162 Times

How do voters know the prestige press is hopelessly partisan? For three weeks, Kamala Harris has been refusing all requests for interviews or press conferences, and that goes unpunished. Donald Trump held a press conference, and he was absolutely punished. Taxpayer-funded National Public Radio demonstrated their ultraliberal tilt for the millionth time – at least that’s how it feels. NPR political director Domenico Montanaro organized a team to pore over Trump’s August 8 press conference transcript, and “found at least 162 misstatements, exaggerations and outright lies in 64 minutes. That’s more than two a minute. It’s a stunning number for anyone – and even more problematic for a person running to lead the free world.” This scandalous figure had all that Glenn Kessler energy from The Washington Post. Remember when Kessler made a database that identified 30,573 “false or misleading claims” from President Trump? When Biden was elected, he proclaimed the Database Days were over. Kessler proclaimed on MSNBC, “I assume the Biden presidency will be a lot like the Obama presidency, and that they will be responsive, and will be able to quickly back up what they're saying.” The crucial word there is “assume.” Democrat journalists assume Democrats tell the truth. This piece was eagerly shared on X by leftist die-hards, from movie star Mark Hamill to “comedian” Dean Obeidallah to MSNBC host Katie Phang. Let’s stipulate that some of these 162 statements were inaccurate – Trump overstated his support in polls, and there’s some trolling Trumpian braggadocio, like suggesting his crowds are bigger than Martin Luther King’s. But NPR broke out the usual annoying habits of Democrat-defending “checkers.” -- Trump said if he loses, “You could end up in a Depression of the 1929 variety.” That’s not a factual statement at all. That’s a prediction. It’s like all the Democrat journalists in 1992 insisting it was a lie to say Bill Clinton wouldn’t raise taxes. He did.   -- Trump said Harris is “a radical left person at a level that nobody's seen.” NPR’s “fact” guy argued “It’s debatable how liberal Harris is.” That’s not a fact check. That’s just an emotional reaction. -- Trump said Gov. Tim Walz is “a radical left man.” Montanaro replied. “Few, if any, reasonable people would say Walz is a ‘radical left man.’” He then claimed, without irony, that when Walz legalized pot and “protected” abortion, it wasn't radical because it was supported by a majority of Minnesotans. -- Trump said Walz was “heavy into the transgender world.” Walz signed legislation making his state a “trans refuge” for “gender-affirming care,” but Montanaro just complained: “’Heavy into the transgender world’ is vague and misleading.” The lamest entry was NPR legal reporter Carrie Johnson arguing it was wrong to say Hillary Clinton deleted hundreds of government emails from her private server because she was facing a subpoena for them. “The FBI said there’s no evidence the messages were deleted with a subpoena in mind.” No, they were destroyed before the subpoena. So much better. When Biden gave a speech last month saying he wouldn’t run for re-election, NPR didn’t assemble a team to fact-check it. Montanaro offered “four takeaways.” The first takeaway compared Biden to George Washington, and folded the alleged menace of Trump into words from Washington’s farewell address about how “cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people.”  The hard-earned dollars of non-liberal taxpayers help fund NPR launching emotional ramblings over how the Democrats aren't radicals, and they won't ruin the economy. As often happens, "fact checking" is actually a lot of spin control and denial.

When China conquers Taiwan, it'll have a near monopoly on the chips powering every gadget we own

There’s no sugarcoating this, so I’ll give it to you straight. We don’t have a competitive domestic computer-chip industry, and we won’t have it in the next 10 years. China will take Taiwan and control TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company — the first dedicated chip foundry in the world and the most important). And the U.S. will keep buying chips from TSMC with CCP back doors in them — and pretend it’s fine. That’s the depressing reality of Intel’s failure to provide an alternative to TSMC. The idea that we’re going to just man up and re-shore leading-edge chipmaking is now clearly a fairy tale. But it’s not just Intel’s fault. The problems that got us here are all part of the larger off-shoring of U.S. manufacturing over the last 30 years, and they won’t be solved by propping up Intel with a few tariffs and a couple of billion dollars. When we knuckle under and help China keep the lights on at TSMC, maybe with some face-saving rhetoric, it will continue the last 30 years of optimizing for cheap goods at the expense of national sovereignty. It's the continuity-preserving path. Amid this disaster, we need a complete and total reboot of all U.S. industrial policy, with chip-making as one part of that bigger effort. But even if we can get it together to begin this, the path to pulling it off goes through a long period of time when China’s Communist Party has root access to our domestic systems and steals or sabotages our stuff. At least China doesn’t want to completely wreck us because it needs someone big enough to buy a lot of its stuff. The U.S. has to remain functional enough to support Beijing’s continued rise to world dominance, and, of course, we do supply some of the critical inputs to leading-edge chip fabs that it'll need to run TSMC. So keeping us alive in second or third place globally is a win for them — and us. And because there’s no alternative, we will accept that. We can’t very well take Apple, Google, NVIDIA, etc. out behind the barn and shoot them. We’ll keep buying TSMC output and pretending it’s all A-OK. We’ll make it through the digital revolution as a country, but we’ll get taken down a peg (or two ... or three). Yes, we should’ve thought about this back when we had a choice. Forget about chips — we should never have given the Chinese our factories! The whole industrial policy was so obviously, monumentally stupid. But here we are, so we’ll muddle through. Now, some insist that we can slip the noose because of TSMC’s big, high-profile expansion plant in Arizona. Unfortunately, the Arizona fab was always going to be trailing-edge, negligible in terms of impact on our domestic chip issues. How could it be otherwise? Why on earth would TSMC do anything material to lessen our dependence on it? LOL. Furthermore, if TSMC is already low-key CCP-captured — a development thought likely in some circles in D.C. and Silicon Valley — then China itself would just be giving up its eventual leverage over us by lessening our dependence on TSMC. And if not, there's still no way Taiwan would want us to be less likely to come to its aid when China moves on it. No matter how you look at it, TSMC’s Arizona fab was always whatever the industrial policy equivalent of security theater is. It was maybe a nice idea if we could've executed on it, but it was never a real plan to save us from being dependent on China for our transistor supply. And so, this Intel catastrophe is very, very bad, and there's no real light at the end of this tunnel that isn't an oncoming train. There's no quick fix or way to just throw a few (borrowed) billions at this issue and really make a material difference in a short time. That's all fantasy. We have to find the will to re-industrialize, and we're going to have to do it in a world where China is basically more advanced than we are. We're very fortunate that China has its own massive problems — its own set of dominoes falling from decades of bad decisions. It's good to be bullish on America, but we're going to have to be bullish on ourselves as the underdog. We're going to have a long journey of coming back from behind. If you don't see it yet, you'll get it eventually. Better start now. A bitter pill to swallow A lot of replies to my recent Intel/TSMC thread are of the nature of, "We will surely blow up the fabrication facility if China invades," or, "Why would we not blow up the fab?" etc. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company getting wrecked is the scenario I outlined in this article from a few years ago, and it's what I obliquely refer to when I say the U.S. will not take NVIDIA, Apple, Google, etc. out behind the barn and shoot them. Our whole tech sector would be massively damaged, some parts of it maybe fatally, by the direct and indirect impact of the sudden loss of TSMC. From my previous article, there are a few important details about the semiconductor business you have to keep in mind going forward: "The market for advanced microchips fits together like this: The equipment and tooling for making leading-edge chip fabrication plants comes from the US and Europe. The two leading-edge fab makers, who have the proprietary know-how to turn that equipment and tooling into fabs that turn out chips more advanced than anyone else’s, are in Taiwan’s TSMC and South Korea’s Samsung. (There are actually sort of two-and-a-half leading-edge fab makers, with Intel being the half. It has stumbled but will recover and join the other two, soon.) The customers for the outputs of those leading-edge fabs are global, including in the US and Europe. Porting a chip design from one company’s fab process to another is costly and painful. It’s not like you send an email with some files to a different address and a few days later identical chips come off a new production line in a different factory. No, customers are tied to specific companies’ fabs, and suddenly losing access to that fab means suddenly no more chips until you complete a lengthy, costly re-targeting process.” If TSMC suddenly goes dark, what happened to Intel's share price the other day will happen to the rest of the NASDAQ — instant, massive carnage. Imagine Apple can't release new iPhones for some indefinite number of years and can't say when it'll be able to. I simply don't think we're going to do this to our tech sector. Instead, we'll keep TSMC running under CCP control if that's at all an option that's on the table post-invasion. And I suspect it will be, because I think TSMC is already likely de facto under CCP control. There have been many similar replies to the effect that the U.S. won’t “lose” TSMC. I can't imagine being this confident that the U.S. will suddenly put some great power rivalry with China ahead of its own naked commercial interests like this, after decades of us doing the exact opposite (which is why we're in this bind!). Imagine a country that sent all its manufacturing overseas to save money suddenly being willing to slaughter most of the NASDAQ in the name of sticking it to China because, hey, it's a rival, and you can't trust those guys! Sorry, I'm not seeing it. When we knuckle under and help China keep the lights on at TSMC, maybe with some face-saving rhetoric, it will continue the last 30 years of optimizing for cheap goods at the expense of national sovereignty. It's the continuity-preserving path.

Women’s sports aren’t the only victims of gender confusion

Like everyone else, I’m repulsed by the images of burly men in female sports compromising the safety and integrity of women athletes. However, we must avoid the trap set by some insidious elements on the “right” who want to focus the entire fight solely on saving female sports. That focus is just one logistical absurdity in a broader campaign of gender confusion and social contagion that we must eliminate from our society — a contagion that is more pervasive among women than men. As a kid, I never could have imagined that a well-known Bruce would one day go on camera and call himself “Caitlyn” with a straight face. But even more unimaginable is that in the ’90s, I never would have thought that if such a time arrived, the only opposition from the right would focus on the logistical and fairness arguments about women’s and girls’ sports. Now, we see Bruce appearing on ostensibly right-leaning media as an advocate of female sports while simultaneously grooming a generation of youngsters to think it’s normal to cosplay as a female, as long as it’s not in sports. A society cannot survive an entire generation of females who don’t even know what it means to be a woman. Let’s be clear: When a well-known, 6'3" man steals the essence of womanhood by dressing up and cosplaying as a female, it poses a far more pervasive problem for civilization than merely diluting elite professional women’s sports. It harms all women and contributes to the confusion in our society, where femininity is increasingly becoming a lost trait among a generation of girls. Allowing men in female sports is so indefensible, especially due to the safety issues, that I can foresee a time soon when the demonic forces will relent on the matter. However, this alone won’t solve the problem of gender ideology, which affects women more than men — the opposite dynamic of the sports travesty. People like Jenner want to call us “fringe” for not believing in trans ideology while making the entire civilization fight over protecting female sports, but the data we have demonstrates this is a much broader social contagion rooted more in the attack on femininity than attention-seeking men entering women’s sports. Take a look at this earth-shattering survey from Gallup published earlier this spring: A few inconvenient observations are in order. First, transgenderism has emerged unmistakably in recent generations, with other sexual identities exploding from a tiny baseline, especially among Gen Z. Anyone who believes that God created a genetic glitch around 2000-2005 is beyond credulous. The reality is that social contagion, normalized by the very behavior Jenner seeks to showcase to a conservative audience, drives these trends. It doesn’t take a genius to realize that without social media, such numbers would not exist. Second, the social contagion appears exponentially more pronounced among females. Currently, 28.5% of all Gen Z females identify with a sexual cosplay that won’t lead to procreation, nearly three times the rate of males. It’s clear that self-identified “bisexuals” drive much of this trend, indicating that a generation of girls is being raised to be more confused about their femininity than boys are about their masculinity. Additionally, contrary to the sports-centric narrative of transgenderism, the prevalence of self-identified transgender individuals among Gen Z women is more than double that of males. Throughout history, far more men than women engaged in gay relationships, but now that dynamic has completely flipped. Among the small cohort of the “silent generation” with same-sex attraction, gays outnumbered lesbians three to one. Jump to Gen Z, and 2.8% of men identify as gay while 5.4% of women identify as lesbian. Again, young women are much more frequently confused into thinking they are men than the other way around. This confusion is the legacy of feminism and its war on femininity. Third, sexual confusion was much more pronounced among men in earlier generations, but today, it’s far more prevalent among women. This shift is not mysterious. Before the rise of feminist gender-bending, sexual confusion primarily affected men. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand why men have a higher prevalence of certain sexual behaviors. Also, note that after the initial jump after World War II, the prevalence of self-described “gay men” has remained relatively flat. The confusion clearly lies on the female side, a result of years of inculcating women with masculine energy and convincing them they are essentially men with only a few superficial physical differences. Feminism has fostered an entire generation of self-identified bisexuals, with the most extreme elements even rejecting the few obvious gender differences and calling themselves transgender. The battle we face extends far beyond keeping men out of female sports. We must confront the entire phenomenon of gender-bending, whether it involves pronouns, drag shows, extreme co-ed culture, or other disruptions of societal norms. However, the GOP noticeably removed all of this from its platform, focusing the entire transgender issue solely on female sports. It is truly demonic, unfair, and unsafe for men to ruin years of training for female athletes. But a society can survive without female — or even male — sports. What a society cannot survive is an entire generation of females who don’t even know what it means to be a woman. The vivid, grotesque images of men beating women in combat sports should motivate us to banish men from stealing womanhood entirely. To get there, we must make womanhood and femininity great again among women, reclaiming those godly ordained virtues from the clutches of feminists.

Blaze News investigates: Reversing the illegal immigration crisis and fortifying national security

The Biden-Harris administration has created an immigration crisis that appears to be, at worst, irreversible and, at best, an unprecedented, monumental challenge for a future administration. Shutting down the southern and northern borders would be just the first step toward repairing the damage caused over the past few years. Even with the borders secure, millions of illegal aliens who underwent abbreviated vetting processes and made unverified asylum claims would still remain in the country long after the Biden-Harris administration passes the torch to the next administration. The sheer number of immigrants in the country already raises some troubling questions. First, is the problem too colossal to solve? If it is not unsolvable, what efforts would any attempt to solve it require? And how long would those efforts take? ‘One goal of the Biden mass illegal migration was to establish facts on the ground that would make it physically or politically impossible for the next Republican or Clinton-type Democrat to ever undo.’ While border security experts agree that the problem can be solved, they told Blaze News that doing so would require several important steps: first, a change to an administration that is actually dedicated to safeguarding national security. Second, this hypothetical future administration must roll out a comprehensive, whole-of-government strategy to undo years of mass unlawful immigration by reprioritizing efforts to locate, detain, and deport illegal aliens residing in the U.S. How we got here To understand how to turn the ship around, we must first realize the steps — and there were many — the Biden-Harris administration took to manufacture the crisis in the first place. Over the past few years, more than 7 million illegal immigrants entered the U.S., and those numbers only include individuals whom the federal government knows about and not the millions of unknown and unidentified gotaways that snuck into the interior of the country without any vetting whatsoever. Simon Hankinson, a senior research fellow in the Border Security and Immigration Center at the Heritage Foundation, told Blaze News, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, as the old saying goes. One goal of the Biden mass illegal migration was to establish facts on the ground that would make it physically or politically impossible for the next Republican or Clinton-type Democrat to ever undo." From day one of the Biden-Harris administration, policies the former Trump administration put in place to curb illegal entries and fortify national security were immediately stripped away. In fact, within Democrat President Joe Biden's first year in office, he took nearly 300 executive actions related to immigration, including immediately halting the construction of the southern border wall, despite American taxpayers already having paid for the materials. Biden also vowed to preserve the Obama administration's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, a program that prevents those who arrived in the U.S. as children from being deported while also extending work authorization. Additionally, he expanded Temporary Protected Status to Venezuelan nationals, blocking deportations and providing work permits for these individuals. Biden's Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has admitted that the administration has focused on expanding so-called "lawful pathways" for foreign nationals seeking to relocate to the U.S., all the while claiming its efforts will crack down on illegal crossings. Frankly, there is no evidence that the administration ever sought to prevent illegal immigration; instead, the evidence suggests it merely aimed to redefine "illegal." One good example of this phenomenon was a border executive order, 89 FR 48487 - Securing the Border, which limited the definition of unlawful crossings to individuals who attempt to sneak into the country in between ports of entry. The order did not apply to unaccompanied children, illegal aliens who are "determined to be a victim of a severe form of trafficking," or illegal aliens who "present[] at a port of entry pursuant to a pre-scheduled time and place." In other words, this order did not impact those who applied for an appointment at a port of entry through the administration's CBP One app to claim asylum. Instead, the administration's app worked to expedite the entry process. ‘Many are going to abscond and do their best to disappear.’ And these executive actions are just the tip of the iceberg in the Biden-Harris administration's effort to establish programs that acted as magnets, ushering in millions of illegal aliens. All of these efforts had the effect of speeding up the ability of foreign nationals to enter the interior of the country while significantly reducing the number of illegal aliens eligible for arrest and deportation. Add it all up, and you get a crisis, which is what we have now. Redirect existing funding In order to execute the massive pro-illegal-immigration shift facilitated by the Biden-Harris administration, the federal government has pumped billions into non-governmental organizations tasked with providing shelter, accommodations, and humanitarian services to unlawful aliens. A report published earlier this year by the Free Press pointed out that the top three most prominent NGOs — Global Refuge, Southwest Key Programs, and Endeavors Inc. — grew their profits from $597 million in 2019 to $2 billion in 2022, with numbers for 2023 not yet released. Meanwhile, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection resources remain too strained to keep up with the increase of foreign nationals requesting asylum at ports of entry and entering the country. While it will undoubtedly be an expensive undertaking to provide ICE, CBP, and local governments with the resources needed to begin to reverse course, these efforts could be funded by redirecting dollars away from the NGOs, many of which seem to be making the problem worse. Hankinson told Blaze News that undoing the open-borders crisis "could be paid for using the billions Biden tries to appropriate for NGOs to assist illegal immigration; contributions to U.N. organizations that facilitate illegal U.S.-bound migration; and grants via FEMA and other channels to U.S. organizations that pay for their travel, lodging, and other expenses once inside the country." Since 2020, Global Refuge, Southwest Key Programs, and Endeavors Inc. have received nearly $7 billion in federal funding. For comparison, ICE's fiscal year 2024 budget is roughly $8.7 billion to support more than 22,000 positions split between several operational directorates, including Homeland Security Investigations, Enforcement and Removal Operations, Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, and Management and Administration. Meanwhile, the Biden-Harris administration has attempted to allocate up to $1.4 trillion for wiping out student loan debt for borrowers. Those efforts have faced a number of legal challenges but, if approved, would pass all of "the costs on to the taxpayers," Hankinson stated. He noted that money "alone would more than fund every necessary part of a comprehensive strategy to return control to the border and the rule of law." Liberal policies get in ICE's way Many of the illegal aliens granted passage into the country under the current administration were released on their own recognizance, without tracking devices, while they await years-out court dates to review the validity of their asylum claims. Some fled to sanctuary jurisdictions that openly defied ICE's detainer requests to further dodge any future deportation efforts. While ICE, which is tasked with tracking illegal immigrants released into the U.S., already has the tools it needs to remove individuals unlawfully in the country, its hands have been largely tied by the current administration and sanctuary policies, which were created as part of the "abolish ICE" movement, in liberal cities across the nation. ‘Congress would have to give significant investment and support for ICE, which has been sidelined and demoralized under Biden.’ Jon Feere, director of investigations with the Center for Immigration Studies, told Blaze News, "Any illegal alien released into the United States with a court date is, in theory, being tracked by ICE and can be called into an ICE office whenever the agency wants to talk. I suspect there are many individuals that ICE officers are monitoring as closely as they can. Still, many are going to abscond and do their best to disappear — whether they have GPS monitoring or not." According to the American Immigration Council, there are roughly 11 million "undocumented" individuals residing in the U.S., and approximately 1.19 million of them have "final orders of removal." However, in some cases, they have been able to remain in the country because federal immigration officials are not certain of their location. Hankinson told Blaze News that an efficient first step for ICE would be to remove the over a million illegal aliens currently in the country who already have final order removals. "The 450,000 of them with criminal convictions and the 200,000 more with outstanding warrants or charges would be a good start," Hankinson stated. Many of these individuals who are subject to removal from the country have fled to cities like New York City, Chicago, and Denver, which have sanctuary policies that shield illegal aliens, including those who have committed additional crimes in the U.S., from federal immigration officials. Local law enforcement agencies in these sanctuary jurisdictions are prohibited from honoring ICE's detainer requests, which ask local authorities to hold the individual up to 48 hours after their release date to allow ICE agents to complete a safe transfer to federal custody. In the instances when the detainer requests are ignored, federal immigration officials are not even alerted when an illegal alien who has been convicted of a local crime is released from custody. An ICE spokesperson previously told Blaze News that policies restricting cooperation between local law enforcement agencies and federal immigration officers "threaten public safety." Without these regulations overturned, ICE is — and will continue to be — forced to "expend additional resources and search within neighborhoods to reapprehend these criminals at increased risk to the public and our officers." It is significantly more cost-effective for ICE to place a detainer request and execute a transfer while the illegal alien is still in local custody. Additionally, it is much safer for the officers involved. "When two officers can go to the jail, it's a secure environment," John Fabbricatore, a retired ICE Denver field office director and current Republican congressional candidate for Colorado's 6th District, previously told Blaze News. "But when you go to a home, or you pull someone over in a car, they are in the community," he continued. "And now you have the potential as you go to pull someone over, they flee, they crash into somebody else. Or you go to a home where they have access to firearms. Or you arrest them in front of their house in a neighborhood where maybe their neighbors are on their side, and they come out and now there's a big riot." Another major problem facing ICE agents is that the whereabouts of many of the unlawful immigrants in the country are unknown to federal authorities. In such cases, and with these sanctuary policies still in place, Feere told Blaze News that ICE agents will likely be forced to "conduct many city-by-city operations." He noted that it would benefit the agency if a future administration helped to increase its resources to support more officers and detention beds. The federal government has also worked against ICE's efforts to prioritize the removal of illegal aliens who have committed crimes in the U.S. by moving to shut down its largest detainment center. A next administration seeking to untie the hands of ICE agents and accelerate mass removals would require additional detention bed space. Hankinson told Blaze News, "Congress would have to give significant investment and support for ICE, which has been sidelined and demoralized under Biden. It would require tough dealing with 'sanctuary' states, cities, and towns, who should lose all federal funding if they refuse to allow law enforcement to enforce laws. These days, locating someone isn't as hard as it was in 1986 — the last big amnesty. Everyone has a phone and social media presence." Empowering states and local jurisdictions The Biden-Harris administration has fought tooth and nail to prevent states like Texas and Arizona from securing the southern border in ways the federal government has neglected to do for the past few years. The administration lodged lawsuits against Texas for placing buoy barriers in the Rio Grande and installing concertina wire along the state's Eagle Pass border. The federal government also pushed Arizona leaders to remove shipping containers placed along gaps in the unfinished border wall. As a result of the current administration's relentless dedication to wide open borders, states around the nation — not just those in the southwest — are dealing with the fallout of a manufactured illegal immigration crisis. The increase in unlawful residents has had a direct financial impact on local public education, health care, and law enforcement resources. However, there are many ways that state legislators and officials can seek to curb these issues. Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies, stated during a March episode of "Parsing Immigration Policy," "Illegal immigration is a huge unfunded mandate on the states because it's the state and local communities that bear the brunt of uncontrolled illegal immigration." "It's important that states try to take action on illegal immigration not only to push back on what is happening at the federal level and the Biden administration's deliberate border crisis that they've instigated, but also because even if we do get to a point with a new administration that wants to enforce immigration laws and regain control of the border, the federal government can't fix this problem on their own," she continued. "They really need cooperation from state and local governments." Vaughan noted that the most obvious place for states to start is by passing laws that impact public safety. She said that anti-smuggling laws, sentencing enhancements on illegal aliens, and prosecuting identity theft can go a long way in deterring unlawful immigration. Vaughan explained that while some illegal immigrants have received work authorization from the Biden-Harris administration, many have not and are, therefore, utilizing fake identification to secure employment. A crackdown on identity theft could flush out this problem. One of the most effective ways states can assist the federal government in rooting out unlawful immigration would be to pass laws preventing local jurisdictions from enacting sanctuary policies. Such legislation would ensure that local law enforcement agencies — particularly those in liberal enclaves of red states — would not be prevented from cooperating with ICE agents. ‘This will require a whole-of-government approach and every federal agency that touches the immigration issue.’ Arguably, the most common reason foreign nationals flock to the U.S. is for work opportunities. According to Pew Research Center, the number of illegal immigrants in the workforce grew from 7.4 million in 2019 to 8.3 million in 2022. A Committee on Education & the Workforce report estimated that the number was close to 8.8 million in 2023. States seeking to drive out unlawful immigrants can turn off this magnet by adopting rules directed at businesses and recruiters who employ illegal aliens, such as requiring employers to use verification systems, like E-Verify, to check work authorization status prior to hiring. Vaughan noted that states must diligently perform checks and implement consequences for businesses that violate these rules to ensure the most effective results. Final thoughts It is not unlikely that some Democratic leaders are hoping that the current presidential administration has produced a crisis so massive in scale that the opposition finds it inconceivable and far too laborious and costly even to attempt to reverse.
