Axed MSNBC host Tiffany Cross claimed on Tuesday that President Donald Trump was “kidnapping people” off the streets of America and sending them off to “concentration camps.” Cross joined a panel discussion on “CNN NewsNight” with host Abby Phillip, and she argued that the Trump administration was using Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — with the help of the Army National Guard — to “disappear” people the way the Nazi regime did in Germany. It is not insulting to the Jewish Holocaust,” Cross protested. “I find it insulting that you could even fix your mouth to defend this disgusting behavior.” “Are there gas ovens at these —?” Torrance attempted to get a straight answer out of Cross, to no avail. “It doesn’t matter! It’s a concentration camp what they’re doing and they are disappearing people, claiming that these are people who have committed the most harsh crimes, but according to the reporting less than 10% of these people have committed harsh crimes so to do the victim Olympics and decide who had it worse I can tell you I can participate in that too,” Cross claimed. “Let’s be accurate and honest,” Torrance challenged her. “The fact that we’re presenting this like it’s political fodder that a government agency is disappearing people, it is not a political point, it is nothing to do with Jewish people,” Cross claimed — despite the fact that she’d been the one to draw the direct comparison when she invoked the concentration camps — and then blamed Torrance for trying to “make yourself of somebody else the center of attention.” “Tensions are so heightened, using that kind of language is not helpful,” she said. “Tensions are heightened because this BS administration is kidnapping people. It has nothing to do with my language. It has to do with the actions that are being taken by this administration,” Cross objected, refusing to let the point go. Border czar Tom Homan would disagree with Cross, however. He told Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum, during an appearance on “The Story,” that rhetoric like Cross’ was what was driving violent ambush attacks against ICE agents — and he did not believe it was likely to stop.

Robotaxis produced by Google’s sister company, Waymo, rolled out onto New York City streets earlier this week as it tests the vehicles with “human safety operators” in America’s most populous city for the first time. Waymo submitted its application to the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) last month to roll out a “small fleet” of robotaxis, but to comply with state law, the company must place a human in each car, at least for now, The New York Post reported. Waymo and the DOT are currently pushing for the state to change its law that requires human drivers in each vehicle. Two bills introduced earlier this year to overturn the state’s ban on self-driving vehicles are still in committee. “We are working hard to bring Waymo to New Yorkers in the future, starting with this testing and advocating for changes to state law,” a DOT representative told the Post. The manually driven Waymo vehicles in NYC will be servicing Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn, according to TechCrunch. They will also map out parts of New Jersey, focusing on Jersey City and Hoboken. Waymo vehicles also hit Philadelphia this week, where the vehicles will be seen throughout the downtown area as well as driving “at all hours throughout various Philadelphia neighborhoods, from North Central to Eastwick, University City, and as far east as the Delaware River.” Waymo’s move to NYC and Philadelphia this week is part of the company’s “road trips,” a plan used to send small batches of human-driven vehicles to cities across the United States to map out areas where Waymo could expand its services in the future. Waymo also plans to embark on “road trips” to Houston, Orlando, Las Vegas, San Diego, and San Antonio this year, TechCrunch reported. “Once the Waymo Driver understands the lay of the land, the vehicles can begin driving autonomously. During these trips, human specialists provide feedback to our engineering teams on the driving experience and flag unique nuances that might come with operating in new areas. Simultaneously, our engineering team can evaluate the Waymo Driver’s performance in a virtual replica of the new location,” Waymo said in November 2023. Waymo’s self-driving robotaxis are currently operating in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, Atlanta, and Austin. As Waymo looks to roll out robotaxis in more cities, it has also been forced to address some issues with its driverless cars. In May, Waymo recalled more than 1,200 of its robotaxis after a software glitch caused multiple crashes into chains, gates, or other roadway barriers, objects that road safety regulators said “a competent driver would be expected to avoid.” Waymo said that it fixed the issue with a regular update to its fifth-generation self-driving software in November 2024. Some Los Angeles and San Francisco residents have also recorded incidents involving driverless Waymo vehicles, including confusion, backing into oncoming traffic, and blocking emergency vehicles. WASHINGTON—Asked about a Catholic bishop in California who told illegal immigrants they no longer have to go to Sunday mass, White House Border Czar Tom Homan did not mince words. “This is BS,” he told The Daily Wire in response to news that San Bernardino Bishop Alberto Rojas issued a decree on July 8 dispensing those in his diocese from attending Mass “due to potential immigration enforcement actions by civil authorities” if they have “genuine fear of immigration enforcement actions.” His dispensation is in effect until “such time as this decree is revoked or amended.” The bishop was referring to President Donald Trump’s immigration actions, which include ICE raids throughout the country. Rojas stated that he is “guided by the Church’s mission to care for the spiritual welfare of all entrusted to my care, particularly those who face fear or hardship.” Homan dismissed the announcement, saying, “I do not know of a single incident of a church arrest.” The bishop’s decree may stem in part from the Trump administration’s reversal of a Biden-era policy blocking immigration officials from making arrests at schools, houses of worship, or other “sensitive locations.” The Department of Homeland Security said in January that it would not “tie the hands of our brave law enforcement, and instead trusts them to use common sense.” “We would only go in if there was a violent criminal who was actively hiding out there or something,” Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin told The Daily Wire, suggesting that an arrest at a church only might occur if an MS-13 gang member was inside. The Diocese of San Bernardino did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Daily Wire.
