Why Won't the Liberal Media Investigate the Violence-Cheering Left?

The year: 1963. President John F. Kennedy had been assassinated that November while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. Three years later, journalist William Manchester authored the bestselling book The Death of a President. The book was a 350,000-word narrative of the events surrounding that infamous day in Dallas. Among the notable things about the book was its portrait of Dallas. In spite of the by-then well known fact that assassin Lee Harvey Oswald was a serious Communist sympathizer, an activist for “Fair Play for Cuba” among other things, the book painted a portrait of Dallas as having an alleged political atmosphere of far-right extremism and hatred that had resulted in Democrat JFK’s assassination. To quote a passage from the book: There was something else in the city, something unrelated to conventional politics-a stridency, a disease of the spirit, a shrill, hysterical note suggestive of a deeply troubled society. In Dallas this was particularly dismaying because for some time the city’s cherished image had been blemished by a dark streak of violence. Manchester was not the only member of the media who had put Dallas and its political atmosphere under an unforgiving microscope after the assassination. The media of the day in general was similarly scathing in its coverage of Dallas. This comes to mind as, decades later, an explosion of violence from a left-wing crazy has taken the life of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Over here at LifeNews.com was this headline:  Charlie Kirk’s Killer Tyler Robinson Was a Radical Leftist, Wrote “Hey Fascist, Catch” on a Bullet The story reports:  The young man who allegedly assassinated a beloved pro-life conservative activist was himself a radical leftist who self-identified as Antifa. The 22-year-old man accused of fatally shooting pro-life conservative activist Charlie Kirk had scrawled “Hey fascist, catch” on a bullet casing recovered from the scene, law enforcement officials said Friday. The initial details about the shooter are painting the suspect as a radicalized leftist who turned against his staunchly Republican family. What does this have to do with the media coverage of long-ago Dallas after the JFK assassination? As noted, what followed after that moment in long-ago history was a serious and detailed examination of the alleged far right-wing politics of Dallas in particular and Texas and the surrounding American South more broadly. But today, it takes the conservative Breitbart site to take a serious look at the far left politics that are floating in - poisoning? - America’s political waters. Here’s a sample headline:  ‘Charlie’s Murderers’ Website Exposes Leftists Cheering the Assassination of Charlie Kirk The story reports:  Shortly after the shocking assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, many leftists took to social media to mock, deride, and laugh at Kirk with many expressing happiness at his death. A new website, named Charlie’s Murderers, aims to expose those that attacked Kirk in his final moments. So the question? Where is the massive liberal media coverage of exactly what’s going on with the sewer of hatred swamping the American Left? Scan the coverage of The New York Times or The Washington Post or left-wing TV networks and there is zero - say again zero - coverage of the not-so hidden threats coming from various quarters of the American Left. Instead there is coverage like this from Newsweek:  Charlie Kirk's Assassination Mocked By Liberals Citing Gun Views While they didn't reference guns another X user got 13.3 million views on the platform by posting an eight second compilation of a woman repeatedly hitting a button, with the caption 'me liking every tweet making fun of charlie kirk.' However other commentators condemned these reactions, British broadcaster Piers Morgan on X commenting: 'Seeing so many clips/posts of supposedly 'kind tolerant' liberals gleefully celebrating Charlie Kirk's murder. They're so utterly disgusting.' Over at Newsmax there was a clip of various anonymous leftists expressing their glee over the killing.   But a massive liberal media investigation of the hatred from the American Left that clearly bubbles and percolates just underneath the surface of American politics?  Not to be seen. The question now: Will this continue? Stay tuned.

CNN Terrorism Analyst Demands We 'Stop Looking' For Kirk Assassin's Motive

CNN pays former Obama official Juliette Kayyem to be a national security and terrorism analyst, but on Saturday’s Table for Five, she demanded we all “stop looking” for a motive in the assassination of Charlie Kirk because we may never know. Despite the show airing on a different day, at a different time, and having a different name than her daily NewsNight program, host Abby Phillip continued her tradition of not interrupting her liberal guests. Kayyem was set off by GOP strategist Lance Trover, who made a completely reasonable point when he asked, “Well, will the rhetoric get toned down? I mean, again, I go back to what was on the bullet from this kid was fascism. And that's only coming from one side currently in this debate. And it's on every placard and every poster around the country. I mean, I think it's a valid question, but are they going to live up to what they say they're going to do with the Nazi and fascism and the like?”     Playing dumb, Kayyem responded, “I don't think we know. Just to be clear. I mean, just law enforcement people. I don't think we know the meaning of his message. I—we know his history.” Trover then had the unenviable task of trying to reason with a flat earther, “‘Bella ciao’ is an anti-fascist thing. It says, ‘Fascist, catch this.’ What are you talking about?’ As Trover had the kind of look on his face that you only get when someone tells you they sincerely believe that 2+2=5, Kayyem thought she had a clever comeback, “Then I’ll give you his history? Right? Think about his history? His history—but this is not the point—“ What history? The part about him saying Kirk was full of hate? The part where he had a transgender partner? The part where Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, whom Kayyem has praised for his handling of the past few days, said he was a leftist? Trover then wondered, “Why are we debating—this is what I’m talking about: there’s a lack of understanding—“ An unhappy Kayyem then rolled on, “This was my point, not yours. This was my point, not yours. The point is, who cares? A man was killed, and you have yet to say political violence is bad. Period. That's all that people want from the president. That's all. And we are getting this spin up of the you and this and what? Stop counting. Stop looking, because you're not going to—you're not going to divine a perfect motive in this case, I think I think we're looking for it. You're not going to divine it. We generally don’t.” There is exactly a zero percent chance that if someone assassinated the liberal equivalent to Charlie Kirk, Kayyem would be saying, “Stop looking” for the motive and “Who cares?” Here is a transcript for the September 13 show: CNN Table for Five 9/13/2025 10:23 AM ET LANCE TROVER: Well, will the rhetoric get toned down? I mean, again, I go back to what was on the bullet from this kid was fascism. And that's only coming from one side currently in this debate. And it's on every placard and every poster around the country. I mean, I think it's a valid question, but are they going to live up to what they say they're going to do with the Nazi and fascism and the like? I—yeah. ABBY PHILLIP: Do you think— JULIETTE KAYYEM: I don't think we know. Just to be clear. I mean, just law enforcement people. I don't think we know the meaning of his message. I—we know his history. TROVER: “Bella ciao” is an anti-fascist thing. It says, “Fascist, catch this.” What are you talking about? KAYYEM: Then I’ll give you his history? Right? Think about his history? His history—but this is not the point— TROVER: Why are we debating—this is what I’m talking about: there’s a lack of understanding— KAYYEM: This was my point, not yours. This was my point, not yours. The point is, who cares? A man was killed, and you have yet to say political violence is bad. Period. That's all that people want from the president. That's all. And we are getting this spin up of the you and this and what? Stop counting. Jenny Boelter files for divorce from Minnesota assassination suspect Vance Boelter

Jenny Lynne Boelter, the wife of political assassination suspect Vance Luther Boelter, has filed for divorce in Sibley County, Minnesota.According to Minnesota court records, Jenny Boelter, 51, of Green Isle, Minn., filed suit for divorce on Aug. 29. She is represented by family law attorney Maury Beaulier. Vance Boelter is listed on the case docket as a self-represented litigant.Beaulier told Blaze News that Jenny Boelter “will not be making a further statement.”‘We are appalled and horrified by what occurred.’Both of the Boelters filed a motion and stipulation to seal all of the case records. Sibley County District Court Judge Amber Donley issued an order to that effect on Sept. 2.The suit is listed as “dissolution with children.” The Boelters have five children, four of whom have reached adulthood.Vance Boelter, 58, faces a slew of federal and state murder-related charges from the June 14 assassination of Minnesota House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman (DFL-Brooklyn Park), her husband, Mark Hortman, and their golden retriever, Gilbert. He also faces attempted murder charges for the shooting and grievous wounding of state Sen. John Hoffman (DFL-Champlin) and his wife, Yvette Hoffman, and the attempted shooting of their daughter, Hope Hoffman.RELATED: Assassination suspect Vance Boelter tells STUNNING inside story about shooting Vance and Jennifer (Doskocil) Boelter were married on Oct. 4, 1997. They have five children.Jenny Boelter/FacebookA Minnesota grand jury on Aug. 14 indicted Vance Boelter on eight criminal counts, including first-degree premeditated murder, attempted first-degree murder, impersonating a police officer, and felony cruelty to an animal. He earlier pleaded not guilty to six federal grand jury charges that include stalking, murder, attempted murder, and firearms offenses related to the other felonies. Boelter could face the death penalty for the federal murder charge. He will be in federal court in November for a status conference.Vance Boelter is being held for trial at the Sherburne County Jail in Elk River, Minn. Hennepin County set his bail at $5 million on the state charges. He won’t face state prosecution until the federal charges are resolved. The Boelters were married in October 1997. The family moved around quite a bit with Vance Boelter’s numerous jobs in the food-processing industry. They lived in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, according to property records. The Boelters were partners in nonprofit charitable and religious ventures, including Revoformation Ministries Inc. and You Give Them Something to Eat Inc. They were also part of a partnership that owned Red Lion Group, a company dedicated to increasing locally grown food supplies in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The other partners are the Rev. Mcnay Nkashama and his wife, Nathalie, according to documents obtained by Blaze News. The Boelters attempted to establish a security company in 1999 and again in 2018. The more recent business, Praetorian Guard Security Services LLC, invested in equipment, including decommissioned police vehicles, but the business never got off the ground. Jenny Boelter was listed on the company website as president and CEO of Praetorian Guard, and Vance Boelter was named as director of security patrols. One of the Praetorian Guard vehicles, a 2015 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor, was allegedly used to shuttle Vance Boelter to the homes of four Democratic Minnesota state legislators on June 14. Prosecutors said Boelter’s plan was to murder the lawmakers. Boelter has said he planned only to make citizen arrests but that plan went horribly wrong. The vehicle was originally owned by the Osceola Police Department in Polk County, Wis., according to title records.RELATED: How did a religious, small-town Minnesota boy morph into an alleged political assassin? The stuff of nightmares: Vance Luther Boelter allegedly sought to kill 4 Minnesota lawmakers in the overnight hours on June 14, 2025. Photos by FBI and Liz Collin/Alpha News The suspect’s first stop just after 2 a.m. on June 14 was the Hoffman home in Champlin. According to Hennepin County prosecutors, the senator and his wife were able to push Vance Boelter out of the front entry of the home and close the door. He then allegedly fired at least nine shots through the door, striking the senator nine times and causing eight bullet wounds to Yvette Hoffman. In an interview with Blaze News from behind bars, Boelter claimed he opened fire on the Hoffmans only because they placed hands on him and he feared losing control of his weapon. Boelter said he had no intention of shooting anyone on June 14.‘There’s gonna be some people coming to the house armed and trigger-happy.’After finding his second alleged target in Maple Grove was not at home and being scared off from his third target by a New Hope Police Department squad car, Boelter allegedly drove to Brooklyn Park and the home of the Hortmans, the FBI said.He was at the front door speaking to Mark Hortman when Brooklyn Park police drove up about 3:30 a.m., prosecutors said. Boelter then shot Mark Hortman, forced his way inside the home, and gunned down Melissa Hortman and the family dog, prosecutors said.Boelter allegedly texted his wife and children about three hours after the murders and said, “Dad went to war last night.” In a separate text to Jenny Boelter, Vance Boelter apologized for creating the mayhem the family was about to face, police said.“Words are not gonna explain how sorry I am for this situation,” Boelter wrote, according to the FBI. “... There’s gonna be some people coming to the house armed and trigger-happy and I don’t want you guys around.”The FBI said Jenny Boelter took the children and fled the family home at her husband’s suggestion. Police were tracking her vehicle. Reached by phone, Jenny Boelter agreed to pull over and wait for law enforcement near Onamia, Minn. She gave police permission to search the family vehicle and her cell phone. In the vehicle, police found two handguns, ammunition, passports, and about $10,000 in cash. She was not detained and has not been charged in the case. Jenny Boelter retained the Halberg Criminal Defense law firm. On June 26, she released a statement saying she was “absolutely shocked, heartbroken, and completely blindsided” by the shooting rampage. “It is a betrayal of everything we hold true as tenets of our Christian faith. We are appalled and horrified by what occurred and our hearts are incredibly heavy for the victims of this unfathomable tragedy.”Like Blaze News?
