Florida Governor Ron DeSantis slammed the anti-Semitic protests that happened over the weekend at his alma mater‚ Yale‚ saying that it was disgraceful and that foreign students who were involved should be deported and American students who were involved should be expelled. DeSantis made the remarks when asked about the incidents at a press conference at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium where he announced investments for Everglades Restoration. “If I were in charge‚ I would send the Justice Department after those universities‚ because this is unacceptable to have this type of of anti-semitism‚ where it’s not just bad speech‚ they’re really targeting Jewish students‚” DeSantis said. “It’s a hostile environment and violates the civil rights of those students and these universities‚ they just aren’t willing to do what needs to be done.” The governor noted that in Florida the schools have codes of conduct that are enforced and would result in students being kicked out of school if they tried to hold an anti-Semitic event or similar event where people are harassed. “I think the students if they’re foreign students on visas‚ their visa should be canceled and they should be sent home. That should just happen‚” he said. “Second‚ if it’s students‚ American students‚ and they’re violating code of conduct‚ you start expelling people — the behavior will change.” “Right now‚ in higher education‚ particularly in those schools up there‚ the inmates run the asylum‚” he continued. “And so the students do this stuff‚ knowing there’s not gonna be any repercussions. The minute there’s repercussions‚ you will start to see a change in behavior. And so I think what’s going on up there‚ it’s disgraceful‚ but I think Biden has been very weak in basically allowing that to happen without getting the Department of Education and Department of Justice involved‚ which I would have done.” WATCH: The Biden Justice and Education Departments are asleep at the wheel regarding antisemitism on college campuses. Country star Morgan Wallen finally addressed being arrested for reckless endangerment after throwing a chair off the roof of a bar in downtown Nashville. In a post on X‚ the 30-year-old singer talked about his latest trouble and made it clear he wasn’t “proud” of what happened outside Chiefs Bar on April 7. “I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks‚” Wallen wrote. “I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement‚ my family‚ and the good people at Chief’s. He was booked at Metro Jail and later released‚ according to WKRN.  Police officers were reportedly standing in front of Chiefs Bar on Broadway at around 10:53 p.m. Sunday night when the chair crashed to the ground in front of them. The officers went inside to investigate‚ eventually determining that Wallen had thrown the chair‚ the outlet noted. Wallen’s attorney‚ Worrick G. Robinson‚ issued a statement later confirming the incident. “At 10:53 p.m. Sunday evening‚ Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct‚” the statement at the time read. “He is cooperating fully with authorities.” Wallen is currently on his “One Night at a Time Tour 2024‚” which kicked off at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on April 4. After the success of the tour in 2023‚ Wallen extended his touring schedule to include multiple U.S. stops throughout 2024. “Thank y’all for an insanely fun and fulfilling 2023 tour‚” Wallen said in a statement last September. “It was impossible for me to hit every stadium that I wanted to in 2023‚ so we’re gonna keep this tour going in 2024‚” he added. “See y’all out there&;#33;” In 2021‚ the country singer made headlines after he was caught on video using the N-word after a drunken night. The music industry immediately slammed him and said it was removing his music from numerous platforms‚ as The Daily Wire previously reported. The singer apologized and said he was both “embarrassed and sorry.” “I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back‚” Wallen shared at the time. “There are no excuses to use this type of language‚ ever.
