You might take for granted the easiness of using a password manager‚ but I can assure you that even if you're still using iCloud Keychain‚ everything isn't that fine. Over the years‚ I have lost passwords‚ had a hard time not finding the most up-to-date code‚ and even had to reset secret words because iCloud hadn't stored them. And now‚ with Passkeys‚ I have already locked myself out of some accounts because iCloud mysteriously didn't work with a previously saved passkey. I've been dreaming for years about a new kind of MacBook. It's a 2-in-1 device similar to Microsoft's Surface Pro‚ with a key difference. When in laptop mode‚ I'd get the full MacBook experience‚ running the latest macOS version complete with everything I love about it. But the tablet mode would let me detach the screen from the keyboard and get an iPad experience with iPadOS running on the tablet instead of macOS.  We already have a contraption like that out in the wild: Lenovo's ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid. Announced at CES‚ it's a device that offers the user two computers in one: A Windows laptop and an Android tablet. There's no telling if Apple will ever make something like this. Another leaker corroborates a new Apple Pencil is coming this March. This time‚ this rumor was shared by Weibo user Instant Digital (via MacRumors). Unfortunately‚ they don't share much besides the fact that Apple wants to unveil a new Pencil after over five years without an update. Instant Digital has a mixed track record‚ as they were right about the yellow iPhone 14 and regular iPhone 15 models frosted back glass. However‚ they were wrong about iOS 17 features and a possible iPad Air that could have been released last October. That said‚ this Weibo leaker isn't the only one predicting a new Apple Pencil. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman recently said at least one new model could be launched "in the next several weeks." Gurman was right about Apple not planning to hold an event this March‚ as he expected press releases instead of a keynote. While some people expected the new OLED iPad Pro to be unveiled as soon as today‚ Bloomberg's journalist has reported that it might come later this month‚ as a "special version of iOS 17.4 for the new iPad Pro isn't scheduled to be ready until the end of the month."
