Several people have died after a single-engine plane crashed near Interstate 40 in Nashville‚ Tennessee. The crash was reported around 7:44 p.m. Monday near mile marker 202 on I-40 and John C. Tune Airport. Officials say the pilot requested an emergency landing at the airport‚ saying they were experiencing engine problems. Metro Police reportedly said everyone on board the aircraft died in the crash. “Earlier this evening‚ a small single-engine airplane with the tail number N422RJ‚ departing from Huntsville‚ Alabama‚ crashed off the eastbound lanes of I-40 in Nashville‚ Tennessee‚ resulting in multiple fatalities‚” Rawsalerts posted. “According to reports‚ the aircraft experienced power and engine failures.
