Are the Media Still Ridin’ With Biden? MRCTV’s Stephanie Hamill Reacts On Fox

MRC’s Contributing Writer Stephanie Hamill was a guest on Wednesday’s Fox News at Night with host Trace Gallagher and Townhall managing editor Spencer Brown to discuss the latest polling trends and media bias in the 2024 presidential election.  During the segment Hamill reacts to podcast host Joe Rogan’s theory that the Democratic Party is setting up California Governor Gavin Newsom for a 2024 presidential run. Hamill: It's quite fascinating what Joe Rogan just said there. There are a lot of people who believe that Gavin Newsom is setting himself up for a presidential run in case Biden doesn't continue on. He's the plan B‚ if you will. As for the media and how they’re handling this‚ they are still supporting Biden in many ways‚ but some of the regular allies are starting to question whether or not Biden has it and if he's capable to be president again. We will have to continue to watch how they are treating this‚ but for now they're still with Biden. 89% of the coverage against former President Donald Trump is negative‚ and they are talking policy like immigration and doing the Russia stuff again — trying to compare Trump to a Russian stooge once again. MRC analysts found that the coverage continues to be lopsided‚ — and definitely not in Trump’s favor. Trump continues to be the center of attention on the major networks like ABC‚ CBS and NBC during their evening news coverage — receiving 89% negative coverage according to MRC's latest findings. This is a broadening of the networks’ hostile agenda as the media adjust their focus to the all-but-certain general election contest between Trump and President Biden. While most of Trump’s bad press is still associated with the various legal cases against him‚ the former President is now also being blasted with hostile coverage on immigration (86% negative) and Russia (95% negative). That’s a big change from last year‚ when the networks rarely discussed Trump’s stances on various policies.

Trans Activist Gets Arrested After Crashing Virginia March for Life

Seriously? Why can’t the loonie progressives allow Conservatives to have a single day without their rainbow washed tantrums!? On Wednesday‚ March for Life held an event in Richmond‚ Virginia‚ to honor life. This is one of the smaller-scale‚ state marches that accompany the national March for Life that takes place in Washington D.C. every year. During the Virginia event‚ a transgender activist violently blasted through the crowd with a trans flag. A few moments later‚ the trannie was arrested.  Students carried signs that read “Silence in the face of evil is evil itself” and were chanting “we are the pro-life generation” in unison as the trannie burst through. Student for Life’s Savanna Deretich captured the video where the mentally ill individual purposely slammed into marchers in a tank top and a hot pink bandana. Transgender activists ASSAULTS Pro-Life students at Virginia March for Life‚ GETS ARRESTED! pic.twitter.com/PTJnDcUoYa — Jesse Hughes ✝️🇺🇸 (@jhughes1776) February 21‚ 2024 Marchers were in shock at the assault. One had his glasses knocked straight off of his face and another was very obviously knocked off balance. Funny enough‚ it seems that the trannie was attempting to be a woman yet you could see his strong arms and manly wingspan. Not to mention his very obviously man-like strength if he had the ability to knock people off balance with a nudge … something a real lady may have trouble doing.  Jesse Hughes‚ host of the Jesse Hughes Show and Chairman of the Liberty University College Republicans was at the event and was disgusted by how rude and violent the protestor acted.  “It’s one thing to disagree with us and even to protest us. We can have a normal conversation in that light‚ but you can’t expect a reasonable conversation with unreasonable people. It shows just how unhinged many of these people are that they would scream in our face‚ bark like dogs‚ and physically attack us while we are trying to stand for those who can’t stand for themselves‚” Hughes told MRCTV. He’s right and it seems like Richmond cops agreed! Another video from the event showed the transgender individual being led away in handcuffs by two cops. Jeanne Mancini‚ March for Life president praised pro-life marchers for their  bravery and for peacefully sharing their views. “We are so grateful to our Virginia marchers who bravely and peacefully witnessed to the beauty of life today as well as the Richmond police for their professional work in keeping everyone safe. Violence is never the answer‚” she wrote in a tweet. The account Clown World phrased the situation best when it wrote “psychotic trans activist attacks peaceful students” and other groups and users consistently called the move an assault.  The March featured attendees like Governor Glenn Youngkin and speakers including veteran and pro-life advocate Nick Freitas and Lieutenant Governor of Virginia‚ Winsome Sears. As the March for Life continues its nationwide tour sharing the importance of being pro-life‚ let's hope and pray that these transgender tantrums don’t disrupt and attack people merely seeking to save innocent babies.

Kimmel Mourns Biden 'Not Getting Credit' In Election Versus 'Hair Mussolini'

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel lamented on his Wednesday show that Joe Biden has to convince people he is up to the job of being president despite doing “a pretty solid job” and running against “Hair Mussolini.” After playing a satirical public service announcement from Biden‚ Kimmel mourned‚ “You know‚ the president may be old‚ and he is old‚ but even though he‚ by just about every measure‚ is doing a pretty solid job of running the country‚ he's been steering us through some very rough waters. He's not getting credit for it.”     He's steering us through all the crises that he apparently had nothing to do with. Moving on‚ Kimmel continued in his lamentations by teeing up a Tuesday clip of CNN’s MJ Lee‚ “This is unlike any modern election we've had‚ and so now‚ with that in mind‚ and I think this is smart‚ he wants to make it clear to American voters that the choice we are being asked to make in November is between him and a lunatic.” Lee was then shown reporting that “what we've learned is that President Biden himself personally instructed some of his top campaign aides to be even more aggressive in highlighting some of President Trump's more inflammatory and wild comments. We are told that the thrust of the president's direction was to significantly ramp up the campaign's efforts to highlight the “crazy [bleep]” that Trump says in public.” Kimmel approved‚ “I think that’s very positive. Operation Crazy [bleep] is under way‚ but I think this is the right approach. It must be very frustrating for Joe Biden having all these people doubting whether he is fit to be in office when he's running against Hair Mussolini.” At this point‚ Biden would probably confuse Mussolini for Meloni in the same way he confused Mitterrand for Macron‚ Kohl for Merkel‚ and Egypt for Mexico. Here is a transcript for the February 21 show: ABC Jimmy Kimmel Live! 2/21/2024 11:38 PM ET JIMMY KIMMEL: You know‚ the president may be old‚ and he is old‚ but even though he‚ by just about every measure‚ is doing a pretty solid job of running the country‚ he's been steering us through some very rough waters. He's not getting credit for it. This is unlike any modern election we've had‚ and so now‚ with that in mind‚ and I think this is smart‚ he wants to make it clear to American voters that the choice we are being asked to make in November is between him and a lunatic.  MJ LEE: Yeah‚ Briana‚ what we've learned is that President Biden himself personally instructed some of his top campaign aides to be even more aggressive in highlighting some of President Trump's more inflammatory and wild comments. We are told that the thrust of the president's direction was to significantly ramp up the campaign's efforts to highlight the “crazy [bleep]” that Trump says in public.  KIMMEL: All right‚ well‚ that's – I think that’s very positive. Operation Crazy [bleep] is under way‚ but I think this is the right approach. It must be very frustrating for Joe Biden having all these people doubting whether he is fit to be in office when he's running against Hair Mussolini.

First on MRC: Warner Bros DEI Chief Officer Endorses Pushing Out Non-Woke Employees

The chief DEI executive of the massive media company that owns CNN‚ Warner Bros Discovery‚ advocated for radical leftist ideas and a future without those who oppose them during a Zoom call‚ MRC Business has learned. Warner Bros. Discovery Chief DEI Officer Dr. Asif Sadiq discussed the need to be “anti-racist” and for people to use their “privilege” during an Aspen Institute event titled “The Future of DEI in Corporate America” on Feb. 20. After host and Design Observer Editor-in-Chief Ellen McGirt suggested that certain people would always be unreceptive to DEI propaganda in the office‚ Sadiq gave his view on how companies can best deal with those dissenters: push them out.  “There’s always those few people who will never change. You will never convince them. You can try up until the end of eternity and it will still not happen‚” Saqid decried‚ before hinting at the ultimate solution: If you push DEI through cultural change‚ “hopefully those people who don’t want to come around will start saying that this place isn’t the way it used to be‚ and they’ll leave themselves—which is great.” Beyond Sadiq’s impressive commitment to creating a welcoming environment for all his employees‚ he also made clear that workers need to do more than their work at the office. “I think this is a moment where people have to show up as actively being anti-racist‚” Sadiq said‚ using a radical term popularized by racial discrimination enthusiast Henry “Ibram X. Kendi” Rogers. Sadiq continued to heap additional burdens on employees:  “And that requires going a bit further than saying‚ ‘That’s not me‚ so I’m just going to sit back.’ That requires you using your power‚ privilege and the positions you hold to try to create equity for marginalized groups‚ for historically marginalized groups and groups who haven’t had access‚ but that requires really stepping up. And it’s showing up as well‚ showing up internally‚ showing up to even to the structures that DEI has put in place‚ whether its business resource groups‚ employee resource groups‚ events‚ showing up during this period of time for a leader is critical‚ because it shows that you care and you are willing to learn.”  Aside from Sadiq and McGirt‚ the Zoom event included Goldman Sachs Chief Diversity Officer Megan Hogan‚ Harvard Business School Executive Fellow Deepa Purushothaman and UPenn Professor Lisa Fairfax. Fairfax‚ who spoke at the confirmation hearings of Supreme Court Justice Kentaji Brown Jackson‚ embraced several radical positions on DEI with no pushback from any of her co-hosts. Fairfax condemned any attempts to separate DEI initiatives from an obsession on race‚ calling such efforts “hurtful and concerning.”  Although UPenn President Liz Magill recently resigned after failing to condemn rampant leftist campus antisemitism‚ Fairfax complained that she “doesn’t understand” people who see DEI and fighting antisemitism as opposed to one another.  Conservatives are under attack! Contact ABC News (818) 460-7477‚ CBS News (212) 975-3247 and NBC News (212) 664-6192 and demand they report on the dangers of leftist DEI ideology infecting corporate America

Biden says he prefers his segregationist peers of yesteryear to House Republicans: 'These guys are worse'

President Joe Biden took a trip down memory lane this week in search of a group of people he prefers to House Republicans. He settled on segregationists. Biden has long demonized the Republicans presently attempting to hold his administration to task for failing to secure the border and for censoring Americans. In his notorious red-lit September 2022 speech at Independence Historical Park in Philadelphia‚ Biden claimed‚ "MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic." The geriatric Democrat has since expanded on this theme‚ stressing that the success of his top political rival and the Republicans who support him threatens "the brick and mortar of our democratic institutions." The geriatric Democrat made clear at a fundraising event in San Francisco Wednesday evening that his political opponents are worse than "real racists." While his remarks are not catalogued among the White House's archive of speeches‚ they were captured in a White House press pool report. "I've served with real racists‚" said Biden. "I've served with Strom Thurmond. I've served with all these guys that have set terrible records on race. But guess what? These guys are worse." According to Biden‚ House Republicans today are apparently worse than Democrats who sought to tear apart communities on the basis of race because they "do not believe in basic democratic principles." "By the time Strom left‚ he did terrible things‚" Biden reportedly went on to say‚ according to the New York Times. "I'm not making him more than he was. But my point is‚ at least you could work with some of these guys." Strom Thurmond was a segregationist lawmaker and war hero who served as the Democratic governor of South Carolina from 1947 to 1951. After a supposed softening of his controversial stances and a brief flirtation with Republican politics‚ he unsuccessfully ran for president as a Dixiecrat candidate. This is not the first time Biden has raised eyebrows reminiscing about his segregationist peers of ages past‚ and it's also not the first time he's invoked Thurmond to make a questionable point. Blaze News previously reported that Biden claimed last year he had convinced Thurmond — who opposed the two major versions of the Civil Rights Act passed in 1957 and 1964 — to vote for the Civil Rights Act "before he died." This revisionist history prompted questions both about Biden's cognitive decline and grasp on reality. Not only did Thurmond vote against both versions of the act‚ Biden did not enter politics until 1971 and did not become a senator until 1973. Biden and Thurmond apparently were not only close friends but in at least one instance saw eye to eye on segregation. Just as Thurmond opposed mandatory busing aimed at desegregating schools‚ the Washington Examiner noted that Biden similarly spoke in opposition to the policy in 1975‚ citing "black pride." The Times highlighted that Biden's efforts to rehabilitate the reputation of segregationist Democrats of yesteryear also got him in trouble ahead of the 2020 presidential election. At a New York City campaign fundraiser in June 2019‚ Biden fondly recalled in an affected Southern accent the "civility" of late Democratic Sens. James Eastland of Mississippi and Herman Talmadge of Georgia. Eastland said American blacks were an "inferior race." Talmadge indicated it would be better for schools to be shuttered than integrated. Hospital pauses IVF treatments after Alabama Supreme Court rules that embryos are children

Alabama's largest hospital recently announced it is halting in-vitro fertilization treatments after the state's supreme court ruled that embryos have the same rights as "unborn children‚" the Associated Press reported. On Wednesday‚ the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Alabama at Birmingham reportedly paused IVF services while it determines whether its patients or staff could face criminal charges or damages.Savannah Koplon‚ a spokesperson for the hospital‚ told the AP‚ "We are saddened that this will impact our patients' attempt to have a baby through IVF."Dr. Michael C. Allemand‚ a reproductive endocrinologist at Alabama Fertility‚ told the news outlet that he felt "disbelief‚ denial‚ all the stages of grief" in reaction to the court's recent decision."The moments that our patients are wanting to have by growing their families — Christmas mornings with grandparents‚ kindergarten‚ going in the first day of school‚ with little backpacks — all that stuff is what this is about. Those are the real moments that this ruling could deprive patients of‚" Allemand stated. The Medical Association of Alabama released a statement regarding the court's ruling."The significance of this decision impacts all Alabamians and will likely lead to fewer babies — children‚ grandchildren‚ nieces‚ nephews‚ and cousins — as fertility options become limited for those who want to have a family‚" the association wrote. "In addition‚ the ruling has already forced UAB‚ the largest healthcare system in the State of Alabama‚ to stop providing IVF services to Alabama couples. Others will likely do the same‚ leaving little to no alternatives for reproductive assistance. IVF is oftentimes the only option for couples wanting to conceive."Lawsuits filed in 2021 by three couples accused the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center and the Center for Reproductive Medicine of wrongful death‚ negligence‚ and breach of contract after their frozen embryos were accidentally destroyed‚ Blaze News previously reported.According to the complaints‚ a Mobile hospital patient entered the area where the embryos were stored‚ removed them from the freezer‚ and dropped them. As a result‚ all of the embryos died. The couples accused the hospital of "allow[ing] one of its patients to leave and/or elope from his or her room in the Infirmary's hospital area and access the cryogenic storage area.""It is believed that the cryopreservation's subzero temperatures burned the eloping patient's hands‚ causing him or her to drop the cryopreserved embryonic human beings on the floor‚ where they began to slowly die‚" the lawsuit continued. The state's Wrongful Death of a Minor Act "applies to all unborn children‚ regardless of their location‚" Justice Jay Mitchell wrote in his decision."The Wrongful Death of a Minor Act is sweeping and unqualified. It applies to all children‚ born and unborn‚ without limitation. It is not the role of this Court to craft a new limitation based on our own view of what is or is not wise public policy. That is especially true where‚ as here‚ the People of this State have adopted a Constitutional amendment directly aimed at stopping courts from excluding 'unborn life' from legal protection‚" Mitchell stated.Chief Justice Tom Parker agreed with Mitchell's opinion."When the People of Alabama adopted [the 'sanctity of life' provision of the state constitution]‚ they did not use the term 'inviolability‚' with its secular connotations‚ but rather they chose the term' sanctity‚' with all of its connotations‚" Parker wrote. "This kind of acceptance is not foreign to our Constitution‚ which in its preamble 'invok[es] the favor and guidance of Almighty God‚'… and which declares that 'all men … are endowed [with life] by their Creator.' The Alabama Constitution's recognition that human life is an endowment from God emphasizes a foundational principle of English common law‚ which has been expressly incorporated as part of the law of Alabama."Parker noted that "all human beings bear God's image from the moment of conception."Justice Greg Cook gave the only dissenting opinion and expressed concerns that the ruling could impact IVF treatments."No court — anywhere in the country — has reached the conclusion the main opinion reaches. And‚ the main opinion's holding almost certainly ends the creation of frozen embryos through in vitro fertilization ('IVF') in Alabama‚" Cook said.Like Blaze News? Americans across the country are experiencing drops in cell service‚ in some cases hindering 911 calls

Tens of thousands of Americans awoke Thursday morning to discover their cell phones were bereft of signal. In addition to being unable to touch base with friends‚ families‚ and coworkers‚ some users apparently were unable to hail 911. While those affected by the cascading cellular service outages appear to be predominantly AT&;T customers‚ clients of other service providers are reportedly experiencing issues. Around 3 a.m.‚ there was a spike in reports of AT&;T outages on the website Downdetector. As of 9:02 a.m. ET‚ there were over 73‚000 reporters of customers experiencing service issues. While Verizon‚ T-Mobile and other providers similarly saw spikes‚ Downdetector indicated they were orders of magnitude smaller. Verizon and T-Mobile maintain that their networks were unaffected and operating normally. A spokesman for T-Mobile told CBS News‚ "Downdetector is likely reflecting challenges our customers were having attempting to connect to users on other networks." "Some customers experienced issues this morning when calling or texting with customers served by another carrier‚" Verizon said in a statement obtained by the New York Times. "We are continuing to monitor the situation." While AT&;T has confirmed that it is experiencing rampant outages‚ it failed to provide an explanation for why the failure occurred in the first place‚ reported CNN. "Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning. We are working urgently to restore service to them‚" the company said in a statement. "We encourage the use of Wi-Fi calling until service is restored." A spokesman for the company indicated further that AT&;T's first responder network nevertheless remains operational. The outages prompted some speculation online about possibly wicked causes‚ such as an electromagnetic pulse strike or a cyberattack; however‚ an industry source who spoke to CNN under the condition of anonymity suggested the issue is likely linked to a process known as peering‚ whereby cellphone services pass off calls from one network to the next. CNN noted that the company was experiencing sporadic outages earlier this week‚ including a drop in 911 service in various southeastern states. Blaze News reached out to AT&;T for comment on the extent and cause of the outages as well as a projected timeline on a remedy but did not immediately receive a reply. Various municipalities and local authorities across the country have confirmed the outages‚ in some cases highlighting corresponding difficulties reaching first responders by phone. The City of Upper Arlington in Ohio noted that outages were affecting fire alarms‚ such that first responders "may not be notified of an activation." The city advised residents to follow up alarms with a 911 call "for the foreseeable future." The San Francisco Fire Department noted that while the San Francisco 911 center was still operational‚ 911 calls had reportedly been impacted for some customers. Various other official channels‚ including the X accounts for the City of Little Rock‚ Arkansas‚ the Rockville City Police Department of Maryland‚ and Orlando Police Department in Florida noted similar difficulties. A common recommendation: Use family or friends as proxies for 911 calls or call from a landline. Like Blaze News?
