Biden went on to focus on his administration’s plan to “protect” trans-identifying children, taking aim at states that have moved to puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and gender surgeries for minors. “Families across the country face excruciating decisions to relocate to a different State to protect their children from dangerous and hateful anti-LGBTQI+ laws, which target transgender children, threaten families, and criminalize doctors and nurses.  These bills and laws attack our most basic values and freedoms as Americans:  the right to be yourself, the right to make your own medical decisions, and the right to raise your own children.  Some things should never be put at risk:  your life, your safety, and your dignity,” the proclamation continued. “To the entire LGBTQI+ community — and especially transgender children — please know that your President and my entire Administration have your back.  We see you for who you are:  made in the image of God and deserving of dignity, respect, and support.” To the entire LGBTQI+ community – especially young trans Americans – know that your president and my entire Administration have your back. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) signaled an openness to being former President Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick when asked about the matter over the weekend. Cotton was asked about the matter during a Sunday interview on NBC News’ “Meet The Press” with guest host Peter Alexander. “You are reportedly on Donald Trump’s short list of possible running mates,” Alexander said. “Would you accept if Donald Trump asked you?” “Well, Peter, Donald Trump’s going to make this choice,” Cotton responded. “I suspect only he knows who’s on his short list.” He said that he has not talked to Trump or the Trump campaign about who Trump will pick as his vice presidential running mate or about any position in his administration. When asked if he would accept the job if offered it, Cotton responded: “Peter, any great patriot, if offered a chance to serve our country by the president, would have to consider it seriously. Former President Donald Trump has reportedly raised more than $200 million since a Manhattan jury returned a guilty verdict against him in court last week. The revelation was made by one of the president’s sons, Eric Trump, whose wife is Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump. Eric Trump was asked by Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures” about how much money the former president has raised since last Thursday’s verdict. “This might be a little inside information, but as I was leaving my house about 37 seconds ago, I asked my wife, what are we up to now?” he said. “And [Lara] said, just in terms of small dollar, we’re well over $70 million. This is $21 donations, $43 donations, right, small dollar donations.” “If you add the large dollar donations to it, you’re over $200 million,” he continued.
