Deadspin vilified a young Chiefs fan over face paint. The boy just did his painted victory dance in person at the Super Bowl.

Deadspin vilified a young Chiefs fan over face paint. The boy just did his painted victory dance in person at the Super Bowl.

Deadspin vilified a 9-year-old Kansas City Chiefs fan last year for wearing face paint to a game. The article‚ penned by Deadspin senior writer Carron Phillips‚ alleged the boy "found a way to hate Black people and Native Americans at the same time." The family of the traduced child filed a lawsuit against Deadspin last week. Fortunately‚ the boy did not have to wait until the suit's resolution for a major win. Holden Armenta donned more paint and feathers to support his team Sunday and watched them beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in person at Super Bowl LVIII. — (@) According to the Washington Examiner‚ a group led by Patriots Prayer host Eddie Smith along with "Skin in the Game" co-hosts Maurice — known online as the Native Patriot — and Anthony Chavez raised over $11‚000 to send Armenta to the big game. Their GiveSendGo campaign noted‚ "We believe in supporting Holden's Superbowl [sic] dream to counteract the unjust treatment he received from the media. Our goal is to send Holden to the Superbowl‚ allowing him to experience the joy of being a dedicated Chiefs fan without the shadow of false accusations." Maurice told the Examiner‚ "Just the demonization that that kid went through and that family went through. I wanted to turn something dark into something light for them‚ so that way he can go back out there and basically get a second shot." — (@) Blaze News previously reported that Holden Armenta was smeared by Deadspin's Carron Phillips after wearing an Indian headdress to a November 2023 game between the Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders. The original article — which has since been partially revised but nevertheless maintains its initial argument — was entitled‚ "The NFL needs to speak out against the Kansas City Chiefs fan in Black face‚ Native headdress." Holden Armenta‚ a child of Chumash Indian heritage‚ had dared to wear his favorite team's colors to the Chiefs-Raiders game on Nov. 26. Extra to his jersey and an Indian headdress‚ he painted one side of his face red and the other side black. The Deadspin article featured an image of the child in profile such that only the black-painted side of his face could be seen. Phillips' article started off weighed down with presumptions: "It takes a lot to disrespect two groups of people at once. But on Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas‚ a Kansas City Chiefs fan found a way to hate Black people and the Native Americans at the same time." Phillips exploited this false narrative to suggest that "this is what happens when you ban books‚ stand against Critical Race Theory‚ and try to erase centuries of hate. You give future generations the ammunition they need to evolve and create racism better than before." In addition to slamming the child‚ Phillips‚ who still writes for Deadspin‚ insinuated that Holden Armenta's family "taught" the boy to hate black people and Indians. When critics lashed out at Phillips and Deadspin over their hit piece targeting a child‚ Phillips doubled down‚ accusing his critics of being racist as well. The family filed a lawsuit in the Superior Court of the State of Delaware on Feb. 6 seeking damages and a "narrowly-tailored injunction" prohibiting the republication of any statement or image found by the jury to be false and defamatory. The suit stressed that the hit piece "maliciously and wantonly" attacked "a nine-year-old boy and his parents for Phillips' own race-drenched political agenda." A race-obsessive writer evidently couldn't hold Holden Armenta down. Footage shows the boy decked out in his Indian war paint and headdress leaving a Nevada hotel with his father for the game. In addition to showing off his ceremonial touchdown dance‚ Holden also demonstrated his practiced tomahawk chop. Shannon Armenta‚ the boy's mother‚ indicated in a pregame video‚ "We are so grateful to everyone who has supported our family. It means the world to us‚ so thank you. Eddie Smith said‚ "On to the next one‚ guys. This is just one victory in many." Skin in the game live holden going to the Super Bowl https://t.co/XMINB40cTE — (@) The Native Patriot wrote in a Sunday afternoon post to X‚ "I feel blessed and honored to be part of this movement. We have taken a dark smear against a child and turned it into something incredible! ... I believe this is a huge win against cancel culture‚ and against the dark side of the media that only wishes to destroy‚ smear‚ and defame." My immediate reaction to this.

I feel blessed and honored to be a part of this movement. We have taken a dark smear against a child and turned it into something incredible!

The Armenta’s are amazing people. I’m blessed to have met them.

Every one that took a part… — (@) Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Declassified: Biden's memoir sparks legal firestorm

If Joe Biden has accomplished anything during his presidency‚ it’s letting the world know he isn’t the brightest commander in chief. First it was the incessant gaffes and his poor policy decisions‚ and now it’s documenting classified information and sharing it with a ghostwriter for his memoir. This sparked a classified investigation into the potential legal ramifications of his actions. The investigation uncovered evidence that Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials that included military and national security information. However‚ In special counsel Robert Hur’s report‚ he concludes that Biden will not face any charges. “This report is filled with damning indictments against Joe Biden‚ multiple violations of the Espionage Act‚ one after another after another‚ a black-and-white case‚” Mark Levin says‚ disturbed by Hur’s conclusion. In the report‚ it’s claimed that Biden would not be charged because of his deteriorating mental state. “We wouldn’t charge him because he’s an imbecile‚” Levin scoffs. “If only Donald Trump had such a prosecutor.” Biden went on to say in a press conference that he did not willfully retain and disclose classified materials. “He’s a serial liar‚” Levin says‚ adding that “apart from the mental problems‚ he’s got character problems.” Want more from Mark Levin? To enjoy more of "the Great One" — Mark Levin as you've never seen him before — subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America‚ defend the Constitution‚ and live the American dream.

California teen vanishes during layover at Denver International Airport after visiting mental health center in Montana

A teen girl who was supposed to get on a flight back home to California never made it onto the flight. The authorities said the last time she was seen was during a layover at Denver International Airport‚ according to Fox News Digital.Harper Cadman‚ 15‚ went missing at the Denver International Airport on January 30‚ according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The organization said‚ "Harper never got on her flight back home and is believed to still be in the Denver or Boulder‚ Colorado‚ area."Cadman was reportedly last seen at 8:27 a.m. when she landed in Denver on January 30 for a layover en route back to California. Cadman's mother‚ Ari Petronelli‚ took to Facebook‚ writing: "I am sick to my stomach writing this‚ and I never thought that I would ever have to post another missing flier of my own child but if anything this last year has taught me is that life just doesn't make sense."The New York Post reported that Cadman was making her way back home to California after visiting Montana to receive mental health treatment. However‚ she never made it onto her United Airlines flight home. Though the teen girl's luggage successfully made it back to Los Angeles‚ she has not been heard from or seen in almost two weeks. Authorities are operating under the assumption that Cadman could be in the Denver or Boulder areas.Petronelli wrote: "My sister and I spent last week searching Denver and Boulder‚ speaking with detectives‚ advocates‚ the unhoused‚ and ‘street kids.'"“What we saw was a very cold‚ scary‚ and dangerous situation for anyone but especially an at-risk 15-year-old girl who was last seen wearing just a sweater with leggings and no belongings‚” she added.“Harper does not know anyone in Colorado and has only been when she was 8 years old for a vacation so she is not familiar with the area‚” Patronelli said. She went on to say that Cadman has gone missing in the past. The teen is reportedly 5'7" and weighs 115 pounds. She has blue eyes‚ dyed black hair‚ and facial piercings and tattoos. She also has braces. The report also mentioned that Cadman did not have a bag or anything with her at the time of her disappearance.Like Blaze News? Instagram and Threads to stop recommending political content and creators by default

Some of Mark Zuckerberg's Meta products will default to not recommending political content or political pages in hopes of fostering a "great experience" for their users.Instagram and Threads‚ Meta's competitor to Elon Musk's X‚ announced that they would reduce the default amount of new political content to users to exactly zero. Any content from accounts deemed to be political that a user does not already follow will not be suggested or placed in recommended sections."We want Instagram and Threads to be a great experience for everyone. If you decide to follow accounts that post political content‚ we don’t want to get between you and their posts‚ but we also don’t want to proactively recommend political content from accounts you don’t follow‚" Instagram wrote in a press release. The platforms won’t push such content on "recommendation surfaces across Instagram and Threads‚" but users will be able to opt in to seeing the suggested materials. The press release attached an image that showed Instagram's settings‚ where "political content" is set to "limit" by default‚ with the option to select "don't limit."Political content is likely to mention "governments‚ elections‚ or social topics that affect a group of people and/or society at large‚" the platform described. This public display of cutting off growth of political channels included hiding them from recommended content streams such as the explore page‚ short-form videos known as Reels‚ and recommendations on the user's feed‚ as well as preventing any new political channels from appearing in one's Suggested Users section."It doesn’t change how we show people content from accounts they choose to follow‚" the platform justified. "If political content ... is posted by an account that is not eligible to be recommended‚ that account’s content can still reach their followers in Feed and Stories."Instagram then suggested that users could delete any recently posted political content in order to be eligible for recommendations once again. As founder Zuckerberg continues to move away from politics on his platforms and toward augmented reality‚ the company has seen record revenue.During the fourth quarter of 2023‚ Meta made an impressive $40.1 billion‚ a quarterly revenue record. This as Zuckerberg has endured heavy accusations from federal authorities over alleged child abuse and exploitation through the use of Meta's platforms.Zuckerberg took verbal beatings in a recent hearing from senators like Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley‚ who questioned him on the basis of the alleged scandals. In addition‚ 2023 saw Meta begin to block news and political content on their platforms in Canada. The Canadian government ruled that Meta needed to pay news companies for bringing content to the apps‚ to which Meta quickly responded by disabling such content in the country. The company's latest move is sure to push political creators further away from the apps should they hope to garner income from their productions.Like Blaze News? Thanks to our rapidly growing PC building Facebook page‚ we’ve seen many custom gaming PCs‚ from mods based on existing case designs to scratch PC builds. You can even submit yours for consideration right here. But first‚ let's find out more about this Borderlands PC from Ivan himself. New Cooler Master gaming monitor is ultra budget‚ still hits 100Hz

Instead‚ Cooler Master thinks it might have nailed the new expectation for a budget gaming monitor with its new GA2501‚ and it manages to hit 100Hz despite its cost-saving measures. Cooler Master is intentionally steering clear of competing against the higher-tier products that appear on our best gaming monitors list‚ instead targeting gamers who are looking to sacrifice some features in order to save some cash.
