Utah Governor Spencer Cox has endorsed Donald Trump in a reversal of previous statements he has made about the former president. 

President Joe Biden is reportedly seething at former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for not standing by him as he fights for his political life following his disastrous debate performance against former President Donald Trump late last month. Pelosi met with dozens of Democratic lawmakers earlier this month to discuss next steps if Biden decides to drop out of the presidential amid facing serious concerns over mental fitness for office, Politico reported. One of the topics of discuss is how “party elites” anointing Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democrats’ presidential candidate could have damaging repercussions for the party come November. More than three dozen Democratic U.S. lawmakers have called for Biden to end his presidential campaign as he continues to fall further behind Trump in polling. CNN’s Kaitlan Collins reported Friday night that Biden was “seething tonight, with much of his anger directed at Nancy Pelosi.” “That’s because some of the names that are calling for him to drop out of the race are her close allies in the view from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, tonight where President Biden finds himself,” she added. Numerous top Democrats, including Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), former President Barack Obama, and others all have encouraged Biden to strongly consider whether he has a realistic shot at beating Trump this fall. CNN reported last week that in the future it will become “far more apparent than currently known” just how much Obama and Pelosi had their “fingerprints” all over the efforts to pressure Biden to drop out of the race.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) called on Congress to yank funding away from the U.S. Secret Service after it failed to prevent former President Donald Trump from being shot during an assassination attempt last week at a political rally in Pennsylvania. Roy made the remarks during a Friday interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham on “The Ingraham Angle” while discussing the tragic shooting, which resulted in one person being instantly killed in the crowd and two more critically injured. “Right now the president of the United States – the former president, and hopefully soon-to-be present of the United States – is alive not because of what Secret Service did, but because he providentially turned his head,” Roy said. “That’s the truth. The fact is the American people are sick of it. They are sick of Lloyd Austin still having a job after Afghanistan. Pete Buttigieg after derailments and boats hitting in bridges. Sick of the FBI and sick of the intel community – all of these people keep their jobs. And now the Secret Service endangers the former president and the sitting Republican nominee and they are acting like nothing happened. Roy highlighted the Secret Service’s numerous failures at the rally, including doing nothing when he flew a drone over the rally to do surveillance. “But here’s the deal, we have to stop funding it,” he added. “We have to stop giving these people jobs. We have to hold them accountable. And to your point, I’m glad Mike Johnson said we need one task force. We need to funnel it through one organized effort in the House.” WATCH: Rep. Biden White House senior adviser Keisha Lance Bottoms claimed during an interview this week that she experienced “PTSD” from former President Donald Trump’s lengthy speech at the Republican National Convention this week. Bottoms, who is the former mayor of Atlanta, made the remarks during a CNN interview on Friday with John Berman where she was asked if she thinks that President Joe Biden can beat Trump. “Donald Trump couldn’t even last 30 minutes pretending to act as if he had good sense. Donald Trump is still Donald Trump. And that’s what we should expect,” she claimed. “I had PTSD watching Donald Trump give that speech last night because I was mayor while Donald Trump was in the Oval Office, and it was a disaster trying to govern a city with the instability that was coming outside of the White House.” “So, I do believe that Donald Trump is beatable,” she continued. “I do believe that we can hold on to the Senate. I do believe that we can hold on to the House. There was this red wave that was expected during the midterms. It didn’t happen. People thought that Joe Biden wouldn’t be our nominee in 2020.
