CNN’s top data analyst said this week that the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office prosecution of former President Donald Trump has not changed voter’s minds of the former president. Harry Enten reported that as the trial comes to an end that the percentage of voters who believe that Trump may have done something illegal has not changed, while the percentage of Americans who think the charges are serious actually dropped from 40% to 35%. “Perhaps things might have changed with those 12 jurors, but when it comes to the larger American public, there has been no change, at least so far,” he explained. When asked why nothing has changed, he said that Americans largely do not care about the case because they are worried about much bigger problems in their own lives. “Well, folks like you and me, real news junkies might be paying really close attention to what is going on,” he said. He said that more Americans are following the news about the economy and inflation, 65%, immigration, 52%, election legitimacy, 49%, and abortion, 47%, than they are about Trump’s court cases, which came in at 42%. “When we are looking at these numbers, what we see is Americans’ minds aren’t changing and a big reason why Americans’ minds aren’t changing is at this particular point, they are tuned out of the conversation,” he said. He added that Trump’s polling lead over Biden pre-trial, which CNN says was +1 point, remains the same as the trial comes to an end. The Islamic Republic of Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, wrote a letter on Wednesday announcing its support for the left-wing protests that have disrupted college campuses across the U.S. and for the professors responsible for indoctrinating their students with anti-Semitism. The protests that erupted in April led to encampments popping up at various top universities across the U.S. as Jewish students and law enforcement were attacked and the protesters called for the destruction of the state of Israel and, in some cases, went further by calling for an “Intifada,” which is a terrorist attack against Jews or the state of Israel. Professional agitators helped whip up the chaos at many of the schools, according to various law enforcement officials. “Dear university students in the United States of America, this message is an expression of our empathy and solidarity with you. As the page of history is turning, you are standing on the right side of it,” wrote Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in a letter that was posted to state-run media. “You have now formed a branch of the Resistance Front and have begun an honorable struggle in the face of your government’s ruthless pressure — a government which openly supports the usurper and brutal Zionist regime,” the letter continued. “The greater Resistance Front which shares the same understandings and feelings that you have today, has been engaged in the same struggle for many years in a place far from you.” The propaganda letter made numerous false claims about the history of the conflict between the Palestinians and Israel, and it portrayed the Palestinian people as the victims of terrorism when, in reality, they join terrorist groups and launch attacks against Israel. “The support and solidarity of your professors is a significant and consequential development,” he later added. “This can offer some measure of comfort in the face of your government’s police brutality and the pressures it is exerting on you. The City of San Francisco removed a historic “Appeal To Heaven” flag that flew outside of city hall amidst a left-wing smear campaign against the flag and a Supreme Court justice. The New York Times claimed that the flag was linked to the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, and a left-wing pressure campaign has emerged to try to force Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito to recuse himself from cases surrounding the 2020 presidential election because the flag had previously been flown at Alito’s beach home. “This flag was originally used during the American Revolutionary War, flown by George Washington’s cruisers, and is associated with the early quest for American independence,” claimed San Francisco Recreation and Parks communications manager Daniel Montes. “It’s since been adopted by a different group-one that doesn’t represent the city’s values, so we made the decision to swap it with the American flag.” The flag dates back to the American Revolution when George Washington gave six ships the flags as they operated under his command intercepting British ships, according to a report from ABC 7 San Francisco, which added that the flag was the official maritime flag of Massachusetts from 1776 to 1971. Alito responded to the pressure campaign by noting that it was his wife’s decision to fly the flag and that she has protected First Amendment rights just like every other American. “I recall that my wife did fly that flag for some period of time, but I do not remember how long it flew,” he said in part of his recusal. “And what is most relevant here, I had no involvement in the decision to fly that flag. My wife is fond of flying flags. I am not. My wife was solely responsible for having flagpoles put up at our residence and our vacation home and has flown a wide variety of flags over the years. His mother, Felicia Aquilo, was particularly touched by some of the things he’s told her about how he experiences his disability.
