“I Was Getting Bullied By More Staff Than Students.” Man Uses His Book To Shine Light On How Autism Is Misunderstood.

This story was submitted to InspireMore by Bobby Latheron. Like many others who are autistic‚ Bobby Latheron has known for most of his life that there was something that made him different from his peers. As a child‚ he often preferred spending time with adults. But as he got older‚ he’d get bullied for his autism — not just by kids‚ but the very adults who were meant to protect him. “I felt like I was getting bullied by more staff than students and I used to come home crying‚” Bobby tells InspireMore. Throughout school‚ Bobby struggled. He suffered from panic attacks that would cause him to run out of the room crying. Rather than having empathy‚ teachers labeled him a “naughty child.” Then‚ at around 13 years old‚ he was officially diagnosed with autism. But because autism is still so misunderstood‚ this didn’t improve his situation by much. TikTok Child Bullied for his Autism Struggles in School Still‚ Bobby persevered and made it to university. But after a while‚ he struggled academically here‚ too. Things were looking up when he switched to art‚ design‚ and photography‚ but he simply couldn’t do it. That’s when a kind teacher changed his life for the better. “I was telling one of the music teachers about my life with autism — my relationships and my struggles‚” Bobby tells InspireMore. “So she said‚ ‘Why don’t you write a book about your life?’ So I did.” Instagram This is how My World in my Words by Bobby Latheron came to be. When writing this book‚ Bobby remained incredibly focused. In fact‚ he kept it a secret until it was ready. “Two years later‚ without telling anyone‚ my book was out in Waterstones in Middlesbrough and online as well at Amazon and eBay‚” Bobby shares with InspireMore. Bobby’s Book Sheds Light on Life With Autism Finding the inspiration to write his first book has changed Bobby’s life in so many ways. He’s met others who are like himself‚ plus‚ he’s even managed to secure a job he loves. He’s a support worker for an autism charity called MAIN. Instagram My World in my Words is an autobiography that contains Bobby’s real-life experiences‚ song lyrics‚ scripts‚ and more. With it‚ he aims to help others understand what life is actually like with autism. Writing this book has opened up so many doors for Bobby. He’s even given multiple interviews for various news and radio stations. Instagram Best of all‚ this new direction in life has given Bobby the opportunity to help others like him to feel less alone and‚ in doing so‚ he’s proven to himself that he’s far more capable than he once believed. “I’m not here to say it’s always been perfect and that I haven’t made mistakes‚” Bobby tells InspireMore‚ “but you have to learn in life.” You can find the sources of this story’s featured image here and here! Man Asks ChatGPT To Write Resignation Letter As Moira Rose From “Schitts Creek” And It’s Hilarious.

Michael Judson Berry has a reputation for incredible Moira Rose impersonations‚ and sometimes‚ he uses an AI pal to help create some fun content. Check out this clip of ChatGPT channeling a Moira Rose voice for a resignation letter — it’s totally hilarious! View this post on Instagram A post shared by Michael Judson Berry (@mjudsonberry) Moira Rose is an iconic character from the TV show Schitt’s Creek. She’s known for her ridiculous language and funny pronunciations. Her accent is one-of-a-kind‚ but ChatGPT seemed to do a pretty good job channeling “Moira Rose voice.” For one‚ the resignation letter began with an overly formal and ever-so-Moira greeting. “My Esteemed Colleagues‚” the letter began‚ “It is with a doleful heart yet innately dramatic flourish as I pen this epistle to announce my departure from [workplace].” This image is from Instagram. Obviously‚ this is Moira Rose’s voice to a tee. The resignation went on to include hilarious allusions to the show‚ like calling her boss her “bebes.” Michael Judson Berry nailed the editing‚ and the result was a perfect representation of the iconic Moira Rose voice. “It’s the referring to her coworkers as ‘supporting cast.’ Moira is the lead of every staff she chooses to entertain‚” commented one fan of the resignation letter. While this might not be the best resignation letter for the average Joe‚ it absolutely nailed Moira’s hilarious voice. What do you think? Would you use this as inspiration? Top 10 Bruce Springsteen Album Covers

I think I speak for many Bruce Springsteen fans like myself when I say that‚ for the most part‚ Bruce Springsteen’s album covers were never really that important to us when we originally bought his albums. Especially during the ’70s‚ ’80s‚ and ’90s‚ we were just happy to get a new Bruce Springsteen album. They didn’t come around too often. Of course‚ much thought went into Bruce Springsteen’s album covers from the boss man himself. This was a man who took a lot of time between albums trying to find just the right mix of songs that fit the voice The post Top 10 Bruce Springsteen Album Covers appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

Top 10 Boston Songs

The first time I heard the band Boston was in late 1976 when the band released their first album and instantly began garnishing radio play with the single “More Than a Feeling.” The 1970s was a time period in which bands were breaking ground all the time with unique sounds that fans had never heard of before. Some of those unique sounds were based on developing new audio devices and recording techniques. The Beatles broke ground with recording techniques with bouncing tracks to create more tape space for additional tracks. That concept gave artists more creative freedom in arrangments and The post Top 10 Boston Songs appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

Natural Selection Has Changed The European Genome In The Last 3‚000 Years

Natural selection shapes all life on Earth. As the world around them changes‚ organisms that can adapt have a better chance of reproducing. Humans are no exception – and while a few examples of recent evolution are known‚ we lack a deeper understanding of how the human genome is being shaped by natural selection. The findings are a small step in better understanding human evolution. The researchers behind the study aimed to understand how the natural selection of complex traits unfolded. The team looked at 870 human traits that are created by multiple genes‚ finding that 755 of them were altered due to natural selection in the last 2‚000 to 3‚000 years. The team was led by Weichen Song from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The researchers used modern human genetic data from the UK Biobank and Psychiatric Genomics Consortium. They compared this data to ancient genomic DNA from across Europe and the Near-East‚ providing insights into changes in the human genome across the last 45‚000 years. The team's most intriguing finding showed that skin pigmentation‚ body measurement‚ and dietary traits were "continuously under intense selection pressure" across the time scales investigated. Pressures for skin color are due to a balancing act of reducing ultraviolet damage‚ important vitamin D requirements‚ and heat regulation. In fact‚ one of the earliest Britons‚ the Cheddar Man‚ had dark skin.Body measurement and dietary traits have also been changed by genetic factors‚ together with external pressures such as ecology‚ climate‚ and migration. The team also found that certain diseases have not been phased out quite as efficiently as one would expect. The genetic factors associated with conditions such as anorexia nervosa and inflammatory bowel disease were being suppressed‚ but cases persisted.  While the findings are intriguing‚ the team considers them just a preliminary foundational step needed for more detailed work. The study is limited by the use of genomes from the UK‚ which predominantly included people of European ancestry. It was also limited by the ancient genomes employed. The work also is limited by the methodology of genome-wide association studies which do not distinguish between association and causality. The Human Genome Project was finished in 2003‚ so a complete analysis of the human genome is not even 20 years old – many mysteries remain to be uncovered in it‚ and how it has been shaped by evolutionary forces. The study is published in the journal Nature Human Behavior. An earlier version of this article was published in November 2021.

New York Times Sets Up Scary Israel Lobby Against Plucky Pro-Hamas 'Ceasefire' Pushers

Saturday’s New York Times featured an absurd piece of anti-Israel‚ pro-ceasefire propaganda‚ headlined “As Gaza Death Toll Mounts‚ Groups Urging Israel-Hamas Cease-Fire Are Outmatched‚” by Kate Kelly‚ who covers “money‚ policy and influence” for the paper. Kelly set up The Friends Committee‚ part of “Washington’s peace lobby‚” as a plucky little underdog against AIPAC‚ much like the left tries to make terrorist Hamas sympathetic against big bad Israel‚ which was the actual victim. She dutifully forwarded the group’s propaganda. Amazingly‚ nowhere in her call for unilateral ceasefire‚ which would benefit Hamas‚ was mentioned the major ceasefire sticking point: The hundred or so Israeli hostages still held by Hamas. When the American Israel Public Affairs Committee‚ the most influential pro-Israel group in the United States‚ wants to use its muscle‚ it can call on its considerable resources to run negative ads against lawmakers who oppose its agenda and pour money into funding a challenger. When the Friends Committee on National Legislation‚ a Quaker group that is pushing for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas‚ wants to push its message‚ its Middle East lobbyist turns to tactics like playing guitar with schoolchildren in the occupied West Bank and sharing video messages about their fears with members of Congress on Capitol Hill. Going up against the many forces backing Israel is a challenge for any group. But the clash is especially striking when it comes to the Friends Committee‚ whose antiwar positions are in sync with much of the left of the Democratic Party but run counter to Biden administration policy in the wake of the Hamas terror attack and face intense opposition on the right. AIPAC‚ founded about 70 years ago to promote Israel’s interests in the U.S.‚ is a juggernaut. Last year‚ its nonprofit arm reported more than $73 million in revenue…. The Times much prefers groups like the Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)‚ an Islamic pressure group masquerading as a Muslim civil rights organization linked to terrorism by Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) and others and whose leader Nihad Awad declared himself happy about the October 7 massacre. The group has draped a banner stating “Ceasefire Now!” in English‚ Arabic and Hebrew on the facade of its Second Street office‚ which faces the Hart Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill. “We’re clearly being outspent‚ but I think the saving grace is that our ideas are just more popular‚” said Hassan El-Tayyab‚ the Friends Committee’s Middle East legislative director. The paper liked that quote so much it used it as a photo caption‚ topping the page online. As Congress grapples with providing more aid to Israel‚ the Friends Committee and its political allies are pushing for an immediate cease-fire‚ more humanitarian aid for Gazans‚ continued funding for the U.N. aid group UNRWA and a cleareyed assessment of Israel’s human rights record. Kelly didn’t even mention the dozen UNRWA employees counted among the terrorists who invaded Israel October 7. Instead‚ she painted a sinister picture about the Jewish lobbying group‚ even referencing Barack Obama‚ who was and remains hostile to Israel‚ during and after his presidency. AIPAC‚ which is supporting scores of Democrats and Republicans for re-election this cycle‚ is well known -- and feared -- in Washington. “Members of both parties worried about crossing the American Israel Public Affairs Committee‚” former President Barack Obama wrote in his 2020 memoir‚ echoing a refrain heard from lawmakers today. AIPAC has recently run harsh ads spotlighting some lawmakers’ refusal to condemn the Oct. 7 terror attacks carried out by Hamas. It plans to challenge incumbents like Representatives Ilhan Omar‚ Democrat of Minnesota‚ and Jamaal Bowman‚ Democrat of New York‚ whose stances on Israel and the Palestinians it disagrees with. Why shouldn’t ads against “progressive” terror supporters be “harsh”? ….As the Gazan health ministry reports [Editor’s Note: That would be Hamas] that more than 28‚000 Palestinians have been killed‚ Mr. El-Tayyab and his fellow peace lobbyists are pushing for a cease-fire not only on moral grounds‚ but also on practical ones. Leftist media outlets too often inaccurately describe taking the side of terrorists as a "peace" platform. The way Kelly pushed “peace” echoes the ironic line from Tacitus‚ “….where they create a desert‚ they call it peace.” Kelly cowrote a hit piece of a book on Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh‚ which was quickly and thoroughly discredited by journalist Mollie Hemingway.
