A Texas Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter (DAR) has decided to fight back against its national organization’s decision to allow trans-identifying males into the historic female group. In a letter from the Martha Laird Chapter — with help from the Center for American Liberty (CAL) — it has pushed back against a threat from its leadership that by prohibiting transgender males, the DAR would somehow lose its tax-exempt status, Fox News reported. The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles previously revealed — in a viral thread on X — how a group of daughters were “channeling their rebellious spirit of their forebears” by fighting back “this time building a larger, grassroots effort to affirm the original intent of the bylaws and prevent men from continuing to invade their genealogical society.” Knowles shared details of an internal DAR FAQ document which said that “members are expected to pretend that ‘transgender women’ have always been eligible and that their inclusion took place ‘organically,’ as if implicit in bylaws written before ‘transgenderism’ was even thought to exist.” “Members have been told that in order to keep our nonprofit status we must allow men who submit an altered birth certificate indicating they are female to be eligible members,” a letter on the DAR Facebook page read. “Our hope is that once members and the NBOM [National Board of Management] can feel confident that our nonprofit status is not in jeopardy, they will no longer feel intimidated and vote to allow this bylaw amendment to be heard at Continental Congress,” it added. The Martha Laird Chapter — with the endorsement of eleven other Chapters — in September 2024 submitted a second proposed bylaw amendment to prohibit all men, including trans-identifying males, from the group, after a prior one was rejected on the basis that it would put their nonprofit status in jeopardy, the letter noted. The new proposed bylaw amendment says, “A woman is defined as a biological female at conception, having naturally occurring X chromosomes, exclusive of Y chromosomes, and certified as female or girl on the original birth certificate. NSDAR and its chapters may not discriminate against an eligible applicant.” On February 8, the DAR NBOM now must consider this amendment and if approved it will go up for a vote by the entire DAR membership at the Continental Congress this summer, the outlet noted. “We will continue doing this every year until we at least get a vote at the Continental Congress,” Laura McDonald, member of the Martha Laird DAR Chapter, said. “That’s the only fair and transparent way to handle this.” “Everybody is realizing that this trans ideology, this agenda to have men infiltrate women’s spaces, is starting to not be popular anymore, and it’s not as accepted,” she added. "I heard my friend gasp so I looked over at him and he was looking forward into the trail. Something was crouched down on the edge of the trail."The following account was forwarded to me:“Two friends and I were walking on a trail in the woods near Lake Camelot, Illinois at 10 pm on October 25, 2017. We usually walk on the trail all of the time so it isn’t something new or different to us. It isn’t like a paved out trail more like a trail we made ourselves because we walk the same path every time. I had a flashlight on and my two other friends did not.I was pointing my flashlight to the left of me into the woods not really paying attention to what was in front of me because we usually don’t see anything odd. But I heard my friend gasp so I looked over at him and he was looking forward into the trail. I pointed the flashlight where he was looking and something was crouched down on the edge of the trail.It was on the left side of the trail facing our direction. It looked very alert and frozen when we saw it and it saw us. I didn’t see it move and my friends didn’t either but we decided to run back the way we came from after we ran around 20 feet back we looked back and didn’t see anything.My description of what we saw is a gray, small to medium-sized creature. I’d say around 4-5 feet tall but it was crouched down. The arms were not very skinny like some online pictures of aliens the arms were very defined and a little bit muscular. The arms looked human-like with 5 fingers. The legs on the other hand looked less human-like. I couldn’t see the feet but the shape and direction of the legs reminded me of frog legs. I couldn’t see the torso very well either.The head was around the same proportion as a human head but the shape of the head was square with one point on each side of the head. I couldn’t identify if those were ears or something else. The creature was gray and either had no hair or very short hair. My two friends said it didn’t have hair but I thought it had short hair.From what I saw the eyes were fully black. I didn’t see many features in the face.It didn’t move and it didn’t make any sounds when we saw it although we heard squeaking noises earlier while walking. We thought it was a baby great horned owl but looking back at it they don’t sound like what we heard.It just stared straight at us and we left and then turned around and didn’t see it again. A man in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania has a strange encounter with deer-like being in his backyard. The eyes change colors and it responds to his commands.The following account was forwarded to me:I live in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. For a while, there have been strange occurrences around, but recently was the most real and convincing occurrence that there is a cryptid. Basically my girlfriend vacationed at a place where there was known to be Seneca tribes, so I didn't if she brought something back. Anyway, she’s over tonight and I live with another friend FYI. Anyway, we take our dog out and our motion lights aren’t triggered when all of a sudden there’s a hissing sound right next to us and the bushes shake. We rush the dog in as we have no idea what it could be. This area is prone to raccoons and deer and some coyotes.My friend and I go outside with weapons and flashlights, as our dog is partially blind and has a bad leg so we can’t risk him being attacked. Along with that there is a guy in our rather wooded community that has a brain issue and tends to wonder at night. So, with that in mind, we go outside and we hear a bird call (remind you it’s 1 am). We hear this bird call non-stop. In my mind I’m thinking I’m being lured by the crazy dude, so we go inside. We look out our patio window only to see a deer at our fence line. The deer's back legs look mangled. I kid you not. It actually looks like it’s walking with it’s back legs turned backwards. (There is a deer that roams back there that has a broken leg, but only one and he’s always with the family). Anyway, we see this deer, but when it first looks at us with the flashlight on its eyes are green. It puts its head down and stares as us and we shine the light around and back on it and its eyes are now red, when they go back to green.It turns and is walking around. It isn’t listening to me screaming to leave, so I call it a witch. But I kid you not, it turned its head around and stuck its neck up so freakishly long and stared at me I actually got spooked (I’m a pretty religious dude who often ghost hunts and goes to creepy abandoned spots but I kid you not I kind of heart dropped). So. at this point. I go and get my silver cross and shine the flashlight on the cross so it can see the cross shining and It immediately looks away and I tell it that if it can’t cross the fence line because I don’t give it permission. It straightens up and walked away and didn’t look back. I come back inside.My friend goes to sleep and I go into my bedroom where my girlfriend is asleep. I lay down next to her. She starts make weird moaning sounds. I wake her up and it turns out she was having a sleep paralysis episode and she had 2 other sleep paralysis episodes during the entire time me and my friend were outside/ I wonder if there is a connection with the deer being?" In a special second hour of his show Wednesday night, NewsNation host Chris Cuomo divulged to viewers that the growing, independent network had been dropped by the predominant cable and internet provider in the greater New York City area, Altice (formerly known as Cablevision), and called it a “suspicious” “situation” and episode in a trend of “censorship.” Cuomo first indirectly alluded to this during a segment with Alan Dershowitz about TikTok’s possible shuttering in the United States (as its Chinese Communist Party-linked parent company ByteDance has refused to sell it). He said he’s broadly “worried about censorship” and he’s “seeing it more and more.”     “[T]here’s a situation right now, okay, that is really suspicious to me. Alright, We, right now NewsNation is in a battle to stay on a cable system that is French-owned, okay? And I have no idea what good reason they would have for coming after NewsNation, which they did on their own accord, unprovoked, except one, there’s something about what NewsNation does,” he added. Cuomo wondered if they might “have a political disposition that they feel we’re balancing” in its sadly novel concept of respecting the views of all Americans. He then speculated about ratings: [F]or whatever reason, right now, they’re saying that NewsNation, nobody cares about it, we’re not going to run it and it reeks of having some type of bias and this type of ability to control what the American people can have access to is really worrying to me. I don’t speak for NewsNation. I don’t speak for the bosses. I’m speaking for Chris Cuomo, and I’m saying professor. It is very suspicious to me, why NewsNation, all the other outlets? Why don’t you want us? I think it’s happening more and more. As a cable provider, Altice has almost certainly struggled to maintain subscribers as more and more Americans cut the cord. That said, their moves have been rake-steppers by axing NewsNation, the New York City TV market’s CW affiliate, PIX-11, and MSG Networks, the homes of the New York Islanders, Knicks, Liberty, Rangers, and the Buffalo Sabers and New Jersey Devils. Later going to break, Cuomo invited viewers to search out information about what he was alluding to, adding:     I want to preserve my sus — my — my disbelief, okay? I want to wait and see because I’m telling you, I think more and more moneyed interests are playing with what you get to see and that’s what NewsNation was created to counter, okay? That’s all I’ll say right now. A caller named Charlie at the end of the show shared he was “a fellow cable executive” in Atlanta, Georgia and said Cuomo has “to tell all your viewers, you need to burn up the phones and tell them, this is a great show, this is a great network to have on” as support for NewsNation executives in the negotiating process. The caller disagreed with the notion of censorship, so Cuomo countered with a simple question: “But why go after NewsNation?”     Charlie later doubled down on his advice as well as giving a strong testimony of support to the network’s mission (click “expand”): CHARLIE IN ATLANTA: Chris, what I can tell you is this, I stopped watching cable news years ago, and I found you, and I found NewsNation, and I was a Wall Street-only guy, and I got to tell you, Wall Street reader, and you have brought me back to the network. You brought me back to watching cable news again, so they need to wake up, and people need to really get active about this. You’re a great voice. I appreciate what you do, and it’s fantastic to see you take a stand on this, and I really support it and people need to burn up the phones. It matters to them when you tie up their phones, when you’re calling them and saying, “keep this network on and do it.” So I’m going to reiterate your call. I love what you’re saying, and it’s really important.  CUOMO: Well — CHARLIE IN ATLANTA: You know, here’s a guy who has Bill O’Reilly on with Stephen A. Smith. CUOMO: — right? CHARLIE IN ATLANTA: Stephen A. Smith, I don’t watch in sports because he’s the mad guy. But you know what? Tonight, your deal with — with Bill O’Reilly and Stephen A Smith? Brilliant. Before kicking to Banfield, Cuomo concurred and said everyone must do more “to bring people together” and “have the conversation because, when we stay apart, it — it’s all animus, all the time.” Back on January 24, 2023, DirecTV dropped our friends at Newsmax and, thanks to months of loud, public pressure, DirecTV reached a new agreement on March 22, 2023. Hopefully Altice comes to its senses and brings back NewsNation as they, along with Fox Business, Fox News Channel, and Newsmax, are the only news networks with widespread cable distribution that don’t hue to the tiresome corporate, leftist worldview.
