DATA: Overwhelming Number of Voters Say Biden’s Rhetoric Responsible For Attempt Assassination on Trump

by William Upton, The National Pulse: A new survey shows an overwhelming number of voters say that Joe Biden and the Democrats’ rhetoric is responsible for the attempted assassination of former President Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennslyvania, on Saturday. According to Rassmussen Reports, 61 percent of Likely Voters believe that the Biden campaign framing Trump as “an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at […]

How to Be Ready for the Coming King – Senior Living – July 19

How to be ready for the coming King July 17 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter."He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. – Revelation 19:13-15 In the early 1990s, coalition troops of Operation Desert Storm wowed the world with their 100-hour ground assault against Saddam Hussein's troops who had invaded Kuwait. You might think that was one for the record books, but history actually says otherwise. The shortest war ever fought on record was between Britain and the then tiny island nation of Zanzibar off the East Coast of Africa in August of 1896. The huge British fleet issued an ultimatum to the Sultan of Zanzibar, followed by 38 minutes of intense bombardment before the badly mismatched Sultan surrendered! Yes, those are some impressive military victories. Yet, both of them pale in comparison to the victory Jesus will exact upon His enemies when He returns. In fact, the entire war will be over with the utterance of a simple word – a sword from His mouth. That's the power of our Savior! The same Jesus who died on the cross for your sins is coming again as a conquering King. Thank God for the power He's given His Son to be a conqueror who's on your side and look forward to the day when He returns in glory and power! Prayer Challenge Pray and thank God that His Son, Jesus, is returning again as a conquering King who's on your side! Questions for Thought In what way does living with the expectation of Christ's return as King give you a better perspective on your life today? How does knowing Christ will return motivate you to help get as many people as possible on His side by sharing the gospel? Have You Got It Yet? The Story Of Syd Barrett And Pink Floyd – Blu-ray Disc Review

There is a little argument Syd Barrett, the founder and first chief songwriter of Pink Floyd, was a tragic figure and a victim of rock and roll excess. Of course, to so many, he was also a creative genius whose due can never be overpaid. Countless tributes and books have carried his name. A documentary put together in 2001 called The Pink Floyd & Syd Barrett Story was set up around a Behind The Music format with BBC wit and style. It has all the necessary footage and interviews with all the principal characters and associates. There are some holes and if offers little about Barrett’s later years. Have You Got It Yet?, a more recent documentary directed by close confidant and Floyd album cover designer Storm Thorgerson and award-winning filmmaker Roddy Bogawa, cover everything and then some. Now available on DVD and Blu-ray Disc, Have You Got It Yet? offers a unique and thorough overview of Syd Barrett — from his childhood and development as an artist, through his years with Pink Floyd, his short-lived solo career, and the later years right up to his unfortunate passing July 7, 2006 in Cambridge. Well placed insights from band members David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Roger Waters’ along with Pink Floyd’s early managers Peter Jenner and Andrew King; luminaries like the Who’s Pete Townshend and Blur’s Graham Coxon; and most revealing, a few words from Barrett’s sister, Rosemary Breen, who cared for her brother for the last years of his life. In addition to the full-length film Have You Got It Yet?, which appeared in cinemas worldwide in 2023, the DVD and Blu-ray set includes two live performances of “Arnold Layne” — the first featuring David Gilmour with David Bowie and Rick Wright (the clip is part of Gilmour’s Remember That Night Live At The Royal Albert Hall, 2007 set); and the second is from 2007’s The Madcap’s Last Laugh — a tribute concert for Syd Barrett with Gilmour, Mason, and Wright for their final appearance together as Pink Floyd. This one definitely checks off all the boxes for those who follow the history of Pink Floyd and British rock of the 1960s and 70s. ~ Shawn Perry

'I'm not supposed to be here tonight': Trump says he will unite the country in heartfelt acceptance speech

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Former President Donald Trump officially accepted the GOP nomination on Thursday night, starting his third election bid to be the 47th president of the United States in front of an electric audience. Normally bombastic, Trump took a more conciliatory tone for the entire nation in the aftermath of the assassination attempt against him during his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. With prior speakers such as Hulk Hogan, Tucker Carlson, and Kid Rock, the Fiserv Forum sounded more like a rambunctious concert. But with Trump, you could hear a pin drop since the delegates and their guests within the convention hall were silent and hung on every word. 'I extend to you a hand of loyalty and friendship.' "I am running to be president for all of America, not half of America, because there is no victory in winning for half of America," Trump started off his speech. "As you already know, the assassin’s bullet came within a quarter of an inch of taking my life. So many people have asked me what happened, and therefore I’ll tell you what happened, and you’ll never hear it from me a second time, because it’s too painful to tell." Trump recounted how he knew the moment he was hit that it was a bullet. When he was on the ground while being surrounded by Secret Service, Trump said he knew God was keeping him safe. Still being Trump, he riffed on how he was surprised at how much blood came from his ear. He said the doctors told him punctured ears tend to bleed a lot. "I'm not supposed to be here tonight," Trump said, to which the crowd responded with a chant of "yes you are!" "In an age when our politics too often divide us, now is the time to remember that we are all fellow citizens — we are one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all," he continued. Noting that it does not matter "whether you are young or old, man or woman, Democrat, Republican, or independent, black or white, Asian or Hispanic, I extend to you a hand of loyalty and friendship." True to form, Trump highlighted the major issues facing the nation, such as the border crisis and the effects of the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, but he did so by naming his opponent, President Joe Biden, only once. Trump also featured the illegal immigration chart that he looked at during his Butler rally when he was shot and quipped, "Last time I put up that chart, I never really got to look at it." Toward the end of his speech of more than an hour, Trump easily slipped back and forth between riffing on varying topics and his prepared remarks. "The attacker in Pennsylvania wanted to stop our movement. ... The movement has never been about me; it's always been about you. ... It can't be stopped." Like Blaze News?
