“Pre-Apocalyptic” Animated Movie Slime Has an All-Star Sci-Fi Cast

News Slime “Pre-Apocalyptic” Animated Movie Slime Has an All-Star Sci-Fi Cast He slimed me! Wait, wrong movie. By Molly Templeton | Published on September 19, 2025 Screenshot: Apple TV+ Comment 0 Share New Share Screenshot: Apple TV+ “Pre-apocalyptic” is a confusing way to describe a film. So … now? Does it take place now? Regardless of its confusing timeframe, the upcoming animated film Slime has one hell of a cast. Scott Mescudi—better known as Kid Cudi—was previously announced as the film’s star, but Deadline reports that he’ll be joined by Willow Smith (I Am Legend), Teyana Taylor (The Book of Clarence), Emmy and Golden Globe winner Anna Sawai (Shōgun; Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, pictured above), John Cho (Star Trek), and John Boyega (The Force Awakens). Deadline says, “the film is described as an anime-inspired pre-apocalyptic sci-fi monster flick with retro video-game aesthetics.” That description is slightly overwhelming, but hopefully in a good way. It focuses on Muna (Willow Smith), who is “injected with a mysterious creature’s slime” as part of a paid clinical trial. “On the run, she kidnaps Glenn (Mescudi), the lab worker who injected her, and the two set out on a perilous odyssey through a crumbling dystopian world in search of refuge and a cure.” Character details have not been released for the rest of the cast. Along with starring, Kid Cudi will compose the original soundtrack and score for the film. Slime is directed by Jeron Braxton. It’s his feature film debut, following a handful of shorts, several episodes of Daytime Noir, and a Doja Cat video. Screenwriter Brian Ash has written for the series Black Dynamite and Lazor Wulf, among others, and is the co-creator of Sugar and Toys. No word yet on when the pre-apocalypse arrives.[end-mark] The post “Pre-Apocalyptic” Animated Movie Slime Has an All-Star Sci-Fi Cast appeared first on Reactor.

ABC Rightly Had Enough of Jimmy Kimmel’s ‘Comedy’

ABC stunned the media world on Wednesday by announcing they were suspending “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” indefinitely after several ABC station groups withdrew their support for the show. It was a similar shock to CBS setting a cancellation date for “Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” The Left went into conniption fits, grieving both festivals of partisan propaganda. We heard a thousand cries of the “First Amendment” being despoiled and the old reliable screech about President Donald Trump’s “authoritarian playbook.” ABC’s George Stephanopoulos mourned the assault on ‘independent media,’ and he’s the last person in America who would qualify for that label. What did Kimmel say that became the last straw with ABC affiliates? He flagrantly lied on Monday about Tyler Robinson, who has been charged with aggravated murder, claiming “the MAGA gang [was] desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.” To use another phrase beloved by the liberal media, there was “no evidence” Robinson was part of a “MAGA gang,” or any notion that it makes sense that a Trump fan would shoot Kirk. That’s some kooky conspiracy theorizing. Does Kimmel think his show isn’t all about “scoring political points”? It was especially instructive that some of Kimmel’s most ardent defenders came on CNN, which used to make commercials boasting its motto was “Facts First.” Facts came last in defending Kimmel. Brian Stelter quoted Trump-hating “On Tyranny” author Timothy Snyder: “He said the general pattern in regime change is that the comedy gets better, and then it gets banned.” Nobody banned Kimmel, and no one should call 92% of what he does “comedy.” It’s not getting better. It has all the appeal of year-old milk. CNN host Jake Tapper attacked Fox News for summarizing the outrage as “Kimmel suggests Kirk assassin was one of the MAGA gang, despite reports of leftist leanings.” That’s true, but Tapper protested: “I don’t know that I think that that is an accurate description, but they have the First Amendment to write what they want to write.” The motto for that would be “Facts Fuzzed.” The highlight in unintentional hilarity came as “CNN This Morning” aired a clip of Rep. Daniel Goldman, D-N.Y., trashing Trump as a “wannabe mob boss,” and Democrat analyst Meghan Hays proclaimed, “We are running dangerously close to state-run media … . We are losing our democracy. They’re dismantling democracy by doing this.” Spare us all the leftist bleating about democracy and the First Amendment. These people have routinely called for Fox News to be pulled from cable systems. Stelter said crushing Fox wasn’t about freedom of speech, just “freedom of reach.” Leftist journalists have supported conservative actors and celebrities being punished. Kimmel celebrated Tucker Carlson and Roseanne Barr being canceled. Now they equate a suspended TV show to fascism. No one has a constitutional right to a TV show. When CBS canceled “So Help Me Todd,” it wasn’t fascism. It was a routine cancellation. It happens all the time. They cannot see how offensive they are to the Trump-voting half of America. Just like Kimmel, they offer nothing but contempt for Trump voters, who Kimmel “joked” after the 2024 election they voted for a “criminal.” He has zero class. Pompous leftists in our media elites endlessly equate themselves with democracy and with freedom of speech, no matter how aggressively they advocate that the opposing side should be censored as ‘misinformation.’ Even now, they seem more upset about Kimmel being suspended than about Kirk being killed. But canceling a show is much less than canceling a life. COPYRIGHT 2025 CREATORS.COM We publish a variety of perspectives. Canada’s Controversial Bill C-2 Debate: Liberals Push Border Bill with Warrantless Data Access Powers

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. When MPs returned to Ottawa after the summer break, they were immediately confronted with Bill C-2, a massive piece of legislation presented as a border security package. Buried within its hundreds of provisions, however, are lawful access rules that would permit police to obtain personal information without a warrant. Privacy experts have warned that attaching these surveillance measures to a broad omnibus bill that also covers issues like cash transactions risks burying debate on fundamental rights. Many argue that if the government insists on pursuing such powers, they should appear in a standalone proposal rather than hidden inside a bill that spans so many unrelated topics. The opening day of debate illustrated how easily privacy concerns are overshadowed. References to the widespread problems with fentanyl and border enforcement dominated, while personal data protections were barely mentioned. Opposition parties have voiced resistance: the Conservatives and NDP are firmly against the legislation, though the Bloc Québécois signaled interest in supporting the government because of its border provisions. In a minority Parliament, Bloc support could give the Liberals the votes they need. During the debate, Liberal MP Julie Dzerowicz attempted to justify the warrantless access sections. “Some have argued that the lawful access regime being proposed is a major attack on privacy rights. I would argue that it is not,” she said. “For the vast majority of information requests, a judicial warrant is required. There are a couple of exceptions to that, but they are ones that I believe all sides of the House can support.” She argued that most requests would still require judicial authorization and that the exceptions were carefully defined. “Bill C-2 clarifies the ability of law enforcement to use specific powers and seize specific information without a warrant in urgent, time-sensitive circumstances,” she added. According to her, warrantless powers would apply only in urgent cases such, or in the early stages of an investigation when police need what she described as “basic information” that often amounts to yes-or-no answers. The problem is that what the bill actually permits is far more expansive. Police would be allowed to demand confirmation of whether an account, client, or identifier is tied to a service, and obtain details about when and where that service was used. They could also request transmission data showing which apps were involved or who someone was communicating with. While they could not access message content without a warrant, the metadata available under these rules can reveal sensitive patterns of behavior, social connections, and physical movements. Another issue lies in the low threshold required to invoke these powers. Officers need only “reasonable grounds to suspect” a violation of any federal law, not just the Criminal Code. That standard opens the door to demands in situations far removed from serious criminal investigations. The scope of potential targets is also vast. The bill allows demands to be issued to “any person who provides services to the public.” That could mean internet and telecom companies, but it might also include doctors, hospitals, universities, financial institutions, and more. Service providers would be legally obliged to confirm whether they had dealings with a given individual, when those services were provided, and who else might have been involved. Adding to the risk, Bill C-2 introduces a “voluntary disclosure” option. This allows organizations to hand over subscriber information without either a warrant or a formal demand, while granting them complete legal immunity if they do. Such a framework incentivizes cooperation with law enforcement at the expense of accountability, leaving individuals unaware that their data has been shared.
