Republicans Slam Biden For ‘Disastrous’ Response To U.S. Soldiers Being Murdered: ‘Retaliatory Strikes Are Not Deterrence’

Republican lawmakers slammed President Joe Biden on Friday for taking nearly a full week to respond to three U.S. troops being murdered in the Middle East last weekend‚ saying that the administration’s response did not go far enough and failed to establish deterrence. U.S. bombers hit dozens of targets in a limited number of locations in Iraq and Syria after Iranian-backed terrorists conducted a suicide drone attack on a U.S. base last week that also wounded approximately three dozen troops. “The tragic deaths of three U.S. troops in Jordan‚ perpetrated by Iran-backed militias‚ demanded a clear and forceful response‚” said House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). “Unfortunately‚ the administration waited for a week and telegraphed to the world‚ including to Iran‚ the nature of our response. The public handwringing and excessive signaling undercuts our ability to put a decisive end to the barrage of attacks endured over the past few months.” “We have suffered more than 150 attacks on U.S. forces‚ lost American lives‚ and spent billions of dollars in the region since October‚” he continued. “It is long overdue for the Biden administration to admit that its strategy of appeasing Iran has been disastrous for the international community and regional stability. We must stand firmly against those who would harm Americans‚ propagate terror‚ or threaten our allies. Now is the time for President Biden to wake up to the reality that his policy of placating Iran has failed. To promote peace‚ America must project strength.” Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) said that Biden’s response was “disastrous to the point of being dangerous” after he repeatedly signaled “where our military will and will not strike.” “What would be more effective is to send the message to Iran’s leadership that if the Houthis continue to use Iranian missiles and Iranian intelligence from Iranian spy ships to target U.S. Navy vessels in the Red Sea‚ we will sink those Iranian spy ships‚” he said. “That is how you begin to reestablish deterrence. The Biden administration needs a sustained‚ multi-faceted strategy that also focuses on non-military actions—in particular‚ reimposing the comprehensive sanctions against the Iranian oil and gas sector that proved to be so effective during the Trump administration.” The Biden administration’s response to these attacks—delayed for almost a week‚ and now signaling where our military will and will not strike—has been disastrous to the point of being dangerous. What would be more effective is to send the message to Iran’s leadership that if the… — Sen. Dan Sullivan (@SenDanSullivan) February 3‚ 2024 Sen Tim Scott (R-SC) wrote on X: “Retaliatory strikes are not deterrence; we need a holistic strategy to stop Iran now and in the future. To start‚ no more Biden bucks sent to Iran that it turns around and uses it to attack the US and our allies.” House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) said‚ “After almost a week‚ today’s strikes are long overdue following a delay that allowed our enemies to prepare. The Biden admin must be decisive with sustained retaliatory strikes and begin to enforce oil and other sanctions to cut off the source of terror funding.” CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP “The retaliatory strikes against Iranian proxy targets are certainly warranted‚ but the fact that they were delayed and telegraphed makes them less likely to deter Iran and their proxies from their attacks on U.S. service members‚” said Sen. Ted Budd (R-NC). Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS) said that the strikes were “far too late for the three brave Americans who died and the nearly 50 wounded.” “Iran and its proxies have tried to kill American soldiers and sink our warships 165 times while the Biden administration congratulates itself for doing the bare minimum‚” he said. “Instead of giving the Ayatollah the bloody nose that he deserves‚ we continue to give him a slap on the wrist. The Biden administration spent nearly a week foolishly telegraphing U.S. intentions to our adversaries‚ giving them time to relocate and hide. It is past time for our commander-in- chief to adopt a new approach that targets the actual sponsors of terrorism in the region.” Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) added: The administration’s strikes tonight against Iran’s proxies came far too late and after telegraphing how we would attack. Only further‚ more devastating attacks against Iranian forces will scare the ayatollahs. pic.twitter.com/rdmFSQAOFQ — Tom Cotton (@SenTomCotton) February 3‚ 2024 When facing threats from Iran‚ President Reagan sank half their navy. President Trump killed Qasem Soleimani. In contrast‚ President Biden’s anemic response to Iran’s attacks—combined with tens of billions of dollars of funding—has only emboldened the ayatollahs further. pic.twitter.com/7CRxPXqLwY — Tom Cotton (@SenTomCotton) February 3‚ 2024 The administration’s intentional leaks about what we would attack allowed Iranian leaders to flee. We must target the Iranian leaders enabling these attacks to let them know we will not tolerate the killing of Americans. Anything else vindicates Iran’s proxy strategy. pic.twitter.com/gyaaiyZU9j — Tom Cotton (@SenTomCotton) February 3‚ 2024 Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) posted on X: “When Iran reared its head in 1988‚ Ronald Reagan sunk their Navy. When the IRGC again threatened Americans‚ President Trump ordered the airstrike that killed Soleimani. Deterrence isn’t delayed half-measures. Deterrence is taking the head off the snake.” “To stop attacks on Americans‚ Iran must know its support for terrorist proxies comes with a heavy price‚” said Sen. Deb Fischer (R-NE). “These strikes‚ announced well in advance‚ likely did not accomplish nearly enough to stop Iran’s axis. Whatever next steps the President takes must be significantly stronger.”

Robby Starbuck Announces Release Of ‘The War On Children’ Documentary

On Friday‚ political commentator Robby Starbuck released “The War On Children‚” a feature-length documentary about the Left’s attempt to “sexualize” and “indoctrinate” children via‚ among other things‚ social media. “There’s a war on our children right now. Far left activists will stop at nothing to indoctrinate them‚ sexualize them‚ guilt them and punish them until they submit to their woke religion‚” Starbuck wrote in his announcement post on X. “For too long the dots haven’t been connected to expose their battle plan. This film exposes EVERYTHING.” The documentary features interviews with notable voices who have spoken out on the sexualization of children and the threat posed to young people by radical gender ideology‚ such as Riley Gaines‚ Chaya Raichik‚ Seth Gruber‚ Layla Jane‚ and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY). Starbuck noted in his post announcing the film that X is the perfect platform for the release of the documentary‚ in large part because of Elon Musk’s ownership. “Today we make history on X by premiering our film ‘The War On Children’ here‚” Starbuck wrote‚ saying viewers of the film can prove “we don’t need woke studios to succeed.” “‘The War on Children’ is the ultimate X film‚” he continued. “Many of the people and stories featured were found right here on X. Many risked losing their accounts (and more) to expose this war on our children but now [Elon Musk] owns the site and even he’s subscribed to me and has access to our film.” CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP Starbuck made a point of personally thanking Musk “for making X a place where the truth lives and people can have meaningful debates again. Without your actions‚ this film would not be premiering here today.” Anyone can access the film by following Starbuck’s account and clicking “subscribe” for $5‚ according to the announcement. Viewers can also rent the film via the Rumble or MoviesPlus apps. Near the bottom of the X post‚ Starbuck provides a link for donations to support future work‚ as well as to provide screenings of “The War On Children” for churches. The trailer for the documentary can be viewed below: Today we make history on @X by premiering our film “The War On Children” here. Watch the trailer and then help us prove filmmakers don’t need woke studios to succeed by subscribing to watch the full film. What’s the film about? There’s a war on our children right now. A Prayer for Guidance - Your Daily Prayer - February 3

Being children of God is our inheritance! We have the ability to be Spirit-led. “There is so much more I want to tell you‚” Jesus said‚ “but you can’t bear it now.” (John 16:12 NLT) We often crave answers we don’t receive direct answers to.

NewsBusters Podcast: Joe and Mika's Slavish Pro-Biden Bias Now Makes Sense

Axios reporter Alex Thompson revealed Joe Biden is "obsessed" with Morning Joe and "often" calls Joe Scarborough for advice. Joe and his wife Mika even had dinner at Kamala's house‚ and Mika just performed a pillow-soft interview with the First Lady. This is what earns the term "MSDNC." Mark Finkelstein‚ our Joe &; Mika minder‚ joins us to discuss it. Biden not only calls Scarborough‚ but has also consulted with his regular cast of characters‚ including Mike Barnicle‚ Richard Haass‚ Jon Meacham and Adm. James Stavridis. Mark makes a funny point about Meacham leaving the payroll as an MSNBC contributor when his speechwriting for Biden became apparent. As part of their bargain‚ they get on-air interviews. Scarborough interviewed Biden last year. A few weeks ago‚ Brzezinski sat down with First Lady Jill Biden. In early 2021‚ Kamala Harris was wary of a Mika interview request‚ but "The West Wing stepped in and insisted she do it because of how important that relationship is for them" and Biden‚ a former Harris aide told Axios. This is funny: "A White House official told Axios that many of Biden's top staff members think the show gives Biden a fairer shake on issues than other news shows and media outlets." That means they're lapdogs.  Scarborough‚ like many liberals‚ dwelled on weird tweets from Trump fans suggesting Taylor Swift's romance with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce was a "psy op" for Biden.  Since the media can't stop talking about Swift‚ they know it might be important whether she endorses Biden again this time or whether she "sits it out." Anyone critical of Swift is a "weenie" and a "snowflake."  Enjoy the podcast below‚ or wherever you listen to podcasts.
