There’s only one iPhone you should buy right now

It's mid-July, and we're about two months away from the iPhone 16 launch. Many people will tell you now's not the time to buy an iPhone. You should wait for one of the four iPhone 16 variants coming in September. Or you should wait for Apple to drop the price of the old iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 you're eying. I'm one of those people. I'm about to tell you that you should not buy a new iPhone in the coming two months unless you really have to. But this isn't the advice I'd give you any summer ahead of a new iPhone generation's release. This time it's different. This time, I'll tell you there's only one type of iPhone you should buy before the next-gen model arrives. Some of you might have guessed the reason already. It's all about Apple Intelligence. Dennis Quaid Makes The Case For Moving Film Industry From LA To Texas

In light of an increase in burglaries, more and more celebrities are ditching LA in favor of Texas. During the advent of Hollywood’s film fame, that region of California made sense for the budding industry, but actor Dennis Quaid believes Texas can and should fill that role full-time from now on. 70-year-old Quaid is, himself, a native of Houston, with deep roots in the Lone Star State, as a distant cousin of the Singing Cowboy himself, Gene Autry. In general, Forbes notes that there are benefits for relocating from LA to Texas not just for Hollywood insiders but for everyone looking to give themselves great scenery and a break for their wallet. Here is what Quaid is proposing. In his appeal, Quaid shared, “We want to make Texas the film capital of the world.” RELATED: Dennis Quaid Opens Up About Passing On Roles In Major Hollywood Hits He continued, “That’s what Texas used to really have – a great film incentive program and a great film crew base. About nine or 10 years ago, I made some great movies there and [I] love working there.” In fact, Quaid loves working in Texas so much, he can’t recall the last time he filmed in LA specifically and California in general. He also called the Lone Star state “more business-friendly.” Quaid is part of a growing group that’s promoting this big move Quaid is part of a larger team that’s pushing to make the Lone Star State the center of the world / © Paramount/Courtesy Everett Collection “Texas did a really good job at taking a big share of the tech industry away from Silicon Valley,” mused Quaid. “You go down to Austin and you can see that really clearly. And the same thing can be done with movies and television shows. It’s a great place to shoot.” FLESH AND BONE 1993, (c)Paramount/courtesy Everett Collection Quaid has been playing an active role in contributing to this economic boost. His efforts saw him appear in a video alongside Mathew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson—who may or may not be brothers—to promote movie productions calling Texas their new home base and the new LA. The state is also brewing Texas House Bill 4419, which would raise rebates the state provides from $45 million to $200 million, allowing for the establishment of a “film events trust fund.” Several celebrities are ditching California as well, not necessarily for filming purposes but for a sense of security. Goldie Hawn is seriously considering leaving after multiple alarming break-ins have rattled her family to its core and Full House icon Candace Cameron Bure has already gladly left LA and not looked back. The place she now calls home? Texas.
