Apple just gave us a big hint that AI is taking over more than just the iPhone

iOS 18 is already expected to rely heavily on AI. Still‚ the iPhone operating system won't be the only software to use this technology. According to BuyAiDomains‚ Apple just secured the iWork.ai domain‚ teasing that its iWork suit might get a revival with an Artificial Intelligence focus soon. The publication highlights that the iWork.ai domain was recently made available‚ and Apple acquired it. Still‚ trying to open the webpage goes nowhere. In addition‚ it's always possible that the company bought the domain to prevent bad actors from using this page for phishing once it unveiled some of its new AI capabilities during WWDC 2024. In the early 2000s and the beginning of 2010s‚ Apple used to promote its two big suites: iLife and iWork. Over time‚ the company abandoned these names and focused on the iCloud brand. Even though the iWork suite apps are still updated‚ the company has yet to bring a revamp to them. Siri on the Vision Pro headset. Image source: Apple Inc. These are some of the Apple AI features expected for WWDC 2024 Among the new iWork AI features are auto-summarizing and auto-complete. These were first reported by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The journalist thinks Apple is bringing these capabilities for core apps and productivity software. In addition‚ iOS 18 will focus on AI in the following topics: Better playlist creation in Apple Music Siri (a big overall overhaul with a focus on AI) Code completion in a new version of Xcode for developers AppleCare tools to assist employees in helping customers with troubleshooting What could corroborate the iWork AI coming is Apple's CEO himself. During Apple’s first earnings call of the year‚ Tim Cook did not mention any software by name. But he did address AI twice‚ teasing the upcoming announcements. He did it once during his remarks‚ right after reminding those on the call about the Vision Pro launch. Cook said Apple will spend a “tremendous amount of time and effort” on AI‚ with details coming later this year. I hope Apple adds these AI functions Image source: José Adorno for BGR Circle to Search is one of the AI features I hope Apple adds to the iPhone and other products. I already wrote how Google could implement this Samsung Galaxy feature for iPhone users. Still‚ I think Apple could use some of its built-in features to make an even better application. In addition‚ I love how fast the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is in some Siri queries since it relies a lot on on-device processing. Ultimately‚ I believe AI is all about context and understanding. If Apple's assistant can get a huge boost on these matters – and everything points out that it is –Cupertino could compete against OpenAI‚ Google‚ and Microsoft for the perfect experience. My top feature requests are summarizing stories‚ getting relevant information from queries‚ and improving my workflow with on-device processing. Also‚ a new iOS 18 concept basically described what I want for this next operating system update. Wrap up As you can see‚ it's not just iWork that is getting an AI revamp‚ but iOS 18 and several other Apple products will likely get the Artificial Intelligence boost we expect. BGR will keep reporting on Apple's AI efforts. Below‚ you can learn more about iOS 18. Vision Pro might not get really good until 2030‚ but I can’t wait that long

The Apple Vision Pro was released just over a week ago‚ and I would've gotten mine by now if it were available in Europe. Well‚ I still could buy one from a scalper for a relatively low markup. The big caveat of owning a Vision Pro made for the US market is that it won't work elsewhere unless you have an Apple ID set to the US.  I will‚ however‚ get the Vision Pro the second it's officially available in Europe. Even if it's not perfect and even if Apple still has a lot of work to do. On that note‚ a new report from Mark Gurman stresses just how far Apple has to go before the Vision Pro gets really good. Apple is reportedly aware of all the issues. According to Gurman's report‚ the Vision Products Group believes it'll need four generations to truly get the Vision Pro to where it needs to be. I won't wait that long to get started on the spatial computer experience that might shape Apple's entire future. Gurman detailed his experience with the Vision Pro in the Power On newsletter for Bloomberg. He explained the good things about the spatial computer but also the things that Apple has to iron out. The Vision Pro's weight‚ the visionOS experience‚ and the lack of apps are some of the things that Apple has to fix.  It's in this context that the Bloomberg reporter provided the tidbit about the Vision Products Group. That's the Apple team working on the headset. Some of those engineers think the Vision Pro will need four generations before it reaches its ideal form. That's "similar to the progression of the iPhone‚ iPad‚ and Apple Watch." It's unclear what that ideal form is‚ however. Hardware or software. The comment came in response to the software experience‚ which Gurman says is plagued by bugs and issues. "At this point‚ it feels like the software is a beta version and about a year away from feeling refined enough for consumers to use on a day-to-day basis‚" he said. A Vision Pro user looking at various open apps. Image source: Apple Inc. I'm not surprised the software might be buggy. Also‚ I think that it'll take time for the Vision Pro's purpose to become clear. Apple needs input from users and developers on what the Vision Pro would be best for. And on how to improve the experience. Just like the Apple Watch‚ which needed years for Apple to focus on the health and fitness experience.  However‚ I don't think one should wait that long to get a Vision Pro computer if the budget allows it. First‚ there's no telling how frequently the hardware updates will come. Apple releases new iPhones and Apple Watches every year. As for the iPad‚ 2023 was an exception‚ as we had no product refreshes.  We might not get a new Vision Pro until sometime in 2025. If Apple settles for a two-year upgrade cycle‚ the fourth-gen Vision Pro will hit stores only at some point in the early 2030s. I am speculating‚ of course. And it's all based on what Vision Pro engineers reportedly believe about the Vision Pro roadmap.  Secondly‚ I want to get used to Vision Pro computing as early as possible. It'll take time to get used to interacting with the spatial computer via eye and hand coordination.  Apple Vision Pro with protective cover. Image source: Jonathan S. Geller Without having tested it‚ I think that using eyes and hands to control the Vision Pro might be faster than traditional mouse-and-keyboard setups. But‚ after seeing the reviews‚ including Gurman's take‚ I realize it'll be a process of teaching yourself to interact with the spatial computer and maintain focus on what you're doing. You'll have to master that before getting a faster experience than the Mac or iPhone/iPad. Thirdly‚ unlike Gurman‚ I think that the Vision Pro is the first step towards iPhone computing. That a more distant successor of the Vision Pro could take the shape of AR glasses. They will work with the iPhone in my pocket. When that happens‚ I'll want to already be proficient in controling a spatial computer with my eyes and hands as fast as possible. Finally‚ my day job is reporting on Apple products. I got the first-gen Apple Watch and iPad because I needed to experience them in day-to-day life. I'll have to do the same thing with the Vision Pro‚ even if it'll be a more expensive purchase than those other first-gen devices. I want to experience the Vision Pro software and hardware evolution and maybe even help Apple improve it via the feedback I'll provide. Don't Miss: Brilliant Labs Frame are AI glasses‚ and I think this is the future of the iPhone The post Vision Pro might not get really good until 2030‚ but I can’t wait that long appeared first on BGR. Strawberry Cake Balls

These Strawberry Cake Balls are the perfect bite-sized treat made from homemade strawberry cake covered in white chocolate almond bark. A sweet treat for your Valentine! HOMEMADE CAKE BALLS Strawberry Cake Balls are a cute treat that are made with fresh strawberries and homemade cake. These scrumptious bites are a perfect blend of fruity and indulgent flavors. Coated in a luscious white chocolate or almond bark mixture‚ they offer a rich and creamy texture that complements the moistness of the cake. Whether you’re hosting a party or simply looking for a delightful dessert‚ these Strawberry Cake Ball Truffles are sure to hit the spot. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ’S): Can I use frozen strawberries? I would recommend sticking to the fresh strawberries for this recipe. I think frozen ones would add too much liquid to the batter unless you coudl dry them off really‚ really‚ really well once you defrost them. I’ve only tested this recipe using fresh berries‚ so if you want to test it with the frozen ones‚ that’s your own experiment. Can I use a cake mix? Sure‚ if you don’t feel like pulling this homemade recipe together‚ you could use a shortcut by using a cake mix instead. Can I use freeze dried strawberry powder for garnishing? If you really want to‚ you can use some strawberry powder as garnish on top of the coating. I would use this freeze dried strawberry powder from Amazon (paid affiliate link) Can I double this recipe? Certainly. You can scale this recipe to make more cake balls‚ however you need. Just be sure you have enough room in the freezer to store them to chill them and big enough bowls to mix everything in. How to store leftover Strawberry Balls? I would store leftover Strawberry Cake Truffles by putting them in a container or bag and keeping them in the fridge for up to 4-5 days. These can melt if left at room temperature. You can freeze these for up to 3 months. INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE) fresh strawberries- washed‚ stem removed and chopped. I have not tried this with frozen strawberries. There might be too much moisture with using frozen strawberries. all-purpose flour – it’s really important that you don’t over measure the flour. Do not pack it into the measuring cup and don’t measure from the flour bag or you’ll end up with too much flour and that makes for a dry cake. Pour the flour into a bowl and stir with a fork. Then dip in the measuring cup (don’t pack) then scrape off any excess with the flat end of a butter knife. strawberry Jell-O powder – this is going to give a punch to the strawberry taste as well as adding some sweetness. unsalted butter – forgot to take out your butter for it to soften in time? See my post on How To Soften Butter Fast. large eggs – if you have time‚ allow the eggs to come to room temperature. It just helps them incorporate into the batter easier. If not‚ don’t worry. vanilla extract – you can also use strawberry extract to really bump up the strawberry flavor. cream cheese – If you forgot to take out your cream cheese to soften‚ see my post on How to Soften Cream Cheese Fast. almond bark- or you can use white chocolate candy melts  HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY CAKE BALLS Preheat the oven to 350° F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside. Put the strawberries in a blender or food processor and blend until the strawberries are pureed. Set aside. In a medium mixing bowl with a whisk‚ combine the flour‚ baking powder‚ salt‚ and strawberry jello powder. Set aside.  In a separate large mixing bowl‚ beat the butter‚ oil‚ and sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add the eggs‚ vanilla extract‚ and strawberry puree. Mix until combined. Add the dry mixture‚ alternating with the milk until completely combined. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 22-25 minutes or until a toothpick can be inserted in the center and come out clean. Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool completely.  Cut off any crisp outer edges of the cake. Crumble the remaining cake into small pieces in a large mixing bowl. Add the softened cream cheese and mix with the cake crumbs until completely combined.  Roll the cake pop mixture into 2 Tablespoon-sized balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 30 minutes. Place the white chocolate in a bowl and heat until melted‚ stirring every 30 seconds. Dip each cake pop into the white chocolate and tap off any excess chocolate. Place back onto the parchment paper lined baking sheet. If desired‚ garnish with white chocolate drizzle‚ sprinkles‚ or freeze dried strawberry powder. Place back into the freezer for a few minutes to allow the truffles to set. CRAVING MORE RECIPES? 56-Year-Old Will Ferrell Poses With Lookalike Teenage Son During Game

Will Ferrell attended the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans game on Friday at the Crypto.com Arena‚ Los Angeles. The Elf actor was accompanied by his 17-year-old son‚ Mattias Ferrell‚ who looked like a copy of him as they posed side-by-side for photos. Mattias wore a white T-shirt and jeans‚ while his dad sported a sweatshirt from his merch collection‚ checkered green pants‚ and a pair of silver sneakers. Will looked keen on the game as he sat by Mattias‚ who is the second of his three children with wife Viveca Paulin. Will Ferrell and his lookalike son share an interest in sports Instagram Will mentioned a decade ago that he signed up to coach then-eight-year-old Mattias’ soccer team with Viveca‚ whom he married in 2000. “My wife and I are coaching‚ together‚ our 8-year-old’s team…so‚ look out‚ AYSO Region 76. Here comes the Chargers!” he said. RELATED: Will Ferrell Hilariously Plays The Cowbell Performing With His Son’s Band Mattias has also appeared alongside his famous parents and brothers — Magnus and Axel — during celebrity-studded events like the European premiere of Barbie at the Cineworld Leicester Square in London last year. The family looked gorgeous as they seemed to match one another at the event per their color-coordinated outfits. Instagram Raising teenage boys During an interview with People magazine at the SXSW premiere of his 2015 movie Get Hard‚ Will admitted that raising boys “must be like running a prison.” “What happens with three boys is you end up barking out orders like‚ ‘Upstairs now!’ ‘Brush teeth!’ ‘Lights out!’ There is so much chaos you can’t really take the time to articulate‚” the SNL star explained. In all of this‚ Will trusts that “as long as there’s enough love in a family‚ it’ll cushion any bumpy landing.” Click for next Article The post 56-Year-Old Will Ferrell Poses With Lookalike Teenage Son During Game appeared first on DoYouRemember? - The Home of Nostalgia.
