2026 Buell SuperTouring to Begin Production This Fall

The Buell SuperTouring sport-tourer, designed to offer high levels of both performance and comfort, enters production this fall. The Buell SuperTouring sport-tourer will begin production this fall, with pre-orders coming available on July 1. According to Buell, the SuperTouring is designed to offer thrilling performance along with comfort for touring solo or two-up.  More details will be announced closer to production. So far, we know the SuperTouring will offer a claimed 185 hp and 102 lb-ft of torque and have a wet weight of 439 lb. It’ll include Buell’s Fuel in Frame design as well.  Also included are dual-disc Brembo front brakes with EBC rotors, Fox suspension and a steering stabilizer, and a custom Saddlemen seat designed for two-up riding. The bodywork will be made of carbon fiber, the tires will be Dunlop Sportmax Q5As, and the Buell footpegs are redesigned for better grip and are placed to allow good legroom without compromising cornering clearance.  “We are beyond excited to release the Buell SuperTouring shortly ahead of the Super Cruiser,” said Bill Melvin, Buell Motorcycle Co. owner and CEO. “It is a big year for Buell; we are back and excited to see our team’s hard work and dedication come to fruition.”  Customization options will include a secondary exhaust and 36-liter saddlebags for $1,500, cut tips with the bags for $2,000, and a quickshifter for $495.  MSRP for the Buell SuperTouring is $23,995, and Buell is offering an exclusive early-bird discount for customers who wish to pre-order the bike. Running from July 1 to Aug. 31, pre-order deposits are $1,000 and grant the customer a discount pricing of $22,495. Starting Sept. 1, orders will be open to the general public at MSRP. Buell says pre-orders will be fulfilled first once production starts, and the SuperTouring will be available in the U.S. and Canada to start, with plans to extend to other markets in the future.  Visit the Buell website for more information and to place a pre-order. CNN Reporter At Center Of Navy Veteran Defamation Case Is Out Of A Job

The reporter at the center of a recent defamation case against cable news giant CNN announced on Monday that he was leaving the network “after 8 terrific years.” Alex Marquardt, who worked for ABC News prior to his nearly decade-long stint at CNN, was the focal point of a defamation suit brought by U.S. Navy veteran Zachary Young. The network lost that lawsuit, and was ordered to pay out $5 million in economic and emotional damages. CNN was also on the hook for punitive damages, but the amount was never made public. The reporter made the announcement in a post on X, saying, “Some personal news: I’m leaving CNN after 8 terrific years. Tough to say goodbye but it’s been an honor to work among the very best in the business. Profound thank you to my comrades on the National Security team & the phenomenal teammates I’ve worked with in the US and abroad.” BREAKING: CNN reporter @MarquardtA who defamed Navy veteran Zachary Young announces he’s leaving the network https://t.co/l8tEkbWxJY — Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) June 2, 2025 The lawsuit came about after Marquardt featured Young in a story about private contractors assisting with evacuations in the aftermath of former President Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. Marquardt framed the story in a way that unfairly painted Young as greedy and willing to capitalize on the pain of families desperate to get people out of the country. As The Daily Wire previously reported, Young’s attorney Kyle Roche claimed during opening statements that the CNN report was “reckless” and that the network had “set out to destroy Zach’s reputation.” Get 40% Off New DailyWire+ Annual Memberships “They didn’t care about the truth. They cared about theater and they cared about ratings,” he said, previewing internal messages from CNN editors who stated that Marquardt’s report was “full of holes like Swiss cheese” and “80 percent emotion and 20 percent obscured fact.” Other text messages between Marquardt and Young — and Marquardt and his colleagues at CNN — played a role in revealing just how far the reporter had been willing to go for a story that Young warned him would result in legal action. Marquardt did not give any indication as to where he might be headed following his departure from CNN.

Trump’s Bold Move To Lower Drug Prices Puts Americans First, Not Big Pharma

Trump’s Bold Move To Lower Drug Prices Puts Americans First, Not Big Pharma

Americans have waited long enough, and now real relief from sky-high prescription drug prices is finally here. Recently, President Donald J. Trump signed a landmark Executive Order to end the decades-long injustice that has forced American families — especially Hispanic households — to pay more for lifesaving medications than almost anyone else in the world. Hispanics, who are more likely to be uninsured or underinsured compared to other groups, are disproportionately burdened by high out-of-pocket prescription costs. In fact, according to the CDC, nearly one in four Hispanic adults report not taking prescribed medications due to cost, compared to just 13% of non-Hispanic White adults. This Executive Order directly addresses that disparity by demanding lower drug prices and making medications more affordable and accessible for millions of working families across the country. This bold order reaffirms the President’s unwavering commitment to putting American patients first by stopping foreign free-riding, crushing the stranglehold of pharmaceutical middlemen, and bringing fairness back to a rigged system. Under President Trump’s leadership, America is no longer the world’s piggy bank for pharmaceutical giants and socialized healthcare systems abroad. This Executive Order directs the U.S. Trade Representative and Secretary of Commerce to hold foreign nations accountable for the unfair practices that underpay for prescription drugs and undermine lifesaving drug development. In essence, Americans — who fund the bulk of pharmaceutical innovation through our taxpayer dollars and higher prices — have been subsidizing socialism abroad. No more. For many Americans across the U.S., especially those economically impacted by high healthcare costs, this Executive Order is a game changer. Families working long hours, often balancing multiple jobs, should not have to choose between buying insulin for their children or groceries for the week. President Trump’s directive ensures that low-income patients, seniors, and working-class Americans will now have direct access to the same steep discounts that pharmaceutical companies give to patients overseas through government-negotiated prices. That means bypassing the costly middlemen and securing medicines at “most-favored-nation” prices that reflect the best deal given to any other country in the world. If drug manufacturers refuse, the Order empowers the Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to act decisively: impose these pricing standards through regulation and take additional aggressive steps to drive costs down. This is what America First leadership looks like. Let’s not forget: President Trump has been down this road before. In his first term, he introduced bold reforms to ensure that Medicare would no longer overpay pharmaceutical companies — specifically, by requiring that prices for Medicare-covered drugs be no higher than those paid in comparable countries. These common-sense measures were rescinded by the Biden-Harris Administration before they could take effect. The result? A so-called “victory” for Medicare that actually left American taxpayers and seniors paying an average of 78% more for prescription drugs than patients in eleven other advanced nations. That’s not a win — it’s a disgrace. Now, in his second term, President Trump is finishing what he started. This new action builds upon earlier victories, including transparency in hospital pricing, the push for generics and biosimilars, and expanded drug importation options. These initiatives are part of a comprehensive, America First healthcare agenda focused not on enriching bureaucracy, but on empowering patients. For those disproportionately affected by chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, this move provides tangible economic relief. It ensures families can access the medicine they need to stay healthy. It means hardworking Americans can afford care without risking financial ruin. And it signals that forgotten communities are no longer overlooked — they are being heard and prioritized. We should also be clear: this isn’t just good policy. It’s great politics. President Trump is showing the American people that he’s not afraid to stand up to entrenched interests to deliver real results. He’s not beholden to Big Pharma, nor is he willing to play nice with foreign governments who exploit our generosity while we suffer at home. In an era where politicians too often offer empty promises and soaring rhetoric, President Trump delivers. His commitment to reforming healthcare pricing is not just about economics—it’s about justice. And make no mistake: justice is exactly what millions of Americans, especially those in underserved communities, have been demanding for years. President Trump said it best: “Our citizens pay massively higher prices than other nations pay for the same exact pill, from the same factory.” That ends now. This is more than an Executive Order. It’s a promise fulfilled, a burden lifted, and another bold move in President Trump’s mission to restore prosperity, fairness, and dignity to the American people. * * * Bobby Jindal is the former Governor of Louisiana and Chair of the Center for a Healthy America at America First Policy Institute. Jorge Martinez is National Director for Hispanic Outreach for America First Policy Institute. He previously served as press secretary for the U.S. Department of Justice.

EXCLUSIVE: Federal Education Program Warned Teachers About Racist Babies, Made Old MacDonald Trans

A federally-funded education program warned teachers that babies could be racist and pushed other forms of DEI and transgender ideologies on educators, The Daily Wire can exclusively report. A new report from the Functional Government Initiative (FGI) reveals just how deeply woke ideology has permeated Head Start, a government program that provides education and other services to children three to five. Head Start held webinars for teachers on “anti-bias and anti-racism strategies Head Start programs can use in their practices, services, and systems.” One webinar warned that even infants “discriminate between faces by race” and that “babies can categorize people by gender and race.” Head Start also embraced transgender ideology, referring to pregnant women as “birthing parents” and “pregnant people” in social media posts. The program also proposed ways to make activities for children “more inclusive,” including by changing the lyrics to “Old MacDonald Had A Farm.” “Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O And on that farm he/she/they had a pig, E-I-E-I-O,” the updated lyrics read. FGI Report “Head Start now promotes radical diversity, equity, and inclusion ideology, peddling a divisive world view on the government’s dime,” the FGI report reads. “A microscope must be applied to the program to assess how, where, and why our taxpayer money promoted controversial political ideologies antithetical to the real progress America has made for children and families.” The 2020 presentation, titled “Anti-Bias Teaching and Learning Environments in Head Start Programs,” sought to foster “anti-bias learning environments” and warned of “implicit bias.” “Explore children’s understanding of race and identity development,” the seminar description states. “Discover strategies to promote anti-bias practices through supportive interactions and activities with children.” The presentation outlined the “four core goals of anti-bias education” of identity, diversity, justice, and activism. Another presentation dealt with “Personally-Mediated Racism in Early Education” and featured a graphic with the phrase “They’re not too young to talk about race!” FGI Report “Apply a racial equity lens to all Head Start policies AND funding,” reads a slide titled “Addressing Racism in Early Childhood.” Yet another presentation encouraged teachers to talk to young children about race. “If we commit to collectively trying to talk about race with young children, we can lean on one another as we, together, envision a world where we actively challenge racism each and every day,” the slide said. FGI Report Head Start was launched in 1965 and offers a variety of services to children from impoverished families. Program benefits are administered throughout the country by partner organizations, including school districts, non-profits, and faith-based organizations, which provide medical assistance, nutritional support, and education to eligible families. Head Start also encouraged teachers to read texts on critical race theory, including the 1619 Project from Nikole Hannah-Jones and “How to be Antiracist” by Ibram X Kendi. In September 2022, Head Start teamed up with Sesame Street to push for “racial justice” in childhood education. Sesame Street used the occasion to showcase new characters, including one that encouraged “black pride” among children. FGI Report A project of the Department of Health and Human Services, Head Start has funded organizations that cater to illegal aliens. The Mexican American Opportunity Foundation has received nearly $33 million in federal grants to support the administration of the Head Start program across its various locations. The organization simultaneously offers free and discounted legal services to illegal aliens. The organization offers assistance with applications for the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which shelters some illegal aliens from deportation. Head Start did not respond to a request for comment. Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro slammed Head Start in an April episode of “The Ben Shapiro Show,” calling the program “one of the great fails in federal history.” “The data on Head Start has been pretty solid for a long time showing effectively no difference between kids who go to Head Start and kids who do not.”
