The president has enacted multiple executive orders banning transgender procedures for children, men in women’s sports and spaces, and inappropriate sexual or gender content in schools. The Daily Wire first reported on Monday that the Education Department has declared June “Title IX Month” in recognition of the 53rd anniversary of the historic legislation’s passage, opting out of celebrating “Pride Month” as President Joe Biden’s administration had done. Miller’s resolution is a strongly-worded repudiation of the ideological gender principles pushed by activists over the last decade. It describes the traditional nuclear family as “the foundation of a healthy society” and states that mothers and fathers “play a crucial and irreplaceable role in the upbringing of their children.” It also states that the “best environment for children to thrive is a home with a married mother and father,” and it points to the high divorce rate in the United States and the rise in young people delaying or forgoing marriage and family, pointing out that “many tax and welfare policies encourage cohabitation and penalize couples for getting married.” “The birth rate in the United States has fallen below the replacement level needed to replenish the population and sustain the economy,” the resolution notes. “America is currently at a crossroads. President Donald Trump’s administration submitted its first rescissions package of the year to Congress, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) announced on Tuesday, accompanied by a list of instances of “waste, fraud, and abuse” singled out for the chopping block.
