Disney’s ABC Celebrates ‘Spectacular Failure’ DeSantis‚ Claims Trump Is in Mental Decline

Unsurprisingly‚ Disney-owned ABC News was ebullient on Monday’s Good Morning America with the news from Sunday afternoon that Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) – who took on and embarrassed the Sunshine State behemoth — had dropped out of the 2024 presidential race‚ calling it an “implosion” and “spectacular failure” that hadn’t been seen in American history. Having helped in vanquishing their most-hated candidate‚ ABC pivoted to their preferred candidate‚ former President Trump‚ and proclaimed he’s not only continuing to spew lies on various issues‚ but is the 2024 candidate in cognitive decline. Nowhere was it mentioned that President Biden has shown a major mental decline and has voters across the spectrum concerned.     Congressional correspondent Rachel Scott spent the campaign seething about DeSantis‚ so it was only natural for her to offer a bit of revelry herself: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis suddenly suspending his 2024 campaign. He was considering the future of the Republican Party‚ with the best shot at defeating Donald Trump. But his campaign struggled from the start‚ burning through cash plagued by infighting and layoffs. Just days ago‚ he complained about the party's deep loyalty to Trump. Co-host and former Clinton official George Stephanopoulos had his own two cents in the next block alongside chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl: “Jon‚ The New York Times had the right headline this morning on DeSantis: ‘Implosion of his campaign.’” Karl‚ a three-time‚ best-selling anti-Trump author‚ was exhilarated at DeSantis’s departure and thus swooned about his bid having been “a spectacular failure‚ one of the greatest in all of American politics.” Earth to Jon: What was Jeb! 2016 then? Or Phil Gramm 1996? Or Kamala Harris 2020? The Spectator’s Ben Domenech went through these and seven other doozies that he might want to read up on. Karl’s perky mood at the idea of more Trump book sales filling his coffers must have clouded his cartoonish logic for why DeSantis lost: DeSantis‚ if you go back to about a year ago‚ was actually beating Donald Trump in several polls. There was a December 22 poll in The New York — in — in The Wall Street Journal that had him up 14 points over Trump. He spent some $150 million if you count all the money from his super PAC‚ and he did nothing but go down and down and down. Basically‚ George‚ one big factor: He never took the fight to Donald Trump until he was already mortally wounded as a candidate. Ah‚ so DeSantis not defining his campaign as anti-Trump was what did him in? If wasting time on a single issue would have made improved his odds‚ why didn’t it work for Chris Christie? After some banter about Trump being set to smoke Nikki Haley Tuesday night in New Hampshire‚ the pair pivoted to the former President and painted him as cognitively in decline‚ “showing more and more confusion in his stump speeches” such as confusing Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) (click “expand”): STEPHANOPOULOS: And‚ out on the campaign trail‚ we played that clip in Rachel’s piece‚ on Friday night‚ he’s been showing more and more confusion in his stump speeches. KARL: George‚ that moment which‚ by the way‚ the Biden campaign has already cut into an ad‚ is really something. Donald Trump is truly confused about who Nikki Haley is‚ thinks she somehow she was in charge of security at the capitol on January 6‚ clearly confusing her with Nancy Pelosi. But we've seen him confuse Joe Biden with Barack Obama. He thinks that he beat Obama. We saw‚ at one point‚ he talked about how Biden was going to get us into World War II. So‚ that — there has been — there have been moments and there have been several moments on the campaign trail where — where he has seemed quite frankly out of it. STEPHANOPOULOS: And in a moment‚ she should underscore he's confusing Nikki Haley for Nancy Pelosi as he's telling a lie — KARL: Yeah. STEPHANOPOULOS: — about Nancy Pelosi. KARL: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Of course‚ Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House. She was not in charge of security‚ though — [LAUGHS]— at — at the Capitol. And he says he offered her troops which‚ again‚ is not true. But‚ regardless‚ it’s not just the lie. It’s that he doesn’t — he’s confused about who Nikki Haley is. The person he's running against. And you can see it in that clip that we played just part of. He says Nikki Haley‚ Nikki Haley‚ Nikki Haley. It’s like he's looking to find it in his brain somewhere. STEPHANOPOULOS: Looking for the word. What world are these clowns living in? Where were they when Joe Biden couldn’t remember the name of his secretary of defense‚ mumbled about wanting to go to bed‚ lying about being at Ground Zero on 9/11‚ falsely claiming his home caught fire‚ proclaiming there was “honor” in the Holocaust‚ or calling out to a House Republican he thought was in the audience when‚ in fact‚ she had died? In contrast‚ CBS Mornings didn’t bother to do any sort of post-op on DeSantis’s campaign while‚ on NBC’s Today‚ senior Washington correspondent Hallie Jackson chose to deal in reality for why voters rejected DeSantis and embraced Trump. The answer? The four criminal indictments by Democrat prosecutors. To see the relevant ABC transcript from January 22‚ click “expand.” ABC’s Good Morning America January 22‚ 2024 7:07 a.m. Eastern [ON-SCREEN HEADLINE: New This Morning; DeSantis Drops Out; Florida Governor Endorses Trump Ahead of Tomorrow’s Primary] RACHEL SCOTT: This morning the Republican primary is now a two-person race. GOVERNOR RON DESANTIS (R-FL): I can't ask our supporters to volunteer their time and donate their resources if we don't have a clear path to victory. SCOTT: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis suddenly suspending his 2024 campaign. He was considering the future of the Republican Party‚ with the best shot at defeating Donald Trump. But his campaign struggled from the start‚ burning through cash plagued by infighting and layoffs. Just days ago‚ he complained about the party's deep loyalty to Trump. DESANTIS: You could be the lousiest Republican in America but if you kiss the ring‚ he likes you. SCOTT: Now‚ quickly reversing course and endorsing him. DESANTIS: It's clear to me a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance. [SCREEN WIPE] He has my endorsement because we can't go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear‚ a repackage of warmed-over corporatism that Nikki Haley represents. SCOTT: His exit from the race coming just 24 hours before the New Hampshire primary. (....) 7:09 a.m. Eastern [ON-SCREEN HEADLINE: Live on GMA; DeSantis Drops Out; Can Nikki Haley Stop Donald Trump] GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: Let's bring in our chief Washington correspondent‚ Jon Karl. Jon‚ The New York Times had the right headline this morning on DeSantis: “Implosion of his campaign.” JONATHAN KARL: This is — was a spectacular failure‚ one of the greatest in all of American politics. I mean‚ DeSantis‚ if you go back to about a year ago‚ was actually beating Donald Trump in several polls. STEPHANOPOULOS: Nikki Haley has been edging toward taking the fight to Donald Trump. Two-person race right now and she's behind in New Hampshire‚ but even if she wins‚ It’s a tough path going forward. KARL: Yeah‚ but New Hampshire voters will go to the polls tomorrow knowing it is a one on one race‚ knowing that‚ if Nikki Haley lose‚ Donald Trump is all but certain to be the Republican nominee and that all that would stand between Donald Trump getting back into the White House is an 81-year-old Joe Biden‚ so New Hampshire will know. Polls suggest‚ even despite that‚ Trump has a lead‚ but we will see. STEPHANOPOULOS: You mention Joe Biden‚ but also a series of court cases that Donald Trump is facing. He’s going to be in the courtroom today. And‚ out on the campaign trail‚ we played that clip in Rachel’s piece‚ on Friday night‚ he’s been showing more and more confusion in his stump speeches. [ON-SCREEN HEADLINE: Live on GMA; One Day to New Hampshire Primary; Haley Raises Questions About Trump’s Mental Fitness] KARL: George‚ that moment which‚ by the way‚ the Biden campaign has already cut into an ad‚ is really something. Of course‚ Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House. She was not in charge of security‚ though — [LAUGHS]— at — at the Capitol. And he says he offered her troops which‚ again‚ is not true. He says Nikki Haley‚ Nikki Haley‚ Nikki Haley. It’s like he's looking to find it in his brain somewhere. STEPHANOPOULOS: Looking for the word. Jon Karl‚ thank you very much. ROBERTS: And‚ George‚ let me ask you something. I was taken by your Instagram post over the weekend. This is very familiar territory to you. [ON-SCREEN HEADLINE: Live on GMA; One Day to New Hampshire Primary; Does It All Come Down to the Granite State?] STEPHANOPOULOS: Oh yeah. I mean‚ I first worked the New Hampshire primary back in 1988 —  ROBERTS: Dukakis. STEPHANOPOULOS: — for Michael Dukakis and then covered every single primary since the 2000 campaign. But this is a very different New Hampshire primary this time around. Usually‚ you have a gaggle full of candidates on both sides. Competitive — competitive primaries on both sides.. You really don't this time around. And‚ by Wednesday morning‚ we very well could see the general election face-off‚ Donald Trump versus Joe Biden. ROBERTS: Biden’s running — KARL: The longest general election of — of our lifetimes. ROBERTS: — right. Exactly. KARL: Yeah. ROBERTS: It’s something. STEPHANOPOUSLO: Mmhmm. ROBERTS: Thank you both‚ gentlemen. KARL: Thank you. (....) 8:03 a.m. Eastern [ON-SCREEN HEADLINE: Breaking at 8; DeSantis Drops Out; Florida Governor Endorses Trump Ahead of Tomorrow’s Primary] SCOTT: The Florida governor was long seen as the future of the Republican Party‚ with the best shot of defeating the former President in this primary. Just days ago‚ he complained about the party's loyalty to the former President. Well‚ he was quick to drop out and then suddenly endorse Trump‚ insisting that Republican voters had made it clear they want to give the former president another opportunity in this race.

'Just stupid': Charles Barkley belly-laughs at Nikki Haley over her perspective about racism in America

NBA legend Charles Barkley belly-laughed at Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley over her controversial declaration about America.Last week‚ the former South Carolina governor declared that America is not a "racist country" and that America has "never been a racist country." The comments generated controversy because‚ in the eyes of her critics‚ there is a plethora of evidence showing that America was‚ in part‚ founded on racist ideals like‚ for example‚ slavery and the Three-Fifths Compromise. And when Barkley had his opportunity to respond‚ he could do nothing but laugh. — (@) After composing himself‚ the basketball legend mocked Haley."I've been having a hard time trying to decide who I'm going to vote for. So‚ Nikki Haley is the leader in the clubhouse because she's 100% correct if you forget about slavery‚ Jim Crow‚ segregation‚ anti-Semitism‚ Asian hate that's been going on in this country — America has been smooth sailing‚" he said on his CNN show.Barkley said Haley's comment is "just stupid" because "America was built on racism." But‚ according to Barkley‚ that doesn't mean America is not the "greatest country in the world.""Listen‚ you can criticize a country. This is the greatest country in the world. You can still criticize it. Anybody who thinks we don't have racism‚ you turn on the TV. Every single day there's racism. And for her‚ somebody who wants to be the president of the United States to say something that stupid — and that's just stupid‚" he said."Because you can't think that. You can't think that racism doesn't exist in this country‚" he continued. "America was built on racism‚ segregation‚ Jim Crow‚ slavery‚ even now we've got anti-Semitism that's through the roof. In the last couple years‚ Asian people have been getting mistreated."Haley later defended her comments‚ and a spokesperson for Haley said there is a difference between a country being racist and a country having racism in it. USA Today‚ moreover‚ noted that Haley's own memoir recounts how her Indian family experienced prejudice. In a recent interview‚ Haley also claimed to have experienced racism personally."I was teased every day for being brown‚" she said of her childhood. "So‚ anyone that wants to question it can go back and look at what I’ve said on how hard it was to grow up in the deep south as a brown girl." Like Blaze News? Thank God Dana White doesn’t care what the Alphabet Mafia thinks

The rest of us need to join UFC boss Dana White and UFC fighter Sean Strickland in not caring about what they think.Who are “they”? They are the people demonizing America’s founding principles‚ values‚ and freedoms. They are the people who want us all to wear a public-speaking leash‚ vowing never to utter a word that upsets their contrived sensitivities and sensibilities. They are the BLM-LGBTQIA-ADL-NAACP-WEF Alphabet Mafia. They partnered with the feminist movement to take control of public discourse and corporate America. They define this country’s priorities. They’ve overthrown the patriarchy‚ installed the matriarchy‚ and set up a culture that caters to feelings over facts. This weekend‚ before UFC 297 in Canada‚ Strickland shredded a reporter who questioned him about heterosexual parents desiring to raise heterosexual kids. “Ten years ago‚ to be trans was a mental f***ing illness‚ and now all of a sudden‚ people like you have weaseled your way in the world. You are an infection. You are the definition of weakness‚” he said. “Everything that is wrong with the world is because of you.”Strickland wasn’t finished. “And the best thing is the world’s not buying it. The world’s not buying your f***ing bulls**t you’re f***ing peddling. The world is not saying‚ ‘You know what? You’re right. F***ing chicks have d**ks.’ The world’s not saying that. The world says‚ ‘No‚ there are two genders.’ I don’t want my kids being taught about who they could f*** in school. I don’t want my kids being taught about their sexual preference.”A day later‚ White defended Strickland’s right to say what he thinks. A society that places feelings above truth is doomed to chaos‚ corruption‚ and rampant immorality. “I don’t tell anyone to do anything‚” White said when a reporter asked about keeping his fighters on a leash in terms of public comments. “I don’t try to control any other human being in any way‚ shape or form.” “I don’t give anyone a leash‚” White added. “A leash? Free speech. Control what people say? You’re going to tell people what to believe? I don’t f***ing tell any other human being what to say‚ what to think. There are no leashes on anyone. It’s ridiculous to say that I give somebody a leash. Free speech‚ brother. People can say whatever they want and believe whatever they want.”White is the Donald Trump of the sports world — crude‚ abrasive‚ and unapologetic. White founded a sports league that most suburban moms don’t want their kids anywhere near. But White represents the exact kind of male leadership that is necessary right now. Men need to quit apologizing for being men. It’s killing this country.Strickland is an unrepentant American patriot who refuses to apologize for the color of his skin and the sins of his ancestors. As a young man‚ Strickland dabbled in white nationalism and bigotry. He loved the movie “American History X‚” the 1998 movie starring Ed Norton as a skinhead and neo-Nazi. His involvement in mixed martial arts changed his views on race. Why am I not offended by Strickland’s past bigotry? Because‚ as a young man‚ I dabbled in black nationalism and bigotry. I was a fan of Louis Farrakhan. Attending Farrakhan’s Million Man March was one of the highlights of my youth. I won’t hold Sean Strickland to a different standard than I hold myself. I evolved. Why can’t Strickland? Why can’t I find common ground with Strickland over our mutual reverence for America’s founding documents‚ principles‚ values‚ and freedoms?I don’t like what the Alphabet Mafia and the feminist movement have done to American culture. Neither do Strickland and White.A society that places feelings above truth is doomed to chaos‚ corruption‚ and rampant immorality. I don’t care what “they” think. I will defend and support any man or woman who objects to their rulership of public discourse‚ American business‚ academia‚ Hollywood‚ the music industry‚ and the sports world.I wish NFL commissioner Roger Goodell were half the man Dana White is. The Alphabet Mafia’s entire satanic cabal depends on the NFL to get its message out using history’s greatest propaganda tool: the television.Goodell cares way too much about what “they” think to put a stop to the insanity.

3 things the Biden admin is TERRIFIED you will realize in 2024

The Biden administration is saying whatever it has to in order to mislead the public on three things: jobs‚ inflation‚ and the true ramifications and cost of building the Great Reset. “They’re not really concerned about these things or worried about them specifically. They are worried about you finding out about them‚” Glenn Beck explains. While Biden and the liberal media are adamant that jobs are up‚ inflation is down‚ and the economy is booming‚ Glenn believes it’s all just a “textbook case of gaslighting.” Just last month‚ Biden used the latest jobs report to announce that he was “cleaning up the economic disaster that Trump left behind.” “749‚000 jobs. Jobs they said they had created‚ don’t even exist‚” Glenn says‚ correcting the president. “That chart comes from the Bureau of Labor. They are readjusting after you get the big headlines.” “Feel a little gaslit?” Glenn asks‚ “I know I do.” It’s not just jobs that the government is lying about‚ rather‚ it’s the entire economy. “We just endured the worst bank crisis since 2007-2008‚” Glenn notes‚ adding that to make matters worse‚ “we are now spending more money just on interest for our debt than anyone on the planet has ever paid in human history.” Why doesn't the administration want Americans to know the truth? “Because it’s all part of the World Economic Forum‚” Glenn explains. “They have to silence anyone who is telling you the truth.” Want more from Glenn Beck?To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling‚ thought-provoking analysis‚ and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos‚ subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America‚ defend the Constitution‚ and live the American dream.

What’s the matter with Texas Republicans?
Favicon

What’s the matter with Texas Republicans?

Texas is known as a strong conservative state‚ often viewed as a beacon of liberty in the storm of destructive and radical leftist activism ruining our nation. But that reputation is changing‚ and unfortunately‚ it’s our own Republican representatives who are leading the effort to undermine conservative values and interests in our great state. While the ridiculous effort last year to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton is one of the most egregious cases‚ it’s certainly not the only example of elected Republicans failing to represent their conservative constituents. These bad-faith establishment actors frequently throw in with Democrats on policies that directly contradict conservative priorities‚ often facing no accountability for letting down their constituents. That needs to change. The Paxton impeachment effort wasn’t the only vote to expose how little our representatives care to advance conservative values and priorities. What happened to Paxton should terrify every conservative in America. Perhaps the hardest-working and most effective Republican attorney general in the country‚ Paxton has taken up the fight to protect conservative values and priorities in Texas‚ protecting us from an authoritarian federal government and advancing freedom. Texans appreciate that about him. That’s why 4.2 million of us re-elected him to keep fighting for us. Then‚ Republicans in the Texas House thought they could undermine the will of voters and impeach him with no evidence or testimony under oath‚ likely because his hard work and tenacity threatened their power and agendas. They wasted time and millions of taxpayer dollars on an effort that directly contradicted the values and priorities of their constituents and the good of the state. Yet they call themselves our “representatives.” While Democrats aren't technically in charge‚ they have enough corrupt and self-serving allies among establishment Republicans that their agendas advance anyway. The Paxton impeachment effort wasn’t the only vote to expose how little our representatives care to advance conservative values and priorities. Another pivotal vote by disingenuous Republicans was to install Dade Phelan as speaker of the Texas House. This vote not only supported corrupt establishmentarianism and cronyism within our legislature but also paved the way for him to appoint Democrats as committee chairs and to key leadership positions‚ undermining conservative principles and placing individuals who represent the antithesis of those values in positions of influence. Real representatives wouldn’t support someone who elevates the people who hate us‚ our state‚ and our nation. This has paved the way for corrupt and activist politicians to undermine bills and initiatives that are in the best interest of Texans and conservative values. Several important bills find themselves dead in the water as establishment Republicans join with activist Democrats to support agendas like the radical transgender and LGBTQ movement that actively targets our children. We don’t celebrate or facilitate anorexia or schizophrenia‚ so why are our “representatives” playing along with gender dysphoria? Several Republican lawmakers voted to underwrite transgender social transitioning by allowing funding for hospitals that mutilate children. Worse‚ they killed a bill that would have at least required insurance companies to cover de-transition costs after the person had been mutilated for a radical activist agenda. Both of these votes occurred in a Republican-controlled House‚ directly contrary to conservative values and the best interest of vulnerable children. When our “representatives” aren’t defeating important bills or passing dangerous ones‚ they’re wasting taxpayer time and money on meaningless initiatives to virtue-signal to their constituents and prevent us from noticing whose interests they really serve. Instead of taking real steps to stop the devastating illegal immigration crisis‚ our lawmakers squabble over insignificant laws to classify the assault charges for mass shooters or up the felony degree for possessing a firearm as a felon or even facilitate the creation of illegal immigrant housing developments that line the pockets of their friends and families. These are not policies that will help the lives of hardworking Texans‚ but it’s apparently the best our “representatives” can do. The erosion of conservative values in Texas should be a wake-up call for the entire nation‚ but especially for Texas voters. Decent‚ hardworking citizens deserve better than politicians grabbing for power and pushing radical agendas while pretending to work for the people who trust them to safeguard their freedoms and the American way of life. The nation is watching to see if Texans will rise to the occasion and demand accountability for the many failures of our “representatives” while reaffirming the principles that have long defined our great state and shaped our nation into the greatest‚ freest‚ and most prosperous in the world. Remember‚ it’s a republic if we can keep it.

How to escape the surveillance state: Email

Editor's note: We're facing an unprecedented moment in American history. Our government and multinational tech monopolies are making it clear that we‚ the people‚ are the target of the monstrous surveillance state they've constructed. The deep state is attempting to jail people who share memes‚ Blaze journalists‚ and even the leading presidential candidate. It's time we take back control over our privacy and digital communications‚ and this guide will provide you with the tools to do that. This is an excerpt from a larger guide. Pay for your emailDon't use Gmail or any free email servicesAvoid free services whenever possible. I know this sounds strange. But you pay your plumber and electrician. You should pay for your email. We have become accustomed to getting free digital services. But they are not really free. The price is time (see George Gilder‚ "Life After Google")‚ security‚ privacy‚ and intrusive data collection. As the digital-age adage goes: Free services mean you are the product‚ not the customer. Why pay? When you pay for a service‚ you make a type of contract. You are in a business relationship. It is exchanging one value (money) for another (service). And when you pay for a service‚ your provider doesn't need to sell your data on the back end to make money. To be clear‚ while paying for services is essential‚ this is not a guarantee of privacy or eliminating data mining‚ so it is essential to find an email service that is explicit about privacy. And in case you don't already know this: Never use your work email for non-work‚ personal emails. The email belongs to your company‚ not to you. The company has access to it‚ so it is not private‚ and the company can discontinue it when you no longer work there. It only takes a short time to set up a new email‚ but I realize there are difficulties: letting contacts know your new address and archiving hundreds or thousands of emails you want to save. Don't let that be an obstacle. Take your time with that‚ and keep your old email address until you finish the transfer. But get a paid email right away and start using that as your primary email going forward. Several email services focus on privacy. One I recommend is Proton Mail.Proton is based in Switzerland. It is easy to set up‚ and I have paid versions for myself‚ my wife‚ and my older children. Proton also offers back-end email service for your business or personal domain‚ which I also use.Proton Mail uses PGP encryption between Proton users and provides PGP keys for sending outside Proton Mail. PGP stands for Pretty Good Privacy. Here is a good article explaining how it works and a little bit of its history. In brief‚ PGP uses a combination of a private key and a public key to encrypt and decrypt messages so you can ensure that only the recipient can see the contents of your email. You can use PGP without Proton Mail‚ but it can be quite technical. In addition to encrypting messages between users‚ the text of your emails is encrypted on Proton Mail's servers‚ meaning that even individuals with physical control of the servers can't read your inbox's content. Subject lines‚ however‚ are not encrypted.Proton Mail features another layer of security by housing its servers in Switzerland‚ which has some of the world's strongest privacy laws. This makes the company less susceptible to data requests by the state. You can try Proton Mail for free to see if you like it — but get the paid version. One caveat: Google does have a paid service called G Suite for business that I and many people have used. It can be used as the back end for business mail or websites. You may need to keep Google for some reason. Maybe your school or business uses the Google platform‚ so there is no way to avoid it. In that case‚ I suggest using it for work purposes only and‚ when possible‚ using another service. I have a paid Google account that I sometimes need to use to access a Google doc someone sends or participate in a Google meeting. But I don't send emails on it. If you need to use Google‚ get a paid Google account and use it as little as possible. There's value to Google – world-class engineers. But it comes at a price: They take your data‚ ostensibly cooperate with the Chinese communist government‚ and increasingly shut down people who hold non-fashionable opinions.Takeaway:Pay for your email.Quit Gmail.Find an email provider you like that respects privacy.
