SHOCKING Footage Shows Ukrainian Official Detonating Grenades In Council Meeting (VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED)

Horrifying video footage from a village council meeting in Ukraine’s Western Zakarpattia region shows a local official detonating multiple grenades inside a crowded room. Ukraine’s National Police is investigating the incident as a potential terror attack. “The incident occurred about 90 minutes into a livestreamed meeting in the Keretsky Village Council‚” the New York Post reports. “According to the preliminary information‚ at least one person was killed and 26 were wounded‚ including six in serious condition‚” The Kyiv Independent wrote. It’s unclear if the official who detonated the grenades was injured or killed. WARNING – GRAPHIC FOOTAGE: Here’s another version posted to X: JUST IN – Many injured after lawmaker detonates multiple grenades during a council meeting in Transcarpathia‚ western Ukraine. pic.twitter.com/Vmi1sUPxKG — Disclose.tv (@disclosetv) December 15‚ 2023 The Kyiv Independent reports: The police did not identify the suspected perpetrator of the bombing‚ but Ukrainska Pravda and other media outlets alleged that it was Serhii Batryn‚ a village council member of the Servant of the People party. The regional media outlet Zakarpattia24 shared a video in which Batryn complains about other local officials. Zakarpattia24 also said that Batryn had previously feuded with colleagues about a wartime pay increase for the head of the village council. Before he detonated the grenades‚ Batryn allegedly got into an argument with his coworkers about the issue‚ who refused to take his side. After the dispute‚ Zakarpattia24 said he left and returned with the grenades. “May I speak?” Batryn‚ the man allegedly responsible for the attack‚ asked before removing the grenades from his jacket pockets and tossing them on the floor‚ according to the New York Post. From the New York Post: Photos taken after the blast showed puddles of blood on the floor and overturned furniture. The explosion injured 26 people‚ six of whom were hospitalized in serious condition‚ according to officials. Ukraine’s Security Service is investigating the explosions as an act of terrorism. Batryn was initially said to have been killed‚ but police later clarified that doctors were trying to save his life. Friday’s council session was held to approve the village’s budget for 2024‚ but Batryn‚ a deputy from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Servant of the People Party‚ argued that he and his colleagues should first give a full report on the 2023 budget before moving on to next year’s. Batryn also had a long-standing feud with village chief Mikhail Mushka‚ reported the news Telegram channel Zakarpattya24. Batryn had opposed a proposal to allocate a 50% raise and a monthly bonus for Mushka during the war‚ and had voted against deeming the village chief’s job performance satisfactory. At the height of the budget debate‚ Batryn walked out of the council headquarters and returned less then three minutes later to detonate the grenades.

President Trump Scores Legal Victory In Michigan

President Trump secured another legal victory in the mounting frivolous lawsuits to keep him off primary ballots‚ attempting to utilize the insurrection clause in the Constitution’s 14th Amendment. Trump extended his winning streak in Michigan. The Michigan Court of Appeals upheld a lower court’s decision that Trump is eligible for the state’s primary ballot. “Nothing in the statutory framework that controls the process for presidential primary elections confers any authority on the Secretary of State to make eligibility determinations or to refuse to place a candidate on that particular ballot based on an eligibility determination‚” the three-judge panel wrote‚ The Epoch Times reports. “Who to place on the primary ballot is determined by the political parties and the individual candidates‚” the panel added‚ according to NBC News. “The Soros-funded Democrats have once again failed in their desperate attempt to interfere in the election via a bad-faith interpretation of the 14th Amendment.” https://t.co/Gi7F9zdxv5 — Jason Miller (@JasonMillerinDC) December 15‚ 2023 “President Trump remains undefeated against these frivolous legal claims and has never been in a stronger position to win next year’s election‚” Donald Trump’s campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said. Read the full statement: NBC News reports: The court further said Trump’s possible spot on a general election ballot was not ripe for consideration. The two-sentence clause in the 14th Amendment has been used only a handful of times since the years after the Civil War. It’s likely that one of the lawsuits challenging Trump eventually will be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court‚ which has never ruled on the insurrection clause. The Michigan court decision was similar to one from the Minnesota Supreme Court‚ which said Trump could stay on that state’s primary ballot there because the election is a party-run contest. In one of the Michigan lawsuits‚ the anti-Trump plaintiffs included Bob LaBrant‚ a longtime Republican who was a lawyer and political strategist for decades at the state Chamber of Commerce. NEW: Michigan Court of Appeals affirms that Trump can be on the state’s presidential primary ballot. The ruling does not prohibit a later challenge to his placement on the general election ballot.: https://t.co/CeK05s1ph0 pic.twitter.com/oydLNPL1KR — Democracy Docket (@DemocracyDocket) December 15‚ 2023 Per The Epoch Times: After the Michigan Court of Claims ruled last month to keep President Trump on the state’s primary ballot in response to activists suing the state‚ arguing he was disqualified under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment‚ an appeal swiftly followed‚ filed in both the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court. On Dec. 6‚ the Michigan Supreme Court issued a surprising rejection to hear the case on an expedited basis‚ ordering the parties to proceed in the appeals court first. One judge dissented‚ given the timely nature of the matter and the court’s inevitable eventual involvement. But he also gave entirely contrary opinion to the Court of Claims‚ writing that he would have remanded it back to that court to do an evidentiary hearing. If that had happened‚ Michigan would have‚ like Colorado‚ proceeded to rule on whether the former president “engaged” in an “insurrection” and whether that was reason to remove him from the state’s primary ballot. There were three separate lawsuits against Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson: one brought by local community advocate Robert Davis‚ another by activist group Free Speech for People representing a small group of local voters‚ and one brought by President Trump‚ who had not been allowed to participate as an intervenor in the initial case.
