3 Reasons Trump Won Battleground Michigan

Donald Trump turned Michigan red in the 2024 presidential election, defeating Kamala Harris there and paving his way back to the White House. As one of the most hotly contested swing states, carrying 15 Electoral College votes, some political observers predicted that Michigan would be a determining factor in the outcome of the election. It turned out that, when it was counted, Michigan’s vote added to Trump’s already-sealed victory. Rep. Bill Huizenga, R-Mich., said Michiganders asked themselves Ronald Reagan’s famous question: “Are you better off now than you were four years ago?” “The inroads made in nontraditional Republican areas and constituencies is huge,” Huizenga told The Daily Signal of the Michigan results. At the end of the day, the Democrats had a deeply flawed candidate in Harris, vice president to President Joe Biden, said Steve Mitchell, a Michigan pollster who is president of Mitchell Research & Communications Inc. “If you look objectively at where America was for four years under Trump in terms of foreign affairs, in terms of domestic issues, in terms of the cost of living, it was better under President Trump than it was under President Biden,” Mitchell told The Daily Signal, “which is why President Trump was reelected.” Here are three big reasons Trump won Michigan by 95,000 votes in his sweep of all three “Blue Wall” states for Democrats, which also include Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.  Trump Picked Up 35,000 More Votes in 2 Key Counties To win Michigan, Trump needed to perform better in two swing counties, Kent and Oakland. Harris ultimately triumphed in Michigan’s liberal counties, but Trump picked up 30,000 more votes in Oakland County than he got in 2020 and 5,000 more votes in Kent County. Oakland and Kent counties have undergone major demographic changes over the past two decades. Both used to be Republican strongholds, but growth in the Detroit suburbs and the city of Grand Rapids turned the counties from red to blue in 2020. About a third of Trump’s margin of 95,000 votes in Michigan came from doing better in Kent and Oakland than he did when he barely won the state in 2016 over Hillary Clinton, 47.6% to 47.4%.  “This is only the second time that a Republican has carried Michigan since 1988,” Mitchell said, referring to Trump’s win in 2016. “The first time was by about 10,000 votes, and this time it’s by almost 100,000 votes. So it is a significant victory.”  Mitchell, no relation to this correspondent, had predicted that if Trump did well in Kent and Oakland, he would win Michigan.  “If they go very heavily for Harris, then that probably portends well for Harris,” Mitchell told The Daily Signal before the election. “If, on the other hand, for some reason it’s within two or three points in Kent County and within maybe six or eight points in Oakland County for Harris, then probably Harris is going to lose.” Huizenga said Trump was able to pull off a win of this scale through hard work and staying on message.  “I think that’s a testament to staying on message and having Kamala Harris be a, shall we say, identifiably unqualified candidate,” the West Michigan congressman said.  Although some Republicans were hesitant to support Trump in 2020, Huizenga said he noticed people were more willing to publicly support the former president this year.  “The prosecutions, all the harassment, the lawfarethat went on with Trump, it brought some of those wandering Republican votes back into the fold,” he said.  Harris Failed to Perform Big With Racial Minorities Trump picked up two percentage points with black Michiganders to earn 9% of the black vote, compared with 7% in 2020.   “He has clearly done something that no Republican candidate has done,” Mitchell said, “and that is to motivate African Americans to vote for a Republican candidate.” Minorities in Michigan saw their “purchasing power diminish” during the Biden-Harris administration, Huizenga said.  “They’re seeing the cost of groceries, the cost of running a small business, the cost of pulling up to the gas pump,” the Michigan Republican said. “They felt the impact, and I think that’s why that message that was out there, about even the border, it ties into a law-and-order narrative that clearly has gotten out of control under the Biden-Harris administration.” “I think that Trump held true to the economic message,” Huizenga continued, “as well as the safety and security message. And here in Michigan, all that the Dems wanted to talk about was abortion.”  Because Democrats were so focused on abortion, which already is legal up to birth in Michigan, they didn’t sufficiently address the economy, foreign policy, energy policy, and other issues that actually affect Michiganders, Huizenga said.  “Donald Trump has sort of become counterculture,” he said, “and I think there’s a certain appeal to that.”  Mitchell said the Democrats lost some of the minority vote because of illegal immigration.  “Illegal immigrants were taking jobs that many African Americans might otherwise have gotten,” the pollster said, “and I think they were fed up with the Biden-Harris administration for allowing this just incredible number of immigrants into the country. And that door is going to be slammed shut by the Trump administration.”  Harris Didn’t Appeal to Michiganders of Faith This time out, Trump picked up 20 percentage points with Michigan Catholics, according to Fox News exit polling.  Fox News exit polling on Catholics by state. These numbers are eye popping:PA +14MI +20WI +16FL +29AZ -1NV +6GA +7NC +17— CatholicVote (@CatholicVote) November 6, 2024 Huizenga said he has seen this party realignment with Irish Catholics in his own family in Michigan. He attributes it to the Democrats’ positions on social issues, abortion, and the economy.  “They’re small business owners, they’re union members, they’re the firefighters and the police officers,” Huizenga said of the Catholic vote. “I’m not surprised that people of faith have felt that the Democrats long ago abandoned them, and in fact, it’s gotten so bad they feel rejected.”  In mid-October, Harris didn’t go to the Al Smith Dinner, an annual fundraising event for Catholic charities traditionally attended by presidential candidates. Many older Catholics saw that as a slap in the face, Mitchell said. “She basically gave the highway straight to the Catholic vote to Donald Trump by her actions,” the pollster said.  The former president also had a net gain of 16,000 votes in Dearborn, the largest concentration of Muslim Americans in the nation.  The Biden-Harris administration tried to play both sides in the Israel-Hamas war, losing both Jewish and Muslim support, Mitchell argued.  “I think what they recognized is, [Trump] will settle a war right away and [Israel] will quit killing Arabs, and that’s what they want, and they were not getting that,” Mitchell said of Muslims. On Victims of Communism Memorial Day, Here’s What Parents, Teachers Should Know

Today, Nov. 7, is Victims of Communism Day, and this day of remembrance should be a regular part of K-12 school calendars. Legislators in a growing number of states are adding the recognition to state law, and more may be coming. Parents have been worried about the culture of K-12 schools in recent years, and the election this week also signaled Americans are concerned about foreign policy, which includes the nation’s relationship to communist nations, such as China. Policymakers should not consider it a given that all Americans share that concern, however. A YouGov survey released in October found that nearly 1 in 5 respondents had a “very or somewhat” favorable or neutral opinion on communism. A 2021 survey found that millennials and members of Gen Z have the same positive feelings for capitalism and socialism. That helps explain why communist ideas, such as critical race theory and critical gender studies, have made inroads in K-12 schools, and why young people—including teachers fresh out of college, and elementary and secondary students—are not able to distinguish between free markets and socialism. And make no mistake, critical race theorists and gender theorists have communist roots and trace their ideas directly back to Karl Marx in their writings. The culture wars in education still represent a struggle between socialist ideas and democracy. The Civics Alliance—a collection of conservative researchers, educators, and advocates—is helping educate and inform students with a model resolution for K-12 school boards. The resolution calls on boards to designate Nov. 7 as a memorial and use resources from the Victims of Communism Foundation’s K-12 curriculum in classrooms. Former Virginia state Delegate Mark Cole, a Republican, sponsored a version of the resolution that delegates adopted in 2018. Lawmakers in Arizona, Florida, and Texas are among those in nearly a dozen states that have adopted similar resolutions, with officials in seven other states considering the provisions, according to the foundation. The Victims of Communism Foundation also has teacher training programs that many parents would find a welcome change from DEI trainings. It also held a conference for educators in the summer of 2023 that included presentations from dissidents from communist countries. DEI trainings, meanwhile, are unpopular and ineffective at the trainers’ goals of promoting what they call tolerance, and as an application of critical theory’s ideas, DEI has obvious socialist sympathies. Recognizing the ahistorical and biased content that many educators are using, conservative families and teachers are no longer relying on colleges of education or state departments of education to provide school officials with quality instructional tools. The nonpartisan group 1776 Unites has created a K-12 curriculum for teachers to use to counter racially biased content such as The New York Times Magazine’s 1619 Project. The teacher- and parent-led organization Freedom in Education is collecting classic books to provide to schools to meet the growing influence of activist gender organizations. Groups such as the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network regularly send books promoting transgenderism to schools and claim to be active in 33 states. By providing teacher training programs and curriculums, the Victims of Communism Foundation is meeting a need and giving school personnel resources to counter communist ideas. School board members can demonstrate leadership in their communities by considering the resolution. Choosing curricular materials is part of school board members’ and district leaders’ responsibilities, and officials can send a clear message to educators and students by making the Victims of Communism Foundation’s materials readily available. President-elect Donald Trump’s first administration displayed a commitment to quality civics instruction through programs such as those of the 1776 Commission, a collection of academics and researchers the administration assembled to study and report on the need to improve civics instruction. But educators don’t need Washington’s permission to teach historically accurate lessons about America’s founding ideals. Americans’ choice on Tuesday demonstrates that voters are more aligned with policies like the 1776 Commission’s than teaching students they can change their “gender.” Lawmakers and educators should take note and make the Victims of Communism Memorial Day an annual reminder of America’s commitment to freedom and equality. Rep. Yvette Clarke Urges Social Media to Label “Manipulated” Content and Combat “Misinformation”

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. Congresswoman Yvette Clarke made one of those last-ditch efforts ahead of the US elections to persuade her audience that things like deepfakes, as vehicles for “misinformation,” are capable of “subverting the democratic process.” Equally, this kind of narrative that’s permeated the campaign season, tirelessly repeated, is likely to continue after this year’s ballot, since the overall goal now is to introduce new laws that would “regulate the field.” It’s worth noting that this line of thinking has been treating even obviously humorous and/or satirical AI-generated memes as “dangerous misinformation” that can “disrupt an election.” As of the time she made the statements, Clarke sat on the House Energy and Commerce Committee as its vice-chair, and on the House Homeland Security Committee. Related: AI Watermarking Is Advocated by Biden’s Advisory Committee Member, Raising Concerns for Parody and Memes In order to fight what she considers “manipulated content,” one of the congresswoman’s demands for social platforms – who she said are publishers – is to use disclaimers or watermarks branding content as manipulated. There’s also the focus on new legislation, which, according to Clarke, should make those platforms “responsible” in making sure that what she refers to as their “customers” are not deceived. Clarke spoke about something called “Real Political Ad Act” which she said she introduced early in the election cycle that just ended on Tuesday. It concerns deepfakes, in terms of how they can be “weaponized to deceive” Americans. Naturally, the congresswoman was not referring to her own statements about the effects of the technology but was simply repeating some of the key campaign mantras. “You can disrupt an election, you can disrupt voting. There are a whole host of ways in which this technology can be used to subvert the democratic process, and we have not protected ourselves in time for this election cycle,” Clarke said in September. This legislator also shared she was not convinced that “enough Americans” are able to draw their own conclusions – where one she would like them to draw is that, “our ecosystem is the Wild West and within that is false information, deceptive information.” Clarke went on to declare that social media platforms are publishers who should be operating under the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules. And that means they must make sure “there’s either a watermark that makes it possible for the public to know that this has been manipulated content or a disclaimer that says that the information that is being received is either for entertainment purposes or it’s fake news.” That sounds like more work for the by now thoroughly discredited “fact-checkers.” Clarke also lamented the fact a growing number of Americans rely on the internet to get their news instead of “traditional cable broadcasting” (she somewhat disparagingly – and confusingly – refers to this shift as “adopting sort of virtual lives”). AllSides Data Confirms MRC Studies: Google Search Manipulation Against Right Is Real

Recently released AllSides data confirms MRC study results. Google Search manipulation of news outlets is real, and it overwhelmingly favors the left. Media bias ratings firm AllSides assessedGoogle’s right-leaning and left-leaning bias in search results for news related to the 2024 election, particularly news concerning presidential candidates Vice President Kamala Harris (D) and President-elect Donald Trump (R), and other important election issues like the economy, immigration, crime, abortion, so-called climate change and gun control. Over 65 percent of the news Google displayed in its search results on these topics was left-leaning, emphasizing once again the bias MRC has repeatedly exposed.  In fact, out of the top 10 outlets featured by Google in its search results on select topics, Fox News was the only right-leaning outlet featured out of more than 500 media articles analyzed, per AllSides. In a Google search for “election news,” AllSides found that Google displayed 16 times more news from outlets it rates as “lean-left” than news it rates as “right.” Meanwhile, 68 percent of results for “Trump News” came from outlets AllSides rates as “Lean Left,” and 73 percent of Google results for “Harris News” likewise came from left-leaning outlets. X owner Elon Musk reacted to the AllSides chart on Google’s bias on Election Day by touting his platform, “Send X.com links to your friends so that they know what’s really going on.” MRC Free Speech America studies have also repeatedly shown Google consistently buryingcampaign websites and right-leaning news in search engine results. Indeed, on Oct. 1 and Oct. 8, approximately a month before Election Day, right-leaning sources were buried in Google search results for searches on Trump and Harris — on Oct. 8, the first right-leaning source was 23 pages in. Again three weeks, two weeks, and about a week ahead of the election, and on Election Day itself, MRC found that Google buried right-leaning media in searches for the terms “donald trump presidential race 2024” and “kamala harris presidential race 2024.” On October 30, just before early voting ended in multiple states, Google buried all but left-leaning legacy media in search results about Trump’s presidential race for President Joe Biden and Harris’s 2024 opponents, particularly Trump. Likewise, in November 2023, just before the third GOP presidential primary debate, Google buried the campaign websites of Joe Biden’s Republican and Democrat presidential rivals.  Researcher Dr. Robert Epstein and his team at America’s Digital Shield also exposed Google for sending noticeably more voting reminders to liberals and moderates than the conservatives. Conservatives are under attack. Contact Google here and demand that it be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency, clarity on “hate speech” and equal footing for conservatives. Biden-Harris Sycophant Scarborough Now Lectures Dems On Their Failures

Call it a liberal-media variation on "physician, heal thyself." Joe Scarborough spent much of the first hour of today's Morning Joe pontificating about where the Democrats went wrong. His focus was not their tactical moves, but their broader failure to understand and connect with the American people regarding their concerns. As if Scarborough—Democrat flunky that he has duly been—hasn't himself personified the very problems of which he complains? Captain Nantucket has his pulse on the working class? And now, in the wake of the Democrats' disaster, he dares to lecture the Dems about where they went wrong—without admitting and apologizing for his contribution to their defeat? Huffed a haughty Scarborough: "It's time for the Democrats to look in the mirror and figure out exactly what went wrong. We'll just see if they're self-aware enough to do it." Making my Chanukah gift list now. Joe Scarborough: Mirror [make it a big one.] Point and laugh as Scarborough declares "I hate Monday morning quarterbacking here, I really do." Insincerity oozes from every pore.  Scarborough scolded the Kamala campaign for failing to respond to Americans' concerns about illegal immigration, and to that iconic ad showing Kamala, in her own words, expressing support for taxpayer-funded sex change surgery for inmates, including illegal immigrants. Perhaps Scarborough can go back over the months and point to moments when he second-guessed Dem strategy.  But overall, there has been no show more slavishly devoted to parroting Dem themes than Morning Joe. There's a reason why Joe Biden made Morning Joe his favorite show, calling on his staff to watch it, and becoming phone buddies with Scarborough. And when others were calling out Biden's undeniable decline, it was Morning Joe who claimed that Ol' Joe was "sharp as a tack," and Scarborough himself saying "f-you" to people who don't believe this is "the best Biden ever." Scarborough approvingly quoted Al Sharpton's criticism of the Democrats for being run by "beltway insiders." But what is Morning Joe other than a platform for an endless stream of such insiders, all spouting the same Dem talking points?  Nary a dissenting Dem voice is heard. Let alone—heaven forbid—an actual Trump-supporting Republican. In a final bit of utter obliviousness, Scarborough castigated Dems who suggest the party's strategy should be to "just say that Donald Trump is evil." This from the man, and the show, whose stock-in-trade, whose virtually daily offering, has been to condemn Trump as a fascist, a "full-on Hitler," a would-be dictator, and an existential threat to Madisonian democracy. We called him "the king of Nazi analogies on TV." Will Scarborough ever have the integrity to admit and apologize for his own failure to abide by the prescriptions he now loftily doles out to the Democrats? Don't bet the rent on it! Here's the transcript. MSNBC Morning Joe 11/7/24 6:05 am ET JOE SCARBOROUGH: There were such transformational changes in this race yesterday. You know, Jonathan asked at the end of his show, where should Democrats go from here? I'd suggest France for a couple of weeks and think it over. 32% of Americans, only 32% of Americans who voted, identified themselves as Democrats. Donald Trump won, if I'm not mistaken, I think I saw this in Mike Allen's newsletter, one of three votes from people of color. And Donald Trump has put together a working-class coalition across racial lines that nobody has done in this country in over 50 years. And so, yes, people need to look back at the campaign, and they need, they certainly should feel free to call out Donald Trump for all the things that he said that were shocking and deeply offensive. But if you're a Democrat right now and think that's going to get you elected four years from now, it didn't get you elected a couple of nights ago. So again, it's time for the Democrats to look in the mirror and figure out exactly what went wrong. And I think, Willie, you and I have been talking about it over the last four years or so. It shouldn't be really that hard for them to figure out exactly where they went wrong. We'll just see if they're self-aware enough to do it. . . .  I hate Monday morning quarterbacking here, I really do . . .  But, Jonathan Lemire, there was some reluctance to go there, to talk about the things that were concerning Americans, that really mattered this year. Illegal immigration, the mass border crossings. Yes, they put a bill out there, and, yes, that was good, but there wasn't anything more definitive on it than that. That was something that concerned Hispanic voters. That was something that concerned black voters. That is something that concerned all voters. We will talk again, we've been talking about the transgender ad that we kept talking about on this show. Thirty thousand times it ran, over 30 million dollars. And kept talking about it, saying, this is going to be a problem in the three states that you need. . . .  And yet, they just didn't respond to it, because they were afraid to respond to it, because it might offend some small subset of their base. . . .  They have lost working class America. The question is, how long until they understand that this isn't just about tax cuts. This isn't just about economics. This is about cultural markers that matter greatly in these people's lives? . . .  Whatever issue you want to talk about, you gotta be able to say it, and make sure that you're willing to stand up to the extremes in your party that are pushing an agenda that puts you, according to Reverend Al Sharpton, outside the mainstream of 80% of people, not only inyour party, but 95% of the people across America. Let me quote Reverend Al Sharpton from right here this morning: "The Democratic party is led by beltway insiders and not people on the ground. I exist only as a civil rights leader, and I've lasted as long as I have, because there is a huge vacuum that must be filled." And so,you're exactly right. It's, the beltway insiders are the people who are seen as out of touch with middle class, working class Americans. . . .  I read in the New York Times today. And gain, people are going, what are they doing? Why don't they just say that Donald Trump is evil? Da-da-da-da. You can do that if you want to lose for the next four years. You can do that if you want to lose for the next eight years.

Biden sounds upbeat in first speech since devastating election loss for Kamala Harris: 'Giving up is unforgivable'

President Joe Biden appeared almost happy in the first speech he's given since the devastating loss for Vice President Kamala Harris in the election. Biden spoke for about 10 minutes from the White House on Thursday and tried to encourage supporters to keep fighting despite their discouraging failure to defeat President-elect Donald Trump. 'The America of your dreams is calling for you to get back up. That's the story of America for over 240 years, and counting.' "In a democracy, the will of the people always prevails," said Biden. Biden claimed to have given the U.S. the "strongest economy in the world" and reassured followers that his policies would continue to help Americans for the next decade. Some viewers noted that Biden looked almost happy at times during the speech. Biden: "Yesterday, I spoke with president-elect Trump to congratulate him on his victory and I assured him that I would direct my entire administration to work with his team to ensure a peaceful and orderly transition." pic.twitter.com/bKy18dIasH— TheBlaze (@theblaze) November 7, 2024 He said he spoke to Trump and congratulated him on the election. He also promised to ensure a "peaceful and orderly" transition. He also encouraged Americans to avoid divisiveness and defended the integrity of the election. "I've said many times, you can't love your country only when you win. You can't love your neighbor only when you agree. Something I hope we can do, no matter who you voted for, is see others not as adversaries, but as fellow Americans. Bring down the temperature," said Biden. "Setbacks are unavoidable. But giving up is unforgivable," he said before repeating the line for emphasis. Joe Biden: “Remember, a defeat does not mean we are defeated.” pic.twitter.com/iuKUNehMhH— TheBlaze (@theblaze) November 7, 2024 "We all get knocked down. But the measure of our character, as my dad would say, is how quickly we get back up. Remember, a defeat does not mean we are defeated," he continued. "We lost this battle. The America of your dreams is calling for you to get back up. That's the story of America for over 240 years and counting."Trump appears to have garnered 312 electoral votes, and Harris has only 226, now that some outlets have called the races in Arizona and Nevada. "The American experiment endures," Biden said. Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

Republicans celebrate Scott Presler for his incredible work turning out the vote for Trump in Pennsylvania

Winning elections is a collective effort, but some individuals shoulder far more responsibility than others, as demonstrated over the past several months by conservative activist Scott Ryan Presler, founder of the Early Vote Action PAC and former chairman of Gays for Trump. Presler, the son of a retired Navy captain, put his nose to the grindstone in Pennsylvania, working to turn out the vote for President Donald Trump. After Trump beat Kamala Harris 50.5% to 48.5% in the Keystone State, Presler tweeted, "Mister President, I'm pleased to share that we have delivered Pennsylvania for you. Congratulations, sir." Presler is now being celebrated for his efforts. BlazeTV's Allie Beth Stuckey wrote, "GREAT JOB!" "Thank you, Scott," wrote Robert F. Kennedy Jr. "You were a miracle worker." "Thanks Scott!" Elon Musk tweeted Wednesday following Trump's landslide victory. "You're a legend Scott," tweeted Donald Trump Jr. "The Republican party needs to pay this guy and put him in charge of voter registration in ALL of the swing states," wrote Wall Street Silver. "Not a talker," wrote James O'Keefe. "A man of action. He put in the work and did what he said he was going to do." Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Co.) similarly celebrated Presler, writing, "You have gone above and beyond and we are so grateful for all the work you've put into winning this election." Presler previously indicated that after graduating from George Mason University with a 3.63 GPA, he couldn't find a job, so he began walking dogs for a living. Unfortunately for Harris, that turned out to be a short-lived career. After spending two years working to defeat Hillary Clinton, Presler committed to getting Trump re-elected and renewing America. His activism took on different forms. 'Pennsylvania has the power to change the world.' For instance, in 2019, Presler traveled to cities dirtied by "failed Democrat policies" like Baltimore and worked to clean up their streets. He told Fox News Digital at the time, "We organized 200 volunteers, on a Monday, a workday, and we picked up 12 tons of trash in 12 hours on the most dangerous streets of America in West Baltimore." "We went to Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, Dukane, Detroit, Houston, Kenosha, Los Angeles, Miami, Milwaukee, Portland, Pittsburgh, Philly, and I was even protested for picking up trash in San Francisco, California," added the activist. Over time, the activist refined and focused his efforts. In January 2023, Presler announced the launch of his PAC with the stated purpose of "increasing voter registration, along with increasing absentee voting & early voting participation, beginning with the key 2024 swing states of Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin." Presler noted in a Jan. 24, 2023, op-ed that EVA is going to organize and mobilize, devoid of insider political drama plaguing the RNC and the D.C. swamp, and lead the way in ensuring that every right-leaning American is registered to vote and excited to vote early, whether by mail or in person. And by achieving this goal, Early Vote Action PAC is going to ensure that 2024 is a year of Republican victories. While making good on his plan, he was attacked viciously by Democratic operatives such as Alex Floyd, rapid response director for the Democratic National Committee, who called Presler "an election-denying conspiracy theorist." Elements of the liberal media similarly smeared Presler. A Daily Beast hit piece, for example, deemed him a "radical" and insinuated he was an extremist. Undeterred, Presler announced on Sept. 20 that he would not leave Pennsylvania, citing the need to be present for the "final battle." "For the next 40+ days, I am not leaving Pennsylvania. I even purchased property in Pennsylvania just to vote for Donald Trump. We have 40+ paid staff on the ground & ALL of our resources are going to PA," wrote the activist. "We're all in." Weeks later, when Trump returned to the site where he was previously shot by a Democratic donor, Presler was brought onstage, where he told the crowd, "Pennsylvania has the power to change the world." After imploring audience members to double-check their voter status, he said, "A message to our union workers: We want your vote. We want to keep jobs here in America. To our beautiful Amish in Lancaster and across the state: We will protect your raw milk, your dairy, your farming, your school choice, your religious freedom, your ability to afford to have 10 beautiful children per family." Trump ultimately won the state with over 130,000 votes. Blaze News reached out to Presler for comment but did not receive a response by the deadline. Like Blaze News? Leftists in Massachusetts, one of the bluest states in the country, have pledged to protect the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants living there as a second term under President Donald Trump looms on the horizon. On the campaign trail this year, Trump repeatedly promised to deport en masse many of the millions of illegal aliens who have stolen into the United States during the Biden-Harris administration."We're going to have the largest deportation in the history of our country, and we're going to start with Springfield and Aurora," Trump said earlier this year, according to USA Today. Now that the American people have spoken and voted overwhelmingly to send Trump back into office, Massachusetts liberals claimed they will do all they can so that the commonwealth's 100,000 or so illegal aliens — who have drained untold millions in taxpayer-funded resources for the past four years — can stay where they are.In response to MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell asking her on election night whether the Massachusetts State Police would "assist in mass deportations," Gov. Maura Healey (D) replied, "No, absolutely not."Healey also told O'Donnell she would fight against any "pressure" exerted on state officials to cooperate in similar efforts."Every tool in the toolbox has got to be used to protect our citizens, our residents, and protect our states and certainly to hold the line on democracy and the rule of law as a basic principle," she added.'Gov. Healey may feel her far-left Democratic base wants this, but this election showed us the vast majority of voters do not.'Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell (D) slammed what she called Trump's "deportation force" and promised to join forces with leaders across the country to stop it, even though polls consistently show that most Americans support deporting illegal aliens rather than granting them a pathway to citizenship."We are prepared for every scenario — obviously when he was president before, he led and started with a ban on certain populations and certain constituents," Campbell said, referring to Trump's previous ban on immigrants from some Muslim-majority countries. "We are well aware of that, and AGs came together then to work in partnership to combat that administration."The City of Cambridge, a sanctuary city and the home of Harvard University, likewise pledged to "protect" all of its residents "regardless of their immigration status.""As a Sanctuary City, Cambridge affirms the basic human rights and dignity of every human being and provides education, health and other critical services to all residents of Cambridge, regardless of their immigration status," said a statement from city spokesperson Jeremy Warnick.Cambridge is also committed to "supporting and promoting the safety, health, and well-being of all of its residents," his statement added, according to the Harvard Crimson.Paul Craney of the Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance claimed that these sentiments about illegal aliens are out of touch with most of the Bay State."Governor Maura Healey needs to begin listening to what the voters want instead of telling us what she thinks we should hear," Craney said in a statement to Blaze News. "Illegal immigration and inadmissible migrants are having a big negative impact on taxpayer resources, and the election was fueled in part due to this issue. Gov. Healey may feel her far-left Democratic base wants this, but this election showed us the vast majority of voters do not."Like Blaze News? White Kamala supporter, 82, arrested for hate crime after she assaulted 2 'brown-skinned' female Trump supporters: Police

An 82-year-old Washington woman was arrested around 1 pm. on Monday for a hate crime after assaulting two Trump supporters, according to police. The alleged victims — 55-year-old Gina Powell and 66-year-old Mary Jennings — were waving signs and flags supporting former President Donald Trump. They were allegedly confronted by an elderly woman while supporting Trump a day before the 2024 presidential election on a street in Edmonds, Washington. 'She made it very clear it was my skin color.'Police bodycam footage shows the suspect wearing a "Harris-Waltz 2024" button on her vest. Race seemed to be a part of the Kamala Harris supporter's issue with the women championing Trump. Powell — who is Hispanic — told KTTH host Jason Rantz, "She looked at my face and said, ‘I can’t believe you’re voting for a racist ... how dare you, you should be ashamed of yourself.'""I was just shocked at just the presence of mind, and she made it very clear it was my skin color," Powell added. The unnamed 82-year-old woman told police, “I approached her, and I said I want to know why you're voting for Trump. That's the only thing. And. And I said because you're brown-skinned."The suspect allegedly told the Trump supporters, "Do you know what will happen to people like you if Trump is elected?" She purportedly said the women "should know better." The Edmonds Police Department said in a statement on Wednesday: "During the incident, the suspect indicated the race of the victims, and their political beliefs were the catalyst for her approaching and yelling at them about their views before the assault.""When officers contacted the suspect, she stated that she could not understand why people of color would support this particular candidate," the police noted. "The suspect commented on the victim's attire and skin color before the suspect pushed the victim and punched her in the chin."At the time of the alleged confrontation, Powell was wearing a T-shirt that read: "Pro-God, Pro-Gun, Pro-Life, Pro-Trump." Powell told KOMO that the suspect shoved her and "pushed her back."Powell then allegedly told the woman, "Don't touch me." "And then, not even a second, she just popped me right in my chin," Powell explained. The suspect told police, "I pushed her away, and then put my hand to her chin." Jennings attempted to get between the two women, and she was also allegedly assaulted. Jennings said the elderly woman punched her in the chin and "slammed" her jaw shut. The Trump supporters did not need medical treatment for the alleged attack. However, Powell said she hasn't been able to go back to work yet because she's "still kind of in shock." The Edmonds Police Department said the suspect was "very animated and even attempted to push an officer while demonstrating how she had acted."During the investigation, police said the suspect "continued to show no remorse for the incident and the potential to continue her behavior toward others."Officers established probable cause for a hate crime arrest. KOMO reported that the suspect has not been charged, but a judge found probable cause for a hate crime offense and two counts of fourth-degree assault on Tuesday. The 82-year-old woman was booked into the Snohomish County Jail. Edmonds Police Chief Michelle Bennett stated, "The constitution protects peaceful rallies in our community, and community members should never be met with violence while exercising those rights. Our officers properly determined that this was more than just an assault and arrested the suspect for the appropriate charge."Mayor Mike Rosen said, “I’m disheartened that this violence has occurred in our community. Elections are an important part of society, and freedom of expression is the foundation on which democracy is built. Community members peacefully showing political support should not be subject to hateful violence. I’m thankful there were no serious injuries, and the suspect was held accountable.”Powell said the alleged physical incident will not deter her from publicly supporting Trump. "He got shot by a bullet, and he said ‘fight, fight, fight,’ I got a little jab in my chin, so I'm not sitting down," Powell said, making a reference to the Trump assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania in July. The Edmonds Police Department said it did not release news of the arrest until after the election was over so as to not stir up more political tensions.
