Be prepared for "bad news" from Ukraine. This is what NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says in an interview with German ARD.
In the interview, which took place on Saturday, the NATO summit talks about the war as a "war of attrition" against Russia. He hails Ukrainian attacks and assassinations against Russian cities, industries and other targets as "great victories". He also calls on the West to produce more weapons.
- It is a war about efficiency. A war of logistics. Increasing production is critical, he says.
- The more we support Ukraine, the faster the war can end.
Stoltenberg also calls on the Western world to wholeheartedly stand behind Ukraine, both in good times and bad.
- We must also be prepared for bad news. War develops in phases, Jens Stoltenberg points out without going into more detail about what he means.
