‘Blinking Lights Everywhere’: FBI Director Warns Foreign Terrorists Trying To Exploit U.S. Southern Border

FBI Director Christopher Wray warned this week that the United States is facing a heightened threat level from foreign terrorist organizations that can exploit the southern border following Hamas’ terrorist attacks against Israel. Wray testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday and urged them to reauthorize Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act‚ warning that failure to do so would result in the U.S. Intelligence Community being blinded as it tries to identify and neutralize threats. “Stripping the FBI of its 702 authorities would be a form of unilateral disarmament‚” he said‚ adding that “702 is key to our ability to detect a foreign terrorist organization overseas directing an operative here to carry out an attack in our own backyard.” He said that failure to reauthorize Section 702 “would be akin to laying bricks to rebuild another pre-911 style wall.” CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP Wray said he has never seen a threat environment as unique before where “all the threats or so many of the threats are all elevated all at exactly the same time.” “So blinking red lights analogy about 9/11‚ all the lights were blinking red before 9/11‚ apparently‚” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). “Obviously all of us missed it. Would you say that there’s multiple blinking red lights out there?” “I see blinking lights everywhere I turn‚” Wray said. “I am concerned that we are in an elevated threat environment‚ a heightened threat environment from foreign terrorist organizations for a whole host of reasons‚” Wray said. “And obviously their ability to exploit any port of entry including our southwest border is a source of concern. There’s a lot of discussion about numbers and numbers are important‚ but let’s not forget that it didn’t take a big number of people on 9/11 to kill 3000 people. So while numbers are important‚ numbers don’t tell the whole story. And we have seen an increase in so-called KSTs‚ Known or Suspected Terrorists attempting to cross over the last five years.” Wray said that Iran was “the world’s biggest state sponsor of terrorism” and that it has tried to carry out multiple assassinations on U.S. soil and has launched cyberattacks against children’s hospitals in the U.S. over the last couple of years. He also pointed out China is a major contributor to the fentanyl epidemic that is killing tens of thousands of Americans per year and that Russia is conducting aggressive cyberattacks against the U.S. on a regular basis.

‘The View’ Blows Up Over Campus Anti-Semitism — At Least One Host Is Fine With It

“The View” co-hosts got into a heated discussion over the topic of anti-Semitism on college campuses — and Sunny Hostin argued repeatedly that students should be allowed to engage in protests calling for the genocide of Jews. The conversation on Wednesday’s broadcast was a reaction to the Capitol Hill testimony from several university presidents that took place a day earlier — during which Harvard University President Claudine Gay argued that calls for Jewish genocide only violated the school’s code of conduct in certain “contexts.” Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar weighed in first‚ disgusted by what they had heard from the leaders of such prestigious institutions. “There is no justification‚” Goldberg said. WATCH: Sara Haines calls out the international women's groups that are refusing to condemn Hamas raping Israeli women on October 7:"We had a believe all women and recently discovered the violent rape in Israel and women's groups around the globe were quiet…" pic.twitter.com/dov8Et7BYy — Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) December 6‚ 2023 Co-host Sara Haines argued that colleges had a responsibility to make sure that Jewish students felt safe on campus — and that especially following years of people being told that words were violence‚ there should be some consistency when the words were being directed at Jewish students. Haines went on to criticize women’s groups worldwide for failing to speak up amid reports of Hamas terrorists using rape and sexual violence as weapons against Israeli women during the October 7 massacre. “We had to ‘believe all women’ and recently discovered the violent rape and mutilation in Israel and women’s groups around the globe were quiet or late to speak up‚” she said. CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP Hostin jumped in then‚ saying that colleges were the “perfect place” to have discussions that were “uncomfortable” and argued that free speech should be absolute on college campuses‚ even if students were calling for genocide. She went on to argue that “context” did matter‚ saying that if large groups were calling for genocide it was protected speech‚ but if one student issued the same statement directly to a Jewish student one-on-one‚ that was when it would constitute harassment. WATCH: Hostin doubles down on defending the calls for genocide and claims she knows how it feels because she's "been the subject of hateful comments."She claims that private universities can't have strict policies against the calls for genocide and scoffs at the idea of "moral clarity" pic.twitter.com/u2fOYdzRt6 — Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) December 6‚ 2023 Hostin continued to argue that the law protected such speech‚ even when co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out the fact that universities were allowed to implement stricter polices — and had done so when it came to speech attacking other minority groups.

Trump Casts Doubt on Biden’s 2024 Candidacy During Hannity Town Hall

In a recent town hall event hosted by Sean Hannity‚ former President Donald Trump shared his candid thoughts on a range of issues that are currently at the forefront of national discourse. One of the most striking moments of the evening came when Trump was asked about the potential Democratic nominee for the 2024 presidential election. Trump expressed skepticism regarding President Joe Biden’s chances of being the Democratic Party’s choice for the upcoming election. He pointed to Biden’s age and health‚ suggesting that these factors might impede his ability to secure the nomination. The audience responded with laughter‚ indicating that Trump’s remarks resonated with those in attendance. Hannity: "Do you think he (Biden) will be their candidate?" Trump: "I personally don't think he makes it. He's in bad shape physically. And mentally he's equally as bad and maybe worse. He's got vicious people surrounding him. Young‚ vicious. They're communists." pic.twitter.com/5Rj6xu0hKo — TheBlaze (@theblaze) December 6‚ 2023 The conversation took a more serious turn as Trump discussed what he perceives as Biden’s cognitive struggles. This is not a new line of attack from Trump‚ who has frequently questioned Biden’s mental fitness for office. Trump’s comments reflect a broader narrative among conservatives who have raised concerns about Biden’s capacity to lead effectively. Trump also touched upon the political climate surrounding Biden‚ describing the people around him as “young‚ vicious” and labeling them as “communists.” This characterization plays into fears among conservative circles about the direction of the Democratic Party and the influence of its progressive wing. Hannity: Now‚ just to be clear‚ you would never abuse power as retribution against anybody‚ right? Trump: Except for day 1. After that‚ I'm not a dictator pic.twitter.com/jOFrA0MCDx — Jack Poso (@JackPosobiec) December 6‚ 2023 During the town hall‚ Trump reiterated his commitment to never abuse presidential power‚ except to enact policies he believes are crucial for America’s well-being‚ such as closing the border and increasing oil drilling. His emphatic chant of “DRILL‚ DRILL‚ DRILL” underscored his stance on energy independence and economic policy. Trump’s promise not to engage in retribution against his opponents was a significant pledge‚ given the highly charged political environment. His assurance seemed aimed at alleviating concerns about the potential misuse of executive power. The former president’s remarks on energy policy were linked to his views on inflation‚ as he suggested that a change in policy could lead to immediate economic benefits. This assertion aligns with conservative beliefs that regulatory rollbacks and increased domestic energy production can positively impact the economy. The town hall event provided Trump with a platform to connect with his base and articulate his vision for America’s future. His statements reflected a desire to return to policies that he believes strengthened the country during his tenure in the White House. As the 2024 presidential race begins to take shape‚ Trump’s commentary at events like this town hall will likely continue to influence the political conversation. His ability to command attention and spark debate remains undiminished‚ as evidenced by the reactions to his predictions about Biden’s candidacy. The evening concluded with Trump leaving an indelible impression on the audience‚ reinforcing his position as a central figure in conservative politics. His performance at the town hall was a reminder of his enduring impact on the national stage and his potential role in shaping the outcome of the next presidential election. Reba Debuts Emotional New Song About Her Late Mother On “The Voice.”

Reba McEntire is usually one of the people on “The Voice” who watches others perform but‚ this week‚ she took to the stage with a new song. The song‚ called “Seven Minutes in Heaven‚” is just one from her latest album‚ “Not That Fancy.” It’s no wonder‚ though‚ why she chose to perform this one in particular — it’s all about her late mother‚ Jacqueline Smith‚ who passed away in 2020. McEntire uses this new song to take listeners on a journey with her as she imagines what it might be like to visit her mom in heaven‚ even just for seven minutes. Large screens display imagery of fall leaves‚ and fog beautifully takes over the stage‚ perfectly setting the scene that Reba imagines. YouTube In the song‚ McEntire pictures passing by famous folks who have already passed but‚ instead of taking the time to talk to them‚ she heads straight for her mom. In fact‚ she even shares that‚ if given the chance‚ she’d pass on the chance to ask God questions. Reba Performs Emotional New Song on “The Voice” “I wouldn’t spend all my seconds asking God questions ’cause He knows I’d be back soon‚” Reba sang. “If I had seven minutes in Heaven‚ I’d spend them all with you.” As this moving performance ends‚ a black and white photo of McEntire’s mom appears on screen‚ prompting her to say‚ “Oh‚ I miss you‚ Mama.” McEntire’s fellow coaches proudly look on and cheer‚ clearly emotional for their co-worker and friend. The audience also erupts in applause. What a beautiful tribute to her mom! Watch Reba McEntire perform her new song‚ “Seven Minutes in Heaven‚” on “The Voice” in the emotional video below.
